This kind of homogenized product sucks ass on TV (and people have shorter attention spans, I think almost everyone is just doomscrolling anymore) but it's ok live. And even something like the meltzer stars inflation is kind of illustrative: there has been a rampup of skill level and definitely athleticism but how much has it made things better? You don't need to be watching the best guys (or anything even close) to have fun at a wrestling show.

It had that Nitro feel where it'll be just the most random match at the start of the show and then go into stories and everything else. Now, it pretty much follows the WWE formula but with longer matches and less commercials/filler. WWE, I mean, it's just falling completely like the UFC did. Where you can't even name a fighter anymore and it's off the strength of just the brand but even that is diminishing. Vince needed to drop off creative sooner than he did, desu. He needed to find someone he really wanted if he had no faith in Stephanie anymore. I don't think Shane was it since he already picked Steph over her, so he would need a writer or someone with a decent enough vision, while forcing Stephanie and HHH off to do background shit or just become the promoter/face of the company as Vince stepped aside.
