Darby isn't a complete shitter, but he's not worthy of main event status in a mainstream promotion. There are ways that a smaller wrestler, whose size naturally casts him as the underdog in most matches, can work while also coming across as a credible world champion contender. Danielson did this better than anyone, but Darby doesn't seem to understand that he needs to adjust his style. The entire roster looks weak when he's the guy holding the top prize.
Darby is the kind of guy who should lose the world title a week after winning it.

He had a great debut, dramatic feud with Cody, wasn't overexposed, had a big spot now and then, and immediately started getting random matches spammed seemingly weekly that were completely based around doing spotz for the sake of spotz over and over to the point I stopped caring.
