Does a good show negate a terrible build to said show? If WCW New Blood Rising was a WM XIX tier show, would the abysmal build for it be forgiven?

For the most part yes. WM X-Seven is the biggest example. That show was a lot of randomly thrown together matches with zero build. One of the most famous and revered matches in Mania history is Rock vs Austin at that event but it had a terrible build to it (that was covered up by My Way)

The build wasn't that bad? Yea the Pat stuff was unnecessary. Otherwise it was about the same build as every other year. The midcard matches were arguably built up better this year than they have the past few.
