Grand Zen-Oh, the omni king and ruler of the omniverse has declared there will be a massive tournament to be held in his honor. A grand affair between several universes, each battling it out for the very right to exist. And at the forefront of this grand spectacle will be the Saiyans of Universe 7, who Grand Zen-Oh has grown fond of watching battle. Twenty eight years ago, the Saiyan race were annexed into the PTO as just another race, one of many sent to conquer other worlds. Now, the Saiyans are widely regarded as the strongest warrior race in the entire Seventh Universe, defenders of the PTO led by their strongest, the “Dragon of New Salda” General Karn and his family. You the players will (most often) control Karn. A man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to well over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the best hope for his universe's continued survival. No one warrior can hope to battle eight other universes' strongest fighters alone and hope to prevail, one man's power and skill won't be enough to overcome the looming threat of extermination. But this coming battle will be the ultimate test of how you've lived your life until now, the choices you made not only for yourself, but for the fate of your entire universe.Character sheets and other info: https://controlc.com/46ec566dhttps://pastebin.com/u/GrandDragonQMArchive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=Saiyan+Conqueror+QuestHelp fund quest art commissions and get exclusive side stories as well as artwork by joining the patreon for only $1/month at https://www.patreon.com/GrandDragonQMQuest rules are as follows(unless otherwise noted):>30 minute vote times>Pick ONLY ONE option when voting>Dice rolls are all best of three correctly-rolled dice>At ten minutes past your previous roll, and there are not yet enough rolls, you may roll an additional roll>Crits are 100 on a d100>99s or paired rolls may net you extra bonuses>Crit fails are a 1/100 with no passing rolls, or if two 1s are rolled regardless of the third>Write-ins are both allowed and encouraged, but OOC options will be ignored>If your goal is simply to troll, at least put in enough effort to make it funny>Have funSCQ will usually start on Saturdays at noon Eastern Standard Time, and run throughout the weekend. >>6283821Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:At the Zen Expo, the merged Ginyu Force faced Basil the Kicker for the first round. Thoroughly trouncing his opponent, even with the admittedly cheating powerup he was given. Next up was Karn vs Lavender, the poison-wielding youngest brother of the Trio de Danger, who despite getting his poison to work, couldn't beat Karn and was thoroughly defeated. And finally came Chaya vs Bergamo the Crusher, powering him up to max and defeating him without ever going full power. However, after the rules for the Tournament of Power were declared, a warrior from the 11th, Toppo, challenged Chaya as well. And as we rejoin Karn, the fierce battle has really heated up since she was pushed to Super Saiyan Blue.“Oh? I'm surprised he can keep up with Blue. Holding back as he is.” Freeza says as the fight continues, the two fighters moving as little more than blurs as the shock waves of their collisions blast out for over a minute. Sending debris from the stage in all directions, smashing several of the pillars before Chaya finally wins the exchange. Sending the larger man crashing down to the stage with a double hammerfist.“Let's see how you handle THIS!” she roars with a snarl, aura blazing as she throws her hands wide, gathering her power. But Toppo doesn't let her, raising a hand towards her and bracing it with the other as she joins her hands before her for a Final Flash.“Justice Flash!!” Toppo bellows, firing a barrage of blasts from his fingertips. But right as the attack's about to land, Chaya just VANISHES. Crossing the distance between them instantly with Instant Transmission, appearing just under his outstretched hand. With his arm still upraised, defenses down and giving her a wide-open shot. “Wha-?!”“FINAL FLAAAAAAASH!!” she roars, unleashing the powerful golden beam point-blank. The blast engulfing Toppo completely and chewing through the fighting ring. You sense his energy get swallowed up by the beam as he disappears inside that light.“That looked like an execution.” Beerus notes, a hint of something in his voice.“She certainly went overboard.” Whis adds, but you know it's not over yet. And sure enough when the light fades and smoke settles, you see the big man still standing. Clearly having gotten his guard up enough just before the impact. But he isn't unscathed, his uniform torn especially around his guarding arms. “Well well, looks like you can take a hit big guy.”Panting, Toppo drops his arms, only to notice the damage to his uniform. Eyes widening in shock or probably outrage.cont
>>6283823“To wear the uniform of a Pride Trooper is to wear the ideals of honor and righteousness! And when you sully this finery with evil, you sully all the Troopers, and the very Pride we fight for!” he declares, a furious note to his voice as you sense his power begin to skyrocket. No longer holding back, finally beginning to reveal his true strength. His aura blazes red and gold, almost like a Kaio-Ken'd Super Saiyan as he starts posing once more. “I'll administer the harshest judgment the Cosmos has ever seen!”“That's it, stop holding back!” Chaya declares, her own aura blazing up in response. “Come on, push me to my next form. Let me REALLY cut loose, and fight like I mean it!” Chaya responds, you immediately hearing the worried murmurs of the assembled deities.“She can grow STRONGER?”“That woman is a monster.”“What kind of battles has the Seventh been through to produce such a warrior?”“Goddess of Victory indeed. That one's dangerous.”“I can't believe she's pushing Toppo so far. What is with this Chaya?”“HRRRRRRRRR!!” Toppo bellows, aura blazing higher and higher. But Chaya doesn't relent, also powering up to match. The two not slowing down, their powers climbing higher and higher until-“And that's enough!” the Grand Priest calls, both fighters stopping immediately and turning to face him.“Whaaaa? But I want to see what happens!” Zen-Oh complains to the Grand Priest. Who seems completely unphased, addressing the ruler of all.“If we let them continue, one or both of them could end up dead, which would undercut the utility and excitement of the tournament itself.” he says apologetically to the Omni King. “Might we stick a pin in this, your majesty, and save it for the battle royal?”“Uhhhh.” Zen-Oh hesitates, looking uncertain.Well? Also the GP's a total party pooper.
>>6283824As much as you want to see how this fight plays out, you look down to Chaya, who immediately powers back down to her full base form without hesitation.“You're right, Grand Priest. We wouldn't want to finish one of the most exciting fights before the tournament even kicks off.” she says with a wink and thumbs up to Zen-Oh before turning back to Toppo, holding her fist out to him. “And I'll see you there. But you'd better not hold back like you were here, or I'll throw you out without a contest at full power.”“I will never fraternize with evil. And while I hate to even speak with you, you must know the truth.” Toppo says, turning his back and walking away, only to stop as he says “the truth”. Silence hangs for a second before he continues. “There is another warrior from the Eleventh Universe who's even stronger than I am, villain. My sworn ally, Jiren the Gray! If you can only fight me on an even playing field, you have no hope of defeating him.”With that he continues walking away, then leaping from the fighting arena back to his universe's platform.“Jiren, huh?” you mutter, Chaya turning and leaping back up with the rest of you. A thoughtful look on her face. Immediately you can tell she's thinking the same thing, wondering just how powerful this Jiren'll be.“Now that the fights are settled, I shall begin preparing the ring for the Tournament of Power in the Null Realm.” Grand Priest says, holding up a small orb of energy in his right palm. “I'm afraid construction will take some time, so I ask for your patience as we begin a... Necessary hiatus before the tournament. And this concludes today's events. Everyone, please meet back here for the tournament's official start on day three billion, one hundred thirty five million, five hundred thousand, six hundred three of the Royal Calendar. We'll kick things off promptly at 157 o'clock.”cont
>>6283896“Just a moment, please!” Chaya calls, Grand Priest turning to look questioningly at your daughter.“Yes, what is it Chaya?” he replies, a small, smug grin tugging at the very corner of his mouth.“Sorry I don't know your calendar, but when will the arena be done? I'm just itching to get started!” she replies, still clearly fired-up from her fight with Toppo.“It shall take five Tiks.” Grand Priest replies instantly, then seeing her confusion continues. “Or, converted into your Seventh Universe's standard time, approximately forty hours.”“Two days? Alright, I can wait two days.” Chaya replies with a grin as the deities murmur and chatter. Clearly surprised by the short timeframe they have to gather a team before the fates of eight universes will be decided.“Ohh? Forty hours to gather our team and ready ourselves for battle?” Freeza asks, chuckling. “Ohh hoo hoo ho hoo. Quite the challenge, you've laid down. Two days to gather a team, scouring your universes to find enough fighters ready to compete. I do feel sorry for them.”“Sorry?” Beerus asks him, whirling on Freeza. “The hell do you mean, sorry?”“Because, Lord Beerus, we already have enough ready and willing, capable fighters gathered on Karn's planet for two full teams, plus substitutions.” Freeza says with a menacing grin, voice loud enough to make sure the other deities hear his boasts. “While the others struggle to find enough capable warriors to compete in this grand game, our greatest struggle will be determining which of our ample fighters should participate. Is that not cause enough for celebration?”At his words you feel the other universes' glares on him, Freeza's tail twitching once the only sign he can feel them as well.“All right, dear friends, we'll see you all again when preparations are done. Good luck.” Grand Priest says, crossing his arms then swinging them out to his sides. And before you can react you find yourselves all back on Beerus' planet, no longer in Zen-Oh's realm. Seems he must have sent every set of deities back to their own universes.“Whis. What are our chances of actually winning this thing?” Beerus asks, turning to his advisor and companion.“From what I've seen, I believe that every universe in attendance will try and gang up on Chaya immediately.” he answers, much to Beerus' worry. But Chaya seems completely unphased, lacing her fingers behind her head.cont
>>6283898“Alright, we just need to pick which other seven fighters we'll be bringing into this tournament.” she says, only for Freeza to step forward.“SIX others. The rules specified no Destroyers, but said nothing about a Destroyer-in-training. I will be participating as well.”“Hell yeah.” you say, offering Freeza your hand. “Been a long time since we fought side-by-side, Lord Freeza. Just like old times.”“Old times? Well then, I hope you don't decide to collapse after one serious fight like old times.” he teases back, the two of you taking one another's forearms and sharing a nod.“Alright, enough dawdling. Get your asses moving, and have a team ready in forty hours. I'm leaving this up to you, Freeza.” Beerus says, meeting the former emperor's gaze. “Don't fail us, or everything's doomed.”“Don't worry yourself. This tournament's as good as won.” Freeza answers confidently, then turns to you. “Who should we visit and recruit first?”Well? What happened?” he asks you. “Everything alright?”“Don't worry, we won the expo.” you answer. “But we need to talk.”Then with a thought cross the spaces between you, teleporting yourself, Ginyu, Chaya, and Freeza to your son's world. Appearing beside him, standing on the ceiling of his crystal home.“Talk about what?” he replies aloud, turning around and meeting your gaze. Seeing you all gathered, eyes narrowing a bit.“Gathering our team.” Freeza says, you all quickly getting your son up to speed on the rules and everything that transpired.“Ten fighters, huh?” Chilli answers, crossing his arms. “Losing Future Chaya, Towa, and Ace is a blow, but at least there won't be a bunch of Zamasu. Even still, we have that Moro to worry about. And this Jiren, if he's really as strong as Toppo thinks, that's another big threat.”“It would be safe to assume every universe has at least one ace fighter.” Freeza says calmly. “Universe 6 has their assassin Hit, the Eleventh this Jiren, and I believe I heard it was the tenth that Zamasu has that have Moro. Who'll no doubt be deployed to this battle as well. In short, we have to be prepared for everything.”“I've figured out a way to stop Moro's energy drain, or at least slow it down. But with so many fighters, it won't make a difference. We'll have to stop him first.”“With everyone focused on me, you should be able to get to that goat man and take him down easy.” Chaya says, laying her hand on her brother's shoulder. “Kick his ass.”“And as much as I would enjoy battling that Toppo fresh, we must prioritize targets. With seventy fighters and ten of us, each of us must take down seven fighters apiece, if we're to win.” Ginyu says seriously. “So everyone we choose must be the absolute best at something.”“I agree. While simply compiling the ten physically strongest of us in one team could be an option, it would be foolish. We have no way of knowing what sorts of tricks the others have up their sleeves.” Freeza says, then nods to you. “Especially if others use poisons like that Lavender, or other debilitating abilities.”“Right. We need to be unbreakable. Not just with power and abilities, but our teamwork too has to be the focus.” Chaya says, surprising you that SHE's the one who'd suggest it.cont
>>6283984“Teamwork?” Freeza asks her, raising a brow. “What do you mean?”“It's an eighty fighter brawl. But with there being teams, the smartest move would be to move as a group, and not just attack whoever you come across.” Chaya says, holding up a finger. “Fighting alone is a good way to get flanked by another universe third-partying your fights. No, at least in the initial stages we'll have to fight together.”She then holds up her hand, forming a replica of the arena with her ki. Chilli, leaning in and studying it, takes in the shape of the stage.“Hmmm. No real defensible spot. And atop the central pillar there's quite the trap. Anyone from the rest of the entire stage can snipe you from up there.” Chilli muses, idly creating his own copy of the stage in his crystals floating in his hand. “The safest place would be down by the base of the pillar, with something solid at our backs. But the others'll probably be thinking the same. Which means that is where the fighting will be most fierce.”“We can strategize once we've gathered our team.” you say, placing your hand on your son's other shoulder. “Can I count on you to fight by my side, son?”“Of course. I'll be there.” he replies, then suddenly his eyes widen. “Wait. Forty hours, right? Eight hours apiece, that would give us five shifts of four full months inside that time chamber before the tournament begins. We don't have time to waste, we need to determine who is fighting, or who'll start in the chamber.”“Four months inside is eight hours out here?” Freeza asks, then turns and looks at Ginyu. Who nods back, Freeza turning to you all and answering. “The good captain and I are going now. I'll leave the rest to you for now, Karn. Chaya, if you would?”“Of course. Meet you back home Dad.” Chaya replies, using her Instant Transmission teleports Freeza and Ginyu away. Leaving you and Chilli standing alone on his roof.Four months...” he mutters, you seeing the resolve hardening in his eyes. “We need to figure out the rest of our team.”“And we will. But who else should we have?” you ask him. “There's your mother, Broly, Caulifla, King Vegeta, Cooler, King Cold, Bardock, hell that's already two more than we need. And I barely got started listing who all can fight.”“We're spoiled for choices, that's for sure.” he answers, closing his eyes a moment. “But we need someone else. We shouldn't decide the fate of our universe just by ourselves.”“Agreed.” you reply, raising your right hand to your forehead, focusing. And with Freeza gone to train, along with Ginyu for the next eight hours, seems we'll have to make many decisions ourselves. Including who to include in this little tournament bracket. But one fighter should be Caulifla, if she can come. Her power will be invaluable, should anyone take damage. Or get poisoned by another menacing coward. If this were a friendlier tournament with less stakes, I'd bring him. Lets lay down the facts: Jr's powerful and has stamina in spades, but he's got a very low amount of field experience, second to Haathe. An 80 person brawl is a lot to keep up with, even if half the roster are worthless shitters. Forget about Hit, anyone who can sneak worth a damn or have special tricks could be a significant problem for Junior, and having to babysit him while keeping up with the chaos is not ideal. Revealing he's no longer here, having used his crystals to teleport back to his home. “What about you, King Vegeta?”“I will be staying here. We have more than enough fighters to go forth and conquer, but we also need someone to control the situation here, should we be attacked. And while your Champion power might be missed, between myself and Raven we should be able to hold for an hour against anyone. Especially with your younger twins, Maz and Kayle having gotten Caulifla's healing powers. When you take her along, it won't cripple our healing efforts in a fight. But with so many of our allies spread across the universe, who else will you ask along? Between yourself and Meloka, Chaya, Freeza, Ginyu, Chilli and Caulifla, that only leaves three more open slots. We could bring Okira and Imagine Dragons for the lols;> The arena, in a ten-metre radius, disappears from underneath the feet of all contestants from other universes. With flying not allowed, could halve (or better) the number of contestants early on.Or tip our team off to grab a handhold, and then;> The direction of gravity is reverse within this dimension, such that combatants are repelled away from the arena surface.
If she could survive on a battlefield with Darkseid present, she can handle this, with a bit of protection from the rest of the team.
>>6284156Quit trying to drag our kids to a deathmatch when they are needed here to keep the home from being blown up.
>>6284154I do want to pre-emp this idea, slightly. The World of Void, or Null Realm, doesn't HAVE natural laws. Or atmosphere, gravity, light, anything. It is a realm of infinite nothing. All of it for the tournament would come from Grand Priest's own power, creating and continuing those concepts for every fighter. And trying to reverse it would put her power in DIRECT COMPETITION with the second-highest deity in this timeline's own strength. I wouldn't recommend it, and neither would Whis when he arrives to see your team selection. He would advise someone else take her place.
>>6284112“Yeah, I know one. If we can get him to fight's the main question. But if we can...” you say, voice trailing off as you focus. Closing your eyes, reaching out to a mind you've not contacted much, calling into the void. “Cell? Perfect Cell, can you hear me?”“Karn? What is going on?” he asks, a worried feeling in his mind. “Is everyone alright?”“Yes. But I need to speak to Amazo, if I can. We might need his help.” you answer, feeling his worry grow. A moment later, you feel the evolving android's thoughts booming in your mind once more.“KARN OF THE SAIYANS. I SEE. YOU SEEK MY HELP TO WIN THIS TOURNAMENT OF POWER ORCHESTRATED BY THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF DEITIES.” Amazo's thoughts bloom in your head like a supernova, you gritting your teeth against the pain. “UNFORTUNATELY, I CANNOT PARTICIPATE. AS I HAVE ALREADY SCANNED ONE OF THE KAI OF THE GLIND RACE FROM THE DEMON REALM. MUCH LIKE THE PILLAR MAN KARS, I WILL NOW BE INELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE AS WELL.”“That's unfortunate. We could have really used a being of your talents to fight for our universe.” you reply, but as you do suddenly you FEEL a surge of power near you all, and in a blink Amazo's simply standing there. Hovering a few inches off the ground before you, looking down at you. “Wha-?”“I scanned you before, remember? I copied all of your techniques and powers. Instant Transmission is, after all, one of the easiest techniques of Yardratian Spirit Control.” Amazo says, voice no longer blaring in your mind. “However, onto more important business. From what I saw in your mind, I do not possess the power to stop the Grand Priest from making this tournament a reality, much less the Omni King. So, instead of preventing the tournament, I must ensure our universe wins. By any means necessary.”“Just remember, it has to be entertaining for Grand Zen-Oh.” you reply. “As long as he is entertained, it shouldn't be a problem.”“So no eliminating competitors from other universes. Very well, I shall simply have to scout them, and not eliminate their threats.” Amazo says, eyes glowing. “I shall scout the other seven participating universes, and see how their strongest measure up to you. If you would transform, so I can measure your power against theirs.”“Of course. But don't worry about the Sixth, we've battled their best fighters twice now.” you tell the godlike andriod as you clench your fists. Ascending in a blaze of emerald aura into your Berserker God form. “But be careful. Moro, in the 10th, can drain energy through magic. Don't let him absorb your strength and take you out.”“Your concern is appreciated, and your worry noted. But do not fear.” is all he says, eyes glowing brighter and brighter.cont

Gone. Vanished, as if he never were. Silence hangs for several seconds, no one saying anything at the display.“Well. That was certainly an experience.” King Vegeta says, blinking a couple times. “I believe in you Karn. I know you'll defend us all once more, as you always have. And you as well, Meloka. The ever-faithful, always supporting him. I can sleep well tonight, knowing the future of New Salda is in your hands. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a lunch with my wife and son I absolutely cannot miss.”“I won't let you down, Vegeta.” you say, the two of you sharing a nod before he resumes his travel, following his family inside the restaurant directly across the street from his palace. We need to talk.” you think to him. “When King Cold arrives on New Salda, could you come down here as well? We need to plan for this tournament.”“You are aware that I cannot compete, yes?” he asks, you sensing the bitterness and anger in his voice at being completely at the mercy of the higher deities, unable to fight this battle himself.“Yeah. But that doesn't mean you can't help everyone prepare.” you reply, then tell him who you were just talking to. “Just spoke with Amazo, he's scouting the other universes competing as we speak. And when he returns in twenty hours, he'll have actionable intel on the other universes' strongest fighters.”“Oh? You actually convinced Amazo to help our cause? I'd already written him off.” Kars replies, sounding genuinely impressed. “Very well. When the king arrives, I shall as well. And we shall begin this little strategy meeting. I may not be able to fight directly, but I can still offer whatever aid I can to our cause.”And with that he ends the link, you opening your eyes to look to your wife.“He's in. When King Cold arrives, we'll be in business.” you tell her, to which she walks over to you. Flying up and wrapping her arms around your neck.“Good. Then I get you to myself for a little bit.” she says, lifting into the air as the two of you kiss. Your wife holding you close, you feeling a slight tremble in her arms as she kisses you with surprising desperation. You hold her tight, feeling a sudden wetness against your cheek. Pulling back, you see tears in the corners of her eyes falling.“Meloka? What's wrong?” you ask her, feeling your worry suddenly growing.“Dammit.” she mutters, reaching up and wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. “I-I'm fine. I'm fine.”“You're clearly not. What is it?” you ask, brows furrowing slightly as you stare into her eyes. “Meloka, you can tell me.”“We're... We're about to fight. Again. With everything on the line.” she says, you feeling her frustration and anger in her voice. “Why? Why must the stakes always be so dire? I don't want this. This pressure, of everything being on me, on you, on us. Of our entire reality's fate resting on our shoulders.”cont
>>6284226“I don't want to be responsible for everyone anymore. I only want to care about our family, our friends, and our planet.” she continues, trembling in frustration. “Not everyone else, not the rest of the universe and everyone that exists. I can't take it anymore, I can't bear that weight.”“Then don't fight for them.” you tell her, Meloka freezing in place. She stops still for a couple seconds, then looks up at you like you've gone mad. “Forget the rest of them. But if we lose this, we lose our planet. Our home, and our family. No matter what happens to everyone else, if we lose, our family is erased. And that's all that matters.”You reach up, hugging your wife to you. Comforting her, as well as you can.“We fight for our family, our people, and our world. If we also save everyone else, that's good too. But what really matters is we fight to keep our family safe.”“Y-You're right. Gods, it really is that simple, isn't it?” she asks with a sniff, pulling back and smiling a bit shakily at you. “If we lose, our family pay the price. And that's all that matters. We have to win, for them.”“For them.” you agree, seeing your wife's fractured, frayed resolve reharden, the steel coming back to her eyes. “We won't lose.”And before you can say anything else, you sense them. King Cold and Cooler have arrived. You both turn, seeing two lights flashing in the sky. Seeing the emperor of the universe Cooler and his father both flying into your planet's atmosphere.“Now, let's make sure we're ready. That we've got a plan to save our people.” you say, Meloka nodding to you. Because it really is that simple. No matter how high the stakes get, all that matters is that your family, your friends, and your people all are counting on you. And no matter what, you won't let them down.-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 paused-

>>6284232Glad to hear. Been waiting for this as well, after all the ToP started I think a year into SCQ's run. How good the their copy will be may depends how much of a genius he is. I mean this whole assumption may be completely not true, but Chronoa did changes to timeline, so maybe Paparoni is now noticeably smarter than he was in canon story. >>6284228Cooler and King Cold, the emperor of the universe and his father descend upon your planet, flying down to where you and your wife are. Slowing their descent, stopping by you both in the air.“General Karn. Meloka.” Cooler says, acknowledging you both. Then turning as he senses who you do as well, the four of you seeing the Supreme Kai-in-training Kars appear as well. “Kars.”“Emperor Cooler. King Cold.” Kars says with a grin and slight bow to both of them, then turns to you and your wife. “Karn. Meloka.”“Kars.” you reply, sharing a nod with him. But before you can say anything else, King Cold speaks up.“Before we begin, where are my son and Captain Ginyu?” King Cold asks. “I had felt their arrival here for a moment, but then they vanished from my range.”“They went inside another dimension. One where time moves differently. A year in there is only a day out here, and they got a head start on their training for this tournament.” you say, once more catching everyone up to speed on the tournament. And now also on what Chilli'd thought of, how to share the time chamber so everyone gets time to prepare. Except for Chaya, who's already spent two full years inside and cannot go back in.“I see. Quite the handy tool.” King Cold says, hand to his chin. “However, this presents quite the conundrum. With you leaving, Karn, there's no doubt in my mind that Zamasu will send his people after you. Either to prevent you from making it to the tournament at all, or to wipe your people out in your absence.”“Or worse, go after the Dragon Balls once more.” Kars adds, frowning. “While other universes get to focus on assembling their team for the tournament, we must balance having the most powerful team with defending this reality to return to. And that's not even considering what the other universes will do. As I'm certain that dog universe is going to try and assassinate Chaya before the tournament begins. They seem the type.”“If they try it, they'll get a harsh lesson. They'll be dead and mocked the universe over for their failure.” you say, but in the back of your mind there's a slight, nagging doubt. After all, none of you could sense the ki of anyone from the 9th.“Speaking of, we'll save discussion of the other universes for once Amazo returns.” King Cold says, steering the conversation back on track. “For now, we must assemble our teams. For we have not just this tournament and New Salda to care for. But also Earth, and Namek. The Dragon Balls cannot be allowed to fall into the enemy's hands.”cont
>>6284430As he says this, you remember back to the Zamasu invasion, attacking Earth, New Salda, the heavenly realm and Namek all simultaneously.“Hopefully you all killed enough of them to prevent such a widespread attack again, however I won't place my bets on the enemy forces being reduced to such a degree.” King Cold continues. “So, we must remain vigilant.”“Will you be participating in the tournament, father?” Cooler asks, King Cold shaking his head.“No. I shall leave that burden to you, my son. You and your brother shall fight for our universe, while I protect our universe's most powerful treasure.” King Cold says, clapping a hand on Cooler's shoulder surprisingly affectionate. “Show the other universes the might of our clan.”“I won't fail, father.” Cooler replies, the two sharing a nod. Seems the two of them have been getting along better than ever, now that Freeza's left and been training in the godly realm.“What of you, Kars?” King Cold suddenly asks. “While you cannot participate, I know going would net you powers you wouldn't otherwise attain, but will you go? And speaking of fruit...”Kars then pulls a strangely familiar-seeming fruit from his Kai robes, holding it up.“I brought a gift for our universe's fighters, once our team is decided.” he says with a grin. “The Tree of Might's fruit. It will raise everyone's power, just before we go into the tournament. Everything in our power to raise our odds of victory.”“The Tree of Might? Impressive. I'd though it lost after that Saiyan Bardock lost it.” King Cold says, a hint of something in his tone. “But that will certainly help our cause. And, speaking of our cause. We need to finish determining our team, and establishing a schedule for the time chamber's use. While letting someone use it for a full 24 hours could be beneficial, I think it best to, as your son suggested Karn, spread that out so everyone participating gets at least four months of training.”“Aside from Chaya, who's already spent two years inside. She can no longer go.” your wife corrects. “But aside from her, everyone else still has time.”“Ah, so that is the limit.” King Cold nods. “Very well. Let us first figure out the Seventh's defenders. My sons, obviously, as well as Ginyu.”“Myself and Meloka will be fighting, along with Chaya and Chilli.” you continue. “Which means we need three more.”“What about Aku?” Cooler asks his father. “The Shapeshifting Master of Darkness could-”“No. While he is powerful, he is also careless. Too carefree for a battle like this, with everything on the line. And worse yet, he would probably accidentally kill someone, disqualifying himself and penalizing our universe. No, we cannot risk him there. However, I may be able to enlist him to aid in defending our territory while you all are gone. Who else? What other names can we put forward? What of your other children, Karn?”cont
>>6284476“Junior and Okira are both too young, as are Maz and Kayle.” you say, shaking your head. “The older twins, they're powerful when combined. But their fusion doesn't last the entire tournament's length, and de-fusing may result in them being disqualified too. Of my other children, Cauilfla would be best to ask, her healing powers could prove invaluable if anyone gets injured and she's no slouch in combat. Especially since she's been drawing those otherworldly invaders to her, battling them every day for hours on end. I will certainly ask her. Aside from her, Broly could also be a good fit, he's strong.”“A healer is an absolute necessity, especially one with power. And while your son Broly may be strong, however, everything he can do, you can as well, no?” Kars points out. “While we could double-down on power, on strength to carry the day, perhaps there are others who possess different talents to bring to this battle?”“You mean like my cousin Arctus?” Cooler asks thoughtfully. “He's not gotten the Golden power, but he does have the fifth form like I do.”He says, flashing up to his fifth form before powering back down just as quickly.“No. He doesn't possess any ability that either you or your brother, or the Saiyans do not possess.” Kars shakes his head. “And he's best left here, observing and ready for that monster Darkseid to try and come through.”“What about Ubo? He could help.” you say, considering it. “And if he's not a good fit, they do seem to have powerful beings on the planet the remaining Kryptonians call home.”“Kryptonians? They would be strong, initially.” Kars says, tapping his chin. “However, with the rules of the tournament as they are, they'd all be under the effects of a red star, and not that obnoxiously powerful yellow star that empowers the three of them. No. They would be the strongest when the fight starts, but quickly lose strength in the Null Realm. But perhaps they do have allies who're better suited for fighting in that realm. It is worth considering.”Well? What do you do?>Leave the big thinkers to figure out who else to contact while you fly to your daughter Caulifla and ask for her help. Personally go and recruit her in person, not by telepathy>Telepathically contact Ubo, see if he knows anyone who'd make a good ally for the tournament in a realm without sunlight>Go through your allies with King Cold and Kars, see who potential participants in the Tournament of Power could be and who would be better suited to defending this reality instead>Other(write in)?

>>6284477“I'll reach out to Ubo, see if he knows anyone there.” you say, taking a couple steps back as Cooler, Cold, and Kars continue scheming. Closing your eyes, you reach out telepathically, seeking your old ally. “Hey, Ubo. Can you hear me?”“Karn? Is everything okay?” he wonders back, you realizing you need to reach out more if everyone's first thought to you calling upon them is 'is everything okay'. But you focus on the task at hand first, quickly explaining the tournament and its rules, as well as the World of Void itself. “Forty eight minutes for a battle royal, eighty fighters across eight universes. Seems you've found your dream battle.”He laughs at his own joke, then you sense him get more serious.“Perhaps you should come tell everyone? The league is all gathered on Earth, after we had to drop the Watchtower to save our planet from a serious threat.” he tells you, you wondering what threat would cause them to drop an entire space station on their planet.“That might work, give me a minute.” you reply, then open your eyes, speaking to everyone. “Going to go visit with Ubo real quick, as their heroes are gathered in one place. Perhaps I'll find someone to bring along for the tournament.”“Very well. Good luck.” King Cold says, nodding to you as you raise your hand to your forehead.“I”m coming along too.” your wife says, reaching out and placing her hand on your arm. “It's never simple whenever you go there, that planet's almost cursed by things going wrong.”“We'll be right back.” you tell everyone, then focus on Ubo through the link. “Ready?”“Ready.” he answers, and with a thought you teleport. Leaving New Salda behind once more, appearing beside your longtime friend. “Long time no see, friends!”And without hesitation he wraps BOTH of you in his arms, lifting the pair of you up off your feet with crushing force. Holding you both in the air a moment before setting you both down.“It is good to see you again.” he says, you seeing the wide, happy smile on his face. “You just missed all the fun, we finished cleaning up the last of the Thanagarian invasion.”“The who?” your wife asks as Ubo's partner and fellow Kryptonian Galatea steps forward.“Oh, we have guests. At least you all aren't here to conquer our planet like the last group.” she says, shaking her head. “What brings you all here?”cont
>>6284560“I only want to explain it once, if you wouldn't mind gathering your leaders for this.” you say, shaking your hear. “Long story short, the universe's fate is about to be decided by a battle royal.”“Ha, that's a good one.” she says, her smile fading as neither you nor Meloka laugh. “Oh, you're serious.”“Yeah. We have less than forty hours to gather our team for this.” you tell her and Ubo. “We're kind of on the clock now.”“Wait here, we'll gather the leaders.” Ubo says, he and Galatea sharing a nod before flying off in different directions. A moment later they return, several others coming over and joining you. Several you recognize, the other Kryptonian, the man in dark, the woman in red, white, and blue, the green man J'onn, and a few others you don't think you've seen before. >>6284561As they talk you quickly focus your ki sense on them. They're all relatively powerful, save for two. One's power comes from his ring that reminds you of the one you'd bested at Dreadzone. Only his ring was yellow, and this guy's is green. And the dark-caped one. Who you turn to, being the weakest being present.“You. What do you think?” you ask him, clearly catching him by surprise as you address him directly. “You're the physically weakest one here, which means to stand toe-to-toe with them means you fight with your mind and not only physical strength. And we need strategy to win this tournament as well as raw power.”“If you want my opinion, you're not coming to us looking for raw power. Even Superman here can't best you, yet anyways.” he says, you raising a brow at that. “No. You didn't come here seeking the strongest of our warriors. You're here for someone different. A power you don't have at your disposal, something to turn the tide when used correctly. And I think I know just who to call.”He says, then raises his hand to his ear under his cowl.“Come in, Plas. This is Batman. I've got a job for you.” he says. A few moments later you hear someone laughing hysterically, turning and seeing... A red ball as big around as your torso bouncing towards you all. You hear Batman sigh, getting an ominous feeling as the ball bounces closer. Only to suddenly unravel itself into the shape of a man wearing a red suit and black glasses, smile stretching far wider than should be physically possible.“Batman I came as soon as I-!” he starts, then gasps. Jaw literally hitting the ground as he sees you and Meloka standing there. Pointing a finger dramatically. “ALIENS!”But no one reacts or laughs, the guy looking back and forth as if expecting laughs. Only to physically deflate as no one appreciates his 'joke'.“This is your guy?” you ask Batman, raising a brow. “You'd put your faith in him?”“Plas may be... Well he's a lot of things. But one of them is completely impervious to physical damage.” Batman says, gesturing towards him. “Go ahead, give it a try.”“Hold on, I didn't come over here just to be a-!” he starts, only for Meloka to blitz him. Drawing her Ki Blades, stabbing both straight into his chest. Cutting him off, causing the guy to look down at your wife. “Punching bag. That's not very polite.”And to your horror, suddenly wraps his entire body around your wife's. Engulfing her in him like when Ginyu absorbed his allies. You have to stop him!cont
>>6284651“HAAAAAAAAAAA!!” Meloka roars, beating you to the punch as she ascends. Aura blazing as she goes straight to her strongest form beyond Super Saiyan Blue. Ripping him to shreds. Only for the pieces of the man to reconvene, just like Ginyu's Majin Buu body.“Okay, oww. That really hurt.” he says, your wife blinking in astonishment as his body returns to its original shape. “Wait, you can change your hair? Me too!”You then watch as he starts actively changing his hair to look like her own, then changing it back.“The Eighties called, they want their hairspray back.” he jokes as you turn back to Batman.“He may not be all that strong, compared to your kind. But if the objective is to have the most fighters left on the stage when the forty eight minutes are up, Plas here will be an indispensable ally. And, in a world where flight isn't permitted, he can retrieve allies as they're about to fall off the stage. Plas, how much can you lift with your arms stretched over a hundred feet?”“Hmmm, good question.” he replies, stretching his right hand away as his left goes to his chin, rubbing it. Further and further his hand stretches until you can no longer see it, leaving you all wondering what he's up to. Until his hand starts coming back, holding an entire vehicle in his hands. A long, sleek, black one with what looks like some sort of rocket engine protruding from the back. Setting it down as Batman glares at him. “At least a couple tons.”Curious, you walk over, getting a grip on the vehicle and lifting. Surprised by its weight, the vehicle looking far heavier than you'd assumed. Even in this world's very light gravity, less than a tenth of New Salda's own, the vehicle is still quite dense.“Damn, not bad. What did you say your name was again?” you ask the stretchy man, whose grin widens further.“I'm Plastic Man!” he declares, planting his fists on his hips. Puffing out his chest comically, and raising one of his arms. Flexing his stretchable body.“Alright, Plastic Man.” you say, taking your fighting stance. “Let's see if you've got what it takes to fight in this tournament.”“Alright, bring it on, space man!” he replies, stretching his hands. Enlarging his right fist, and shifting his left into a large hammer. “I'll show you what Earth's Stretchiest Hero can do!”-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 paused-
>>6284653And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoying the pre-ToP so far? Ready to see just what Plastic Man can do against such a massive power gap? Well, it's nice to know I kinda called it. We now have diet Buu.
>>6284653Oh shit, he's THAT version, we got a non magic version of Buu, which we should let Bruce know about.>>6284655It makes me wish the Ginyu Force was here, it'd be great.
>>6284657>diet BuuHa. Should you choose to keep Plas along for the Tournament, after all Bruce has no idea about you having Buu.>>6284658Plastic Man is BUSTED. The world is lucky he chooses to be comic relief rather than a menace. If you choose to take him for the tournament, they'll certainly meet.
>>6284655I'm a bit dubious about this one. Because Plastic Man is, pretty much fucking immortal you can just blast the shit out of him and send bits of him flying everywhere. If any of those bits make it out of bounds he's done. And while he can control those parts even when they're apart that doesn't mean he can stop them from flying at mach 3 straight outta town if someone with some Oomph just chucks a bomb at him. Granted all he has to do is pretend to be a rock and stick really hard to the ground and he'll probably go completely overlooked.
>>6284655damn, i'm too invested in this. it's gonna be a long week>>6284657i mean, if there's any role i don't mind having overlap... that's buuwhile we are still on the recruiting mindset, what do you guys think about the earthlings? krillin's a team player, has great chemistry with chaya and is an android with energy absorption. tenshinhan has infinite energy for infinite kikohos and yamcha... overlaps with krillin.there's also piccolo who has his potential unleashed form which we might be able to push to orange with some extra time in the chamber but don't quote me on that
Oh hey the meme came true after all. It is Plastic man. Though I would argue this would be one of the rare instances he locks in for an hour. Also yes we could kill him probably, if we had DDF up, but as is nah. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe a Super Nova to make a micro blackhole to eat him but otherwise nothing we have will put him down.
So we have a support-type tank? Not taking any damage at all is pretty huge, but he runs into the same problem that most other nigh-invulnerable characters do, where they do no fuckin' damage. This tournament's lose condition isn't just boxing until you drop, there's ringouts too. I doubt that Plas would go out half as sad as Botamo did in the canon ToP, but he'd have to root himself in place somewhere and not let his pieces fall out of the ring. Or maybe we can use his unique mastery over his body in a sneakier way? All in all, not too sure about this guy.
>>6284660If you can even HIT him with them outside of point-blank range He can dodge light speed beam and blast attacks, and does so with ease. The best way to eliminate him is freezing him so he turns solid, then chucking him out of bounds before he melts. Or Hit's Time Cage, or just getting Jiren'd. Maji Kaiyo(fuck spelling) shows what happens in that matchup if he fights with zero imagination.>>6284668Don't worry, the intermission'll be fun. Some solid picks. But the androids aren't nearly as strong as the canon androids.>>6284671When he learns the stakes, he'll know how serious things are.Yeah, you can't KILL him as you are. Considering he was ATOMIZED for 3000 years and recombined his atoms and emerged physically fine, without a hint of damage you can't end him.>>6284673A support-only tank, as he can't do DAMAGE. But he has excellent range, and push/pull capabilities. He could crawl along the outside of the ring, grabbing ankles and pitching people off. Or pretending to be the arena itself, moving and causing people to stumble at the perfect moments to be attacked or to protect an ally from being rung out. He's far more creative with his stretch and color change than Ginyu. Just have to wait and see.
>>6284682>He can dodge light speed beam and blast attacks, and does so with ease. Please, please god no. Not POWERSCALING AAIIIIEEEE >inb4 powerscalers pointing out RR Army saga goku dodging lasers and it only number goes up from there
>>6284685>Not POWERSCALING AAIIIIEEEENot getting into madness of powerscaling. Because you can't powerscale Toon Force. Consider the time he ate several cities and carried them in his mouth as he leapt from Brainiac's exploding ship. While inflating his head like a hot air balloon. Or any of the really goofy, wacky shit he can do. His biggest threat in the tournament, aside from Jiren, will unironically be Dr. Rota.

And possibly force her to fight FOR them instead.Terrifying possibility. To have our carefully selected dream team for the tournament being pushed off the stage by Arale.
>>6285051Beyond totally destroying his constituent atoms, I'm pretty sure getting absorbed by Ginyu would effectively "kill" him. That's assuming Ginyu would be able to remain as the dominant soul within Buu's body, but still.
>>6284752So I had an idea. Assuming all of Amazo makes it back, what if we had Karn go into the Time Chamber with Amazo mimicking Jiren so we could grind against him/his PL for 4 months?
>>6285069If it's just about having somebody stronger than us, we could just ask Future Chaya to train with us in the chamber.
>>6285051In this case he does mean the Dragon Balls. He has plenty of treasures, but none he can make grant him wishes.Plastic Man can be stopped by extreme heat/cold, as well as magic and a few other things too. But as Kunshi and Piccolo both show in the canon ToP, being able to stretch and grab teammates to keep them from falling off the edge is clutch.Yeah, getting Arale'd would be a terrible fate. Worst part is she'd just go along with it, it wouldn't work but she'd still ko your side because being mind controlled's funny.>>6285057You do NOT want to watch that. Would be horrifying watching them compete for dominance trying to absorb one another.>>6285069Wouldn't work, even if he agreed to do such. No, when he returns he's going to have a new goal. >>6285186>You do NOT want to watch that. Would be horrifying watching them compete for dominance trying to absorb one another. So Plastic Man is just Buu if he were a class clown instead of an insatiable beast. But I imagine that an absorption incident between the two would look something like this snippet, which is pretty gross. https://youtu.be/76-8xyGf7w0?si=avwGLiuaaq2LM1T6&t=110>Wouldn't work, even if he agreed to do such. No, when he returns he's going to have a new goal. A new purpose, seeing the other universes.I wonder if Amazo will ever end up finding what he wants out of life. It must've been an isolating existence when he realized his potential, but I'm glad he found a friend in Perfect Cell.
>>6284431>As he says this, you remember back to the Zamasu invasion, attacking Earth, New Salda, the heavenly realm and Namek all simultaneously.>“Hopefully you all killed enough of them to prevent such a widespread attack again, however I won't place my bets on the enemy forces being reduced to such a degree.” King Cold continues. “So, we must remain vigilant.”This is a reasonable assumption, that their numbers aren’t as huge as before, but we don’t really know how many of them there actually were.I was thinking about it. Even if it their numbers were reduced greatly Zamasu could still be a massive problem. Karn fought many Zamasu. Those of them that had immortality, so far they all seem to have “normal” immortality. Even strongest Meloka Black. I mean by this that no matter how much damage they received they always regenerated. Restoring that one person fully healed. That was actually good for us.But it does not always happen like this. Manga and anime shows it. In anime when Zamasu’s body was destroyed thanks to immortality his will remained and he attempted to have his essence and energy become one with the very fabric of the cosmos.https://youtu.be/8zhgxEQZ2Yw?si=b5WgUi7IVwkxvU1M&t=102Luckily nothing like this happened so far, but there is always a chance that one of the Zamasu that we will meet is capable of doing this. If something like this happens in our timeline it is going to be a disaster. Zeno dealt with this be erasing entire timeline. Though Karn does not want to erase everything he fights to protect. Probably the only way to fix it without annihilation is through Super Dragon Balls. Maybe wish for “Purify our timeline from Zamasu” or something better worded. When Karn entered the dimension of Zamasu’s Dream it kind of looked like an Infinte Zamasu but it wasn’t the same. Zamasu may lost his dream, but he still hates mortals and Karn, so if he would achieve this “infinite” state, he would still be great threat.
Then there is also manga type of Infinite Zamasu. From wiki:>In the manga, after Future Trunks cuts the half-defused Fused Zamasu in half, Goku Black and Future Zamasu seemed to be defused. However, as Future Trunks stabs Goku Black, the latter gets back up and blasts him. He then removes the sword from his body before shattering it and transforms into Fused Zamasu. Future Zamasu appears behind Goku and transforms himself into Fused Zamasu as well. They then start beating Goku down and attempted to kill him. However, Vegeta, who had been powered up by his fury as a Super Saiyan Blue kicked Goku out of their grasp and fired Gamma Burst Flash at the two Fused Zamasus, blowing them into bits. After being blown apart by Vegeta, pieces of the two Fused Zamasus regrew into more Fused Zamasus.Another quote from wiki:>Being multiple Fused Zamases, Infinite Zamasu is even stronger than any of his predecessors. In this form, Infinite Zamasu's regeneration is so great, he was able to survive being blasted to smithereens and even have said pieces regenerate to form clones of Fused Zamasu. With that being said, Infinite Zamasu's regeneration ability surpasses even Majin Buu's, as even the slightest trace of Infinite Zamasu can reform into clones that are all equal in power, something Buu is incapable of doing. We are lucky nothing like this happened so far, but it may require only one Zamasu that is capable of doing this to turn him into a new ever growing legion. If he started to really abuse it he could flood and overwhelm our entire timeline with this endless army made from initially just one Fused Zamasu. Even if among them there is only one Zamasu that can do it, it is still a big danger.
>>6285629Potara fusion Karn and Broly would probably look at that infinite zamasus like a pitbull looks at a daycare. Would that be Kaly or Barn?
>>6285639I'd call him Karoly, but apparently that's already taken. On the topic of fusions, it might not be a bad idea to have Tatsu and Tomi show us the Fusion Dance so we can spend time perfecting it in the HTC as back-up strategy.Just imagine the type of shit Kalli or Kareeza could do in a pinch.
>>6285627That's because Divine Dragon Force and Chilli's Death Magic laugh at immortality. Thankfully you had options. Kars too, it doesn't matter how immortal you are if your soul is devoured along with your body.>>6285629Not entirely sure what Toyotaro was cooking with the manga there, not gonna lie. Was real deus ex bullshit going on, he was clearly reading a Lobo comic around that time.>>6285639Let's see, we have Karly, Brolrn, Kroly, single syllable names are hard to fuse. Why Tomi and Tatsu were both two-syllable names.>>6285668Would be a terrible use of time, with the Potara being readily available when the time comes. And being Potara makes a stronger fusion usually, wouldn't recommend wasting the time on a technique that will fail at the most inopportune times. And Karn lacks the Z-Fighters' plot armor.
>>6285639THE BARN, IS IN THE HOUSE
>>6285700I was gonna ask if we could actually convince Shin and the Old Kai to lend us a pair of Potara for emergencies, but I realize now Kars could just lend us his.Anyways, I wanted to ask about something Ubo said earlier, specifically when he referred to Earth as his world. I had thought that he and Galatea had started resettling Krypton in earnest, having moved on from any adoptive worlds they inhabited before. What made them reconsider?

Wouldn't Fusion Dance be more reliable for Karn specifically?
>>6285704Ha.>>6285723They had started. But with Earth constantly under threat they've spent more and more time there instead. Venturing to Krypton only to explore it infrequently, or for time alone.>>6285775Didn't affect Kefla, in either anime or Manga version. And in the manga she was still full-on Berserker, having not controlled it like the anime. Remember, the fusion's timer is only decreased depending on the type of ki USED by the warriors fused. Which is why Blue Vegito defused in minutes, same with Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks.
>>6285803>Didn't affect Kefla, in either anime or Manga version. >>6285803I didn't consider Kefla in this because the canon version it was just a Legendary Power, the Anti Divine Weapon it is in SCQ, and honestly I dont recall if Caulifa and Kale fused in the U6/U7 Tournament.
>>6285814*not the anti Anti Divine Weapon
>>6285813But it DID happen, and twice. So the why has to be considered and taken into account.>>6285814>I dont recall if Caulifa and Kale fused in the U6/U7 Tournament. They did, well after the tournament for Zen-Oh's entertainment and fought Tomitsu. Their Super Saiyan 3 against Tomitsu's Golden Oozaru.
Stuck on a difficult choice this week. Freeza and Ginyu in the chamber? Or character development for Chaya and Marron?
>>6286101I need to know what our granddaughter from another world is doing. Freeza can tell us all about it when he leaves that chamber.

Kars too, it doesn't matter how immortal you are if your soul is devoured along with your body.Does this mean that Kars can not only devour someone’s body but also their soul? What happens to that person when they are eaten so entirely? Is it that after this there is truly nothing left of them? Devoured person does not show up to wait in the line to King Yemma’s Castle in order to be stent to Heaven or Hell. Are they just fully gone? By the way, is that caught Zamasu still imprisoned? Did he tried to argue with Shin and Old Kai about how his vision of a Ningen free world is right and they should agree with him?>>6286101>Freeza and Ginyu in the chamber? Or character development for Chaya and MarronI find both topics interesting. Teams for each Universe will be different from canon Dragon Ball. Will one of the universes bring members of Viltrumite race to the tournament?
>>6286728The Viltrumites are cool, but if any of the Universes in this tournament had the Image Comics lineup, I'd expect to see pic related front and center before anything else. And God willing their twin universe would have the Dark Horse roster. God I'd love to see Hellboy cut loose in a battle like this.
-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 Intermission-AGE 759, THE LOOKOUT“We shall return. Far stronger and more capable than ever.” Freeza says, walking into the Time Chamber first.“See ya in eight hours.” Ginyu says, following the former emperor inside. Mr. Popo closing the door, and cutting of your ability to sense either of them.“So, when do we go in?” Marron asks you, you turning to see her excited expression. “I'm ready to train for this tournament too!”“Marron, I...” you start, seeing the change in her expression immediately. You sigh out, breaking the news to her. “Sorry, but you're not going to be fighting this one.”“What?” she asks, suddenly looking hurt. “What do you mean? You can't be serious, this is the fate of the universe! Why... Why won't you let me help? Am I... Can I really no help at all?”Her words hit you like a punch in the guts, you remembering back to saying something similar in the past to your father and mother. You are Chaya, Dreadzone's Champion, Goddess of Victory of the Seventh Universe, and after returning from the Zen-Oh Expo you'd reached out to your future daughter Marron to teleport to her, to bring Freeza and Ginyu to the Time Chamber. But after explaining to Marron what's happening on the way, you find yourself having quite the difficult conversation. And while you could just tell her no one from a different original timeline could participate, suddenly, you have an idea. You have no idea if it'll work, but you're willing to try.“Alright Marron. Tell you what. Fight me.” you say, seeing her eyes widen in surprise. “Here and now. Don't hold anything back.”“Wh-What?” she says, clearly surprised. “Do you really-?”“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, ascending straight to your Beyond Blue form. Aura blazing as your godly power soars. “Fight me. Don't hold back, show me everything you've got! If you REALLY want to fight for this universe, then show me! Show me your resolve! Right here! Right now!”“Hold on. Go outside, if you're going to fight.” Mr. Popo says seriously. “Don't destroy the castle.”
>>6286839“Right. C'mon, we can fight better out there than in here.” you reply, turning and leading your daughter out onto the Lookout. Taking a couple dozen steps out to one side, your other timeline daughter moving opposite you. Then when you stop and turn, she turns as well, clenching her fists. You see her start to murmur to herself, feeling her divine aura starting to rise. Watching as her aura blazes, transforming.“HRRRAAAAAAAA!!” she roars, ascending to the partially-divine state. Golden aura blazing as she then launches herself towards you. Bracing yourself, you take your fighting stance as she closes in on you. Swinging a wild, heavy right for your head. Which you block with your raised left forearm, stopping her blow as a shock wave blasts out from the impact. Marron follows up with a left turning kick at your head, which you block by raising your right and stepping in, stopping her kick on the shin with your forearm. You see her eyes widen as her strikes do nothing, drawing her right back and firing a thrust kick at your chest, clearly planning to use that strike to make some distance. Instead, you lower your left, catching her heel and swinging her. Turning her own momentum into a throw as you pitch her straight off the Lookout. “Waaaaaaaah!?”“Sloppy!” you call, chasing her down. Not closing in, waiting for her to recompose and reorient herself before dashing faster.“Tch! HYAAAAA!!” she roars, firing a blast from her right. But you don't even slow, rolling counterclockwise and backhanding the strike. Redirecting the attack straight into the air, energy trail fading behind it as you continue closing in.“Predictable.” you instruct, closing in and firing three quick left jabs. Restraining your power as you get in close, lowering your strength down to only around double her own as you fire your attacks. Marron shells up, not even attempting to dodge as she instead tries to withstand the blows. But seeing her defense, and the flaws in it step forward after the third jab, right uppercut landing clean to her guts. Doubling her over your fist as all the air is forced out of her body. “Uninspired. Where's the spark of creativity? The flourish, the unexpected? You're just going through the motions!”
>>6286842As you talk she barely manages to push herself back off your fist, arms wrapped around her middle as she struggles to breathe. After a few seconds, and hitting herself in the guts she forces a breath, gasping for air. You let her catch her breath, waiting to see what else she's got before she retorts.“You're. Only saying that. Because. You're stronger.” she wheezes, you realizing she's not getting it. So you power down completely out of the divine forms, down to your base before taking on the power of an Ascended Super Saiyan.“Prove it.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. “Prove I'm only winning because of the power gap.”“Are you mocking me?” she asks, aura blazing higher as she grits her teeth, fists clenched. “Grrrrr! Take me seriously damn it!”With that roar she charges back in, now substantially faster. But you still dodge her predictable, amateurish right hand with the Su Ma. Spinning clockwise around her outstretched right hand, landing a right backfist and spinning left straight to her jaw. Only for Marron to snarl and fire a right backfist of her own, which you backflip under. Landing a flipping left kick to her jaw, snapping her head back as you make distance.“GRRRR! DAMMIT!!” she snarls, going back on the attack. Attacking faster and faster, yet even despite the speed difference in your forms, she can't hit you. All of her attacks are basic, linear, and direct. No feints or setups, just throwing power shots out of anger. Each of which you see coming a mile away, easily dodging around with the Su Ma's evasive style. “Why can't I hit you?!”“Because you're green.” you retort, kicking off her back and flipping away, having flipped over her left straight. She snarls again, turning towards you with barely-contained frustration. But you hold up a hand, powering back down. To which she stops, looking upset and hurt. So, you fly over, laying a hand on her shoulder as she powers down too. “Look, Marron. I know exactly how strong you are. And what you can and can't do. I know you want to help, but this tournament will be of the ten absolute strongest, most experienced, and devious fighters across eight universes. And you're not that.”“But-!” she starts, you raise a hand and press a finger to her lips, stopping her objection.
>>6286844“Listen. I know you want to help. But I also know, deep down, you're not a fighter.” you say, seeing her eyes widen in shock as you continue. “You've been a fighter, been your people's champion because there was no one else to take up the role. No one else to save them. You were a fighter because you HAD to be. But, deep down, I know you're not about this life, not as obsessed with strength like your grandpa, or as dedicated to keeping up with him as my mom. And that's okay. That's the reason he fights.”“Wh-What?” Marron asks, looking confused as you remember back to your dad explaining his philosophy of strength.“The golden rule of the universe. The strong do as they want, and the weak either submit. Or die.” you tell her, seeing the gears turning in her mind as she processes this. “Dad, my dad, your grandfather, knows this. That's why he became so strong. And encouraged us all to be as strong as we are too. Not so we could fight. But so we didn't HAVE to fight, if we didn't wish to. That we could be strong enough to follow our own dreams. And I want that for you too.”You say, gently cupping her face in your hands. Staring into her eyes, your daughter looking to you for direction. A spark of hope there, as you continue while she looks to you.“To live the life you actually want, not the one you feel obligated to live. Not the expectations of others, but what you actually want. So, tell me, Marron: what do you REALLY want out of life?”“I... I....” she says, voice trailing off as she looks down at her hands. You seeing them tremble, her entire body language screaming uncertainty as she whispers. “I don't know. I've been fighting for so long, I... I don't know what else to do.”“Then, when this Tournament of Power is over, we'll spend some time, just you and me.” you say, wrapping your daughter in a hug. “We'll figure out what you want to do with your life, and set you on that path. Together.”“T-Together.” she says, hugging you back as you feel her break down crying. You smile, holding your daughter as she finally relaxes, letting it all go. Letting go of the expectation of being a warrior, of having to live up to her own mother, you from that other timeline. But instead being her own person. And you're going to give it all you've got in this Tournament of Power, to ensure your daughter not only HAS a future, but the one she actually, truly wants. You can't fail her, you WON'T! No matter what, you're going to win this thing. For her.-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 Intermission End-
>>6286845She's got heart, but she ain't got that dog in her, that's for sure. Hurts to hear, but it's true nonetheless.Props to Chaya for ripping off the band-aid and giving it to Marron straight at least. Probably one of the hardest things to do to somebody who looks up to you like that.I only hope she doesn't take our philosophy verbatim and think Karn is just a might-makes-right shithead in the back of her mind.
>>6286728If a Viltrumite shows up, it would have to be in a non-Saiyan universe.Pillar Men are scary, but the perfect life form even more so. After all, he can see the living and dead and consume both. THanks to his exposure to a certain Death Magic spell he took from a certain someone.A good question. Kars hasn't mentioned them again, but safe to say he didn't leave it alive after getting everything he wanted. >>6286736>Spawn>spoilerDo you want to make this tournament harder on yourself than it already is?>>6286852She's not a fighter, deep down. And Chaya can recognize it. She sees the difference, and knows what going down the wrong path others choose for you, instead of doing your own thing can lead to. She wants Marron to be happy with the life she chooses to live, not playing a role expected of her. We'll see just how deeply she understands, perhaps after the tournament's over.
>>6286866>Do you want to make this tournament harder on yourself than it already is?I would ask just much worse it could get, but frankly speaking we're already in for FAR more than we bargained for. Beyond having to deal with all the special guests and Jiren, I'm still not to keen of spending any amount of time in the void between realms.I am very tempted to stare back at IT though, not gonna lie.
I hope that Marron realizes even if she's not cut out for the fighting life, she'll always have help from here and another place to call home. I know it's lonely out there, being the only fighter worth a damn that's willing to protect those who can't defend themselves. I hope that she gets to stop fighting and start living.

>>6286888All I'm saying is that there's a reason Chronoa never let anybody watch the recordings of Karn when he isn't training or murdering his friends. At the end of the day he's just a man trying to do right by his people.

These days, he actually has a decent plan when getting into a fight, and he's usually the one ending fights instead of starting them like before.
>>6286922>I think it goes understated just how much wiser and worldlier Karn became from being a father of several and being a hero to manyTrue. Beyond just the experience of having to raise so many kids, it also gave Karn a new perspective on his own upbringing, especially after Tatsu told him the truth of things. on that note, I have to wonder if Karn remembers anything about his mother...if she survived childbirth I mean.>Granted, he still is very much a force of absolute carnage and violence, but he's come a long way from the arrogant and reckless young adult he used to be.I feel like Killua's death was the start of that big shift, where Karn expressed his exhaustion from the senseless violence he kept getting wrapped up in. Then he killed that boy, but that goes without saying.>These days, he actually has a decent plan when getting into a fight, and he's usually the one ending fights instead of starting them like before. It's a wonder what decent training and a good mindset will do for you in the field.

Maybe Whis’ father would say that Spawn is no longer someone who can compete in a tournament for mortals. I’m not sure.Hellboy is a half-demon half-human, so maybe he would be allowed.>>6286845Very nice intermission. >>6287578>Those would be very interesting additions to the tournament. I am unable to judge how their power would compare members of Team Universe 7.As far as I'm aware, Viltrumites might look like saiyans, but they don't have ki attacks, can breathe in space, live in their prime for thousands of years, get STRONGER the longer they live for, can hear and see supernaturally well, can allegedly regenerate (Not Namekian fast, but sponge fast), and have a crippling weakness to tinnitus and human compassion. The ki control thing would be amended if they ever got in this quest, so I think they'd be like saiyans if they traded the transformations for longevity and durability. Not a *bad* tradeoff, but not too interesting.>>6287578>Whenever you are not sure what is the right choice… think what would Goku do?I think that thinking like Goku would've gotten us killed in session #20. >>6287623Very soon.
>>6284653Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:After Chaya versus Toppo ended by stoppage, neither fighter winning, the Grand Priest announced that the tournament would begin in only 40 hours. A battle royal lasting 48 minutes, eighty fighters from eight universes competing to ensure their own survival. And upon returning to his universe Karn immediately got to work. Recruiting his firstborn son Chilli first, Freeza and Ginyu departing for Earth's Room of Spirit and Time to train for eight hours outside, or four months inside the chamber. Karn then, after speaking with King Cold and Kars asks Ubo if he knows anyone to join the tournament. And as we rejoin Karn, you're about to face off against a being known as Plastic Man. Before your wife suddenly interrupts.“Hold on. Just fighting here, there's no out-of-bounds. Let me make a stage real quick.” she says, summoning a score of her Warding Eyes around her. Sending them out, you watching as they start combining. Quickly forming a four or five dozen yards square arena, hovering a few feet over your head. “There. Now you will have an arena to battle on, where ring-outs can happen.”“Impressive as always hun.” you say to your wife, kissing her on the head before leaping up onto the platform. Plastic Man follows, legs stretching in a way that can only be described as wrong. His elastic legs lack the structure to lift his entire weight, much less his modifications by turning his hands into weapons. Yet he moves almost freely, as if his body isn't quite bound by the same laws of reality as you are. Which is something to watch out for, as he could attack in unconventional ways. “Rules are simple. No killing, no outside weapons or items, if you touch anything outside the arena you're out of bounds, and no flying. Any questions?”“Yeah. Why do they sell hot dog buns is packages of eight, but hot dogs in packages of ten?” he asks, you blinking in confusion. Unaware of what he's talking about, but just from a raw logistical perspective that makes no sense. Who is in charge of such terrible resource distribution on this planet?“Ready! But you're ready, twisting your body clockwise around it. However, without using your flight to slow yourself, your charge carries you right past him for several yards, landing near the edge of the arena. But you stop yourself, kicking back off towards him. Plastic Man turns, readying another swing that you dodge once more. This time kicking off the ground with far less force, just barely spinning past him and firing off a turning left power strike into his jaw. But instead of tearing his head from his body, or sending him flying, his neck STRETCHES. Absorbing the power as his body distorts, then his head snaps back like elastic. Rocketing towards your own face like a rocket. “Tch!”Spinning counterclockwise you barely avoid that blow, ending up before him as he tries to hit you with his left in a crushing hammer strike. Which you leap over with ease, twisting midair into a right turning kick to the back of his head. Again, however, instead of pushing him in that direction, his neck again stretches. But knowing what's coming you're already moving, flipping back and landing on your hands, springing back up to your feet a few yards back. But it seems Plastic Man's tired of being on the receiving end, lengthening his arm and swinging his hammer arm in a wide arc towards you. Which you easily leap over, closing the distance and driving your knee into his face. But instead of his neck stretching, this time his entire face just distorts with the blow. Wrapping around your knee and leg, trapping you as he brings his other arm up. Realizing what's about to happen you plant your left foot against his torso, but again as you try and kick his strange body simply absorbs the force, your leg sinking halfway up your shin in his skin.“And now for the ring out!” he shouts, inhaling a LOT of air, so much so his entire body inflates, then punches himself in the guts. Causing the air to burst out around you, forcing you back as his body's no longer holding you. Sending you rocketing towards the edge of the ring!“Nice try!” you call, firing a beam from your outstretched hand in the direction you're flying, halting your flight mid-air. Leaving you hanging suspended a moment, before you can touch down. Something he tries to take advantage of, stomping against the ground. Stretching his leg out flat against the ground to you, then his foot shooting straight up at your jaw. “Tch!”cont
>>6287696Once more using the Su Ma you spin, narrowly dodging the first kick. But Plastic Man doesn't stop at one, firing a barrage of kicks at you as you drop. Until you flip, plant your own foot against his and use it as a springboard to launch yourself straight at him.“Wha-!?” is all he has time to say before you've closed in, but instead of swinging a blow soar just over him. Grabbing his head in both hands, front flipping to land on your feet and launching him with everything you've got. Catching him by surprise he doesn't stretch, instead allowing himself to be sent flying. Only to stretch his entire body thin, catching the wind and slowing his backwards flight. “Not bad, space man. But you'll have to do better than that!”You watch as he drops back down to the arena, retaking his original shape.“What else you got?” he asks, smirking confidently.Well? You're durable, but if you can't ring others out, you're useless to us.”“Ring out, huh? I can go for that.” he replies, you watching as he draws his right fist back. Watching his arm coil like a spring, more and more folds until he suddenly punches. His fist flying forward, crossing the distance in an instant. Far faster than you were expecting, barely having time to bring your already-raised left forearm over just enough to block it.“Tch!” you exhale, surprised by the speed of his strike. But after it hits the blow doesn't just stop, you feel the pressure INCREASING! Looking down his arm, seeing more and more of his arm uncoiling, each wave pushing you back. Causing you to start sliding backwards across the arena of your wife's ki despite stopping the initial strike, the stretchy man pushing you back closer and closer towards the edge. “Heh. Not bad.”But kicking off the ground, you leap aside, his fist suddenly zooming well past you. Without your resistance his hand launches past, you keep moving to your right. Circling to his left as his right retracts his right, expanding his left hand into a giant wall. Easily two dozen yards across and half as high and pushing it towards you along the ground with no gap between his hand and the ground. Clearly a technique almost seemingly designed specifically FOR this tournament. But you're not so easily bested, despite knowing it's probably a trap you instantly leap up and over his hand. As you do, his pinkie suddenly raises up like a lasso, stretching out to wrap around your entire body.“No you don't!” he shouts, trying to wrap around you. But you instead raise your hand to the air, firing a weak ki beam from your palm that rockets you to the ground. Dodging his lassoing finger, feet hitting the ground and rushing forward. You can't sit back against him, he's got too many ways to ring someone out with his powers! You see his weakness, and that's getting in close. Letting him have a second to get creative with his powers spells doom! But before you can close in, he suddenly turns his right into another wall, you hearing the rush of wind as he's pulling his left back. Trying to sandwich you between them now!“No choice! Piercing Fist!” you roar, gathering your ki and charging forward. Swinging your ki-clad fist towards his outstretched hand.cont
>>6287751Your attack slams into his hand and easily pierces straight through, the spiraling of your energy shredding his hand and clearing you an opening to dash through. Only for Plastic Man to OPEN his torso, stretching around your lunging body. Without flight, you're unable to stop, shooting straight through his body. Ending the attack, flipping forward and landing on your heels. Sliding to a stop, turning to face Plastic Man as his body returns to its more 'normal' proportions.“Ow. But his feet remain planted on the ground as his legs stretch longer and longer, his torso going out over the edge of the stage by several yards. But, as you do, his legs grow, quickly wrapping around your arms and torso. Wrapping you up in his body as he pulls the rest of him back to you, trying to restrain you.“Damn, you're strong!” he shouts as you strain against his binding hold, his grip surprisingly strong despite the power gap between the two of you. “Ghhh! Trying to fully engulf you, so you have no choice. “HAAAA!!”And with a roar fire an Explosive Wave, blasting him off you. Not tearing him apart, but stretching his body out in all directions from you as your energy blasts him back. With a growl you make another Piercing Fist, punching straight through his body as he snaps back into shape around the spot you'd been as you land. For a split-second you'd considered trying to combine your Juyo with the Infinite Arm Fist, but your instincts are screaming at you to MOVE. And so you do, focusing on this stretchy man's ki, and teleporting directly behind him. Seeing his mess of writhing arms from the back isn't any less horrifying, but what is is realizing he's ONLY using his arms, despite his entire body being able to stretch? Perhaps that's the limits of what he can consciously control? But, either way, you focus you energy, readying yourself ot attack. And almost as if sensing your own ki his face turns, just in time to eat a heavy right to his jaw aimed for the back of his head.“HRRRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, unleashing the full power of your Juyo technique. Unleashing your full physical power in a barrage of hits to his face and back. Landing hundreds of blows in an instant, each strike battering and distorting his body. Within a second you've hit him well over a thousand times, but as you strike his body loses its consistency. To your shock, as you keep warping his body, his body seems to lose its ability to maintain shape.“Gaaaaaah! I'm meeeeeeeeltiiiiiiiiiiing!” he exclaims as he's seemingly 'melting' under your assault. Body losing its shape more and more as your fists slam into him over and over. You watch as he continues to turn to a puddle, his arms collapsing to the ground as well. But as his puddle starts forming larger and larger, you know he's not done, and leap back from him. However, the moment you touch down, his puddle rapidly expands, stretching out in all directions across the arena. In a panic you leap straight into the air as Plastic Man, now having fully liquefied, spreads over the entire surface of the arena.“What?!” you exclaim, stunned. But then you both look over the gathered aliens, and realize that it's a moot point. You then turn to your wife, who nods. “Yeah. He'll do.”You then turn back to Plastic Man, offering your hand again.“Plastic Man. I'd like to welcome you to the Seventh Universe's team for the Tournament of Power.” you say, the man accepting by taking your hand in his own.“Fate of the universe at stake, how can I say no?” he asks, then adds, stretching comically towards you and covering his mouth with his hand, stage whispering. “Honestly, surprised you picked me over Superman. Especially if they're allowed to fuse with those Potara again. “But we all have to do our best. Speaking of, Ubo. Even if not to the same extent, such powers will prove invaluable. Keeping our allies inside the ring will be our key to victory, having someone able to catch our team even so far out will be quite useful.”“I agree. This 'Plastic Man' could prove quite the valuable asset in this tournament.” Kars continues. “If you're asking if there's another to recruit before returning, let's see. Karn, Meloka, Freeza, Cooler, Ginyu, Caulifla, Chilli, and now Plastic Man. Other candidates we have to participate, to fill the other slots are your son Broly, that one magic wielder Kazuma, and Cooler's cousin Arctus. Do you know any others who could prove valuable?”“What about that one you just fought? Raditz, wasn't it? King Cold asks. “Surely he retained that power of the transformations he put on display, and with his family revived, surely he'll want to fight to protect this universe. After all, being equivalent to your daughter's no small feat.”“True. And, speaking of, perhaps she knows other fighters who work for Vox who might be good fits as well?” Kars adds in. “Or, perhaps some of your students will wish to participate?”And as you consider all of this, you realize that you're spoiled for choice. You have Raditz and your son Broly, both of who have touched power beyond Primal to ask if you need more power, Chilli to ask if you need allies with magic from his planet, professional arena fighters from Chaya's end, you're spoiled for choices. Which is a wonderful feeling, having too many skilled and powerful allies to bring them all along for this battle. The Tournament of Power better watch out, because the Seventh Universe is going to have the greatest team there is!-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 paused-
>>6287985And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoy the battle with Plastic Man? Surprised how long he was able to keep up, and just how tricky a foe he can be to pin down? Are you ready to fill the last two spots in your roster, and curious who else you have to choose from? Will your team have more sauce than the canon Universe Seven team, or is All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues in 12 hours at noon EST!
>>6287991>curious who else you have to choose from?I recommend one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Surely they would like to step in if some watermelon-headed dweeb-child god is trying to destroy everything before they get their call to action. And one other man amongst manly menHonorable mention to Kazuma Kiryu, another bad dude who doesn't afraid of anything and always pulls through.
>>6287991>And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoy the battle with Plastic Man?It's always a treat when you see something new. We've seen squash and stretch before, but definitely not to this degree. I hope Pat has no hard feelings about us frying him just to win a fight by the way. It's probably not as bad as the time he got frozen and smashed, but still.>Surprised how long he was able to keep up, and just how tricky a foe he can be to pin down?He definitely had an answer for every conventional tactic and then some. You really gotta rack your brain to beat a guy like that.>Are you ready to fill the last two spots in your roster, and curious who else you have to choose from?Reminds me of the good old days, hopping around the Galaxy and getting to rub elbows with the biggest and baddest from all over. Kinda makes me wonder about how our old business partners and brothers in arms are doing.>Will your team have more sauce than the canon Universe Seven team? Our team is made up of bona fide heroes, conquerors, gods, godslayers, immortals (and a hopefully a cyborg or two) from all over creation. This isn't to throw shade on the canonical team Universe 7 fielded, but they were FAR from what they could have been in that timeline.
>>6287991Plas is the goat for a reason. What is the JL's reaction to Karn wailing on Plas anyways? Did Flash go grab everyone popcorn? Are the ladies chatting with Meloka?
>>6288022I imagine those who stayed to watch Plastic Man shrug off world-shattering blows for the umpteenth time were pretty surprised by the light show we put on at the end there.
>>6288004He was quite surprised by the lightning, but could tell something bad was coming. He didn't take it personally, you hit him with the equivalent of fork in electrical socket as far as damage. Painful, but not seriously damaging. He's most useful when fighting againsg less creative opponents, who can't figure out counters to his wacky bullshit. There are several allies you can reach out to.Canon U7 lost the sauce by taking a post cell Tien over waking Buu. But I know why he was written out.>>6288022Yes.Shock. All around. Those who underestimated Plastic Man and seeing what he just went through will be shocked. Meloka was reffing the fight.>>6288028The alien conqueror who shoots energy beams ALSO being able to throw lightning was a surprise nobody saw coming.
I wasn't too sure of this guy at first but now I'm pretty glad we reached put to recruit him. He's not nearly as fragile as his powerlevel suggests, and he can think and react quickly with some crazy technique on the fly. Stage control is pretty huge too, don't think that many teams could boast a feat like that. And while I doubt he can go punch for punch with the big boys, the peanut gallery hardly poses a threat with his abilities and can really throw a wrench in the enemy team's formations. I know in my SOUL that he's gonna be an absolute riot in the audience and Zeno would eat up his quips and shapeshifting. Could he handle being a potential favorite of the God of gods? We'll have to see.>>6288004>This isn't to throw shade on the canonical team Universe 7 fielded, but they were FAR from what they could have been in that timeline.Even though it was the Goku & Vegeta show without a doubt, the team they ended up with was less than desirable. Gohan and Piccolo and the Androids are nice, but no shade to Roshi, but he was already retired since Z. Seemed kind of bizarre that Yamcha was snubbed in the same breath. The cowards should've made Pikkon canon.

I just had a thought. Everyone focuses on Karn, but is there a chance that Meloka will achieve Ultra Instinct during the tournament?
>>6288156It's unlikely. You see, Ultra Instinct isn't just another unga bunga form, but its a divine state that requires a certain mindset and skills above all else. Meloka's build and fighting style are the opposite of UI's philosophy. She's all about controlling the battlefield and the pace of her opponent through precise and overwhelming ranged pressure from deadly, calculated attacks. Ultra Instinct is letting your body do the fighting by emptying your mind of all other unnecessary thoughts. It simply isn't the same. If anything, she's more likely to reach Ultra Ego than Instinct.
>>6288105He's good. Not strong enough to tangle with someone like Darkseid and win, but durable enough to be reliable protection from ring outs.Perhaps Baba could only bring one back at a time during the 24 hour window?>>6288153Plas was near Question for a time, and now has some of those ponderings stuck in his head.Glad you enjoyed. This arc's going to be so much fun.>>6288156No. She tried, and understands in theory. But can't relinquish control.>>6288181Yes. She's not built for it, mentally.
>>6287991I mean our team will definitly have more sauce then the canon Team U7, but thats not hard to do. I'm more worried about Jiren, if Amazo gets cause by U3, SS3 Kefla if they get Jrs Energy Gimmick, or Hit going full Stealth Fighter.Though I do still want to ask the Justice League about a potential Moro Energy Absorbtion Counter for Chilli before we go.
SOON
>>6288255I'm certain that by now Meloka, Chaya, and us could reliably thrash Kefla's ass coming in fresh, and I'm guessing (hoping) that Freeza will be around or equal to Jiren's resting power level from his intense training with Beerus and that 4 months of training with Buu Ginyu, the ULTIMATE punching bag. It's Moro and Hit that I'm pretty dodgy about, since we never really BEAT Hit and Moro can absorb energy discreetely and scarily fast. The longer he's in the ring, the more power he'll collect, but we'd be in the long haul picking at him first, especially when there's gonna be a horde of cannon fodder gunning for us if U9's propaganda is that successful.
>>6287985“Well, we have myself, Freeza, Cooler, and Caulifla all going in with Stands. Captain Ginyu and Caulifla with healing powers, Plastic Man and Ginyu to keep our allies from falling out-of-bounds.” you reply after adding Meloka to the telepathic conversation, all of which happened in the time it took her to blink. “In terms of raw power, we have powerhouses plenty, though Freeza may be the strongest of us, once he leaves the Time Chamber.”“We have plenty of strength, what we need now is to cover weaknesses in our strategy. Holes in our abilities others can exploit.” Kars says thoughtfully. “Magic seems to be our current biggest weakness, as we have only one fighter who can properly deal with magic. That being Chilli.”“Magic could be a deciding factor. Perhaps we should ask him. And someone should probably also ask Caulifla, make sure she can actually participate.” Meloka says, you getting the feeling she's specifically calling upon you here to do so. “What else?”“We have a wide variety of Stand abilities, although Karn's is down, that doesn't mean he can't still perceive them. Which is something most who aren't wielders cannot do.” King Cold adds. “Speaking of, doesn't the new Arbiter have a Stand?”“Yes, but it isn't a combat ability, best I could tell.” you reply. “Maybe one of his people has one, but there's no guarantee they'd be strong enough to fight.”“Seems there is plenty left to do. So, Karn, where will you start?” Kars asks you directly. You feeling everyone's attention on you, waiting to see which course you'll take.Well?>Reach out to Raditz and ask to talk, explain the situation and if he'd be willing to join you all in the battle for the universe's continuation>Teleport to Caulifla, ask her in person if she'd join this Tournament of Power and fight for the universe>You can't have too much power, reach out to Broly and ask if he'll join as well. See you all soon again.”“We'll be waiting!” Plastic Man says, giving you two thumbs up as you raise your right hand to your forehead, reaching out to your tallest daughter.“Caulifla, are you busy?” you ask, thinking to your third-born daughter. “We need to talk.”“Of course. What is it Dad?” she asks, you focusing on her ki through the link. Meloka grabs onto you, and in a blink you leave Ubo's adoptive home behind. Reappearing on New Salda, down in the depths of the M'lurnian Ruins. In somewhere you've not seen before, the light of your daughter's golden hair and aura illuminating the strange room. The walls seem almost melted, distorted as she and her ever-present friend Lottus are looking around. “Dad? Mom? Must be serious then, if you're coming to talk in person.”And so you quickly fill her in on the tournament as well, the rules and where it shall take place in. Telling her of the team you've already gathered, before holding your hand out to her.“I'd like you to join us as well, kiddo. Between your strength and healing, you'll be an invaluable member of our team to ensure we all survive this.”“Universes are erased if they lose. Damn.” she says, shaking her head. “Of course, I'll be there. If they're allowing gods to fight though, shouldn't you bring Broly along as well? Having more wielders of the Berserker Soul could be an advantage.”“Maybe. I have to talk with him first. We have eight fighters already, now, including you. We have two open spots that need to be filled.”“I'll stay here. While I would love to fight for the universe, to be one of it's protectors, I simply lack the power.” Lottus says, you all looking to him. He then suddenly Ascends, golden aura blazing, sparks crackling around his aura as his power increases a hundredfold. “But with this level of power, I'm simply not strong enough to be an asset. Instead I'll stay back, and taking care of everyone as you would while you're gone. That way you don't have to worry about all of us, and can focus on the tournament.”cont
>>6288327Lottus and Caulifla share a smile, your daughter walking over and wrapping him in her arms. Pressing his face to her chest, the much shorter man wrapping his arms around her middle.“Thank you Lottus. That means a lot.” your daughter tells him, then without letting go turns to you. “Forty hours, right?”“Just under. Went out recruiting a bit before coming to you, and that match with Plastic Man ate up some time. But once we figure out our team, we'll have to figure out the time chamber schedule. Everyone gets eight hours, or four months in there to train. But with Chaya having already gone twice, we do have one open spot for someone. TO either grab someone not participating, or to double-up one person's training.”“I see. Well, when you figure it out, let me know. Just give me a head's up, that'll give me time to wrap things up and get out if I'm down here without wasting time.”“Of course kiddo. And thanks. I have a feeling you're going to be one of our most important fighters.” you tell her, before thinking on who to visit next, who to speak with about filling the last two slots.Well? His Saiyans got spanked both times despite becoming way stronger for Round 2, his Namekians got HARD countered by a technique more than one fighter on our side has, he knows without a doubt that the only fighter worth a damn (Hit) can get stalled out and overwhelmed while the rest of his team eats shit, and I'm pretty sure he benched those shitters Botamo and Frost for the 8v8 runback. >>6289752He talks about the fruit here >>6284476>>6289862While he could probably do that with little difficulty, I imagine he might also opt for planting a new tree on an undeveloped or uninhabited planet anyways simply so he doesn't have to deal with Shin and Kibito asking questions.
>>6289873I completely forgot that he was going to use that. Would it give *that* much of a boost though? Back when Bardock was chugging them down he was only about twice our base pl, and a single fruit gave Turles in that one movie a pretty good boost, but nothing as extreme as the power we wield right now.
>>6289876Even if it's only something like a 25% increase to our base powerlevel, that's still nothing to sneeze at. Besides, the fate of the Universe is at stake here, so there's no real harm in stacking every advantage we can get, big or small.
>>6289879guess you're right. there's no crazy side effects, correct? won't go crazy or blow up if we transform the wrong way or nothing, right?
>>6289890So long as they were grown from a healthy tree and we don't eat too many in a short span of time, I think we should be fine...unless Kars planted the tree on the Makyo Star or something. But surely he wouldn't do something so out of left field.
You know, for all the stretchy fellas out there that we could've gotten, I'm glad it was Plastic Man and not Reed Richards. The other guy is too serious to play off his horrifying physiology as a joke, so when he does shit like this its even more disturbing.
>>6290033Smartest man in the world yet somehow one of the least inventive or emotionally intelligent. I have no idea what Sue sees in him.
>>6290039>I have no idea what Sue sees in him.Well they called him Mister Fantastic in college too.
Aw fuck, I just realized something we need to get sorted before the ToP starts. What's gonna be our entrance music?I'm sure Chaya has something picked out already, but still.

>>6289718Was in the Kai realm, no need to worry. And it produces far better fruit there, than in mortal trees.>>6289752>spoilerI appreciate being a consideration.>>6289873Nah, his explanation was simple. "I'm going down there and we're going to come up with a WINNING strategy, which involves this fruit.">>6289876>*that* muchNo. But every bit helps.>>6290039>what Sue sees in himtentacle fetish probably.>>6290061>musicYou don't worry about that. If anyone's rocking music it'll be Chaya.
>>6289023>but with the writers they had I have little hope for anyone who got the Hulk roleman I miss avengers earth mightiest heroes. that version of hulk was peak. sucks that the show got canceled so they could make a more "mcu accurate" show.
>>6290169>replacing good shows with corposlopI will never forgive hollyweird.
>>6290205And it always gets hollyweirder. I don't even recognize the coal they're putting out today. The last MCU movie I saw was Thor: Love and Thunder or something like that and it was dogshit, I don't remember a single thing from that movie
>>6290296I couldn't stomach any more after Thor Ragnarok. They butchered like three different storylines with that one. Haven't touched a single Marvel movie (or series) since. You're a stronger man than me lmao
-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 Epilogue-AGE 759, PLANET RENASCOR“Byeeee everyone! See you tomorrow!” you say, waving both hands overhead to your friends and classmates as you all leave school for the day. Before taking to the air, leaving Red Prison behind and flying back up to your home. Flying up out of the valley, you wave to the different villagers you pass, both the other Crimson Demons and other beings just passing through or here on business You wave to your auntie Yunyun, who isn't actually your aunt as she walks hand-in-hand with that Kazuma through the village, to Arue, Shikobei, Soketto, Sakiberii, and everyone else you pass. Leaving the village behind as you fly home. Soaring through the sky, you land on the roof, looking out over the mountain over the other side, down to where you can still kind of see the crater Grandpa'd made at your birthday that year. Overgrown with grass now, and pockmarked by countless other craters from others using the area to test their spells. You look out over it a while before going to the door, opening it and heading inside.“Dad, I'm home!” you call out as you walk down from the roof into his private study and workshop. Peering around the corner curiously, but cautiously, just in case he's got something dangerous. Only to find him sitting at his desk, two crystal sculptures with lines and lines of glowing text floating in the air around them both. “Dad?”“Oh, home already kiddo?” he asks you, turning from them to you, smiling. He looks as tired as ever, as he has ever since he beat Death and woke up from dying. But you see his smile's warm and happy, eyes sparkling bright and know he's okay and not really tired. Just looks that way. “How was school?”“Great! I answered every question on Teacher Pucchin's surprise pop quiz correctly!” you exclaim proudly, puffing out your chest. “Even got the practical spell theory right!”“Well well, look at you. You'll be an Archwizard in no time.” your dad says, standing up and going to you, wrapping you in his arms as he lifts you up off your feet. Spinning you around in a circle once as you giggle happily. “Good thing you inherited your mother's brains.”
>>6290556You are Meloka Wolbach: daughter of the Crystal Sage Chilli and Explosion Master Megumin, Super Saiyan, student of the Crimson Demon Village's Red Prison, and one day you're going to be an Archwizard too, just like your parents. But as your dad sets you down, your eyes turn to the project he'd been working on, the two crystal sculptures and the text. Realizing after quickly scanning them that they're a list of powers and abilities. And that the sculptures are of two of your dad's friends and allies here. The big skeleton man Ainz Ooal Gown, leader of Nazarick, and the blue slime Rimuru Tempest, leader of the Jura Tempest Federation.“Hmmm.” you say while looking over the notes your father's taken, your brows furrowing while glancing back and forth. Realizing that he's actually comparing them against one another. Looking back and forth, back and forth, you see the pros and cons of each listed, and several mentions of 'ring outs' in his words, but even with all the context you can find, can't understand the true meaning behind his work. So, you turn back to your father inquisitively.“Why are you comparing them? Are they fighting?” you ask, your father chuckling and shaking his head. With a glance at the table, between them rises another sculpture of crystal. At first it looks like a top, with a long handle protruding up from the middle. But as you look at it's shape, realize it wouldn't spin correctly. No, this has to be something else. But before you can ask, your father speaks up.“There's going to be a tournament soon, in just over a day.” your father says calmly. Almost too calmly, like he's trying to keep you from being worried. “Ten fighters from eight universes will be competing simultaneously, in a battle royal. Last team standing wins. The rules are getting thrown off the ring's a ring out, meaning you're out of the tournament. No killing or outside weapons allowed, and no time travelers, those from other timelines can't participate.”“Oooooooh, so you're trying to pick who'd be better, right?” you ask, following his logic. A,d as he confirms you've already turned back to his notes, going back over everything. Having a better understanding now of why he's comparing them you go back over everything, like it's one of your questions at school. Determined to find the right answer. You can feel your dad watching you, almost hearing his smile as he watches you think. You can do this, you can figure it out.
>>6290558However, after nearly five minutes of going and re going over everything, you're just as stuck as he is. Ainz has a much broader and deeper knowledge over all magic, knowing and mastering well over seven HUNDRED different spells as well as his arcane knowledge and mind for strategy and dueling. Or, what he calls 'player versus player'. But Rimuru's abilities as a slime, allowing him to absorb others' attacks and copy them could prove invaluable as well against the unexpected threats the other universes could present. In the end, as you go over everything your father knows about his allies, the decision ultimately isn't who of the two is better. But which specialty would he rather have along?Going back over their cons, Ainz' Death magic clearly wouldn't be allowed, as killing your opponents is against the rules. But so is your dad's too. And even worse, no outside weapons can be used. Which isn't a problem for Rimuru, who could just make whatever weapon he wanted while there, out of the things he's absorbed. And it's possible that, having absorbed that dragon Veldora, he could potentially summon him as well, giving your universe a plus one fighter advantage. But while Rimuru's strong magically, he can't just eat the other competitors. And while Ainz isn't physically strong, according to your dad his reaction time's far faster. Which could be the difference between staying in the ring or getting knocked off. Especially by someone strong like grandma and grandpa, or auntie Chaya.“So, what do you think kiddo?” he asks you thoughtfully. “Who would you take along, were it you?”“Hmmm. I think...” you say, voice trailing off as another thought comes to mind. “I got it! Why don't you ask them?”“I-What?” your father asks, looking shocked as he blinks down at you.“You know. Ask them. Call them both over and see what THEY think.” you say, gesturing to the wall of glowing text floating behind the crystalline figures. “They both know what they can do, and have seen grandpa and grandma fight with those Time Patrol jerks showing up and crashing my birthday that time. With the three of you working together you can figure out who will be the best for it.”“You're a genius.” your father says affectionately, leaning down and kissing you on the forehead, before picking you up and setting you on his shoulders as you giggle. “Alright, let's try your idea.”“Really?” you ask, then after a moment puff up your chest. “Hee hee, I'm smart!”
>>6290561“Yes you are. But don't let it get to your head.” he says suddenly leaning back, causing you to almost fall. Flailing your arms, only to realize he's still holding your legs. And when you don't fall, after a moment you giggle again, flying your body back up atop his shoulders as he takes the stairs, exiting his study and standing atop your home. Looking out, taking a deep breath before suddenly a pair of crystal arches appear. And through them step the two powerful spell casters, Ainz Ooal Gown and Rimuru Tempest.“So, you seek our assistance in this 'Tournament of Power', do you?” Ainz says, stroking his bony chin in his fingers. “Interesting.”“And only one of us can go, huh?” Rimuru adds, you realizing your dad told them everything telepathically. “Well, I reckon there's only one way to settle this.”“Agreed.” Ainz says, and as one both he and Rimuru leap out away from your home.As the two powerful mages jump your father gestures down to the training ground, and with an exertion of magic watch him conjure a circular arena made with his crystals. A replica of the fighting stage of the Tournament of Power stage with that same central pillar in the middle. However, it is not sized anywhere large enough for eighty combatants. Seems they're going to decide this the old-fashioned way, one-on-one.“Fighters ready?” your father calls out, raising his hand overhead. Both Ainz and Rimuru, neither wielding a weapon tense up, clearly ready to unleash their powers upon one another.“Ready.” Rimuru answers, crouching slightly.“Ready.” Ainz answers, unmoving.“And BEGIN!” your father shouts, swinging his hand down. And so the fight to determine who is joining your father in the upcoming Tournament of Power begins. And as you watch the high-level duel unfold, you feel your determination hardening. You WILL be a powerful Archwizard, you WILL study hard and become just as strong as-! No. You won't be as strong! No, you'll be stronger! Stronger than Ainz and Rimuru, stronger than anyone. Even stronger than your dad, one day! You won't just be AN Archwizard, but the greatest Archwizard of all time!-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 244 Epilogue End-
>>6290563Good to see Chilli remembers the importance of results and data over theory and projections. Also very glad to see little Meloka's own goals and ambitions start to crystalize. If she's anything like her parents or her namesake, she can make it happen too.
>>6290563Our grandbaby is adorable and the smartest ever.
>>6290558>“There's going to be a tournament soon, in just over a day.” your father says calmly. Almost too calmly, like he's trying to keep you from being worried. This line killed me. Oh you sweet babygirl. Thanks again for another epilogue, GD. Sometimes children give us the simplest answers we should've known ages ago.
>>6290570Oh and especially once he starts throwing attacks down as well. They'll be fighting in a battle royale, not one-on-one. The ability to maintain composure, situational awareness, and team play will also come into their tests. She has excellent role models, exemplifying different plateaus. Because she's surrounded by so many greats outside the Crimson Demon Village, her ambitions are so much wider than the scope of being the best in the village.>>6290579She's fantastic. And with her unique mix of adorably cute but also wildly smart thanks to being a Crimson Demon, she can be far smarter and logical than Chaya or any of Karn's own kids were that young. Keeping her ego in check will potentially be her father's greatest challenge.
>>6290611Nice edit. And yes, she's quite intelligent. Already able to pick up on such things despite being only a few years old. She can already recognize when her father's telling her something that he's worried about, but doesn't want to worry her. And, because she's a cinnamon roll just rolls with it, as that's what her daddy wants. And glad you enjoyed. Chilli does have a problem with overthinking. But, considering that's what he does when his family sleeps, something he still rarely feels compelled to do anymore, getting lost in his thoughts happens more often now.
>>6290616>Chili of the lake, what is your wisdom?>Failing to plan is planning to fail.>Karn of the lake, what is your wisdom?>What the fuck are you doing in my bathtub?
>>6290616>But, considering that's what he does when his family sleeps, something he still rarely feels compelled to do anymore, getting lost in his thoughts happens more often nowYeah I've been meaning to ask about that. Is he technically a Death God now or is he a more mundane conduit that Death happens to flow more easily through? Is there no way to restore his natural vitality without purging that Death Magic from him entirely?
>>6290143>Was in the Kai realm, no need to worry. And it produces far better fruit thereAt first I thought he used planets that were supposed to be destroyed by Beerus, but he lazily didn’t do it. Is he technically a Death God now or is he a more mundane conduit that Death happens to flow more easily through? Is there no way to restore his natural vitality without purging that Death Magic from him entirely?I would like to know answers to all of this as well. What is the possibility that Dr Gero from our timeline after Earth’s contact with aliens will attempt to create some kind of perfect bio weapon? Result will be successful but at the same time it will be a hostile organism, so it will be something like Cell in canon? Is learning Instant Transmission without touching the forehead with fingers important for Karn in the Tournament of power or is it something that can wait for another occasion? If Karn's body was falling out the arena could he still teleport back or will this not work under Grand Priest's rules?
>>6290798>I guess there is a chance we will not see Frost thereIt's looking grim for Frost. He didn't show up to the 8v8 we had with U6 a handful of episodes back, he got exposed like in canon, but unlike canon not only are there much stronger fighters on U7's side, but Champa personally witnessed how Freeza makes Frost look like Temu trash by whooping his new and improved super saiyans with zero effort. And GD has confirmed that U6 has a couple of crossovers as well. If, who I think it is, is out there then Botamo and Frost, objectively the weakest links in U6, are absolutely getting the boot in the Tournament of Power. Which means there's nothing stopping Hit from collecting Frost's bounty.>Planting it on a Bretheren Moon could probably backfire in some strange way, but they don’t exist so no worries. That's for Fu to find out in an isolated guinea pig timeline.>What is the possibility that Dr Gero from our timeline after Earth’s contact with aliens will attempt to create some kind of perfect bio weapon? He probably could make one, but he has no burning obsessed hatred of Son Goku or any other enemies to act on it. >If Karn's body was falling out the arena could he still teleport back or will this not work under Grand Priest's rules? That's a really good question...

Wonder if someone could take advantage of that information.
>>6290829>His bounty is claimedOh he's dead dead, did Hit collect or did Champa execute him?
>>6290850the>bountymakes it pretty obvious considering canon but its funnier to think Champa told Hit to do that
