Do they really think that?, among the UFC fans that I know Lesnar was labeled as an attraction because he was an oddity at the time and that's about it, no one remembers any of his matches, he didn't have an amazing record, was a very whatever champion and so on... He wasn't particularly bad either like Punk, but he just was one more guy pretty much.

Top ranked heavyweight fighters in MMA are the elite of the elite and could absolute kill anyone in a hand to hand fight. There's just too much experience and size that they can overwhelm 99% of the population. Lesnar is a legit athletic freak. NCAA Division I national championship in wrestling. Made the NFL. UFC heavyweight champ. I do not think anyone considers him to be the greatest MMA fighter of all time but very few people have a resume like that.

Both fights showed that Lesnar was much stronger, could take him down easier and could ground-and-pound him, Mir was just the better BJJ grappler from the guard and he caught him in a heel hook in the first fight because Lesnar was literally a newbie when it comes to ankle hooks and other tricky submissions. If you want to shit on Lesnar, it's his striking defence that was garbage, along with his cardio not being that good for 3 rounds. But he clearly showed his NCAA HW champion wrestling skills that allowed him to beat Mir, i just wonder wtf happened to his cardio since he was much better in this aspect during his college days, probably got too big after joining WWE.
