In one 2002 Episode of Raw WWE was clearly experimenting with the ring. It was basically a trampoline. You can straight up hear it squeaking as the wrestlers move. This was good for the talent obviously. But WWE moved back to regular rings after this (probably because you could hear the ring squeaking)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-mRWQkIAd0
Might as well make the change now that wrestling just looks like kids goofing off.
But seriously go to 3:10 part of that video. You can see how ridiculous the trampoline ring is.
>>20447695That's crazy man. Crazy how you can not know about things for over 20 years.
>>20447695Trampoline hell in a cell with midgets doing foey vs taker matchFoley midget has a go pro so we can see him going thru the roof and into space
>>20447695you working me? I don't hear or a see a difference.
>>20448766you can hear the squeaking for surereminds me of when I watched tna in like 2015 one time and got a headache from the constant thuds
>>20448766Like I said here >>20447724Go to 3:10 part of the video the squeaking is so obvious. Also you can see the ring bouncing with every bump.
>>20447695JR trying really hard to get Stevie over lmao
>>20447724looks fairly stiff to me, there are adjustable tension cables under the ring to vary how bouncy it is, but it still looks like they're hitting the deck when they bump
Cornette already fixed the rings for them, the only problem left was the ropes which he tried to fix but they fucked it up by ordering the wrong cables. A bouncy ring leads to a fuckload of knee and ankle injuries due to the give fucking up your footing and your landing, it is also not good if you put a hand down and the ring moves then you sprain your wrist or even break it. It only assist for plain back bumps etc. which don't involve limbs. You also can't control bumps as well so may bounce and rotate onto another part of your body like your neck or shoulder, etc
