WWE producer TJ Wilson thinks that wrestling fewer matches could hurt the development of upcoming WWE Superstars because they would not get enough in-ring experience.Wilson pointed out that LA Knight wrestled the most matches in WWE last year but the number of matches he wrestled was just 64. Back in the day, the top wrestlers of WWE would wrestle around 100-120 matches in 1 year.Wilson also highlighted that if the number 1 Guy is wrestling 64, it means the others could be wrestling around 15-30 matches as well, which means in 3 years’ time they won’t even have wrestled the number of matches a top WWE star used to have in 1 calendar year.In the end, the WWE producer said it is important to have more matches because more reps means more experience, leading to better quality matches.
some of the talent might want it, some of the trainers might want it, and maybe even the bookers might want it. at the end of the day though the accountants don't want it so it won't happen
>>20156223This is like the 10th person in the company now who has said they need to bring back house shows. Even fucking Cody has said it.
>>20156238Funnily enough wwe was actually turning a profit on house shows but modern capitalist theory dictates everything should alway get worse.
Semi retires Blue Panther worked around 100 matches last year to put things in perspectiva.
>>20156299oh yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they got it down to a point where houseshows were profitable. I just think that someone looked at the numbers decided that it wasn't a good enough margin, and that if they cut them they could squeeze more profit elsewhere. cause like you said that's how things work
>>20156223Why do they give jobs to people who have never drawn a single dime? What the fuck do jobbers like Tyson Kidd of Matt Bloom know about anything?
