I both hate and love them. On one hand it's always at least a little awkward walking up to someone and paying for a picture/autograph. On the other it's based to be able to directly support the ones you like and put that money into their pocket. Some will chat you up and have fun stories. It's fun to check out the other merch tables and booths as well. Sometimes they'll have some interesting stuff. Overall I'd say based. Shower, look mildly presentable, and don't have the social cues of a retard and you'll have a good time

They are cooler than comic cons. Wrestling fans at a convention might be lame to some people but at least wrestling fans take showers before going out into public.
Only losers go to comic conventions, that's why Jim Lee had that DCxAEW cross over event because comics are dying and he is hoping that AEW rub will get a few new fans.

It's always been based, and whoever said wrestling fans at least shower is a liar. I've been to 3 GCW's and the meets have always been based. The prices are usually not bad, you see wrestlers who are up and coming and possibly just signed and you get to see them before they're called up, and sometimes you see Joey and you wonder how that fucker does it to get a fine hyna like Megan Bayne. Cons, same thing, but put some Vix vapor rub and lather that shit on your upper lip so you don't have to smell the pungent waft of goon-gooch-crust and sweat mongrel mark must at the con, and shower before, and just be cool, talk up your wrestler, they just want to be appreciated and if they're pieces of shit, now you know, too.

I feel like they'd mostly be sad to go to these days. It'd be the same 'legends' from 20 years ago except they're in even worse health and poorer than before.

Conventions are kino if the people there have a good attitude, meaning both the attendees and the people with booths. This almost never happens, maybe when it first started happening in the late '70s with Sci Fi.
