>A few days ago, I met up with Magnum TOKYO (Mr. Kuroki) for the first time in a while.

>We reached a reconciliation after a series of disturbances, and since Mr. Kuroki expressed that he wanted to meet with me, he came all the way to Kobe.

>We had an intense discussion about our feelings toward DRAGONGATE, the future of the pro wrestling world, and more, interspersed with nostalgic reminiscences along the way.

>The conversation didn't wrap up in just one day, so the next day YAMATO joined us, and we talked again.

>During that, I heard Mr. Kuroki's thoughts on the former affiliated players and staff members who had left the group.

>"History is also an asset"

>Without being bound by the past, opening a large door to players who have departed, retired players, and staff, and if we can reunite in the DRAGONGATE world, that too might become another dreamy page in our history.

>I believe that doing everything we can toward that goal is the resolve of a GM.

>We kindly ask for your continued support of DRAGONGATE going forward!

>Seeing Naito now, I realize how amazing Muto was.
He was still doing the standing Frankensteiner right up until the very end.
>OZAWA did a great job keeping the energy up even when Naito was messing up, and he properly wrapped things up on the mic.I think even Kiyomiya would have a hard time taking care of Naito right now since he's not even doing his moves properly.
>It's awful that Naito is still trying to replicate his prime performances even though it's obvious to everyone that he's declined. I'm not saying he should imitate Mutoh, who ultimately finished him off, but there's something to be learned from Mutoh's approach of drastically reducing his repertoire and focusing on moves he can still perform even at over 60 years old.
>It's impossible to make Naito look good in his current state, so I think OZAWA was right to provide minimal assistance and create his own highlights. Well, to begin with, letting Naito do this in his current state was the wrong decision.
>Naito is having a tough time... Tanahashi was moving better at the Dome.

Surprised to not read any comment on Shane Haste winning
>>
I thought Naito/Ozawa was fine? If he’d just drop that rope walk DDT, which he fucks up 90 percent of the time, I don’t think their would be as much of a fuss.

I dont know if stem cells can fix eyesight.

My only thoughts are the same as they were in 2024. He needs to rework his routine and cut out the shit he REALLY can't do anymore and work a more appropriate style, rather than working the same style but as if he's only going through minor pains.
>>
>>20384935
Funny enough Shane beat Naito during Naito's last time on top before his health majorly declined a few years ago in a G1 that Naito won. Even though he's been a low profile tag guy for a while with very few singles matches he's gotten two singles wins over notable names in Japan in recent times. Doubt people want to see Naito in the main event now though.

>[AJPW CC] Anzai Yuma eliminated after competing through a right leg injury: “I don’t even have the right to say I’m frustrated”

>In an official A Block match in All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Champion Carnival 2026 at the May 3 Tochigi show, Anzai Yuma (26) lost to Kumaarashi (35), confirming his elimination from the league.

>Anzai had five points heading into the day. He entered a match where he could not afford to lose in order to advance to the tournament to determine the winner, but in the opening stages, as soon as he engaged Kumaarashi in a test of strength, he dropped to his right knee with an expression of agony.

>Anzai somehow returned elbows, but when Kumaarashi stomped on his right leg, he screamed and writhed around on the mat. Sensing something was wrong, the referee stopped the match there, and at 1:54, Kumaarashi was declared the winner and the match ended. Combined with the results of the other A Block matches that day, Anzai’s elimination from the Champion Carnival was confirmed in an all-too-abrupt, shocking ending.

>After the match, Anzai appeared backstage leaning on the shoulders of his seconds, with tape wrapped around his right leg. In fact, he had injured his right leg in his match against TARUOS at the Fukushima show the previous day on May 2, and had competed despite the injury.

>Anzai made his frustration clear: “With this, my Champion Carnival is over. I’m frustrated, but I don’t think I even have the right to say I’m frustrated. Even though people expected me to win and had me No. 1 in the winner predictions, truly... I am truly sorry to the people who supported me and expected something from me.” He is also expected to miss the final day at Korakuen on the 5th. One of the tournament favorites disappeared in dramatic fashion.

>In the other official A Block matches that day, Shiozaki Go defeated Mashimo Kengo to reach six points. TARUOS defeated Odyssey, also reaching six points.

>A new venue is being created to replace Shinjuku FACE, which will close at the end of September! Pro wrestling will be held for the first time at Kinshicho Marui Event Hall, just a 1-minute walk from the station!
>Shinjuku FACE, one of the sacred grounds for professional wrestling events, has announced its closure at the end of September this year, and the wrestling world is scrambling to find a new venue.
>In the midst of this, the Sumida Industrial Hall Event Hall on the 8th floor of Marui, located a one-minute walk from Kinshicho Station, has become available for professional wrestling events.
>Compared to Korakuen Hall (Suidobashi), the distance to Shinjuku (14 minutes) and Kinshicho (12 minutes) on the Sobu Line is not much different, and the capacity is a maximum of 800 people, but on this day, it was sold out with 415 people with the ring set up. However, it seemed that there was still room to add more seats.
>Although it does not have a permanent ring or lighting equipment like Shinjuku FACE, the price is cheaper than FACE, making it a perfectly good option.
(the rest of the article is about marigold)
>>
>>20389418
There was some controversy the other day when Marigold announced the Marui was requiring sign up for their credit card to reserve space for support banners but they cleared that up at the show today, it was just poor wording. Rossy said he was particularly happy about the large area they made available in the lobby for merch/photos.
>>
>>20389418
>only has floor seats
this alone makes it a terrible replacement for face. the thing that makes face such a good venue is that you have a good view no matter where you sit

>[NOAH] Naito Tetsuya makes a surprise appearance in the first match at Shinjuku FACE: “I’d like to experience the current Kiyomiya too”

>Naito Tetsuya (43) of Los Tranquilos de Japon (LTJ) “descended” upon the first match of NOAH’s May 3 Shinjuku FACE show.

>At the Ryogoku show on the 2nd, he faced OZAWA in their first singles match and lost. The match card for this day was announced on the day of the show, and when the first match was announced as GHC Tag Champions Naito & BUSHI vs Kenoh & Yoshiki Inamura, a loud stir arose from the venue.

>Naito engaged in a fierce physical battle, including hitting Inamura with three consecutive elbows. He went to finish him with Destino, but Kenoh stopped him. Both teams traded momentum back and forth, but just as Inamura had Naito lifted up on his shoulders, the 10-minute time limit was reached and the match ended. Inamura offered him a handshake in the ring, but Naito refused, spat in his face, and left.

>Backstage, he wore a cool expression and said, “I wrestled here at Shinjuku FACE for the first time in several years. This atmosphere I’m experiencing for the first time in a while is nice. The fans in the venue are close, and it must be a very easy venue to watch from. I’m glad I was able to wrestle in a venue like that today.”

>It was his first encounter with Inamura, and he gave him high marks: “Since coming to Pro Wrestling NOAH, I’ve faced OZAWA several times, and I’ve fully experienced his pro wrestling. And today it was Inamura. It was only a little, but I had a lot of fun.”

>On top of that, he offered his view: “The current Pro Wrestling NOAH centers on OZAWA, Inamura, and Kiyomiya Kaito, right? That’s just how I personally understand it,” and called out to the “Prince of Frenzy”: “I’d like to experience Kiyomiya too. I’d like to experience the current Kiyomiya with my body to the fullest. That’s what today’s Shinjuku FACE show made me think.”

That's a bad translation from Grok. He's saying he regretfully withdrew (from the Carnival) not that he regretfully retired. This is ChatGPT's:

[AJPW CC] Anzai Yuma may have injured a ligament or tendon in his right leg. On his bitter withdrawal: “I don’t want to accept it, but...”

Anzai Yuma (26), who was eliminated from All Japan Pro Wrestling’s spring festival, Champion Carnival 2026, due to a right leg injury, spoke candidly about his bitter feelings.

Anzai, who had entered A Block, injured his right leg in his official match against TARUOS at the Fukushima show on the 2nd. He competed through the injury in his official match against Kumaarashi at the Tochigi show on the 3rd, but lost by referee stoppage in just 1:54.

With that loss, Anzai’s elimination from the block was confirmed. The promotion then announced that Anzai would be absent from the Korakuen show on the 5th, meaning his final A Block match against Saito Rei would also be a forfeit loss. His campaign came to a bitter end with two wins, three losses, one draw, one forfeit loss, and five points.

Looking back on the moment he was injured, Anzai explained, “When I fell to the floor, before I knew it, my leg wouldn’t move, or rather, I couldn’t put strength into it.” He revealed that he forced himself to compete against Kumaarashi even in that condition because, “It was just that one leg wouldn’t move, so I thought the possibility of winning, the possibility of fighting, wasn’t zero percent.” He dropped his shoulders and said, “Of course, I got in the ring today intending to win too, but from the moment I woke up this morning, I couldn’t put that foot down, and I couldn’t step into it with any strength. It was a referee stoppage, so there’s nothing I can do about it.”
>>
>>20396426
Because it is the Golden Week holiday period, he has not yet been examined at a hospital. According to a trainer’s diagnosis, there is a possibility that he has injured a ligament or tendon. Anzai apologized, saying, “More than anything, I’m sorry to everyone who supported me, everyone who expected something from me, and Kumaarashi-san, who fought me.” Outside the ring as well, he had been drawing increased attention after participating in Season 4 of Prime Video’s romance reality show The Bachelorette Japan, so the timing made it all the more painful. “I had been doing all kinds of things thinking this spring would be mine. I don’t want to accept it, but I have no choice except to accept it, and I have no choice except to do what I can,” he said, looking dejected.

Due to Anzai’s absence, last year’s winner Rei also finished his campaign with three wins, three losses, one forfeit win, and eight points. With the unexpected disappearance of one of the tournament favorites, the chaotic A Block race has become even harder to predict.

This from 5ch uncs, so it's a rumor. Not keeping up with AJPW so don't know how is Shiozaki performance, but if that was true (CF check-up made Higuchi retire) it would make sense...
>I hear that Noah's medical checks are pretty strict these days, and I think there's a possibility that Shiozaki might have failed one of them, been advised to retire, and ended up leaving the company. He did have a cervical spine injury in the past that caused him to miss some matches.
>If that's true, it's incredibly sad that Shiozaki, Misawa's last partner, would have to make such a decision. Maybe he has no other way to make money besides pro wrestling, but even so, it's understandable that Marufuji and Sugiura are angry.
>If the medical checks are strict, Naito won't be able to advance.

>>20422352
The fact that Saito and Anzai are already back from their injuries is sus. I don't want to think bad but most of time doing that I end up being right.
>>20422597
Depend by his contract. Maybe NOAh talents who are signed are treated differently than freelancers. At the end it's up to the freelance to take care of themselves and not the promotion they work time to time.
(and i'm just assuming, since i don't know what kind of contract they have in CF)

On one hand as much as I'm enjoying AJPW I wouldn't really put it past them either to let guys work hurt and be huge risks in the ring. On the other hand I doubt an injury is the sole reason Shiozaki left since NOAH lets guys like Marufuji and Naito wrestle who look a lot worse than Shiozaki.

What’re you talking about?!
Why is there barbed wire at the clubroom entrance?
This isn’t an exploding barbed-wire deathmatch!

[FMW / Onita fan]
No, this is fine.
It’s so you can understand the concept.

[Takada Nobuhiko fan / UWF International faction]
Idiot.
What’s this about Onita?
That stuff is heresy.

[Takada Nobuhiko fan]
It’s because of FMW
that pro wrestling turned into a spectacle!

[FMW / Onita fan]
What part of FMW is a spectacle?!
Right now, the one with the most mainstream appeal
is FMW!

[Takada Nobuhiko fan]
The only reason the mainstream media
is covering FMW
is because it’s entertainment-style, isn’t it?!

[Takada Nobuhiko fan]
UWF International is working hard
to get pro wrestling recognized by the public

Heh.
