Take the oldest pictured, HBK, and compare the style of wrestling that predominated in the WWE in his day against that which predominates today in NJPW and AEW for the youngest, Ospreay. Too few take these situational contexts into account when evaluating the in-ring skills of wrestlers over time.I'm glad to see Seth get as much praise as he has in this thread. I wasn't expecting that. He's had to adapt his style in accordance with a number of restrictions that have prevented him from shining as bright as he can. The three men who enjoyed runs at the top of NJPW, by contrast, were expected to showcase their in-ring prowess in a way that would distinguish them each as among the best in the world. There's no doubt in my mind that most of the younger fans online would regularly mention Seth alongside the likes of Omega and Ospreay had he been expected to deliver in a few main events for the IWGP title. At the same time, I can't be too charitable and assume that Seth could achieve what Omega did during his peak in Japan.There's a lot to consider, and I could babble endlessly on this subject, but at the moment I'd rank them:1.
