Why does he keep failing? He'll hover around the main event and even get big moments like a Royal Rumble win or a Wrestlemania main event but they always cut his legs out from under him when he gets going. What does WWE have against Drew?
>>20034165>Why does he keep failing? How has he failed? He's a multi time world champion and a Mania main eventer. Would you say Edge failed too? You need heels like that who you can slap a world title on and have be a legitimate champion for a while even if it's just to ultimately put over someone else. That's kind of the heel's job in wrestling. He's getting paid all the same regardlessI say this as a MASSIVE fan of the guy too. Of course I'd have liked to see him hold on to the title and have a big Mania match. But he did his job as they needed him to. He's far from anything close to a failure
>>20034176Edge would always float around the main event. McIntyre fluctuates between main event and midcard. He went from winning the Rumble and beating Brock to losing to Sheamus and Gunther for the IC title. Sure he's won some world titles but his career just feels like they have no faith in the guy and won't let him have an extended main event presence no matter what. They just took the title off him on TV for no reason and he'll probably be booked into a nothing midcard feud for WM. This is not the career of an Edge, more like Jericho
>>20034176which mania did he main event?
>>20034221covid one
>>20034203You're not wrong with this. I just don't think it's a lack of faith thing. Because what has he ever done to earn that label? His program with Punk was the last great main event story WWE's told. Which he carried HEAVY. But they want to do Punk and Roman and then Randy and Cody on the other side this year. If he doesn't factor into those plans then there's not really much more you could do there. Personally I don't think Cody and Orton needs a belt, but they've gone the route they have to set it upI still think they should add Drew, Sami, and Fatu to that as well. I get the story that's there with Cody and Randy obviously but it's just not that interesting to me especially when both are babyfaces as well
>>20034176He's had a better career than 99% of people that ever get in a wrestling ring but to smarks he's a failure, now make sense of that logic
>>20034165>What does WWE have against Drew? He's British. Vince is a plastic paddy who shoot hated the English. Hunner is a French Jew who hates all the British except for his old workout buddy Sheamus and his mentor Regal. If Drew was English he'd have peaked at Barrett level at best. Being Scottish saved him, but he's still too British for WWE.
0 charisma
>>20035466As opposed to Cody?
>>20038441Cody had his daddeh though, up to you what's worse between a lisp and the Scottish accent
>>20034236>>20034176Great posts
He may just settle into the Iishi role of being a gatekeeper to the main event, a pitbull lumbering around the yard, if you will.
>>20034165It's the fucking promos for me. Everyone loves them I suppose, but why is a guy who looks like him cutting all those Twitter epic mic drop ass promos in the first place? Like when did we decide wrestlers all had to talk like that to be considered good on the mic? When the massive "Scottish war god" is out there saying the same "you're aura farming, bro" stuff you'd expect from a guy like Ricky Saints, isn't that as cringeworthy as if he was out there trying to wrestle like a luchador? Carrying a sword to the ring is unironically less cringe than that.
the roids he took turned his face so monstrous looking
>>20038882It's just the facial hair
They don't give him any storylines. He's always just drew mcintyre
>>20040273Yup check my thread >>20040801
