Watched AEW for the first time since before covid on the Saturday before last. Saw Thekla for the first time. Was vaguely aware of her through/pw/ but never heard her talk. Her live promo against Thunder Rosa made me instantly a fan. Then I saw the staircase where she's wearing the same clothes and she says "Stay Daddy, you still BLEEDIN' Baby?" Holy shit. She actually seems like a truly unhinged, sadistic woman who is using a pro-wrestling career and an excuse to legally inflict pain on other women and get away with it. I can't wait to see more of her. I still think AEW is kinda gay, but the Toxic Spider has my full attention.
