Shouldn't they have made a bigger deal about his quest to main event wrestlemania? It was established out of kayfabe for a long time but Paul Heyman just randomly announced their match at 41 was the main event with no build up after Punk had lost the chance to challenge for either title. Then this year it was the bigger Sunday main event which actually would have main evented in a previous era, and they didn't mention it or utilise it at all.

Punk/Seth was the match and for some reason they had Seth bash Roman in the Rumble to know have him interject himself. But that being said, the Triple Threat was great and all had a reason to be together.

>>20297501In the run up to 41 have Punk talk about how he needs to main event wrestlemania this year as he missed the last one to injury and doesn't know how many more chances he will get. But he gets eliminated in the rumble and the chamber (they pretty much did this part). As I recall Roman inserted himself into Punk and Seth's feud when he interfered in a cage match. Instead of that, have a brawl segment with all of them where Punk dramatically chooses to attack Roman when he had little reason to and maybe points at the sign. Then Punk the next week explains why saying that he knows Roman and Seth's star power and he thought his last chance to main event was forcing a triple threat match by attacking Roman as well as Seth. Adam Pearce argues with Punk saying he can't just make the matches himself or choose who goes on last. But the three of them end up brawling out of control so much that Adam in frustration gives them the match at mania, and maybe at the contract signing Heyman can announce that it's confirmed it will go on last, in a similar way to how he did. Then in the run up to this year's mania, have Punk say he kind of wormed his way into the main event last year and he's not ashamed of how he did it but also not proud, and this year he wants to walk in the undisputable main event and have the honor of going in as world champion. They could say on commentary that the chamber is confirmed as the last title match before mania so if Punk wins then he will go into mania as champion, putting more stakes on the match with Balor.>>20297513People talked about it with Punk when he was gone and it was part of his lore and 'what if'. It's rare you get a strong real life storyline like that and you may as well play on it twice if there was any asterisk on the resolution after the first time. It shouldn't have been as big of a thing the second time but they could have still leveraged it. After that I'd shut up about it or maybe say he wants to actually win
