I think since the original storyline with Rey Mysterio won't happen anymore since Rey got hurt, I think Gunther should retire Sandman at WrestleMania. Think about it, he's going to be in town anyway, and he's already planning to retire. At GCW he's doing a goofy match against the Invisible Man. I'd have him "win" that match and get on the mic and say "Fuck it, I got a real one left in me." Then the next time we see him, Gunther's doing a retirement open challenge at WrestleMania (build that for a couple weeks), and then Enter Sandman starts playing, and Sandman gets his last match on the grandest stage of them all. Doesn't have to be a long match, but I think it would be great. Only thing is you're technically misleading the people who buy tickets to the GCW show, but I think they'd understand given the circumstances.
>>20140928I love it
>>20140928Sandman should impale Gunther with a kendo stick and kill him.
>>20140928basedif you don't enjoy The Sandman then you don't understand professional wrestling
>>20140955Gunther appreciates that kind of thing too. He's talked about how Awesome vs Tanaka at One Night Stand is one of his favorite matches, even though it's very different from his style. I think part of Gunther would be giddy to get caned by the Sandman.
>>20140943Huge Pop
>>20140928This would only work if they got the Metallica rights just for one night at Mania. It would unironically salvage Mania 42 for the most part.
>>20140928Retiring beloved legends WWE fans think they'll never see again at big events might actually get Gunther over slightly.
>>20140928This is genius, which is why they won't do it.
>>20140928Why is there even a storyline involving Rey retiring with Gunther? Like the only reason that Rey should retire is through his son unless they're going to save that from Mexico
>>20140928Johnny Valiant is wrestling mania weekend, why doesn't Gunther wrestle him, at least he's a hall of famer
>>20140928you should actually be able to wrestle to be at WrestleMania so this will never happen
>>20141946>Why is there even a storyline involving Rey retiring with Gunther?I don't think that was actually going to be part of it. Either Rey would win, or retirement wouldn't actually be in the cards. It doesn't have to be the new rule that you have to retire if you lose to Gunther, but I do think that sometimes it should happen. And if Rey isn't going to be back in time for WrestleMania, I do think a retirement open challenge is a good idea.
The Sandman is retiring on his own terms in a fun, easy match. I don't think he's going to eat a dozen chops and a lariat because Paul might offer a paycheck
>>20142115Sandman was going to wrestle Janela until last month when he finally realized Sabu died after his match with Joey.
>>20140928dude why would you care about GCW fans? they arent human beings and deserve no such consideration. they deserve much worse than being ripped off or lied to. they all deserve to be cut into a thousand pieces and flushed down the toilet of the filthiest gas station in india.
>>20143564Kek. Gunther can probably be trusted not to kill Sandman.
>>20140978>I think part of Gunther would be giddy to get caned by the Sandman.Hardcore Gunther match with Sandman would be dimes
Insider here. Worst news ever he's going to become a "Paul Heyman guy" to face Seff at Wrestlemania.
>>20144886I don't know that I'd hate Gunther and Heyman teaming up. Probably not needed though.
>>20140928The crowd wouldn't know the words to Enter Sandman. It'd be a worse version of AEW doing Bodies, since only a quarter of the people there knew the words beyond the chorus.
>>20140928Sandman always sucked carrying around that gayass kendo stick. No one knows who he is at this point anyways.
>>20144886Does this mean Seth will be retired?
>>20146704shoot kill yourself IRL faggot
