I liked Honda vs Kikuta but it started off a lot slower than I was expecting which hurt it for me some. That said the Carnival this year has produced a lot of great matches so I can't complain. Whatever AJPW had to do to figure things out has been starting to pay off even if they still got some things to iron out too.

Far as I know Shiozaki hasn't left Havoc despite not repping them in his outfit in any way right now. He just tends not to start up Havoc chants or anything like Ashino, Odyssey, or Xyon.

I was recommended to ask here but how do I use my active WU subscription to pull videos for personal storage? I usually watch live then have a copy in my wrestling drive so I can pull up old shows in a blink.

What I do is look for a full upload of the show on a site that yt-dlp DOES grab from, VK tends to be the most consistent. You are at the mercy of uploaders that way, but webms just look so much better from a direct source rather than a screen recording. You probably could get screen recordings to be as good, but even if you did, computer performance and all, you'd still have to manually record every spot you wanted which is a LOT of work. (Believe me, I used to record ~100 webms a week. It's not fun.)

I don't know if --cookies-from-browser will help me at all but I'm trying to use Brave as the main way to view WU and for some reason if I enter that, I always get an immediate error that it wasn't able to retrieve cookies from that browser.

VK is just a re-compression of an already compressed format, I'm trying to keep the quality as close to source as possible. Also, VK seems to offer 1080p by doing nearest neighbor upscale on a 720p source and you can see it quite painfully.

I'd imagine it would. Are you closing Brave before you run it? That caused issues for me before. Even if Brave is how you normally view WU, try logging in to Firefox or whatever and then closing the browser and using those cookies.
You may be right about the VK stuff, you clearly know more than me on the subject. I know that for my purposes (4MB webms at 540p) whatever you end up with after ripping a VK video is plenty.

I personally used to make webms for this site too but even with the start of HEVC support 4mb is just too fucking awful for me to deal with, on top of nonstop captcha shit. Even just going 50% higher to 6mb will allow for less block artifacts and more motion but hiroshimoot refuses to budge. Your patience is a virtue.

I think I've worked out most of the kinks by now, but I won't pretend all of my webms are perfect. Going above 20 seconds, especially with a well-lit venue or a lot of camera movement, is a huge gamble. Going back and looking at my first webms that I screen recorded and made for the 3MB limit, it's fucking insane that I got a following at all on here. Goes to show that there are people on here that really just want to talk about wrestling.

Webm for retards,Handbrake, and Vidcoder all just different GUI wrappers (frontends) for ffmpeg. They all have their pros and cons, I use Vidcoder for its ease of use but it has no preview for crop dimensions unlike the others, and no unique app instances so if it's in the middle of a long render you can pause it but can't switch to work on a smaller file.

I had low expectations for this match because I didn't like Oddyssey's match with Rei Saito that much but this one was surprisingly decent enough. It's been obvious Xyon and Oddssey has struggled a bit in the Carnival since it's their first time and they tend to work better together than separate as singles wrestlers.
