i think this match was great but it irks the fuck out of me that it was not a no DQ match
they were outside of the ring doing whatever the fuck for way too long
roman smashed the stairs on punk's head and the ref saw it and did nothing
the ref pretty clearly saw punk's low blow and again didn't do anything

the WHC's problem imo is not short reigns or injures but rather a few goober jabronies ruining the linage.
the inaugural tournament final was seth vs AJ, ok perfect two clear world title level guys. seth wins and his reign lasts for almost a year, drew wins it, great, another one. then priest cashes in, first strike.
gooner wins it, probably the lowest level guy that it'd still be acceptable to hold it, but he loses it to yeet in humiliating fashion. humiliating the champion humiliates the belt. he wins it back, but the damage is done, before we go on a pretty good streak of punk-seth-punk-roman.
the WWE title has some stinkers in there but for every big e or jinder, there's two hogans or cenas.
the more recent lineage means the duds stand out and are in more recent memory.
