I went as Al Jolson 2 years to back for Halloween each year. People told me it was a bad idea. Those years were 2008 and 2009. At one point I went to a party feel predominantly with black people and did not get my ass kicked. In fact they treated me like I was one of their own. So to all the news organizations and all the celebrities that say blackface is never appropriate. Fuck them. If it was never appropriate, I would have gotten beating the holy hell out of by all those black guys at that party
