TKO is making a lot of requests for the build to this Mania. They raised ticket prices and are now trying to pretend that has nothing to do with slower ticket sales, so they are telling WWE to put certain people on tv.Cody was already set for main event but Punk Roman was decided because of Street Fighter.TKO wants more celeb appearances to 'promote' WWE decided to just keep using Jelly and Speed to placate them since they trust those two to perform and not go into business or disrespect the business.TKO wants HHH to be on tv more as the face of the company, and wanted him to be the 'Dana' in this faceoff. They also wanted Steph on, which was last minute, originally she waa just supposed to greet the crowd at the beginning and talk about MSG. Both WWE and TKO like Danhausen and there is debate on the blimp for Mania. HHH said 'just get a real fucking blimp' but there are concerns about fireworks, etc and the blimp being shot down or lit ablaze so they might use a mini blimp for comedice effect, if anything.

WWE's strong branding make it much easier to recognize and track everything while in AEW everything and everyone looks the same. I can't even ironically enjoy the console wars because I literally don't know what's going on in AEW. Jellyroll and Speed were completely dedicated and went beyond what was asked of them and took all bumps decided plus even talked with their opponents and figured out the best way to take the bumps for maximum effect. Jelly talked with Theory about a chokeslam spot, Speed talked to Bron, etc. So WWE is being forced to include celebs but chose to rely on those two as they trust them and both are willing to get beat up on screen. Jelly insisted he lose his first match so WWE trusts him to pay it forward in the Wilson storyline and Speed himself moved the Danhausen storyline forward and the plan is to actually have Danhausen take over his stream at one time. The other celeb that WWE are always open to work with is MGK for his dedication for the Rock Cena build, taking the bump for KO and his appearance during a Paul match. The roster appreciating the celeb goes a long way. WWE stars often appear on Fallon and Kimmel for the majority of Late Night because they are both fans of wrestling and respect it.
Marks complaining about this don't understand the first thing about business. Triple H is the last remnant of the Attitude Era. He's a HUGE star. When he involves himself an an angle, he's giving it his seal of approval, which boosts its credibility and relevance to a massive degree. Oba and Brock are honored by this, yet the marks will cry for them.
