After capturing the titles, they achieved their second defense at the March 29 Yasukuni Shrine show by defeating the super rookie trio of Yamaoka Seri, Shinno, and Yamazaki Yuuka. Speaking to the press after the event, Sakurai appeared to be in high spirits as she reflected on the growth of the young wrestlers who debuted last year.>“Those three only debuted recently, but they already have the skill to challenge for these titles, and that really made me feel they’re dependable. I think these belts are easier to earn a shot at than a singles title, so on our road of title defenses going forward, I want anyone to challenge us, whether they’re rookies, younger wrestlers, or whoever. I want to use these belts to energize Marigold,” she said.>This was her first title reign since losing the United National Title at the Ryogoku show last October. Although her title win with Showzuki and Yamanaka came after beginning as a makeshift trio for the tournament, Sakurai explained, “Up to now, all three of us had more of an individual image. So after we started teaming, we made a point of staying in touch every day and, above all, valuing communication. We exchange opinions on our gear and entrance music, and sometimes we even do yoga together to deepen our bond.”
