If at any point in a wrestling match there is a spot that blatantly involves and looks like the opponent is cooperating, then it is an objectively bad match. If you are upset by this objective fact, then you do not understand wrestling.

>>20055289You do realize that every 5-star match has a few spots like this?
>>20055292Then it’s a bad match>>20055301>5-star matchAccording to who? Whoever it is doesn’t understand wrestling.

so every single wrestling match ever then

>>20055289I was watching some gAyEW a month or so ago and it was a 4 way tag match and there were two spots where all 8 men were cooperating to do the Young Buck's stupid fucking spots. I don't understand how any true wrestling fan can like such blatant choreography. It doesn't look like a real fight, it's closer to dancing
>>20055347>>20055358>Opponent grabs my arm and shoves me forward with his strength>My back is now to him and I am defenseless>I run to the ropes to get away from him>I turn and hit the ropes so I can see where he is, what he is doing>I run off the ropes for a counter attack
>>20055358It makes perfect sense that someone would try to turn around and bounce off the ropes to try and get some momentum into a counterattack instead of just eating shit by getting thrown at the ropes
>>20055383>>20055386>gAyEWtist stops responding after being exposed for having a low fight IQ
>>20055383> I run into the ladder to get away from him>>20055386Why would a wrestler throw another into the ropes if there wasn’t an expectation they’d bounce back, or it relies on the opponent being thrown to know the bounce back. Let me clarify. You have wrestler 1 and wrestler 2. Wrestler 1 Irish ships wrestler 2. According to you, the Irish whip occurs because wrestler 2 is countering being thrown into the ropes. But that doesn’t explain why wrestler 1 would even consider throwing wrestler 2 into the ropes. Why would wrestler 1 throw wrestler 2 if wrestler 1 has to rely on wrestler 2 counterattacking? And if wrestler 2 knows he’s being thrown because there is an expectation of a counterattack, wouldn’t the better counterattack be to NOT bounce off?
OP only watches RINGS
>>20055292>doesn't blatantly involve cooperationlearn to read aewtist. i know you're an aewtist because it's their only argument against anti smarks. you're probably gay too
>>20055289Going to let you in on a little secret all your wrestling hating friends and family are well aware of already:All wrestling looks fake and cooperative. They're all "bad matches" by your standard. You've just learned to suspend disbelief and criticism so you can enjoy other aspects of the thing. That's why focusing too hard on workrate is retarded.
>>20055292Did some pig just get cooked? I’m a little slow.

>>20055292They're acceptable if they don't do that whole burpee routine shit.I can understand yanking someone by the arm and then them bouncing back rope a dope style for momentum. As far as boomer moves go, Taker's Old School and everything like it are the worst offenders.
>>20055911>throw opponent into ropes>he turns around<hit him head on>throw opponent into ropes>he doesn't turn around>eats shit in the ropes>hit him in the back if he reboundsAre gAyEWtists really this physically inept?
>>20055292>>20055295>>20055377>>20055946>>20055958The irish whip doesn't look cooperative. That's why it was used all the time even at the height of kayfabe when wrestlers were trying as hard as they could to avoid looking like they were cooperating. Try again, retarded tranny.
>>20055292>samefagging a post >can't readLmao
>>20055358>cartoonishly bouncing off the ropes and running back at them isCorrect. You're so low IQ you can't even understand the logic of the irish whip. You're getting propelled forward at incredible speed and your only option is to either run or faceplant on the mat. Then you bounce off the ropes because that's how physics work.
>>20055289If you have watched any real fighting you know this includes every professional wrestling match.
>>20056070>>throw opponent into ropes>>he turns aroundhe stops because he has control of his legs>>throw opponent into ropes>>he doesn't turn aroundhe slides out of the ring>>eats shit in the ropeshe extends his arms out and grabs the ropes to brace himselfThen he stops
>>20056209God gAyEWtists are so fucking stupid and physically incompetent>he stops because he has control of his legsThen he gets hit. Also that's not how momentum works, your fat ass couldn't stop if you'd been pushed by something hard (i.e. thick metal cables)>he slides out of the ringYeah this happens in matches and nobody gives a shit.>he extends his arms out and grabs the ropes to brace himselfThen still gets hit from behind if he isn't recoiled back by the force from the ropes stretching then returning
>>20056185>using the "it's fake fighting" copout excuseYeah, the fights in movies and TV shows are fake too but they maintain enough verisimilitude that people can suspend their disbelief and get invested. People could get invested in Neo and Agent Smith fighting in the subway because even though everyone knew it was fake in reality and they were really just two actors cooperating, on screen it looked like they were actually trying to fucking kill each other. Pro wrestling doesn't need to look real, it just needs to look real enough to make people suspend their disbelief. And irish whips look real enough. Blatantly cooperative retardation like this, on the other hand, doesn't.
>>20055292FPBP
>>20056236I agree with what you're saying, but I'll point out that this is actually a botch, not something that's supposed to look like it does. When wrestlers slam each other like that the guy getting slammed usually jumps. Their timing was off here, either due to miscommunication or Ospreay thinking Strickland was in position when he wasn't.
>>20056209>he stops because he has control of his legsHe can't stop because he's got too much momentum. You'd understand if you had legs.>he slides out of the ringHe's going too fast. Sliding out of the ring would result in him smashing into the barricades. >he extends his arms out and grabs the ropes to brace himselfThat'd look fucking ridiculous, leave a wrestler wide open to attack, and give them kayfabe whiplash. There's a reason why wrestlers turn around to do rope stops.
>>20055289This really got the only AEW fan seething
