The reality is that even without the murders he wouldn't deserve it. He was never that good. You can't have the technical guy who looks small enough to get beat up by the crowd and has the charisma of a dog's asshole and then have someone like Kurt Angle in the same promotion. Angle, Lesnar, they make Benoit look ridiculous and always did. He was never great.
