>>20095381Day 2 being more light hearted is a nice choice. Main event UtaPyon showcasing their chemistry against Miu and Bee was cool. Miyu/Shoko slugging it out for the love of the game shows they still got the goods.
The girls who bought popcorn for Rika was cute and I'd like to ask her out on a date on the off chance she lurks here.

>>20095632I like Austin as an addition and probably around this time. Dallas really is the one that has to be figured out long term. Will be interesting to see how the livestream setup goes.
>>20095672Its not even worth to bring up the orange promotion. They can't even get out of Japan let alone figure out where to run an event in America. Meanwhile ActWres is running alongside an anime convention which is probably up their alley anyway.

https://proresu-today.com/archives/293448/>Konatsu Ren, known as the “softly popping fancy sheep” of Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, got into pro wrestling through her fandom of SKE48. When then-member Yuki Arai took on the challenge of pro wrestling, Ren was moved by the sight of her fighting in the ring.>“I became a fan of AKB48 when I was in elementary school, and I used to watch their concert videos on TV. SKE appeared in one of those shows. Since I’m from Hamamatsu, that made me want to go see them in Nagoya, and by chance I got off the waiting list for tickets—that’s what got me into SKE in the first place. At first, I supported Akari Suda.”>As she got deeper into SKE fandom, the number of members she supported grew. Yuki Arai became one of her favorites as well. However, at first she felt negative about Arai stepping into the wrestling ring.>“I can say this now, but at the time I kind of thought, ‘An idol doing pro wrestling…?’ But even then, I kept hearing about how hard she was working at it. Gradually I started to feel impressed, and eventually I found myself wanting to see it for myself.”>She then decided to watch Yuki Arai wrestle live. It was on February 18, 2023, at the Nagoya Congress Center. On that day, Arai teamed up with Miyu Yamashita to face Aja Kong and Moka Miyamoto. How did her first pro wrestling experience look through her eyes?>“First of all, I was shocked at how big Aja was.”>She was overwhelmed by Aja’s presence and strength. At the same time, her attention turned to the other wrestlers as well.>“I was watching without being able to match names to faces among the Tokyo Joshi roster, but everyone was so cute. And yet they were fighting these intense matches. That looked so dazzling to me.”>Starting with Arai’s performance, she was captivated by the other wrestlers too. While Aja’s wrestling reaffirmed her original image of pro wrestling as something powerful and even scary, she also discovered new appeal in it.
>>20095855>Before long, she found herself with a favorite women’s wrestler as well—Suzume.>“It started when I watched a singles match between Arai and Suzume on YouTube. Watching that match, I thought she was cute. Then, before I knew it, I started to think she was cool because she was cute. As I looked into her more, I learned that Suzume used to be a company employee, and I felt a sense of connection because our situations were similar. That’s when I started thinking I wanted to become a pro wrestler too.”>Having decided to become a wrestler, her choice was, of course, Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling. So how was her training leading up to her debut?>“I did quite a lot of sports-related activities from elementary school—like cheer dance and swimming. Among them, I think what really helps in pro wrestling is that I went to a gymnastics class and did trampoline. I feel like those experiences are really paying off now.”>Taking the ring name Konatsu Ren, she had her debut match on June 1 last year at Chunichi Hall in Nagoya. And incredibly, her very first opponent was none other than the Suzume she admired. At the time, Suzume was the International Princess Champion, having taken the belt from Yuki Arai. On top of that, the venue was Nagoya—SKE’s home turf. In a sense, it could be called an extraordinary debut match.>“When I heard it was Suzume, I was really surprised. But looking back on it now, I think maybe it was because it was Suzume that I was able to go all out.”>About two months later, Konatsu made a homecoming appearance in her hometown of Hamamatsu. On that occasion, she teamed up with Suzume.>“I was really happy, and I really wanted us to win together. But I ended up losing to Shino Suzuki. It was a Shizuoka vs. Shizuoka matchup, both of us representing the region. Not being able to win alongside Suzume… yeah, it left me feeling a bit frustrated (laughs).”>She teamed with Suzume again at the big show in Ota Ward on September 20.
>>20095865>Then, at Korakuen Hall on February 14 this year, she finally earned her long-awaited first victory. Her opponent was her junior, Shion Kanzaki.>“I don’t have any same-generation peers besides the referee and ring announcer. I’m the only one from the 2025 class, so ever since my debut I’ve been surrounded only by seniors. I really wanted to beat a senior. But then at Korakuen in February, I had a singles match against a junior. In that situation, people start looking at you like, ‘You have to win this or it’s bad,’ right? So rather than wanting to win, it felt like a match where I absolutely couldn’t afford to lose. Afterward, it wasn’t so much ‘I’m happy I won,’ but more ‘I’m relieved I managed to win.’”>After that, Konatsu picked up another victory on her own at Kariya on February 28. It was against the same opponent, but this time she teamed with Suzume.>“Kariya is also in Aichi Prefecture, so I was really happy. More than anything, I’m glad we were able to win together with Suzume!”>Although Suzume isn’t officially her regular partner, they seem to have a special connection as a team. So what about Yuki Arai, the other wrestler who had such a big influence on Konatsu entering pro wrestling? Strangely enough, the two have never crossed paths in the ring—not even once.>“That’s right. I wonder myself? Honestly, when I first debuted, I really didn’t want to fight her. But after facing Max the Impaler in a tag tournament, it’s like I stopped being afraid (laughs). After about half a year, instead of fear, I became more curious—what is Arai like as a pro wrestler? My curiosity about this side of her I didn’t know started to outweigh everything else. So now, I really want to face her.”
>>20095873>Rather than teaming up, she wants to face her directly in the ring. A match against her favorite, Arai, seems inevitable someday. As she prepares herself mentally for that day, there is first the Tokyo Joshi big event at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on March 29. There, Konatsu will compete in a “pure-blood” tag match: HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki vs. Toga & Konatsu Ren.>“At this Ryogoku show, there will be a lot of guest wrestlers, so matches featuring only Tokyo Joshi roster members are limited to the opening match, my third match, and the main event. Because of that, I want to really show what makes Tokyo Joshi special in this match. Also, personally, the other three in this match are all from the 2023 class. I’ve been chasing after my seniors this whole time, but the 2023 group has relatively similar experience, so I want to break into that group. Our opponents are an established tag team, while we’re not a regular team, so honestly we’re at a disadvantage in terms of tag chemistry—but I’m actually a fan of Toga as well (laughs). I want to do my best together with her, with that feeling of admiration!”>At the March 29 Ryogoku event, the two wrestlers Konatsu admires will both be competing in singles title matches. In the main event, Arai will challenge Miu Watanabe for the Princess of Princess Championship. Meanwhile, Suzume will aim to reclaim the International Princess Championship from MIRAI. And someday, it would be exciting to see Konatsu herself challenge Arai and Suzume on a big stage. The March 29 Ryogoku show may well be the starting point for that journey.

>>20096103Okay.-Really good show again. I'm not sure which one I preferred live. I think yesterday had a much better bottom of the card and today had a much better top of the card. Miyu/Shoko was obviously great. Miyu is just in an entirely different gear when she's working outside Japan. The Buccee stuff was over huge obviously. I popped for Kamiyu putting on the suit. Aino/Rika was fun too but again, I didn't see most of the crowd brawling. I had a good view of the popcorn force feeding though.-Another crowd that skewed heavily toward non-wrestling fans. The hype emcee they hired to plug the sponsors and merch asked before the show if this was anyone's first pro wrestling show and there were a shockingly large amount of hands that went up. More kids today. It seemed like more non-fans stuck around for the meeto tonight. Smaller crowd though tonight, both in terms of ticketed and SXSW people. -Very few photogs at ringside which was very much welcome. -They're letting the VIPs in an hour and a half before bell time this tour for whatever reason. We walked in and there were five or six girls working out in the ring. There was also a Japanese guy with them. Looked like a worker but I didn't recognize him. I don't want to go there, but the obvious comes to mind. They all quickly left. When I took my seat, there was a pink purse and a water bottle in the seat next to me. I just figured it was a fan's, but about five minutes later Miu came running out of the back and grabbed them and apologized to everyone in the row.
>>20096266-About an hour before bell Miyu and Arisu came out and did a mini training session thing with three young girls, probably between ages 6 and 9. I'm not sure what this was about. I know that they were doing that in Houston but I wasn't aware they were doing one in Austin. I don't know. Anyway, they were showing them how to do rolls and lockups and stuff. Everyone was ignoring them in the beginning, but eventually the small crowd that was in early started cheering for the girls whenever they did a move. Arisu showed them how to apply arm locks and sold like death for them which was amazing. Eventually they all took turns climbing up on the middle buckle and posing. Everyone starting cheering like crazy for them. It was so adorable. Arisu is just the fucking best. -I don't know when they went off the air, but one of the seconds handed Miu a note in English after the main event that she was supposed to read plugging the meeto. Her English is terrible and she had to stop and start like three times and was corpsing hard. The seconds were also dying laughing on the floor. The roster came out to do their schmoozing with the crowd and they all filed out single file. A little girl ran up and jumped into Shoko's arms and thank God she reacted fast enough and caught her. Again, ridiculously adorable. Predictably, the head CyberFight guy that travels with them and was escorting them lost his mind over this, but Shoko took it in stride. Again, fucking adorable. -I don't know why the meeto was moved outside but it was a cool vibe. I was able to meet everyone I missed yesterday so my meetoing is done. Uta is the FUCKING BEST. Oh my God. Rika too. I mean, they all are, but you know. I had some really good, relatively long conversations with Mizuki, Arai, and Miyu who remembered me from the breakfast taco thing last year. Kaya's English is pretty good. Aino is an absolute sweetheart too. Just the best. Mifu too. Her English is pretty good as well.
>>20096269-Lines were about what you would expect and similar to last night. Pom and Raku were in the beaver suits, so they had pretty long lines with people wanting to take selfies. -I just want to say that there are some really cool people in the TJPW/joshi community. Between last year and the two shows this year I've met a lot of great people while waiting to get into buildings and for shows to start. Just felt like saying that.
referee couldn't figure out to clear the pom poms out of the ring so Endo had to do it even though she's Mifu's opponent
>>20096272Should I take cash? 100 bills or 20? Do they give you change?
Arisu when she sees my awc
>>20096295I personally prefer cash. They have signs with a QR code that directs to the CyberFight PayPal, and you can pay for both the portraits and the girl's personal merchandise that way. Those are the only two options, so if you're going to go cashless just make sure you have the app downloaded and set up. Portraits are $30 and personal merch ranges from $20 to $50, so I find it's good to have a stack of 20s and 10s. Change is iffy. Some girls will have it and some won't. They'll find another girl to break bills though, so it's not a huge deal if you don't have exact change. Still, exact is better than not.
>>20096269Did you meet Miu? When I met her a couple of years ago it was awkward because she didn't understand any English
>>20096319Also, if you go PayPal, hold your phone out so the CF staff/player can see it, and enter the amounts slow. Then make sure they see the confirmation page.
>>20096326Yeah, she was getting ready to pack up though so she was ready to get out there. We didn't talk long. She was the last person I needed though so I was determined to see her. Her English is indeed terrible.
i'm so lonely...
>>20096269>-I don't know when they went off the air, but one of the seconds handed Miu a note in English after the main event that she was supposed to read plugging the meeto.kek yes that was all on the stream

>>20096397No lies detected. At least I'm aware of it I guess.
I would actually love to watch the girls working out and training in the ring before the show. I'm surprised that was open to anybody, even the VIPs.
>>20096337If anyone plans on meeting Miu at a meeto, brush up on your 日本語.>>20096269Based I'll try to meet Uta the next time I can go to a show.
>>20096442I don't think anyone smartened them up that the doors were opening so early because once people started filing in they nope'd out of there pretty quick. Like they're letting front row people in an hour and a half before bell and everyone else an hour and fifteen minutes. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I've ever been to a wrestling show that opened doors that early, even WWE shows where they have to file 15k people in.

Can someone who went to the Texas shows explain how the meet and greet works? Do you buy a portrait of the player you want to meet before the match? How much does that cost? Do you also buy the 2shot there or later on? How much does that cost? How long does a meet and greet with 1 player usually last?
>>20097306If anything the American audience gets the benefit of two-shots without the chairs/spacing/Koda giving the death stare. In place of that the ojii-sans get creative with asking the girls to do poses. Sometimes it gets a lil too weird. But American fans can still ask the girls for a one-shot.
>>20098437From the previous gen thread > They introduced a new system this year where you also got a "ticket" with each portrait that you had to hand over to the player. Each ticket though had "Austin Night 1" on it, so I had to ask if I could use them tomorrow night. They told me to bring them to the merch table and exchange them for Night 2 tickets. Also portraits and two-shot costs are separate. Which IMO is usually the case anyway.

The two shot (or one shot if you prefer) is included with the purchase of the meetoYou can buy the portraits before and after the show
Pom let me slide a finger in.
>>20098566Cool. So who takes the 2 shot? Do you specifically ask for the 2 shot? Sorry for all the questions.
>>20098657You can ask someone to take the picture for you, like a friend or someone in the queue. If you're an awkward no life loser like me one of the roster members can take your 2shot for you. Yesterday Suzume took my 2shot picture with Arisu.

>>20100523cheers will try to watch live on Saturday then if any of you will be there tell me where you are sitting
>>20100379That's the same day as Aja Kong's anniversary show in Okinawa.
Toga could be having a main event title match at the Tokyo Dome and she'd still saunter out on her entrance with that self aware half knowing smirk where she's taking the crowd in like she's strolling through a mildly amusing art gallery instead of pumping people up and acting serious. This is also part of why I love her.
>>20100608based gay chad
>>20100596ah of course
>>20100592There seems to be at least 2 posters here who bought VIP seats for every Texas show. Try to guess who they are in the front row

>>20100656It's why I assume there isn't more tjpw representation when we know Aja likes tjpw. They could only spare the two friendlies.
>>20100854
how did they players smell?
How do I get her to acknowledge me
>>20100994WHOOP THAT TRICK
>>20100994Beautiful women
xia li is having a tna title match 2 days before GP, probably why they pulled her
It's Shoko Thursday!!
>>20100725They must love seeing actual kids/families in the crowds
>>20101031They pulled her off a sumo hall excursion teaming up with Saree to have her eat the pin in a hastily booked triple threat. If you're not an employee TNA is the funniest company in the world. Pom levels of hilarious
Which player got the biggest filling of American meat?
Another poster release, again by the silent moebius/martian successor nadesico manga artist. I prefer this one to his ip mirai suzume poster

BLOODY WAKANA
When Is chika going to texas? Next year?
did i read correctly tjpw is getting a japanese voice actress at the end of the month?
Kinda shitty that namba will just walk straight back into her old job
>>20101150Cute Wakana.
>>20101150they really spend tons of money on this show and are promoting it as the biggest one ever
I really really dislike wakana
Lol the avro IG account tagged Tokyo story and didn't tag tjpw, and then they tagged Suzume, Arisu, and Miyu. And not Aino.I'm seeing a ton of influencer nonsense about the show, though.
Such as?
>>20101184She gave Rise a years head start.Survival of the fittest
>>20101244Like the one guy who had a camera on a tall pole and basically had it in the ring during matches so he could get good footage.
>>20097054I so hard right now
>>20101251So what did he get?
>>20101279I heard Misao made out with him after the show
>>20101318Same
>>20095453Cause they all came from San Antonio, they don't get a lot
>>20095545She was booked last year's, idk what happened this years
>>20101346Probably not worth flying her over from Florida if she's not going to sell much merch. Bertbixen and Jada live in Texas so they're probably super cheap to book
the allure of going overseas to eat the exact same food you eat back home
that meal had to cost $3000 at a place like that
Nobody's going to recognise her why she's still wearing her mask?
>>20101455That looks like Miyu's thumb holding the phone with the smurf charm on it.Eyeballing which players are drinking out of suspiciously looking cans and bottles. Who's drinking beer and spirits?
Is saki akais onlyfans worth it
>>20101467Probably just for photos?>>20101392Sometimes you want to see a foreign take on your favorite foods.>>20101463Hopefully it's being paid for by Tokyo Story or something. Oil Sama pulling some strings like when they had a big cookout last year on his farm.
>>20101455>misao sitting next to rika and shokobased
>>20101279Mostly weird looking POV footage of the girls doing moves.
Uta appears to be drinking spirits
>>20101482That's Suzume and Aino, Senor Faceblind
You can tell Misao is nervous af and wants to collapse and hide
Uta looks mature

https://www.statesman.com/entertainment/article/tokyo-joshi-pro-wrestling-sxsw-2026-austin-22084708.phpThe tjpw show got some local press, which made sure to mention Tori's "innumerable hand signs", lol. She's gonna kill this gimmick without some tweaks. Good thing her first match back in Japan will be a gimmick battle royal.
>>20101651jej
>>20096326I got to meet Miu, she's so kind hearted even though she's heeling a little right now with Yuki Arai! She definitely knew more English if any, and complimented me on my SpyXFamily shirt, and said she loved my shirt! I didn't want to go with a wrestling shirt, cause I knew every mark was going to go with every cousin-fuckers wrestler's t-shirt. I used Google translate to write a message to her that "You're such an awesome champion! I can tell you put in so much work to get to where you are" in Japanese, and when she read it, she jumped for joy! I almost cried like a little gay bitch in front of Miu kekekekekek!
