If you're outside the US you get all WWE content (Raw, SD, NXT, PLEs, etc.) in a Netflix subscription for less than this and on top of that you actually get Netflix to watch as well. AEW is a smaller show with less content, at a higher price.
>>
>>20033909

>>
>>20033909
he doesn’t care about making money he cares about giving his international viewers an easy way to watch without triller
>>
>>20033909
not really since it's for people from countries where AEW has never been broadcasted in, not even on max (i think it's US only)
so the difference from triller to this has to be minimal
>>
>>20033933
Getting AEW onto Max would be better and Tony probably did try. Max enters the UK market in about 6 weeks so this might be Tony's backup plan because they weren't interested in worldwide AEW rights.
>>
I'll prob grab this and a VPN for the pape, nice. I am weary though since it's fast and really cheap. Might have extra ads.
Might just wait and see.
>>
>>20033974
An issue is the AEW rights are all over the place, for the Netflix deal to happen WWE had to plan out all of their deals expiring at the same time for the most part. This could be partially a stop gap to get to a global streaming deal. Will help greatly if it's successful.
>>
>>20033990
WWE tends to package everything together for their secondary markets. I think WWE's rollout was basically whenever the existing WWE deal expires in your country everything moves to Netflix.
>>
>>20034003
Yeah but they mostly converged at the end of 2024, AEW's are all over the place. And Triller had digital rights, I think. It was all over the place. I'd assume Max would want exclusivity. And on top of that Max's global penetration was relatively low since HBO in particular had the same issue.

If I can get all my AEW content in one place I will most likely sign up for the service. I'd no longer have to switch between the TNT/TBS app or Max and Triller.

Centralize everything into a neat little package so I can consume it easier
>>
>>20034051
It was mainly possible because Netflix were committed long-term. It's a 10 year deal and losing a little time from some markets at the start wasn't a big deal. If HBO were committed to AEW they could make a long-term deal happen and roll it out. They'd only run into issues if AEW signed long-term deals elsewhere already (which maybe is the case I don't know).

Yes they are. The MyAEW fast channel is already available in the US for free and they literally have a 4-tiered US pricing plan ready to be deployed. MyAEW exists because Tony has known for some time that AEW is losing its TV deal and his plan is to move it to streaming.

Yes. Either dropped by WBD before the merger or dropped by Paramount after the merger. That's why Tony's in the process of moving AEW to streaming.

Because AEW still has a TV deal as of this moment. But they soon won't. Why the MyAEW fast channel available in the US at all? Why isn't it region locked? You know exactly why.
>>
>>20034937

Seems weird they would launch a new streaming platform when they have hundreds of thousands of viewers on HBO Max.

It is almost like they need a platform because they really don't get good viewing numbers, and are about to get cancelled by Paramount, but that cannot be true, right???

Also, why would they be including the PPVs for $10 a month? Dave told us AEW sells 200,000 PPVs every month for $40-$50. That would not make sense to sell them for 80% less, giving up that incredible money making aspect.

You know what... QUICK SAVE US TREVDOG!!! WE NEED MORE BLOKE MONROE AND DANHOSER THREADS!!!!!!

I can't stop thinking that ROH might be a huge factor in this whole debacle. Tony has been trying to get any kind of ROI on ROH and all it does is just cost him money, a drain on the already falling AEW profits.

These packages force consumers to buy ROH if they want to watch AEW. It's the only way Tony can sell that product.

anon tony doesn't even care about roh stop pls

Just looking at it from a business perspective. Tony did major in analytics after all. And that's the bottom line! (yes, Stone Cold used an accounting gimmick)

>Yes they are. The MyAEW fast channel is already available in the US for free and they literally have a 4-tiered US pricing plan ready to be deployed. MyAEW exists because Tony has known for some time that AEW is losing its TV deal and his plan is to move it to streaming.
>Yes. AEW is genuinely getting canceled any minute. That's why Tony is moving it to streaming and has a US pricing plan in preparation for losing the US TV deal.
>Okay and?
> Why the MyAEW fast channel available in the US at all?
>How many elderly people locked in basement does that equal? Probably need to steal at least 3 social security savings.
>rumao. I can smell your panic through my monitor. Smells like onions and shit. Wash your ass.
>Last year, I predicted that AEW would lose its TV deal and move to streaming. This is literally in the process of happening as we speak. I don't know why you're so upset, though. Tony's likely going to keep AEW limping along for years, streaming it to the hundreds of people willing to pay money to watch it on MyAEW. Buy an annual membership and be happy bro. Just think, you won't even have to be tormented by no milly posting once AEW is off TV! No more Nielsen ratings to make you seethe! It'll be win-win!

If you don't wanna pirate for whatever reason, 300 per year is a decent deal. Assuming AEW isn't adding any new PPVs, they'll do 9 PPVs this year, costs 40 bucks on HBO max, so you're saving about 60 bucks. And if they add more PPVs this year, you save more. But we're already through two of the three months that they usually skip PPVs for, so unless they add one in July, that's probably not happening.

AEW is currently transitioning to their own streaming because they're losing their TV deal. It's happening literally right now. You humiliate yourself with your denial of obvious reality.

Incorrect. Tony created MyAEW because AEW is losing its TV deal. It's their TV replacement.

WWE had dozens of tape libraries of some of the best historical territories in America, they had Smokey Mountain, they had the entire backlog of Smackdown, Raw and NXT from start to finish, they had free PPVs and every PPV from WWF, ECW and WCW. AEW has fucking nothing in their tape library to justify 10 dollars a month.

I'm sure Tony can get some indies to throw their libraries on the platform for pocket change but I don't see Tony getting access to any exciting tapes that WWE doesn't already have unless Tony does something really strange like cut deals to get CMLL to move off Youtube to be on the platform or even go to Mexico and try to negotiate for old lucha tapes from TV companies.

>>20038493
>I'm sure Tony can get some indies to throw their libraries on the platform for pocket change
Great, more poor quality junk that no one will watch. The AEW library already has that base covered.
