a clip of her (Wrestling) is going viral but the e-drones think 30 minutes of talking is real wrestling
>>19938767Sigh…If only she still looked like this.
>>19938767You're so close but still so clueless. The viral clip is what will attract people to watch. The promos and the stories and the reasons for the matches is what will keep them. Granted I wouldn't expect the singular AEW fan to understand what it takes to retain an audience
I honestly have no clue how they manage to make her look like a bedazzled turd every time she's on TV.
>>19938792>The promos and the stories and the reasons for the matches is what will keep them.so how many people did jey uso bring since he was a main eventer and why did the wrestlemania tickets become cheaper?
>>19938767And still gets no reaction from the crowd. She needs personality so bad.
>>19938810We’re talking about Giulia not Lyra.
>>19938792You actually managed to get that backwards. Promotions sacrifice short term numbers by using promos and angles to build to the big number (the matches themselves)
>>19938812They should literally put these two in a 30-minute no holds barred street fight, and let them bloody each other up with ridiculous spots to earn the crowd’s respect. Doesn’t matter who wins or what the story is. It’s literally just a respect match to earn some holy shit chants and reboot their aura.
>>19938820I think one of them got THIS is AWESOME chants. I don’t remember. They’re both the same to me.
>>19938813>You actually managed to get that backwardsNope. The actual wrestling part of wrestling is and has always been the least important in terms of trying to get people to watch. The only people who give a shit about all the spots and moves and retarded bullshit that AEW sucks itself off over is the hardcore smarks who are already going to be watching anyway. It's the characters, the presentation, and the drama that is going to hook in new people and get them wondering what this is all about. Everyone in the world knows about pro wrestling. They know what a piledriver is. If they don't already give a shit then showing them 50 other moves isn't going to change that
>>19938838Again, you say this. But history shows that wrestling shows with very little wrestling tend to do poorly. I know it's 30 years ago, but when you tuned in to WCW and saw 20 guys standing in the ring with a mic, then jumped to the WWF and saw an actual match, there's a reason people would watch the match.
>>19938838you are genuinely retarded
>>19938843> then jumped to the WWF and saw an actual match, there's a reason people would watch the match. The matches that lasted 2 minutes?
>>19938767post the webm
>>19938838You have a point, it's just that ultimately all these storylines and promos have to pay off in a wrestling match
>>19938838Does anyone care about the WM40 build if it led to Cody vs Roman in a debate?
>>19938843>But history shows that wrestling shows with very little wrestling tend to do poorly.Bitch what
>>19938885Everyone came to see Steve Austin embalmed, and left before the buried alive match
>>19938861Would anyone have cared about Roman and Cody again if it wasn't for that media event where Rock and Cody and Roman and Seth all got in each others faces and... wait for it... talked?Obviously the end goal is the match itself. But at that point you've already got people in the seats and sitting down to watch the ppv they bought and you have their money. It's the promos and moments and drama and story building up to the match that actually sells people on the match
>>19938887You're either being intentionally retarded or you're completely clueless. The reason people would pay to see the buried alive match is because of the shit leading up to it. That the entire fucking point of weekly wrestling shows. To sell you the ppv
>>19938900You're actually retarded in this. The reason people went crazy for the attitude era was because Steve Austin and the Rock were so insanely charismatic they could've taken a 2 hour nap on live TV and drawn 12m viewers. Doing attitude era slop without Austin and Rock results in WCW 2000
>>19938843Except those WWF matches were like 5 minutes long and have unclean finishes 75% of the time because those "matches" were just storytelling mechanics like the promos were all the same
>>19938907stone cold wasnt a good character cause the wwf invasion failed lol
>>19938924Stone Cold was not the reason the invasion failed
>>19938907>The reason people went crazy for the attitude era was because Steve Austin and the Rock were so insanely charismaticYou're so retarded you don't even realize you're agreeing with me >>19938838
>>19938838She needs/needed to get a clue and do what Mr Charisma did in japan. Watching Onita even back then, he was average or below before forming FMW in terms of his wrestling but even when he became limited in FMW and beyond due to his knees exploding, he still made it work and built hype for matches. I know he obviously had the benefit of leading up to the barbedwire matches to help build the feud, but even watching early FMW where he had feuds against fucking Dick Murdoch and Beast The Barbarian, they were normal matches with no death match gimmicks and he still drew the house because people wanted to see him specifically. I don't know her full power level when it comes to how much English she actually knows outside of memorizing English lines fed to her, but even broken English can be enduring if there is a charismatic person behind it.
