They should introduce a 4th title.
trios titles would be cool on paper but honestly the roster is too small for four belts it would just water everything down

20 ironman belts. You can hold more than one at once. After they are all consolidated to one person, They win something.
>>20158311That's Shino not Arai though anon
>>20158931I'd say a junior belt for wrestlers with 3 years of experience or less would be a good idea but I don't know if TJPW is getting enough rookies to justify having a belt like that around. They'd probably have to be more willing use outside wrestlers from other promotions for that.
we need 1 belt per roster member so nobody feels left out
>>20159737If you can't see the value in a low card or junior title called the Lady-In-Waiting Championship then I don't know what to tell you.
introducing the Sex Haver title beltbelt holder gets to have sex with me
>>20159572They have NexGen tourney for that. Winner usually gets a title shot of choice and its been the IP belt. Will be a bit tricky once the 2023 class gets phased out since the 2024-26 class is small. Sadly the shindie belts have been used less to have TJPW matches. Setup title is rare to have Pom and Raku fight for it which was fun. Shoko's MLW run was kinda neat since most of her defenses were against TJPW.

Main event of the Fukuoka show is Arai and Toga VS Shoko and Miyu.I assume Toga is there to eat a pin but I wonder if it's time for the yearly "champ is pinned and then challenged for the title" spot. Koda's yearly post GP ShuPro interview:>Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling held its third event at Ryogoku Kokugikan. In the past, the event took place in March two years ago (3/11) and again two years later (3/3), and this year it is once again being held in the same month. The “spring Ryogoku big match” every two years is gradually becoming a tradition. For a promotion now entering its 13th year since its founding, the fact that it can continuously run events at a venue as large as Ryogoku Kokugikan can be seen as proof of its steady growth.>“As we aim to grow the promotion further, when appealing both within and outside the industry, Ryogoku Kokugikan carries a different weight and brand compared to other venues—it’s special to the pro wrestling world. At the same time, we realize it’s not something easy to keep doing, so we approached this event with the determination to continue and take on the challenge again,” said Representative Tetsuya Koda.>As Koda suggests, whether or not they can successfully hold an event at Ryogoku Kokugikan is a major benchmark, and his enthusiasm was clearly reflected in the match card.>“As in the past, but especially for this Ryogoku event, we made a conscious effort to reach beyond pro wrestling. We put together a lineup aimed at audiences from various fields—voice acting, idols, tokusatsu, manga, anime, and more.”>In the second match, a staggered-entry battle featured popular voice actress Sumire Uesaka and former Morning Musume member Mari Yaguchi. In the third match, costumed heroes and villains from the sentai genre appeared as seconds. The “outward-facing” challenge Koda described clearly went beyond the boundaries of pro wrestling.>That said, it’s not so easy to attract fans from outside the wrestling world. Even so, Koda noted that simply being announced for the Ryogoku event led to a noticeable boost in advance ticket sales for some participants.
>>20162481>The ability to experiment in this open, flexible way is also part of what defines Tokyo Joshi.>“Looking back over the past year, all the venues we regularly run have been drawing stable crowds. In that sense, our foundation has become solid. However, our challenge is attendance at venues like Korakuen Hall and larger. To address that, we feel we need to deliver our appeal more to ‘the outside.’ The question is what ‘outside’ means—whether it’s outside Tokyo Joshi within the women’s wrestling industry, or outside pro wrestling altogether, meaning people who follow other industries. We’re trying to identify where the ‘red oceans’ and ‘blue oceans’ are, and for this event, we turned our attention to areas we hadn’t focused on before.”>In business and marketing terminology, a “red ocean” refers to a market crowded with many competing companies, while a “blue ocean” refers to a market with little to no competition. This Ryogoku event was, in Representative Koda’s view, more “outward-looking” than ever before, but at the same time, even when seen within the “red ocean” of the pro wrestling world, it was a bold and adventurous move compared to Tokyo Joshi’s usual approach.>The tag team champions who won the titles in the semi-main event, The IInspiration, are former WWE wrestlers. Spark Rush (Sareee & Takumi Iroha), who have been active across multiple promotions in the women’s wrestling scene recently, also took part. This marked the first time Tokyo Joshi had interacted with Marvelous, the promotion Takumi Iroha belongs to. In addition, MIRAI—who originated from Tokyo Joshi and has since moved between various promotions, improving her level as a wrestler—was also present. Alongside names like KONOSUKE TAKESHITA and Andreza Giant Panda, an exceptionally diverse group of performers gathered, as if drawn by Tokyo Joshi’s magnetic pull.
>>20162483>Precisely because of this, the Princess of Princess Championship match between two homegrown wrestlers in the main event carried even greater significance. Miu Watanabe, who has led the promotion’s top scene since winning the title at this same venue two years ago, was in her second reign and known for her remarkable consistency. Her challenger, Yuki Arai, had been balancing her wrestling career with her role in the highly popular idol group SKE48, but graduated from the group last spring. It has now been exactly one year since she became a full-time professional wrestler.>“When you have people from various genres appearing, and wrestlers from different promotions participating, the more variety there is, the more important and weighty the main event title match becomes. That’s why we see this main event as having a level of significance unlike any before. You could also say that it’s precisely because we can have a match like Miu Watanabe vs. Yuki Arai that such a diverse lineup was possible.”>After a razor-thin contest, Arai emerged victorious. Although she had previously won tag team and international titles, she finally reached the very top championship. Achieving the promotion’s highest title within five years of her debut may not be extraordinarily fast by women’s wrestling standards, but for Arai—who had been in the spotlight since her debut—it was deeply meaningful. Representative Koda, who has closely observed Yuki Arai’s journey as a wrestler, also felt a different kind of emotional investment compared to when a lifelong Tokyo Joshi roster member wins the title.>“As she herself has said, transitioning from a dual career to focusing solely on pro wrestling, she thought she’d be able to do many new things and that everything she couldn’t do before would fall into place—but that wasn’t necessarily the case. The difficulties of committing to wrestling alone began to show, and things didn’t always go smoothly.
Koda in, bludMy manager
>>20162489>In fact, she challenged for the Princess of Princess title last summer and failed to win (July 27, 2025, Ota Ward Gymnasium, with Mizuki as the champion at the time). I think there were many internal struggles, and she overcame them to reach Ryogoku.”>The result of Yuki Arai becoming a champion with a slightly different style from those before her represents growth for Tokyo Joshi. But in terms of evolution, that was already evident from the lineup of this Ryogoku main event. The previous two main events at Ryogoku were both Princess of Princess Championship matches—four years ago it was Miyu Yamashita vs. Shoko Nakajima, and two years ago it was Yamashita vs. Miu Watanabe. In both cases, Yamashita was the champion. In other words, Ryogoku—the promotion’s biggest stage—had always been entrusted to Yamashita, the symbol of strength and the face of the company.>Over its 13-year history, Tokyo Joshi has produced many unique and colorful wrestlers, but there had been a sense of reliance on Yamashita up to this point. If they have succeeded in breaking away from that with this third Ryogoku event, that alone marks significant growth. Representative Koda, noting not only the past two Ryogoku shows but also the March 2023 Ariake Coliseum event as a similarly major show, shared his perspective:>“Not just the two Ryogoku events, but Ariake as well had Yuka Sakazaki vs. Mizuki in the main event. Ryogoku and Ariake were centered around what you might call the first generation… Mizuki isn’t technically first generation, but in terms of perception, she belongs to that era. This time at Ryogoku, the show was closed by two completely different wrestlers compared to the past three major events. Some wrestlers don’t like being grouped by generation, but if I may say so, this time it was a non–first-generation pair headlining. In that sense, MIRAI and Suzume, who appeared before the semi-main, also fit that description.”
>>20162493>Since its founding, Tokyo Joshi has largely avoided excessive collaboration with other promotions, instead walking an independent path. Representative Koda has been particular about the promotion’s “branding” and has focused on establishing it. While he doesn’t loudly proclaim it, he clearly feels a sense of progress.>“It’s been step by step. We haven’t had an explosive breakthrough, but I’m confident we’ve been moving forward without losing our way. Not just within the framework of women’s pro wrestling, but even within the broader wrestling world, we’ve developed a distinct identity or worldview.”>That confidence in the world they’ve built was reflected in the decision to headline with Watanabe vs. Arai. And beyond that, there was another match on this Ryogoku card that they quietly had strong confidence in as well.>“Even with Sareee—who is currently taking the women’s pro wrestling world by storm—appearing on our show, we were confident that Tokyo Joshi’s unique identity wouldn’t be shaken. That’s why we invited her. I think people found it interesting to see what would happen when someone like Sareee stepped into our ring at this moment. So it’s not that we reject everything from the outside. The order is important: first, we protect our branding and our worldview. As long as we maintain that, we don’t deny taking on new challenges.”>There has been no wavering in Representative Koda’s stance, which he has consistently expressed in past interviews. Moreover, even when prioritizing their own identity, there is no sense of inferiority toward other promotions. Before long, many wrestlers who originated from Tokyo Joshi have become prominent across the women’s wrestling scene—MIRAI, Mina Shirakawa, Maki Itoh, and even Unagi Sayaka all started here. Koda himself isn’t boasting when he says, “The Tokyo Joshi DNA is present in many places”—he’s genuinely surprised by it.
>>20162500>“It’s not that we have bad relationships with other promotions or refuse to interact with them. But when we think about our own branding, we believe exchanges shouldn’t be done carelessly. At the same time, if a wrestler wants it and there’s a need, I believe we can have cooperative relationships.”>Spring is the season of new beginnings. With the crowning of new champion Yuki Arai, Tokyo Joshi has entered a new phase. In Tokyo, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the promotion held its third Ryogoku event—and in doing so, further strengthened its brand.
