This was the worst part of Smackdown. However irritating Cody's win might be to a segment of the audience, there's at least a case to be made for it. Clowning out the newcomer who has been getting over organically is inexcusable. Trick can recover from this, but not if they do it repeatedly. It's already looking like HHH sees him as the black LA Knight.

The comical over-selling in the bottom half of the image cuts against the slick shit-talker character that instantly got over with the audience. This is simply bad writing.
