I wouldn't mind if Tony fully leaned into being the niche indie promotion that flirts with deathmatches and whatnot, but this retarded fucker fully believes he can grab the mainstream WWE audience and keep them while doing indie garbage spots and shonen finisher spam for 8 fucking hours. They won't stick around for it. It doesn't matter if you have the Costco guys and Ronda Rousey and Wayne Brady and vaguely gesture to being an inclusive, anti-MAGA antidote to WWE. They don't want edgy illogical shit. If you want to appeal to sickos, appeal to sickos and go all in with that. You can't do both you stupid autistic sandnigger retard

Can anyone give me a counter argument? I have never heard anyone bring up good points against this, it's just "haha you're a pussy" followed by grunting and dilation noises. I'm not arguing AEW is ever going under because Tony can keep pumping it with his cheat code wealth. I'm arguing that this promotion will never truly grow unless he stops trying to placate sicko shitheads and his stupid gymnasts that get to book themselves because he's a pussy who can't tell people no.

>finisher spam
but enough about WWE Main Event Style

WCW and WWF never had or competed for the same audience - the WCW audience just went away
Kevin Sullivan pointed this out many times

Was Wayne Brady on the fucking show?

you should have saved this for any time other than the night where he actually pulled it off

Tony has directly called out Vince McMahon multiple times and continues to hire old WWE guys

And also yes they fucking did what are you talking about

How many kickouts at 1 after finishers or finisher-tier moves vs average WWE PLE? I'll agree that's somewhat of a problem across all modern wrestling but it's way more egregious in AEW. Finishers mean way less and they already don't mean shit.

from you?

Look at the ratings numbers
WCW still had 1.5 Milly for Nitro at the end, WWF saw no appreciable ratings gain after Nitro ended - it actually marked the beginning of their decline
You would know that if you listened to MSL & Kevin Sullivan (the GOAT wrestling podcast)

anyone that watched actually watched back then knows this but it wasn't just WCW hardcores going away. within 2 years of WCW going under WWF turned to total shit too. now part of that was Austin being broken down and rock fucking off to Hollywood but WWF very quickly became unwatchable to everyone but kids and e-drone adults.

He embarrassed his Dad with this shit

We’ve been having this same conversation for almost 7 years. Let go, it’s over.

Tony can't even beat NXT
>>
AEW is offering a different product, it's like what ECW but it has competent money people behind it and is actually popular. There are way less kids in the audience for their shows than WWE, which is wall to wall children.

Having flashbacks when I got dog piled on /wooo/ for suggesting TNA having thumbtack matches in the women’s division wasn’t going to be a ratings draw and probably turns off the people they’re trying to attract.
