>Sir, do you need taking to a hospital???>GODDAMMIT PAL, ITS A LOCAL MEDICAL FACILITY
why was he so autistic about verbiage like thissome, like red viscous fluid instead of blood i can kinda understand >gotta keep it pg pal! but others like this or demanding the audience be referred to as the “WWE universe” are just fucking strange
>>19962614hes a mad man you know?
>>19962614What are you saying pal, in boxing the superstars and divas don’t strive to have championship opportunities just like in sports entertainment?
>>19962604>black cop approaches the car>ahhh Shelton I knew I could count on you pal
>>19962614Conditioning the audience, which he was a master at, when he wanted to be, and other times he just tried to brute force stuff just because. I guess because he was so good at it he took it as a challenge to make stuff work when it was initially rejected. Some things are for the actual fans, others are for the outsiders and other businesses. Medical facility isn't tied to what people hear when the word hospital comes up, it doesn't bring up that imagery in your head, since nobody uses the term. Instead of using 'wrestling fans' when WWE does media the roster and hosts etc. have to refer to it as the WWE Universe, as its own thing, and people are fans of just WWE, and they aren't connected to any other company or indie stuff, same as 'Disney fans' as opposed to 'animation fans' if Ghibli did the same thing, saying 'I'm a Ghibli fan' has very different connotations to saying 'I'm an anime fan'.
>>19962665i have a bridge to sell you
>>19962674You mean a local river crossing installation
>>19962674Nothing I said is outlandish and I'm not saying the WWE Universe thing worked, but the medical facility thing is basic psychology. Using a word with the same meaning but is not often or ever used doesn't trigger the same associations in the brain. Saying peepee and cock have very different reactions, same reason he fired that dude for calling people pricks, in his head that word had associations that were no good, he thought about that shit a lot, but not saying he was always right.
>>19962665>Medical facility isn't tied to what people hear when the word hospital comes up, it doesn't bring up that imagery in your headYea I suppose, it makes me think more of a clinic. Why she fuck would that make any difference tho?
>>19962720He used local medical facility because when they said hospital in the 90s a bunch of utter retards would call up the hospital to find out if hillbilly Jim was ok
>>19962730Popular Vince quote: Perception is reality. He was obsessed with image and I think he learned a lot from his dad, who conditioned the fans in WWWF as a prototype of the modern WWE marks. Stories from him in high school also.had him always keeping up a certain image, like puffing out his chest, because that was 'manly'.
>>19962742so he was autistic?
>>19962720i have a self help book to sell you
>>19962665That makes sense, try to completely capture the audience by divorcing their perception of wrestling outside of the WWE from what they watch when WWE is on
>>19962755You mean an idea suggesting paper
>>19962755I read some in University until I realized it was just a bunch of hopium and the only way to improve was by creating habits etc. But one I read on psychology and influencing people actually helped, it's a pretty famous one but just the ideas of body language etc. changed a lot for me. Book of Five Rings, the biggest takeaway for me was that he said once you go on the defensive you are leaning towards defeat. Most successful people never go on the defensive and just keep attacking. The only good defense is actually baiting, or setting uo your offense, a la Mayweather cheesing all those wins being a 'defensive' boxer. When the scandal with Vince started, he didn't play D, he appeared on Smackdown the next show and it worked. But other factors took him out of action.>>19962760Smarks who criticize it don't often realize how much it actually worked to divorce himself from other wrestling because the reality is that he took his dad's company and added Memphis, Florida, ECW, etc. to it overtime and even got all those guys to work for him and do creative, commentary, train his roster, etc. from Lawler, to Dusty, Heyman and Cornette, etc. then other places like Patterson, Pritchard, Hayes, etc. All his people were from said 'wrestling' but he convinced people he wasn't one of them or using their ideas. All his top guys from the past fee decades were brought up by those people, and all the match styles and stips and angles etc. are from them as well.
Also, I just listened to the Cornette vid on this and peeked at the comments and realized the jokes in this thread are all copies of the jokes in the comments.
>>19962844You mean funny audio sound bites.
>>19962739hillbilly jim retired in 1991.
>>19962868I just called up the older persons home and they had no idea who I was talking about. Brb calling some more of them.
>>19962853At least you are coming up with your own stuff and trying to entertain people.
>>19962614 It's really hard to explain what kayfabe era to people, 3 generations of people never experienced it Most Vince forbbidden word list come from FCC and general "this shit got us in trouble" basis.Marks used to call around hospitals around the area to see, meet or just generally stalk wrestlers, as well as reporters doing that shit so they'd a: get heat from the towns, tv company and emergency services as well as B: blow up any fake injury story immediately if no records were found of those hospitalizations.
My favourite insane Vince story is him changing Walter to Gunther because he thought people would call him wally.
>>19962604>almost lost vince and hulk on the same dayit would've been a kino /pw/ meltdown
>Sir you’re going to jail>you mean the local Kevin Nash Penetration Center???
