Low mid carder used to look like this. What went wrong?
>>20032555Johnny Gargano would clear this big bitch
>>20032555his tits started lactating
>>20032555Sadly this is a sport and wrestlers need mobility even more than looks
>>20032555They stop recruiting career criminals to be wrestlers
Wrestlers shouldn't be between 5'10 and 6'4. Makes giants look bigger.
>>20032571This is the truth, unfortunately.
>>20032569>Sadly this is a sportkek
Testosterone levels dropped so you have fewer real men who even look like that and wrestlers upped the anti on workrate, so chances are guys who look like that aren't going to have the passion for the business to keep up and WWE is too tight fisted to pay them to care enough.
>>20032610Bah Gawd almighty look at them hosses
>>20032616But I make one dick joke and get a two days ban...
>>20032555Didn't like THE GRIND BRUV or the locker room ribbing culture. He was a legit tough guy in an era where the business was transitioning away from legit tough guys and where the remaining big names all were at their worst for ego trip politicking after winning the MNW and seeing Rock and Austin leave. Big dumb mother fucker like him who's actually been in fights isn't going to do well in high school hazing culture where his choices are quit or go to prison again.>>20032569He had mobility. Watch his WWA matches from before he joined WWE, he could actually move around reasonably well, climb/slingshot the ropes and stuff, throw spinkicks. What he needed was ring experience and seasoning so that he knew what to do and when without getting flustered by crowds or forgetting what he's doing. He needed 12-24 months working OVW and house/dark matches. They debuted him way too soon, he'd worked less than 50 career matches when he was signed and his TV debut was like his 70th. Because of his size you can't have him being the underdog face, which means most matches he has to lead the match unless they're tag, or can only do quick squashes. He was in no position to be ready. He'd probably have quit anyway given he hated the travel and schedule but the guy was thrown out there way too soon in a position he was far too green for. The formula for how to use a big, charismatic green guy was established with Nash, stick them as a bodyguard and tag guy until they've got enough reps in. The 2002-07 period saw a lot of new guys get misused and most of it was "We won the War" ego trippers protective of their newfound spot wanting to make sure they kept their comfy positions. The Class of 2002 are the exception because Cena was liked by Stephanie early, Orton was a nepobaby, Brock was Vinces chosen one (then quit anyway so there was even more desire to haze out/screen out new guys), and Batista was tight with HHH early. They had friends in the right places.
>>20032559Many people are saying this
>>20032624Someone mentioned a while back that wrestling was the harder spot to get into, you can't just do well on wrestling school and make it big, you need the it factor, the timing, the book opening, the looks, a gimmick and an angle all together to even make a splash in professional wrestling Take Eugene for example, he came to wrestling at a time we were eager for a retard who copied other wrestlers moves like it was a subnormal playing a videogame It worked while it did and stopped working as fast as it started, still completely over while it lasted
>>20032559that part
>>20032610wtf brock is small
>>20032649The gimmick had a shelf life that they didn't figure out how to evolve, it stopped working because they turned him heel and nobody wanted to boo a downie. If they'd had him being an evil downie who was being manipulated by a heel, or gone the rumored "I was only pretending to be retarded" route it might have worked, but nobody was going to boo a downie. He turned back face but the damage was done and he just went back to the exact same thing.Meanwhile nowadays most wrestlers do his "I'm copying legends and cool moments from old matches" stuff but for serious. Eugene predicted modern wrestling
>>20032555If were back in the 90s, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles would've been jobbing to Yokozuna.
>>20032740Instead they job to my samoan tribal chief
>>20032650The dude on the left was 6'10" and 500 lbs. These days you have 5'10" guys with that shape.
>>20032569Nathan Jones was a professional strongman/powerlifter. He was objectively more athletic than majority of nerds in wrestling today.
>>20032740My brother, Bret and Shawn were the big faces of 90s WWF.
>>20033353He said mobility, strongman/powerlifters aren't known for mobility. Nathan Jones was exceptionally bad in the ring even for the time.
>>20032555The guys who looked like that got fired for being shitters. I remember Nathan Jones getting booed out of the building after his debut match on the SmackDown after Mania 19. It doesn't matter what you look like if the fans don't fuck with you.
>7ft super soldier>this is the best he can findGrim
>>20032610It’s a whole team of hosses!
>>20033526you get a kid thats tall and will keep his hair, best of both worlds
>>20033366No, they weren't you retard. Late 90s attitude era when the business peaked Shawn Michael's was basically semi-retired, and Brett was relegated to being a lackey for the NWO. The top guys were all 6'2"-6'10" and 250-300lbs. Guys like Austin, Rock, Taker, Kane, HHH in WWF, and Goldberg, Hogan, Nash, Steiner in WCW. That was the standard.
>>20032650bray wyatt was pretty recent wdym
>>20032610WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL
>>20032610https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxmT4P9Smns
>>20032610The least mobile guy in this photo is the Big Show and he was tall enough to be used as a JTTS. Nathan Jones was so bad he got pulled from a Wrestlemania match at the last minute ans Matt Morgan was so green they wrote him off 3 months later.
>>20032650No homo but Drew is so sexy lads...
>>20032555I blame British wrestlers.
>>20034690Macho Man was like 5’11
>>20032555Zamn who is this dimes machine, make the call Tony.
>>20032555This guy should've been a wrestler
>>20032555Who would win in a UFC fightNathan or Phil?
>>20033526KWAB
>>20033526She prob was cute when she was younger
>>20033526Yellow fever is such a bizarre mental illness. Total waste of genes
>>20032559Nathan Jones would squash 99% of wrestlers today like a bug in a legit shoot..and he's not even a great fighter skill wise. Yet would still legitimately murder majority of wrestlers today with his bare hands.
>>20032610This stable was zero dimes
>>20033526I personally blame Australian women for this shit. Ms. Chang saw a superhuman specimen and grab it right away.
>>20032562too many steroids
>>20037547He would have squashed 99% of wrestlers from any time period in a shoot fight
>>20037547Like have you heard some of the stories about this dude when he was in prison? He used to pry his cells bars apart, walk down the kitchen and grab food to take back to his cell just to show off to the guards and other inmates that he could
>>20032612This is boomer cope. Since they voted for this world we live in. They're are plenty of High test men, that look like wrestlers. They just don't want to work inbwhat it's become
>>20039010The pay in wrestling hasn't kept up, big dudes can make way more being a bench warmer for a couple of years in the nfl than they can make in 20 years as a pro wrestler
>>20032610This stable was mega dimes
>>20033526I want to watch them have sexo
