The message suggested that negative feedback online shouldn’t carry much weight, even when criticism spreads widely among fans:
>“Even when things are good, you know, there's going to be negatives, whether it's good or bad, you know. But the idea of not, you know, you don't — you know, don't listen to it. It's a vocal minority, and it's like, you know, there is a vocal minority there, you know.”

Leadership reinforced their point by reading selected examples of negative tweets, specifically choosing the most extreme takes to illustrate their argument that social media commentary is unreliable:
>“Like what he did was, you know, is he read tweets from, like, you know, you can go in — I can go in and get the dumbest tweets possible that come out and say the stupidest things possible and go read it to people and go, you know, hey, see, look how stupid this is.”

Some of those tweets included past fan skepticism about major stars, including Roman Reigns and CM Punk:
>“Like, you know, he was reading tweets about, ‘oh, Roman Reigns will never make it.’ Well, see how dumb they are? Or ‘you can't hire CM Punk, you know.’”

>“There are very smart people, you know, extremely smart people. There are very dumb people, you know, and it's up to you to learn the difference… but to dismiss it all, you know, or tell employees to dismiss it all, you know, I think that that was kind of, you know, the way that that was done.”
>>
>“That's very manipulative, you know, I guess, to me, you know. Because there's always stuff… there's always stuff to learn from the fan base, you know, no matter what.”

>“The complaints about WrestleMania with all the commercials — I mean, you know, that's a valid complaint no matter what. And it's never really been addressed still from anyone, you know.”

>“That's not an invalid complaint by, you know, a vocal minority. I think that that was pretty much a complaint across the board.”

>“You can dismiss all complaints, you know… but if you dismiss all complaints from smart people, you know, then you're — I don't think you're doing yourself or your company a very good service.”

HHH was a B+ talent that manipulated his way into an S-tier career. I'd listen to his advice on stuff like this, he knows what he's talking about.
>>
>>20371839
Yup, it's still a cult tho
>>
>>20371633
That’s why Dave runs the print newsletter and Bryan runs the radio shows
>>
This has been WWE's policy forever, and WWE has always actively punished wrestlers for pandering to these types of fans
>>
>>20371633
Dave just uhh talks like your average American y'know umm
>>
>>20372836
>just consoom product and get excited for next product
>>
Based Dave
>>
>>20371633
ok, how i know?

Fans WERE right about Roman.
It took faking cancer, an entire gimmick change, 100% control of fan interaction due to a global pandemic, Paul heyman, and his own stable made up of his family to finally get somewhat over. And even then, no one started caring until Sami.

Indians will wash out the truth, but there really has never been anyone propped up and carried and protected like Roman in wrestling history. The man is absolute garbage but WWE will bend over backwards to try to make Roman work even if they have to kill the entire roster to do it.
>>
>>20371633
That's a fairly small amount of "you knows" for an average- sized person, I'd say?
>>

>>20371606
As opposed to them telling the talent to heed the opinions of smelly smarks
>>
>>20371606
third of the marks online are talent
>>
On the one hand, its understandable. Fans online are very vocal and critical and offer a whole range of opinions, while fans there live give better reactions, more truthful as they are actually there and paid money. On the other hand, wrestling lets you get real time feedback over your product so you can make adjustments.
>>
>>20371633
If you replaced you know with ye see then this would be a standard hhh promo
>>
>>20371606
this is the type of behavior that happens before mass firings, this is someone trying to justify all their bad decisions and poor performance by cherry picking certain criticism they can explain away
when you need to resort to humiliation rituals like this it's a sign things are coming to an end, nothing ever positive comes from things like this, the overlords wants increased profits and if they can't be produced they will be cut and sold off
>>
>>20371633
Based and youknowpilled
>>
I always get a chuckle out of drones sperging out about big scoops Dave
>>
>>20374945
Roman as a face was over twice. In the Sheamus feud and in the Corbin feud.
>>
>>20371633
Why does Meltzer charge 14.99 (plus tip) when he is already under the assumption that we know everything he is going to talk about?
>>
Mark still isn't watching, no matter how much Netflix inflates their numbers.
>>
>guys just ignore social media comments
>im not going to do press conferences or appear on post show panels anymore though
