My theory has always been>There's a small amount of people who will watch AEW no matter what just because the like wrestling but don't like WWE. There's a larger amount of people who will watch WWE but nothing else because they like wrestling and they're stuck in their ways. There's a very small amount of people who like wrestling so much they watch both. There's a small amount of people who only tune in for big events like The Rock returning or a blood n guts match. What really shifts the ratings is the people who like wrestling but cant be assed to watch both companies. So they just watch whatever company is currently more interesting. Basically, it ends up being that WWE is the moon and controls the ebb and flow of things.

I genuinely don't know how people watch 5+ hours of WWE every week. Sometimes I put it on in the background and still manage to get bored. The Rumble was shit and Mania isn't looking much better. I stopped watching regularly after WM last year and I've completed 27 games, watched about 100 films and read a shit load of comics and 12 books.
