Who had the best philosphy when it comes to wrestling? I personally prefer Baba's.
New Japan was a million times better than All Japan for everyone except one gay jew who lived in san jose and all the retarded children who decided to take his opinion as gospel instead of watching both companies product for themselves

>>21345956Why not just say that without sounding like a /pol/tard miserable prick so we can have a meaningful conversation?
>>21345956you have never watched one full new japan show from 1990 to 2009
Arguably Inoki. The point of wrestling for many decades was to be a believable work. NJPW and strong style was going back to that ethos of making it look like a fight.
>>21345956I was pretty impressed with New Japan's Tokyo Dome show (Battle Satellite legit might be one of the most underrated shows of all time), but i need to watch some All Japan shows to make a proper judgement. Some kind soul uploaded loads of their TV shows (essentially their tours spliced into hour-long portions) on youtube so i might go for that.
>>21346040njpw 90s was goodo. inoki didnt book it.baba didnt book all of of 80s ajpw. they did things he didnt like.
>>21346045The people who were known for strong style when i was watching (Nakamura, Shibata, Suzuki and Ishii) didn't really interest me and instead I loved people like Okada, Tana, Naito and Kenny who aren't the strong style type and were big draws and company favorites at that time, which is why i always thought that they at some point decided to distance themselves albeit not completely from what Inoki had in mind. You can correct me if I am wrong.
>>21346158what inoki had in mind was a more theatrical and extravagant take of what the uwfi was doing, which is shoot style wrestling and mma transposed into a spectacular stage that didn't shy away from taking cues out of the american wrestling playbook. the most inokiist wrestlers that i can think of were yuji nagata and koji kanemoto. tana and naito, in my opinion, had more in common with chono and muta than those guys.
strong style is image and philosophy thing. not wrestling style.inokism was better in the 70 to 90s before it became the weird shit in the 00s.used to be wrestlers going over in diff style fights. and not faux mma shit.
Inoki never did those shoot kicks. lot of old njpw matches were pro wrestling style.and baba was considered the theratcial style guy.
>>21346234NJPW predated UWF by a decade. Baba's vision of pro wrestling lived on and thrived into the 2000's through NOAH while NJPW became a laughing a stock and collapsed because of Inoki's mma obsession.
>>21346314NJPW was always the freakshow promotion
>>21346340AJPW in the 70s and 80s was indistinguishable from American wrestling with fuck finishes and brawls.

>>21345966Baba wasn't a mark with a lot of money, so no
>>21345956but All Japan drew more tgan NJzpW in the 80s and 90s. Meltzer had no effect on Japanese ticket sales
>>21346045and it led to the shit fake fighting era we are in
