Are you gay and you like watching sweaty half-naked men rubbing themselves to each other? You like watching sweaty half-naked sluts rubbing themselves to each other? Is it a metaphor for life that inspires you to never give up and to fight to achieve your goals?Do you find it funny to watch 2 (or more) mediocre imbeciles pretending to fight and fake hitting each other like the clowns they are?Are you fascinated by all the glamour surrounding the ring, and the last thing that interests you is the fake crap that goes on inside?Do you truly experience everything that happens inside the ring with your whole being, and does that give meaning to your life?Is there nothing else to watch on TV at that time?WHY?
I don't care about the matches, I only watch the big matches like WrestleMania and SummerSlam. I mainly watch wrestling for the storylines.

I only watch for the matches. I like to see people give each other CTE.
>>20365317lol who brings their kid to a softcore porn wrestling match?

>>20365317I liked the character and wanted to see their journey. Guys like cody, la knight, gable, Gunther and El grande were all interesting and entertaining but I grew to just get bored waiting for them to get a match and when you look at what tko is doing to wwe I just gave up on all of it. It's not the wins and loses, it's the guy for me.
>>20365317Indie wrestling is so fricking weird. Wrestling in general is hokey enough as it is, I really need the whole production to sell me on the illusion, big crowds, loud fans, lights, commentary, etc. It's still really weird, it looks dumb as shit when you watch a fan recording of a WWE show for instance without any commentary. But when you strip it all away, and perform the same sort of hokey bullshit but without all the bells and whistles, you end up with a bunch of jobbers just dancing around doing weird shit on a plank of wood in front of 50 or so people who inexplicably paid to see it.It's the main reason I could never get into indie. Wrestling is just too dumb in general, so when you have people acting out serious storylines where one person betrayed the other and it's in some way life changing, or supernatural stuff, or joke gimmick stuff like this, I find I really need the 20k fans in attendance and expensive production to convince me that it makes any sort of sense. Of all the indie I've tried to watch, I most enjoyed Lucha Underground, I found its narrative style and production give it an underground fight club sort of feel which justifies the action without needing a big crowd. I liked NJPW back around that time too, they have their bingo hall and highschool gym shows which read as smaller qualifier contests and then their big shows two or three times a year, it comes across more sports like and legitimate.

Listen, okay? The Road to Wrestlemania in ‘94, from Bret having a falling out with his brother and getting injured, to going on the Royal Rumble anyway, to winning the Rumble (pretend for a second Luger doesn’t exist), to going on Wrestlemania and losing to his brother and getting injured AGAIN, to taking on Yokozuna and pinning him when the giant was defeated by his own vanity, THAT was the peak of dramatic storytelling for me, okay?
>>20365421Same. All major sports are rigged with a pre-determined outcomes. Pro wrestling is the most fun one to watch.

>When I was a kid I got interested in characters, when i was a teenager I was interested in crowd chants and cool moves. When I became an adult I turned it off and stayed on pw for banter but I will leave when I'll find a better site or board.
>>20365317Every once in a while there's match that I can get more invested in than any movie or tv show I've ever seen, where I gasp at a kick out or yell FUCK if my guy/girl lost.
the only female wrestling I watch
>>20365317I'm pretty trashy so I liked trash TV. Loved wrestling during the 90s and 00s. But haven't watched since the libtards took over and turned it into artsy theater kid shit.
>>20365317I watch for the theatrics, the stories, and the violence. I'm obsessed with kayfabe as a concept, it's almost absurdist philosophy, and it makes wrestling and life more interesting.
Its a tradition for me its not just a hobby
