We've had a lot of injuries over the past two years, which is probably why a lot of these were scrapped. With the Rock, I think WWE cynically alluded to there being a story stretching past wrestlemania 40 to keep viewers interested in the show, even if they knew the Rock wasn't working another 'mania.
