Grand Zen-Oh, the omni king and ruler of the omniverse has declared there will be a massive tournament to be held in his honor. A grand affair between several universes, each battling it out for the very right to exist. And at the forefront of this grand spectacle will be the Saiyans of Universe 7, who Grand Zen-Oh has grown fond of watching battle. Twenty eight years ago, the Saiyan race were annexed into the PTO as just another race, one of many sent to conquer other worlds. Now, the Saiyans are widely regarded as the strongest warrior race in the entire Seventh Universe, defenders of the PTO led by their strongest, the “Dragon of New Salda” General Karn and his family. You the players will (most often) control Karn. A man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to well over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the best hope for his universe's continued survival. No one warrior can hope to battle eight other universes' strongest fighters alone and hope to prevail, one man's power and skill won't be enough to overcome the looming threat of extermination. But this coming battle will be the ultimate test of how you've lived your life until now, the choices you made not only for yourself, but for the fate of your entire universe.Character sheets and other info: https://controlc.com/46ec566dhttps://pastebin.com/u/GrandDragonQMArchive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=Saiyan+Conqueror+QuestHelp fund quest art commissions and get exclusive side stories as well as artwork by joining the patreon for only $1/month at https://www.patreon.com/GrandDragonQMQuest rules are as follows(unless otherwise noted):>30 minute vote times>Pick ONLY ONE option when voting>Dice rolls are all best of three correctly-rolled dice>At ten minutes past your previous roll, and there are not yet enough rolls, you may roll an additional roll>Crits are 100 on a d100>99s or paired rolls may net you extra bonuses>Crit fails are a 1/100 with no passing rolls, or if two 1s are rolled regardless of the third>Write-ins are both allowed and encouraged, but OOC options will be ignored>If your goal is simply to troll, at least put in enough effort to make it funny>Have funSCQ will usually start on Saturdays at noon Eastern Standard Time, and run throughout the weekend. >>6305739Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:Upon emerging from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Freeza, Karn went with his wife to Dreadzone. Healing those of the audience who were injured before returning with Caulifla to the Lookout. Talking to Mr. Popo about what lies beyond reality and Caulifla's dreams before returning home. Where, after training his students for the day, Karn and Meloka tracked down an assassin sent to eliminate them from the Ninth Universe. Whereupon Karn was hit by the Hakai gifted to the assassin leader, only to take control of that energy, claiming it for his own and slaughtering the assassins except for the leader. Letting him tell his master Sidra, Destroyer God of the Ninth Universe what happened. And as we rejoin Karn, you and your wife are kissing one another standing atop the bodies of your slain foes as King Vegeta arrives.“Karn! Meloka! What is going-!?” the king shouts as he appears over the clearing. But his voice trails off, seeing the hundreds of bodies. “What the hell...?”“Ah, King Vegeta. Seems we had some... Uninvited guests, from the Ninth Universe.” you tell him, ending the kiss with your wife and turning your head up towards him. “But we took care of them.”“All but that one.” your wife corrects, turning to Vegeta as well. “To tell the Destroyer his minions failed.”“Destroyer...? You mean-?!” he starts, you nodding.“Yeah. Even sent some of his Hakai with their leader, to try and erase me from existence.” you reply, still feeling that energy contained deep within by your Berserker Soul. “But I survived. Took that power, still holding onto it for now. Just in case.”“Right.” he answers, not questioning how you overpowered destruction itself. “Let the forest have these bastards, good to know you're- Wait, have you checked on everyone else?”“Everyo-SHIT!” you exclaim, realizing that if you were targeted, others may have been too!“I didn't even consider...” Meloka mumbles, everyone immediately realizing the severity of the situation.Who do you check in on first?>Chaya>Broly>Chilli>Freeza>Caulifla>Other(write in)?

I'm away from my PC right now, but you guys DO realize Chaya is INJURED right now, right? I just hope Meloka has the foresight to split up with IT.

Can you hear me?”“Dad? What's wrong?” she replies, immediately picking up on your worry. So you tell her what just happened, asking if she's okay. To which you can feel her relief. “Don't worry, nobody's come after me. What about Chaya? She's the one the other gods blame, right?”“Your mother's reaching out to her now. We're checking on everyone. If it happened to us, could happen to everyone.” you answer. “Keep your guard up, and don't hesitate to call if something's suspicious, okay?”“Got it. We won't let them win.” your daughter answers, and you both end the link.“Chaya's okay, no one's tried to come after her.” your wife says first, then King Vegeta IV speaks.“Lord Freeza has encountered no imminent threats as well.” he says, brows furrowing. “For whatever reason, it seems only you were targeted.”“Maybe. Let's check with everyone else as well, aside from Cooler and Ginyu in the Time Chamber.” you reply, then after a moment's consideration continue. “But I'll check in with Mr. Popo, make sure no one's trying to seal them inside like those Zamasu tried with me and Chaya.”For the next minute the three of you reach out to everyone, and sure enough only you had come under attack. Which, while encouraging, is also surprising. You were the only one the assassins tried to attack.“Hmmm. Interesting.” King Vegeta IV says, once it's been realized. “Perhaps there are other forces at work here?”“Maybe. But I don't think it was Chronoa.” you say, catching him up on what happened in the time chamber. And how Chronoa and Mechikabura, as far as you can tell, have put aside their differences for now to try and face this imminent threat. “Unless this was something put in motion before.”“Hard to say.” your king answers. “But what matters is that they were unsuccessful.”“Of course they were. Everyone knows my Karn can't be snuck up on.” your wife answers him with a smirk. “Bastard thought he could run and hide from me, too. At least the Ninth Universe isn't going to be much a threat in the tournament. If they had an assassin like the Sixth's Hit, I'm sure they'd have sent him instead.”“Good point.” you reply, remembering your fights with the dangerous assassin. Interesting.” you reply, reaching out telepathically. Not to Broly, but to his wife Kori. Knowing he might be in intensive training at the moment, and not necessarily wanting to interrupt. “Kori? This is Karn, is everything okay?”“Oh, hello Karn. I take it your training went well?” she replies cheerily. But then, sensing your emotions continues. “We're fine here, did-did something happen?”“Meloka and I were attacked by assassins, wanted to make sure everyone's fine.” you reply. “But also, want to check in with Broly. Is he available, or is he sequestered in his training?”“Assassins? Well, I almost feel sorry for them.” she replies. “And yes, he's fine. Training with Elder Pybara at the moment. Teleporting from New Salda to Planet Yardrat, appearing beside the very pregnant Kori as she's sitting beside the training field. Looking out over the spike pit, where you see your eldest adoptive son meditating atop one. His tail wrapped around the spike, first two fingers pressed together with his eyes closed. Transformed, but clearly working on controlling his Berserker powers. And as you appear, he speaks up. No doubt sensing your arrival.“Mom. Dad.” he replies, you seeing Elder Pybara nearby as well, a calm, serene smile on his face. “Everything okay?”“Just fine, your father and I just handled a few hundred assassins, nothing big.” your wife replies before you can, looking over your son wearing Yardratian clothes despite being transformed. “Still here, huh?”“Yeah. Until I can better control it, better control of myself, I need to keep training.” he answers calmly, despite the vein bulging on his forehead a moment, fingers trembling. “I can't lose control like that again.”cont
>>6305844“You didn't lose control, that monster took control from you.” Kori answers him, almost as if they've had this argument several times already. “It wasn't your fault.”“My fault or not, I need to be stronger. Need to keep that power from escaping again, from threatening everyone and everything I love. Especially since you're due date is fast-approaching, I can't afford to let this anger slip for even a moment.”You realize that he still blames himself for what happened when his body was under that Tuffle parasite's control, how control of his body was stripped from both himself and the parasite and he nearly killed you. >>6305864I would actually like to have a couple dozen beers with Broly and throw hands for a little bit after everything's said and done...provided we win the ToP of course.
>>6305845Looking between the two of them, you suddenly understand. More than your son at the moment, as you remember back to the times your wife would come to you desperate for you to not throw yourself into battle. Seems she also harbors such deep feelings, but not about him fighting. But about spending more of his time with her. So, you decide to speak up, to try and step in before their feelings overflow into resentment or anger.“And what about you?” you ask, turning fully to Koriand'r. “What is it that you want?”“Me?” she replies, a bit surprised by your straightforwardness. “I...I want to spend time with my husband before the baby's born.”She says, and from the corner of your eye, you can almost see the sudden focus from your son, the intensity with which he takes her answer in. Clearly thinking things over, eyes looking back and forth behind his eyelids.“I just want to spend time more time with my husband. With you.” she says, turning from you to him. Broly's eyes opening as he meets her eyes. “Come on Broly. Let's go home.”“I...” he starts, voice trailing off. Looking around uncertainly, from her to you to Meloka and to Elder Pybara. Who gives your son a small nod before speaking.“You should spend some time with your family.” the elder says gently. “Your spiritual balance has been restored, after that monster took control of your body. For now, take some time to be with your kin. Once your child is born, and once you're ready, you can return to continue your training. I shall be here.”“I...y... Very well. Thank you, everyone.” Broly says, unfurling his tail and leaping down, landing beside his sitting wife, gently picking her up in his arms. “Are you ready to go?”“Always.” she says to him with a smile, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning up, kissing him. She then turns to you, sending you a quick telepathic, “Thank you.”“No problem.” you reply to her, also telepathically before addressing your son. “Once this tournament's over, if you want, I might be able to help you. Eyes widening in shock, or maybe terror, jaw dropping open slightly as the diminutive elder freezes in place.“Elder Pybara? Is everything okay?” you ask him, suddenly worried. Blinking several times, looking around in shock a moment. As if he'd forgotten where he is. “There you are. Are you alright?”“What is that?” he asks you audibly, trembling as he reaches out with a finger. Pointing at your chest, where you can still feel the Ninth Universe's Destroyer's Hakai held subdued inside you. “What have you done?”“That was a gift from the Ninth Universe's Destroyer God, Sidra. He thought that would be enough Destruction to erase ME from existence.” you reply, hitting your chest with your fist once. “But he clearly underestimated me.”“You... Subdued Destruction?” he says, eyes widening once more. “That's... Not possible. That energy IS destruction manifest, the bane of existence itself! It shouldn't be possible for a mortal to even touch such power, much less subdue it like you have.”“Well, it's not the first time I've faced Hakai. Universe 6's Destroyer tried as well.” you reply with a chuckle, despite his clear shock. “And those time travelers too, they tried it awhile back. Destruction's powerful, but my power's almost purpose-built to counter the strengths of the gods.”“Very. If you can resist Destruction itself, I don't think there's anything that CAN beat you.” he replies, genuinely impressed. But as he says this, you remember back to what happened in the Time Chamber. And, for a moment, you see it again. The crack you'd torn through reality, peering out into the void of nothing beyond and sensing that same being out there. Shaking your head, you dispel the memory, returning to the present.“No. There are things beyond the gods. Beings I'm not strong enough to fight. Yet. But I'm not slowing down anytime soon.” you tell him seriously. “I'm still getting stronger.”“Beyond the gods...?” Elder Pybara says, voice trailing off in wonder. “Well, I wish you the best of luck, Karn. >>6305953“Thank you for your help.” you tell him again, reaching out once more telepathically. This time to none other than Towa, reaching out with a thought. “Towa, can you hear me? We need to talk.”“Karn? Right, come over.” she replies almost instantly. “I've been expecting you.”Which is a bit concerning, leaving you wondering which issue she wants to address. But, with a thought, focusing on her ki through the telepathic link, you and Meloka teleport away. Leaving Planet Yardrat behind via Instant Transmission, the world around you instantly changing from the alien world to Towa's Lab. Where she's seated before her computers, turning away just as you arrive.“There you are.” she says, your wife's grip tightening for just a moment. Towa, with a couple taps of the keyboard project several images, showing what you presume to be different timelines. And what you notice immediately is this has nothing to do with what lies outside reality, but with the beings Amazo showed you before you went into the Room of Spirit and Time. Most notably, Universe 11's strongest, Jiren. You see him battling an alternate timeline version of Chaya, who teleports both of them to the stands. You see another you, wielding the power of Blue against him, being completely dominated. You also see Bardo-, no, Kakarot fighting him with that power the Time Patrol version of himself used, Ultra Instinct. Fighting on par with the giant Grey, the two fighting around the destroyed remains of the ring. “I've done a bit of digging for the tournament, and have a few of the strategies that proved most effective against him.”“We can get into that in a bit. First, there's something... Else, we need to talk about.” you tell her, Towa raising a brow. Which tells you that Mechikabura hasn't been informing people of what happened. So, you don't share it with her telepathically, lest she collapse as Freeza had seeing beyond reality in person. But you tell her about what happened. How your attack tore through reality, how something tried to get through, only for Chronoa of all beings to close the tear. Mechikabura and her reaching what appeared to be a truce before leaving together. And as you tell her everything, carefully watch her expression change. From curiosity, to shock, to fear, to determined resolve.“I see. Now I think I understand...” Towa says, turning back to her computer, fingers flying over the keys as her eyes flit from screen to screen. You can't keep up with what she's looking at. “Now it makes sense.”cont
>>6305992“She was erasing realities to try and starve this entity out. If it consumes realities to survive, then depriving it of realities to consume should start starving it.” Towa continues, raising a hand to her chin thoughtfully. “But if she's been doing this for so long, and it still remains, then there's no doubt that starving it either isn't or hasn't worked.”“What is that?” Meloka asks, pointing at one of the screens. Towa turns, following her gaze.“Ah, that's Hadar. If what Karn overheard from Mechikabura and Towa's conversation is true, this is the entity that would have evolved into the beast that could survive the entire reality being unwritten.” Towa says as you look at what is a blood-red star, barely glowing. Yet, even through the image on the screen, you can almost feel the hunger from it. Only to watch as it draws near a planet and dark tendrils, dark even against the void of space lash out from it, grabbing the planet and drawing the smaller entity into itself. Consuming that planet whole, devouring it near-instantly. “How it could survive is beyond me, perhaps the wrong being or beings were consumed by it near the end of the original timeline? Who knows what the original reality looked like, before her erasure of it all.”A moment of silence hangs over you all before she hskaes her head, continuing.“Regardless, the Tournament of Power is our most pressing issue. Eldritch entities beyond understanding and reality aren't here yet, but there's only thirteen and a half hours until the Tournament of Power begins. And if we lose, we'll all be completely erased anyways. So, let's focus on this first.”“Right. So, you were showing us Jiren?” you ask, Towa nodding and bringing back the display she'd had before. Showing you several different battles against the Grey. However, one thing you notice consistently, is how much he's just holding back. Refusing to fully power up, even when fighting three on one against two Blue Saiyans, one even Beyond Blue and the other with Kaio-Ken. Or the assassin Hit from the Sixth, easily knocking him around without any seeming effort. Only for Hit to trap him in some sort of Time Prison, using his Time Skip to lock Jiren in place in time. Only for him to somehow POWER THROUGH TIME ITSELF, slowly closing the distance and easily besting Hit's last-ditch attack. Sending him from the ring, crossing his arms confidently towards the screen as the attack detonates as if taking a picture.“So, he's the big threat. You think he can beat Moro?” your wife replies, Towa's brows furrowing.cont
>>6305995“If he fought all-out from the start? Yes, easily.” Towa says, you feeling the 'but' coming almost immediately. “But that's not how Jiren likes to fight. He has to hold back SIGNIFICANTLY when around weaker beings to not simply obliterate them when they're too close, forced to keep his power under strict control. And if Moro can significantly absorb power from the other competitors, he might actually get strong enough to overpower Jiren.”“So we have to stop Moro first, without losing enough power to tackle Jiren.” your wife answers, bringing her hand to her chin.“Chilli did say he figured out something to stop Moro's energy drain, said it would work on everyone who tries to absorb another's energy for the tournament.” you interject, but still cross your arms. “But that doesn't mean Moro won't have a way around it.”“Exactly.” Towa replies. “Thankfully, he's not gotten the chance to absorb Seven-Three in this timeline, and the Tenth Universe doesn't have Dragon Balls, so his powers aren't quite as oppressive as they could be. But that's not to say he still won't be a threat.”“Don't worry. I won't lose now.” you tell her confidently. “Both Freeza and I, well. Let's just say we both achieved new power inside the time chamber.”“Oh? Could it be?” she asks, suddenly rising to her feet. Walking over, reaching out and placing her hand on your chest only to recoil in horror, the same look of fear on her face as Elder Pybara had. “WH-!?”“Don't worry, that's from the Ninth's Destroyer God. He tried to assassinate me earlier, sent his minions with some of his Hakai.” you say, Towa's expression shifting. Conflicting emotions war over her face a moment, before suddenly grinning mischeviously.“So, are you going to expose him before Grand Zen-Oh? Save his Hakai and send it back at him? Or, perhaps something else?” she asks, clearly intrigued.Well? >>6305996Your first instinct is to use it on Sidra the moment you see that cowardly so-called god, to erase the Destroyer with his own power. But the more practical side of you wins out, knowing how useful this could be.“I'm going to save this for when I need it. Never know when Destruction could prove useful.” you reply with a smirk. “And because Sidra oh-so graciously gave me his power without trying to erase me himself in person, I was able to tame this power and make it mine.”“Even a sliver of Hakai could destroy even the strongest attack leveled at you, granted that it doesn't resist divine power like your own Berserker strength.” Towa answers with a smirk. But then her eyes widen, snapping her fingers of. “Oh, speaking of resisting gods. The Sixth Universe. Champa's been recruiting from the further corners of his universe. And from what Amazo found, he's found some serious heavy hitters. One is that warrior god Thor, and the other is a monster closer to your Berserker Soul's power.”And as she says this, a new image appears. One where a man faces the giant green beast in the shape of a man, the green monster's fist slams into the smaller man's hammer. The shock wave blasting out, shattering the ground beneath their feet as the two are knocked back. You can feel the power of both warriors, the godly power of the hammer-wielder, and the surprisingly familiar power of the green warrior. His ki feels almost identical to the Berserker Soul's own might, resisting the divine power of the god as the two fight.“Amazo hasn't seen what those two are truly capable of. But each are capable of shaking entire planes of existence. Their clashes can shake the entire Sixth Universe.” she continues. Showing their battles across timelines, different versions of each clashing in various places, as well as each fighting other threats. “Be careful with them, okay? You have to take that creature Hulk out as quick as possible. The longer it's there, the bigger a threat it is. He grows stronger over time.”“Stronger over time?” your wife asks, brows furrowing. “How does it do that?”“I'm not ENTIRELY certain, having not studied the Sixth Universe's unique energy, Gamma.” she answers. “But what I do know is he regenerates from most damage like Ginyu now. And his strength and regeneration both are tied to his anger. The more furious he is, the more dangerous he becomes. And then there's Doom. Don't fight him. Let Chilli take him. I've already told your son about him, and how best to fight that god amongst men. Let him fight it out with magic.”cont
>>6306034“Is this Doom really such a threat?” you ask her, raising a brow. “Seriously?”“He could best both Hulk and Thor, along with their entire alliance by himself.” she answers, eyes deadly serious. “Don't engage him directly unless there's no other choice.”“Alright. I'll see what I can do.” you answer, trading glances with Meloka.“Now, if you two wouldn't mind, I have to make a few... Long-distance calls. Including to Koruza, who hasn't checked in since yesterday.”“Koruza? Where'd he go?” you reply, expanding your ki sense only to realize he's no longer on New Salda. And you get a knot of worry in your guts.“He's on an errand into the Demon Realm, to recover certain... Artifacts that could prove invaluable while you're gone.” she answers, clearly not wanting to say what they are aloud. “Ones that only work on someone with demon blood, but vastly increase their strength and magical prowess, as well as granting limitless stamina and a form of immortality. Dabura lost one, so he is going to return that one. As well as obtain two more, before returning back to this realm. He should be back before you all leave, to see you off for the tournament.”“The Demon Realm, huh?” you reply, wondering what it looks like? And if, perhaps after this Tournament of Power's over, you could visit it some time? “Alright, well, tell him I wish him luck. And that if he needs our help, to not hesitate to ask.”“I'll pass your message along.” Towa replies, standing up from the desk and going over to a circle enscribed on the floor. It lights up with demonic magic the moment she steps inside, a cylinder of dark energy surrounding her. The two of you leave Towa's Lab, exiting the planar door back into your ship with one question on your mind:What now?>Spend the rest of your day relaxing, making sure your body's fully rested for the tournament tomorrow>Head around to your allies you're leaving behind, to check in with them all and make sure they're ready to defend this universe in your stead while you're fighting at the Tournament of Power>Gather your kids and spend the rest of the day with them, of those who want to spend the time with you before it kicks off>Other(write in)?

>>6306037With the tournament to decide the fate of the universe scheduled to start in just over half a day, you know there's only one thing to do. And so, with a thought you reach out. Not to one of your children, not to some of them. But to all of them you can reach. Simultaneously you think to them all, sending the same thought to all your children of this timeline, as well as Marron.“Hey, it's your dad. Before the tournament begins, I'd like to spend time with you all. With everyone who can, I know some of you may be busy.” you think, feeling several minds instantly agreeing to come home. “Tomorrow's going to be one hell of a day, I'd like to be with you all before it happens.”Several replies come immediately, a few like Chilli and Broly answer that they're unable. Chilli sending a brief flash of a city covered in ash, a volcano spewing fire into the sky and a beast emerging from that mountain, while Broly says he and Kori are 'busy'. Chaya replies that she'll be by as soon as she can, as she's dealing with the aftermath of the Yellow Lanterns' attack on Dreadzone and Caulifla says that when she's finished clearing out the invading phantoms she'll do the same. But everyone else sends their affirmations that they're coming, and by the time you've made it outside, within a minute of starting your message to everyone, most of your family is gathered. Full-blooded Saiyan and half-Saiyans both, everyone gathered on the beach. Your children and your alternate timeline granddaughter in one place, bringing a smile to your face.“I thank you all for coming. This... This means a lot.” you tell them all, smiling as you look over your gathered family. At the results of your lifetime of battle, the family you're able to have, the life you've lived. And tomorrow, it's all put to the test. If you have what it takes to prevail, to protect them from the cruel consequences of the Tournament of Power. Only one universe can prevail, while seven are erased completely. Which means you can't afford to lose, no matter what. You'll do whatever it takes to win, to ensure your family survives this Tournament of Power.-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 247 paused-
>>6306060And that's it for tonight, everyone excited that the tournament's finally drawing closer? Ready to see what fighters the other universes have brought, what new surprises await, and if any of them had somehow fed Amazo false info? Curious if any more assassins will try their luck, and how Sidra will react to sensing you're capture of his Hakai? All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues!
>>6306061With this Nakama boost (nakama means closer than even family or some shit, that's what a very reputable journalist translator whateverthefuck told me and they would never ever lie or be stupid as shit I promise) we can't lose.
>>6306061I'm curious as to whether or not Sidra will be smart enough to name Quitella when we come for him. It's probably his only chance at survival at this point.Anyways, I'm glad we have a large enough family to have a proper gathering like this despite our two eldest sons being unable to attend.Meanwhile Jiren is probably meditating on his master's words for the umpteenth time and completely missing the point of them as per usual.God I can't wait to get a chance to dismantle that motherfucker on a philosophical level. Him and the Grand Priest both.
>>6306062Ha>>6306071We'll see what goes down. The Karn vs Jiren philosophy playing out could be quite interesting.
>>6306073I'm also curious to what words Chilli and Doom might exchange. Obviously it'd be a long shot for either of them to let enough slip for a debate to even start, but their views on how to rule would definitely spark a good one.

Hulk is a BIG distraction, so getting to him is easy, but I can't see us having the big green guy to ourselves with Hit most likely on patrol and able to give Ginyu the slip.
>>6306075That it could. Everyone relaxes and enjoys themselves, you smiling as you watch over your family. Enjoying this time with them all, but as you sit by the water, waves lapping near your boots, Marron comes over, sitting down beside you with a troubled look on her face. But she doesn't immediately speak, so you don't pressure her. Waiting until she finds the words to express herself.“I've been thinking... About... About what Chaya told me.” she says, you wondering what happened. “And... She's right. I'm not a fighter. I'm not like her, or you, or the rest of you. I fought because I had to, but, it's not what I want for my life.”“I see. And what is it that you DO want, Marron?” you ask her, your granddaughter's entire posture slumping with a sigh.“That's just it. I've been fighting since I was little, ever since Raditz showed up on Earth when I was four.” she replies, hugging her knees to her chest. “I don't know another way. And we have plenty of rooms, so you can stay long as you want. Talk to different people, see if anything interests you.”“I... Really?” she asks, a hopeful look in her eye. “I can?”“Of course. There's a whole lot to this big ol' universe. But, since you lived your life on mostly one planet, before you just go out and explore, I think it would be best to start a little smaller, talking to the various sentient races out there. Maybe you'll find your calling here, on New Salda, with maybe the scientists or construction crew. Or maybe an otherworldly visitor will inspire you to travel to their world and help them. But whatever you decide to do, we've all got your back.”“Thanks grandpa.” she says, leaning over onto your shoulder, closing her eyes with a deep, relaxed sigh. You sit there with her as your family are gathered, enjoying the rest of the day together before the sun fully goes down and you all head inside. Milha and her girlfriend Darkness return to Chilli's planet, Marron choosing to stay the night as well as everyone settles in. Sleep finds you quickly, the night passing peacefully. But, early in the morning, suddenly you feel something. Eyes snapping open from a dead sleep, you get the unmistakable feeling of being watched. Of someone, something, hunting you. Both Meloka and Towa are sleeping on your arms, but you feel the unmistakable sensation of being hunted. So, you expand your ki sense, and immediately sense a ki you find familiar. Taking a slow, deep breath you gently lift Meloka and Towa off your arms, sneaking out of bed and throwing on a pair of pants as you head outside. And there, standing out in the open, hands in his pockets, is none other than the Sixth Universe's most deadly assassin, Hit.“Hit. Surprised to see you again, before the tournament.” you say casually, but your entire body's on high alert. Ready for the slightest move, to do battle with the assassin should his job today be you. “So, you're here to try and assassinate me too?”“No. I'm here on- Wait, again? Someone tried to assassinate you?” he asks, sounding genuinely surprised. So, you quickly tell him about the Ninth Universe's so-called assassins, to which he scoffs. “Amateurs. No, I'm here on behalf of Lord Champa. He sent me, since he doesn't necessarily want your universe's Destroyer to know he's making an offer. But Champa wants to make a deal.”cont
>>6306286“A deal? And what sort of deal would this be?” you reply, genuinely curious.“A simple non-aggression agreement, between our universes. That, until we're the last two universes left in the Tournament of Power, to not go after each other. To only fight against one another once all the other competitors are bested. And then, whoever wins, uses the Super Dragon Balls to being the other universe back.”“He wants a truce?” you ask, eyes widening in surprise.“That's right. He knows that, fighter for fighter, your universe is stronger than our own. And if we fight one another, you'll take us out. But we'll weaken you all, lowering your chances to win as well. So, instead, we save one another for the end, then with the wish both of our universes will survive this.”You're stunned by the plan, you'd known Champa was a clever, conniving deity, but this is a surprisingly tempting plan. Taking ten fighters out of the equation, especially those even Towa was worried about would greatly increase the chances of your own universe's survival. And, making this Tournament of Power a twenty on sixty does also greatly increase the odds of the Seventh's survival. But can you trust Champa's word on this, that they'll follow through should your universe somehow fall to theirs at the end? Is this a decision you can make by yourself?Well? How do you handle this?>Accept, as long as his universe doesn't go after your own, you'll ensure your fighters don't go after his>Tell him you'll consider it and run it by your universe's lead minds, and when everyone meets for the Tournament you'll directly tell him whether your universe accepts the deal or not>Decline. I'm pretty shocked that this happened, but that shock is also why I'm skeptical. Champa has seen our universe kicking his universe's ass in a 1-on-1 and in a team battle., and the fact that he sent Hit to make sure he doesn't screw up makes me think its really important and a serious offer. I don't think Hit has ever told a lie to us, either. What I think is happening is that this is a plot upon a series of plots. If I were Champa, and I knew that my team was sure to fall at some point in the Tournament of Power, either against U7 or a combination of other universes, I'd convince stronger universes to put the heat on U7 and pick off the weaker ones while having a non-aggression pact with U7, increasing the chances of having the upper hand with my team being fresher than U7's.
>>6306327Not a bad assessment. And he knows that, thanks to the fight between Chaya and Toppo, the other universes have fighters at least on par with her. Who BEAT Hit one-on-one in their last fight. He's fighting to live, not for pride or ego. But only a little ego, not addressing Beerus directly.
>>6306287“I can't accept this unilaterally. I'll have to bring this offer before those in charge.” you tell him seriously. “I'll pitch it to them, put my support behind this plan of your universe as well. It does seem to be a great plan to ensure we all survive.”“I agree, which is why I agreed to deliver the offer.” he replies, hands still casually in his pockets. “This tournament... The stakes are far too high to leave things to chance.”“Yeah.” you reply, the two of you standing there in the early morning dawn, the sun slowly rising behind the assassin. Neither of you saying anything, perhaps Hit is sizing you up.“I'll take my leave, to let you discuss this with your superiors.” Hit says, turning his back on you, then looking back over his shoulder. “But, for what it's worth, I hope we don't come to blows until the end of the tournament.”“Me too. Good luck, Hit.” you tell him, the assassin nodding. Then he's gone, vanishing like he was never here. Leaving you standing alone on the beach. For several moments you just stand there, breathing in the morning air, considering who to reach out to first. But the answer's obvious, your mind expanding as you think out to the king of the universe and father of the emperor, King Cold. “King Cold. We just had a visitor. And he brought an... Interesting proposal.”Ten minutes later you're gathered on King Cold's planet with him and his son Freeza and nephew Arctus, the Kai-in-training Kars, and the apparently fully recovered Tanya. Laying out the offer before all of them, as Hit had told it to you.“It's obviously a trap. He knows his universe cannot beat ours, so wants to not be eliminated early-on.” Freeza says, crossing his arms as his tail flicks once behind him. “He's going to double cross us.”“Obviously. However, this arrangement does come with several advantages.” Tanya fires back. “First and foremost, not having Hit taking out our physically weaker and/or distracted fighters. At least in the chaos of the early tournament. And, only being outnumbered three to one instead of seven to one will greatly increase our chances. Making it through the early chaos of the tournament will be the second most difficult portion of the entire tournament. That, and the finale, where the strongest, tired warriors of the universes left will compete in battles of power and stamina, see who gives out first. Having ten fewer competitors to worry about in the early stages, and being more fresh going into the endgame of this tournament will be a great boon.”cont
>>6306346“I do have to agree. While it could be a clever ruse to get us to lower our guard, the Sixth Universe's fighters won't make such an allegiance blatantly obvious. For fear of other universes teaming up against the 'bigger team', and everyone attacking our universes first.” Kars adds in thoughtfully. “While their other fighters could pose a problem, we have to remember the two biggest threats Amazo warned us of: Moro and Jiren.”“Hmmmm.” King Cold says noncommittally.“I don't like it. This smells like a trap.” Arctus speaks up, you looking over and realizing how tired he looks. “What if they made this deal with the other universes as well, and are just trying to avoid fighting altogether until that critical end stage with their fighters mostly fresh? Hit could be a huge problem, and even if our Saiyans are significantly stronger than theirs, being fresh versus being exhausted could be enough to tip the scales.”“Even if they had made such deals, our situation won't change. The other universes already blame Chaya for this entire tournament anyways.” King Cold says, turning to you. “What do you think, Karn? Do you believe that this temporary alliance between universes is worth pursuing? Or should we simply reject the offer and put all our faith in our fighters?”Well? What do you think?>After hearing all sides, you doubt this will work in your favor and shouldn't be considered>The alliance couldn't hurt, having at least ten fighters not coming after us initially could make the difference in the early chaos>Unsure, that's why you didn't make a decision and came to him and everyone. >>6306348“I believe that, even without this alliance, we'll win. But why not go for it?” you answer him. “It won't hurt us, and having at least ten, and maybe up to twenty fighters occupied by each other instead of all coming for us could make all the difference. Especially in the early chaos, when the arena's full with eighty powerful fighters.”“Hmmmm. A valid argument.” King Cold says, resting his elbows on his knees, leaning in and meeting your eyes. “And what about the Ninth Universe?”“The Ninth? They're cowards. By attacking me they proved they can't beat our fighters, and are scared.” you reply confidently. “They know they're going to be erased, and they can't beat us. Especially now that I took Sidra's energy.”Various shouts go up at this, so you explain to the room what happened with the assassins, how you caught and subjugated the Hakai Sidra entrusted to his would-be assassin, and sent him back to let that Destroyer know you're coming for him.“Letting him flee was a brilliant tactical move. Instilling fear, even moreso than if you'd simply killed them all and the Destroyer knew not what happened, well done.” Tanya says with a predatory grin. “And knowing even his own Hakai couldn't stop you? I wouldn't bee all too surprised if they didn't even send a team to the tournament, and simply accepted their fate instead.”“Cowards won't quit. They'll be exceptionally dangerous now.” Kars says, his eyes narrowed with concern as he rests his chin on his hands.“Agreed. Those vengeful cowards Roh and Sidra will both be keen on seeing their revenge done.” Freeza answers seriously. “They're the type to take this personally, and will send their entire team after ours for revenge first. Why the plan of sticking together, at least initially, will be even more warranted.“On that we agree.” King Cold replies solemnly. “Crushing the Ninth first should be our primary priority, before going after Moro even. Once they're defeated and erased, then we can move on to taking down that threat.”“Karn? Where are you?” your wife suddenly thinks to you, clearly having just woken up and being unable to sense your ki back home. So, you fill her in on everything, and ask her opinion on Champa's deal. “Well, we already know most of their fighters, and only Hit was ever an issue. I can see why they'd want to cut a deal, since they know they won't win.”“I agree. King Cold agrees too, that we should take it. Mind spreading the news around to everyone while I finish up here?” you ask.“Of course hun.” she replies, ending the telepathic link as King Cold speaks up.“We shall accept the Sixth's offer of a temporary non-aggression pact, and keep our team fully cohesive without splitting until the Ninth has been crushed.”cont
>>6306416With that course of action decided, you ready yourself to leave, however, Freeza stops you.“Hold on just a moment, Karn.” he says, you raising a brow curiously. “There's something I need to ask you.”“Of course, what is it?” you reply, but Freeza doesn't say anything. Instead he stands up, walking around the table and standing beside you. “Mind accompanying me on a walk? There's something I've been meaning to ask you.”“Sure.” you reply, curious. The two of you exit King Cold's dining hall, you walking side-by-side with the former emperor. Who doesn't speak, not at first. For over a minute you walk, until he stops by a familiar, heavy vault door. Where he finally turns to face you, his expression... Troubled.“That day. When you fired that Final Flash inside the Time Chamber.” he starts, his expression a mix of emotions. “What... What happened?”“What do you mean?” you reply, confused. To which he answers.“I cannot remember. From the time you fired that beam out into the void, to the time I woke up, I have no memories of what happened.” he tells you, sounding concerned. “What happened in there? I must know.”“You mean... You don't remember anything?” you ask, remembering you'd asked Chronoa to help him. Not thinking it would have erased his memories as well. And so you explain what happened, how the attack you'd fired 'at' reality punched through, tearing a hole through what is into the nothing beyond. And how there's SOMETHING out there. And how, upon witnessing it he'd collapsed, and your own head felt as if it was being crushed until Chronoa appeared, sealing the rend in reality. Then, she saved him, clearly by taking the memories of what he'd seen beyond reality.“Hold on. How come you weren't affected?” he asks you, brows furrowing. “How was I, LORD FREEZA, so easily undone, yet you continued to push through unabated?”“Dunno. Maybe it's because of the Supreme Instinct power I was using then, maybe it's something to do with the Berserker Soul itself?” you question. “I don't have an answer. But what I DO know is that, whatever happened, it's best you don't see it again. Especially right now. We already have one existential crisis for our universe on our hands, we can deal with a being outside reality who seeks to devour everything after we win this tournament. And for that, we need YOU. We need you at the top of your game, not dealing with whatever mind bending powers it used on you to drop you like that.”“Well, you're certainly right about that. Between the two of us, we represent the greatest chance for our universe to survive this coming storm. And so we must be ready.” he says, eyes filled with determination. “We shall win this Tournament of Power. And once this business is wrapped up, we can look forward to the next threats.”He then offers his hand, you clasping forearms with your friend as you both share a moment of understanding. Shaking once, you then release one another simultaneously.“Go, and prepare yourself for the battle to come, my friend.” Freeza says with a resolute tone. “We shall win this existential game, one way or another.”“We won't lose.” you reply, raising your right hand to your forehead. And with a thought teleport, leaving your longtime friend and ally to his own preparations as you return home by your wife's side. Only a few more hours remain until the Tournament of Power begins, and the fates of eight universes are decided.-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 247 paused-
>>6306443And that's it for tonight, everyone ready for the tournament to finally begin? Any last-minute preparations to make, anyone you're eager to speak with before departing for the highest-stakes tournament yet? Do you trust Champa's truce, or is he merely playing an angle? Do you think you'll get to KEEP the Hakai you claimed if Sidra's erased upon his universe's disappearance, or will it vanish along with him? Who do you think will be the final ten competitors of the tournament, or the final five? All this and more, NEXT TIME, when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues!
>>6306444>Any last-minute preparations to makeEasy tear-away pants.
>>6306444Biggest downside I see to the truce with universe 6 is letting Hulk linger and get angrier and stronger, rather than taking him out early. Also, think the idea of 'the survivor of universe 6 or 7 using the super dragon balls to revive the other' is bullshit. Don't the balls get spread out and hidden across the two universes? Do we already have them all collected in one place, or are they still spread out? Because if one of the universes gets destroyed, so will the balls sitting in that universe, leaving an incomplete set of balls, and no way to assemble them all and summon super shenron.Hit and Champagne prob know that, so they're just talking shit. Deal is a con in various ways, but overall I'm happy enough with it (reduced initial pressure) even if it gives Hulk and Doom prep / build-up time.
>>6306444I'm ready for the tournament. I can almost smell its arrival.>Do you trust Champa's truce, or is he merely playing an angle?"Trust" and "Champa" aren't two words i'd put in a sentence together, but Hit did lay it bare and told us straight up that his team is weaker than ours, even with the new recruits. Or perhaps he doesn't know that we already know and that admission of weakness is an intentional misdirect from either him or Champa. There is an angle and a catch, I just don't know what it is yet. What I DO know is that keeping appearances will be crucial for the first couple of minutes in the tournament, giving us ample opportunity to ROLFstomp U9 and maybe go after Moro.>Do you think you'll get to KEEP the Hakai you claimed if Sidra's erased upon his universe's disappearance, or will it vanish along with him?That...is a good question. I'll have to see if physical or metaphysical things that fighters left behind in the TOP stayed when they were erased.
>>6306449Ha>>6306452If someone else doesn't take a rampaging monster who's a threat to his allies first.Yes, but GP has them gathered. They're in the World of Void now.>>6306453In the show, U10's last fighter's locket vanished when the universe was erased. The question becomes is it STILL Sidra's energy, or after being engulfed by the Berserker Soul so long is it now YOURS?>There is an angle and a catch, I just don't know what it is yetAlways an angle. Champa clearly doesn't want to be erased, and he probably doesn't think even with his new team his verse survives this. Self preservation's clearly the motive. Winning's nice, but remember he's 0-2 against Universe 7. And after seeing U7 CLAP U9, plus Chaya vs Toppo, he clearly knows victory is not likely.
To be honest, I just forgot that the wish at the end of the ToP (by Android 17) was made to Super Shenron.Assumed Zeno would just handle it.
>>6306501OOC we all know the wish was a test and whatnotbut I think that after seeing all these talented fighters wasted for whats basically bloodsports, either Chaya or Karn would wish them all back. You know, to fight again another day.
Karn could throw a spanner in the works by wishing that Zeno and the Grand Priest offer their full assistance to Mechi and Chronoa against Hadar.
(or just Mechi; them taking orders from Chronoa could backfire on us).
>>6306505why not just wish to banish Hadar then? I doubt uttering any cosmically devastating wishes would be tolerated before being promptly CTRL + Z'd.
>>6306503Honestly, I could also see most of our team being completely fed up with the Divine order and wishing everybody back out of spite. This whole contest is a fucking farce. Who are Zeno and the Grand Priest to cast judgement on Creation? They're powerful, sure, but thus far they've appeared so detached from reality as to make their judgement arbitrary at best.
>>6306501A fair assumption, but Zen-Oh doesn't create.>>6306503Assuming either of you are the fighter(s) left.>>6306507Chronoa won't interfere.>>6306509Because Super Shenron's limited in scope to that reality. And removing Hadar doesn't stop the entity beyond reality that Chronoa thinks was once Hadar.>>6306510Also quite possible.
>>6306519I have questions about our Berserker Soul. When it immolated the Abyss, it took on some its qualities, right? If it consumed an opposing element, like The First Flame or Light, would it take on the qualities of Disparity?I'd have suggested Chaos before that, but I assume it already had aspects of that given its origins.
>>6306652That's implying the Berserker Soul itself ISN'T a primal force stemming from that very First Flame.
>>6306715So we already have the aforementioned qualities...But what about quantity? This is tangential, but why is Junior's soul capable of producing such a large volume of Ki? I understand it's related to his parents being transformed while he was conceived and carried to term, but I still don't understand WHY that specific combination caused him to exhibit that quirk.
>>6306443>And that's it for tonight, everyone ready for the tournament to finally begin?Yes.> Any last-minute preparations to make, anyone you're eager to speak with before departing for the highest-stakes tournament yet?Maybe Camali can give us some valuable advice.>Do you trust Champa's truce, or is he merely playing an angle? It can still help in the beginning even if it is meant to trick our team.>Do you think you'll get to KEEP the Hakai you claimed if Sidra's erased upon his universe's disappearance, or will it vanish along with him?I hope it will not vanish. Remember long time ago when Kars first arrived at New Salda, after a short talk with Karn, Yoda hit Kars with lightning and then threw him and his ship with telekinesis back into space. Yoda apparently also used some God Ki in this attack because Kars was able to capture a tiny spark of it. It’s a little bit like Karn capturing Destroyer’s energy today. This did not end there because from that spark Kars learned how to create more of the God Ki on his own. That led to being noticed by Shin and then recruited by him.I remind of this story because Karn did something similar when captured Hakai. I hope that instead of using this Sidra’s energy as a onetime surprise attack maybe Karn could learn more about this power. If he could understand it well, to the point where he could begin to create this energy on his own, wouldn’t that be great? I think it would be awesome and there is a chance that it is possible. >Who do you think will be the final ten competitors of the tournament, or the final five? It’s hard to predict. An example of this is Moro if he gets kicked out at the start then it’s a big problem solved easily and early, but if he stays for long enough to grow strong, he might make it to the final five. Jiren, Karn and other remaining competitors might be forced to team up against Moro if we let the magical goat grow strong enough.
I found an epilogue that talks about this topic.>>6306466>The question becomes is it STILL Sidra's energy, or after being engulfed by the Berserker Soul so long is it now YOURS?I hope it is Karn’s now. Your words GD give me hope that Karn can do it. That he can familiarize himself with Destroyer’s energy and then learn how to create more of it on his own. That would be great.
>>6306764Damn, I forgot all about Camali. How is he doing?
>>6306721>JuniorNow there's a good question. Even Mechikabura said his birth was special, and his power unique. Perhaps in how half-combining the Berserker Soul with Super Saiyan works, or perhaps there was more at play than simply birthing a pre-transformed child. He's a good fighter, but not one for talking.True. And even if it's a trick, what's the worst they can do? Immediately attack you all? That'd give the game away and lead to their elimination. We'll see. Kars, after all, is a super genius-level intellect. He was able to figure out Stands in moments, even duplicating a Stand he COULDN'T SEE.A full-power Moro could be a serious threat to everyone's continued existence.>>6306765Yes, but even for Kars this was two MONTHS. You don't even have a full day.>>6306768Enjoying his retirement quite well. He's got it made, and some of the best food in the universe too. Living to the fullest.
>>6306910>Yes, but even for Kars this was two MONTHS. You don't even have a full day.To be fair, the Berserker soul has seemed to have a tendency to just instantly eat shit and grow from it in the past, so it's not an unfair question to ask.
>>6306950There's a big difference between mastering a new energy and consuming it. Kars carefully didn't consume that energy, and so far neither have you. While it is a path you could go down, feeding Hakai to the Berserker Soul, it could have implications for your power moving forward. And possibly affect your Supreme Instinct for this tournament.
>>6307323>While it is a path you could go down, feeding Hakai to the Berserker Soul, it could have implications for your power moving forward. And possibly affect your Supreme Instinct for this tournament.Gee, if only we had a way of viewing alternative timelines based on choices we have yet to make. If only.I'm more curious about how Kars cultivated enough Divine Ki to outright become a Kai from a fleeting wisp of divine energy. You'd think it'd decay over time or pass through him naturally.
>>6306910>We'll see. Kars, after all, is a super genius-level intellect. He was able to figure out Stands in moments, even duplicating a Stand he COULDN'T SEE.I see. The difficulty of this may be great. Though it’s also good to hear. As I understand this, it means that there is a chance. >Yes, but even for Kars this was two MONTHS. You don't even have a full day.I know. I never said he has to do it right now. It may take some time, but I think he may be capable of it. I know this is purely hypothetical and most likely will not happen, because confrontation with Moro is looming near, so Karn will not be able to master this in time. But if he theoretically could generate and use Energy of Destruction it would be a hard counter for this evil wizard. He can’t eat Hakai because it will erase him.>>6307323>While it is a path you could go down, feeding Hakai to the Berserker Soul, it could have implications for your power moving forward. And possibly affect your Supreme Instinct for this tournament. That’s interesting. I know you most likely will not reveal the outcome of it because it would be a big spoiler, but I would guess that such act could change the nature of Berserker Soul and Supreme Instinct. Make them more tied to Energy of Destruction. Whereas now Berserker Soul and Supreme Instinct are pure in their own way, after this act they would become infused with Energy of Destruction. What would be the result of this? Destructive Berserker Soul? Destructive Supreme Instinct? Would this be a permanent change or only a temporary state that requires channelling Destruction Energy into Berserker Soul to maintain? I don’t know. I’m just trying to guess. >>6307484>I'm more curious about how Kars cultivated enough Divine Ki to outright become a Kai from a fleeting wisp of divine energy. You'd think it'd decay over time or pass through him naturally.Maybe Karn could ask him. His advice may help in generating more of the Hakai Energy, that originally did not belong to Karn. It’s similar to that God Ki, which did not belong to Kars at first.
The Big thing is how we'd roll if we tried to make the Berserker Soul devour the Hakai. The reason the Berserker Soul didn't take on any aspects of The Soul of Manus is cause I crit on that roll, so it all got burned away cleanly with no side effects.Trying to do so with Hakai will definitly have a far higher DC for 'Complete Consumption' if its possible for the berserker soul to do so in the first place, with lower rolls causing more and more side effects or bleedover.
>>6307591This, better not risk it, at least until we can find a replacement for the Room of Spirit and time, we only got 2 weeks lefts for us in that thing. So any big soul shit needs to wait till consult Beerus who will then ask Whis.

And, as the living embodiment of the perfect life form, he can copy ANYthing done by another living being. Combine that with his literal 400 IQ and he figured it out.>>6307573The real deciding factor of if you'll be able to keep this power through the tournament is if SIDRA believes that this power is now yours and no longer his. Because if he doesn't believe, and you IC do, then it's yours.Could be a use for Hakai. After all, Goku in the manga figured out how to use Hakai as well from only seeing it a few times.Another reason I can't reveal the outcome is there are SEVERAL outcomes, depending on what happens. And if you crit fail, well, that's quest end right there unless Mechikabura can stop it and save you in time. You could show Kars. If you want to risk him figuring it out and learning how to use/create Hakai himself. After all it would be far easier for him, as a deity with divine ki.>>6307591Very true, the crit back then did play a major factor in consuming the Dark without it affecting the Berserker Soul.
>>6307741>Remember, they can't see YOUR future of your timeline. As a Fateless, your branch is distorted. -Saiyan Conqueror Quest 247 Intermission-AGE 870, THE TIME NEST“I'm back. And... Hang on. Where'd he go?” you say as the flash of blinding light fades, looking around in confusion as you don't see Mechikabura.“Mechikabura went to THAT timeline.” the Supreme Kai of Time, Aeos answers. And you immediately know which timeline she means, the one everything seems to happen in or adjacent to.“What's going on?” you ask, but Aeos simply shrugs. Not looking up from the scroll she's studying. “Anyways, I took that Omega Shenron down, but he was acting... Weird. Weirder than usual I mean.”“Weird how?” Aeos asks, suddenly looking up from her scroll to you. A concerned look in her eye.“Was babbling like a crazy person, saying 'The End Comes!' and other such nonsense.” you tell her, but before you or her can say anything else, Mechikabura returns. Seeing him just appear from the corner of your eye you turn, only to freeze in your tracks. Years of repressed anger surging to the surface as you see an all-too-familiar face.“YOU!!” you roar, ascending immediately to your Blue Evolution form as you draw your sword. The bitch responsible for ruining your life, for making you believe you were loved, for even believing Hyoka was real and not a puppet she used to control you. “How DARE you come back here?!”Deep blue aura blazing, engulfing and enhancing your blade, you kick off the ground and charge without hesitation. Closing the gap in a blink, Mechikabura steps in as you swing. Stopping your blade with a finger, halting your attack.“Easy, Trunks. We have bigger problems right now.” Mechikabura tells you, his voice deadly serious. A tone so serious it causes you to freeze in place, then after a second back off, landing on you feet and looking between them, confused. You are Trunks, the former Supreme Kai of Time in training, second to the current Supreme Kai of Time Aeos, a Saiyan beyond god, and currently wondering what could have possibly happened for Mechikabura to even CONSIDER bringing that bitch back here. Aeos, you see, is clearly just as worried as you are, immediately grabbing the Prime Time Scroll and tucking it away inside her robes. Eyes narrowing as she looks Chronoa up and down. Who notices the gesture, smiling sadly.
>>6308120“It is right for you to distrust me. I haven't been honest, with any of you.” Chronoa says to her, but you don't buy it. “But that is because I wanted to spare you.”“Spare us? SPARE us?! You lied to me for YEARS! Made me believe I was important, that I was fighting for good! That I was-!” you snarl, then bite your tongue, not wanting to say just how deeply her construct Hyoka not being real and not actually loving you hurt. “What the FUCK was so important you had to lie to me?!”“The End.” she says solemnly, your fiery anger immediately chilling at her words. Mirroring what that Shadow Dragon had been talking about, the same title and everything. And, clearly seeing the recognition in your eyes, surprisingly, she takes a step back from you. Eyes narrowing, hands raised. “How do you know that name?”“That's what Omega Shenron was shouting about, as the strange energy he was emitting was distorting his timeline.” you tell her, holding up the scroll you'd just saved from being diverted. Weakening Omega and stalling him, giving Goku and Vegeta enough time to fuse into Gogeta.“And he wasn't the first. Just today we've had seven different entities start babbling nonsense about 'The End'.” Aeos adds, her gaze solely on Chronoa. “You clearly know what's going on, spill it.”“Damn. I hadn't thought this had gotten this bad already.” Chronoa says, not meeting any of your gazes, chin in her hand as she looks down at the ground. Not actually seeing the ground, her mind clearly elsewhere.“What do you mean, started already?” Mechikabura asks her, brows furrowing as he stares down at her. “What has started?”“The End. That entity is already starting to break into certain minds susceptible to its presence.” she says, not looking up. “As it draws closer, its presence will be felt in minds all across the timelines. I've not found any rhyme nor reason to which minds fall in previous realities. However, those of more evil and selfish persuasion, of less outstanding moral fortitude do seem to have their minds broken far easier.”“So you're saying this is only going to get worse?” Aeos asks, her brows furrowed. “Can we not stop it, leave this entity trapped away in the Time Prison?”“No. I've tried that before, it doesn't work. It can devour the Time Prison from within.” Chronoa answers, shaking her head. “No conventional prisons or powers can contain it, it exists outside all that is.”“Hrmmm. Perhaps the answer is not in our powers, but the new powers created in this timeline?” Mechikabura ponders, only for another scroll to start radiating with sinister power. Chronoa, as you see the scroll light up with that dark power flinches away from it, recoiling as if she could HEAR it. “Another one. Speaking of, Trunks-”
>>6308123“On it.” you reply, dropping the scroll you'd been holding back onto the table, grabbing the one radiating with dark power. Unfurling it, activating the scroll to show what's changing. And, to your surprise, you see a fight you'd not studied much. Where Goku, wielding his incomplete Ultra Instinct is battling the world-devouring goat Moro. However as Moro bests Goku and takes on Merus the angel's power, suddenly you see it. His eyes widen as he looks to the sky in horror, the other Z Fighters thinking he's having a moment of clarity. But you've seen this before.“No, this... This cannot be. Everything, all I've... Meaningless.” he says, eyes rolling up into the back of his head. Dark energy begins radiating from him, a violent, HUNGRY energy blazing around him. “I...Must...Devour.”“Dammit, another one.” you say, but before you can activate the scroll Chronoa's beside you, peering into the scroll.“Its influence is spreading.” she mutters darkly, scowling at the scroll. She then turns back to you, what appears to be concern in her eyes. “Trunks, you can't fight Moro. You don't-”“And there it is. The reason why I never amounted to anything.” you say, rolling the scroll up as you turn fully to face her. Looking down on the former Supreme Kai of Time. “It's because of YOU. You never believed in me, always thought I would fail. But now I see that it was far more insidious than that. You had Faith that I would fail. Your disbelief in my ability to succeed was what was dragging me down.”And as you say this you see the sudden shock on her face, as if you'd slapped her. But you don't stop, letting it out.“I've learned how divine power works, how Faith influences the very fabric of reality. And it was your Faith in not me, but in my failures that always held me back! But Lord Mechikabura believes in me. Lady Aeos believes in me. Ace and Chaya, the other Time Patrollers, even KARN now believe in me. Everyone. But. You.” you say, divine aura blazing around you as you reaffirm the truth you've learned. “And ever since you've been gone, I have become strong. Strong enough to be who you always promised me I'd be. But never really believed I could achieve. So, if you're going to keep believing only in my failure, then leave. Because I have another timeline to save.”And without another word raise the scroll, activating it and leaving the Time Nest. Heading off to fulfill the goal she'd put into your head but never believed you were capable of achieving. Of being the Hero of Time.-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 247 Intermission End-

Its more, with her hoping every timeline, always running, always fleeing, she spread the Faith that every timeline she found was doomed. That eventually The End would find it and she'd have to run over because he never believed she could fight it.Even Starvation didn't work, because she feared it would come anyway, and so it did.I have no doubt Hadar, or what once was Hadar is strong and a threat to everything, but I'm very sure that Chronas the one whose fear has been hyper charging its evolution.
>>6308184So its entirely her fault that everyone besides Karn and his family and friends are bitch made....GOD DAMN, DUMBASS, PINK ASS, NO ASS, FLAT ASS, KAIEST OF ASSESS, BIIIIIIIIIIITCH! >>6308124> You never believed in me, always thought I would fail. But now I see that it was far more insidious than that. You had Faith that I would fail. Your disbelief in my ability to succeed was what was dragging me down.”Very nice epilogue. Her Faith can affect many things, all of reality. Does her influence spreads even into nonexistence including Hadar? If Her faith can affect even him then perhaps her belief in that he is inevitable and unstoppable is empowering him. >>6308184>Which leads to the logical conclusion: what else has her Faith, as THE oldest deity in this reality, influenced?I think it influences every timeline and all of reality. But to give more specific examples. Could it be that it is her Faith that is causing those methods to be weaker:>>6308123>“Can we not stop it, leave this entity trapped away in the Time Prison?”>“No. I've tried that before, it doesn't work. It can devour the Time Prison from within.” Chronoa answers, shaking her head. “No conventional prisons or powers can contain it, it exists outside all that is.”Maybe without her “We are doomed” attitude the Time Prison would have been stronger.Luckily it seems that anomalies occur. Such as Karn who is resisting the weakening effect of her Faith. >Chronoa, as you see the scroll light up with that dark power flinches away from it, recoiling as if she could HEAR it.I know that it must be awful to hear voice of Devourer, but if she can hear him without turning into an insane puppet, then perhaps she might actually help us with this. If she can hear what he is thinking or planning to do then that could be useful. To know enemy’s plans. >“Hrmmm. Perhaps the answer is not in our powers, but the new powers created in this timeline?” Mechikabura pondersKarn has something that perhaps will allow him to fight the End.>>6308124>“No, this... This cannot be. Everything, all I've... Meaningless.” he says, eyes rolling up into the back of his head. Dark energy begins radiating from him, a violent, HUNGRY energy blazing around him. “I...Must...Devour.”As we see here it seems that a new energy appears around those affected by The End. Perhaps it is the power of Devourer himself. Either way Karn has an unique method of turning someone’s own energy against them. That requires Divine Dragon Force. If Karn could do that against the power of Hadar then that would mean he would not be defenceless against him. He could really fight him.Perhaps there might be something to this theory as Hadar clearly recognizes Karn and he hates him (pic related). >>6306443Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:After defeating the assassins and King Vegeta's arrival, Karn realized everyone else may be in danger as well, reaching out to everyone. Only to realize he was the only one targeted for attack by assassins. Then, after meeting with Broly and telling Towa what happened in the Time Chamber, Karn spent the rest of the day with his family. Early the next morning, the day of the Tournament of Power, Hit appears with a proposition from Lord Champa. Offering a deal to keep out of each other's way during the Tournament of Power until only your two universes are left. Your universe agreed, after speaking with Kars, King Cold and Freeza. And as we rejoin Karn, you've left King Cold's world and returned home for the last few hours before the Tournament of Power begins.“So, Universe 6 wanted a truce. I'm surprised, honestly.” Towa says after you've returned, you telling her what all had happened this morning as both women get dressed. Your wife in her gi, you dressing as well. Donning your boots and arm guards, slipping the Soulstone into your boot. Nothing in the rules against taking it, as it's not a weapon. And doesn't even directly affect an enemy combatant. “Surprised Champa was able to swallow his pride enough to ask, even if through a messenger.”“He's clearly desperate.” your wife replies casually, pulling her boots on before standing up, stretching her arms overhead as she leans side-to-side, stretching her back as well. “He's lost both tournaments against us, and in a battle royal like the Tournament of Power will be, his team lost even harder than it had on the one-on-ones.”“A fair point. But for him to ask you directly... I'm betting this is a ruse of some kind. He's hoping to attack first when your team is distracted, to take a clear advantage before you're aware he's an enemy.” she says, expression serious. “Are you sure you're ready?”“As ready as I can be. I spent a year yesterday preparing for this.” you reply, then clenching your fist up by your chest, you grin. “Besides. I'm stronger than ever. And, thanks to all that training, both Freeza and I are ready. Ready to go even further beyond our previous limits.”“Oh? You mean that you-?” she asks as her eyes widen, then she smirks. “I see. Well then, perhaps I should take a short, hour-long break from my research once this tournament kicks off? After all, I wouldn't want to miss you revealing this long-teased power of yours' full potential.”cont

Want to know what we're up against.” you reply to her seriously. “I'm confident we'll win this Tournament of Power, but I feel the need to know more about this new, or rather old, threat.”“Very well.” she replies, you and your wife following Towa as she heads to her lab, sitting at her computer deck, fingers flying over the keys as she wakes the system up. Screens coming to life, Towa inputting commands that turn all the screens black. And, after several seconds, a familiar face appears. “Good morning, Lord Mechikabura. Thank you for taking this call.”“Of course, Towa.” he answers, with a nod, then notices you and Meloka. “Karn, Meloka. So, to what do I owe the pleasure?”“I'm calling to see what you can tell us about... That entity beyond.” Towa says seriously. “We need to know what we're up against.”“Hmmmm. Very well.” he answers, and the screen goes black. Towa blinks in surprise, you wondering what's going on until a moment later, when Mechikabura's portal suddenly appears behind you. The three of you turn, the Demon God stepping through. And with a wave of his hand creates a bubble of magical energy around you four, immediately leaving you unable to see or even sense beyond it. “Now we can talk freely. So, what do you want to know?”“Everything.” Towa answers immediately. “I won't let our reality fall to that monster.”“I agree.” Meloka replies as well, you feeling the determination radiating off of her. “We won't let it win.”“Very well. Unfortunately, we know little.” he replies, telling the three of you what Chronoa had told him. How it was once a being known as Hadar, a star devouring worlds to keep from burning itself out. But as it consumed it grew larger and larger, eventually consuming even the first Destroyer sent to stop its rampage. And from there its power only grew, consuming that entire universe, then the rest of that universe. And when it moved onto trying to consume other timelines, she and her Time Patrol had gotten involved. But they couldn't stop it either, until it had consumed the entire reality. Leaving only Chronoa alive with the Time Scroll, desperately using the Hakai she'd been granted to erase the scroll. To erase everything left, to try and end that monster. But it didn't die, leaving only herself and it in the infinite void of nothingness. Fleeing her destruction through the void of nothing until she traveled far enough, restarting reality all over. Trying to remake it into a realm with enough power to stop that monster. But nothing worked. Reality after reality was consumed, all devoured the same as the first, until she decided to start starving it out. Erasing the realities herself before it could devour them, reducing them to nothing before starting again. Hoping to eventually starve it out. cont
>>6308766“But, according to her, even starving this abomination wasn't enough. As best as she could remember, it has been twelve realities she's erased personally. Yet that monster still comes.” he finishes.“Twelve times...” you say, stunned. She destroyed twelve entire realities, erased every single being herself all to try and starve that entity.“Indeed.” he replies, a moment of silence hanging over you all.“So, what do we do?” Towa asks, her voice suddenly far smaller than usual. “How do we stop it?”“I... Don't know.” Mechikabura confesses, allowing you to see a small moment of vulnerability. “I do not know how we defeat this monster. But what I do know is we can't just surrender.”“I agree. Whatever it takes, we have to stop that thing.” you reply, clenching your fist seriously. “If I can help stop this thing, let me know. I'll do what I can.”“As will I.” your wife says as well, stepping forward. Mechikabura, a ghost of a smile across his lips nods.“If your aid is needed, I shall not hesitate to reach out to any of you.” he answers your words. “But for now, I shall see what I can do to handle this situation. But, if you have any ideas, don't hesitate to reach out to me.”He then turns his focus on you, eyes meeting your own.“But don't try and engage that being on your own. Don't try and tear your way back outside of reality and challenge it again.” he warns you seriously. “Next time you might not get so lucky and escape it's gaze unscathed. Or... Changed.”“Changed? What do you mean?” Towa immediately asks, you sensing her sudden panic. “Changed how?”“Those who have come in contact with that monster, or even SEE it are changed. Even beings as powerful as Moro, who witness it have had their minds shattered, twisted and turned into its agents whose entire goal is to draw that monster to our reality. To open portals between our world, bridging the infinite void between where it is and our reality and letting it out to devour everything.”Another moment of silence passes between you all inside the sphere, the air suddenly heavy with tension before he continues.“For now, however, leave this problem to us.” he says. “Should your aid be required, I shall reach out. But, for now, this problem is ours to handle. Before I go, however, is there anything else?”Well? Where your Stand attaches to your physical being when visible, as of right now it still slumbers. “My memories of this time, when my soul was trapped inside the Dark Dragon Balls for safekeeping as the previous reality ended, are hazy. But as everything was destroyed, I do remember still sensing your Divine Dragon Force. Only it, myself inside the Dragon Balls, Dumplin, and Chronoa survived the previous reality erasure. And, since your Stand wasn't consumed by that entity, it stands to reason it would recognize your Stand. After all, it had to avoid being consumed for hundreds of millions of years as the new reality was created, until you were born once more and reached the point where it could bond with you.”“You saw that thing before?” you mumble, looking down at your arm. Trying to call forth your Stand, yet even with the full year inside the Time Chamber, your Stand remains asleep. “But if my Stand can survive it...”“It is worth considering, but not yet. You've still got a long way to go, before you'll be ready to face such an entity.” he answers you, shaking his head. “For now, I must return. Farewell.”And without waiting for a reply turns, heading back inside his portal. Which shuts behind him, leaving you, Towa, and Meloka standing there to digest his words. Towa, however, only stays still a moment before returning to her desk, fingers flying over the keyboard as she brings up screen after screen of text you can't read, the language different than what you're used to.“I'll keep working on this problem, see what I can dig up.” she replies, not looking away. “But for now, you should focus on the present, Karn.”“Yeah, you're right about that.” you reply, nodding to her then turning to your wife. “Shall we?”“After you.” she answers with a playful smile, only to fly up and wrap her arms around your neck, pressing herself to your back. “I've got your back.”So, as one you and your wife leave Towa's Lab. I hope you're ready for today.” the Destroyer says dismissively, rubbing at his eyes with the back of his hand idly. “I don't want to hear any excuses for not giving one hundred-”But then he freezes in place, eyes immediately snapping to you. Brows furrowed in a serious glare, eyes meeting your own.“Hold on. There's something... Different about you today.” he says, tone full of suspicion as he stares you down. Expression serious as he studies you. “What did you do?”“Do? All I did was survive an assassination attempt yesterday. By your cohort from the Ninth, Sidra.” you tell him, seeing the Destroyer's eyes shooting wide in shock.“Sidra? No, Sidra would never. He's too much a coward to have-” he says, but leaning in, his eyes widening in shock as he clearly senses. “Impossible.”“Yeah. That cowardly bastard sent a couple hundred assassins here, and gave his Hakai to one.” you reply with a smirk. “But your brother knows Hakai isn't enough to stop me.”Silence hangs between you, Beerus' eyes narrowing as he studies you. Then he smirks, leaning back with a self-satisfied expression.“Normally, such a thing'd be worrying. But having a warrior strong enough to withstand a Hakai fighting for our universe means that we'll most likely be the ones who will survive this tournament.” he says, then his stomach growls audibly. “But first, more important matters. One final meal before the Tournament of Power begins. Whis?”“Of course.” the angel says, as he and the Destroyer head towards your ship. You and Meloka share a glance, but before you can follow them inside, a crystal gateway appears. And from it steps your firstborn son, along with his family.“Grandma! You and your wife, along with Chilli's family follow them in, but as she heads to the bridge to set up for the tournament you and your son's family all head to the mess hall. Chaya joining your all shortly after, no doubt once the cameras work. Enjoying an absolute feast prepared by Silver. And as you eat everyone else slowly returns as well, all your universe's competitors except for Cooler and Captain Ginyu, who're still in the time chamber, and Plastic Man who you'll have to go get before it's time. Even Kars and King Cold arrive as well, enjoying what you bet many think could be their last meal. Only to shake that thought off as you glance to Freeza, who nods confidently. You feel several ribs crack seeing the surprise on the Kryptonian's face as his blow slams into you instead of whoever's behind you, eyes wide with shock.“My knight in not-so-shining armor!” a sinister voice calls from behind you, the speaker's voice sending shivers up your spine as you struggle to remain on your feet. You can SEE the crazy in his eyes as he grins.“No, Supes over there killed his wife himself. I just gave him a bit of a... Push. >>6308868Without replying, you gather your energy into your eyes, preparing your eye beams. In response, Superman does the same, his own eyes glowing a menacing red. Then, with a thought you fire your beams, but not at the Kryptonian. Who was about to fire his own, but stops the moment your beams turn, his eyes widening in shock. Your attack heads straight at the still-laughing clown instead, flying straight through his eyes as he laughs. Cutting him off mid-laughter, killing him instantly. Ending your beam, the deceased body with two smoking holes where its eyes were drops, slumped to the ground. Dead.“Listen. Superman. It's not over.” you tell him, walking over and placing your left hand on his right shoulder, meeting his gaze. “We can bring them back, bring everyone back.”“You-what? That's not possible.” he says, you seeing despair warring with the sudden hope in his eyes. “They're all dead. Because of me.”“Only for now. On another planet in our empire, far in isolated space are seven magical orbs, called the Dragon Balls. That, when they're gathered, can grant any wish within their power.” you tell him, seeing his eyes widening, mouth opening slightly in shock. “With their power, once this Tournament of Power's over, and they've fully recharged, we'll use them to bring them all back. Your wife and unborn child, everyone.”“Are you... Are you sure this will work?” he asks hesitantly, you seeing the hope growing in his eyes. To which you nod solemnly.“Yes. And it can even save the unborn child. We've... Unfortunately had to put that to the test recently, but even the unborn can be brought back to how they were before.” you tell him, seeing the Kryptonian's sigh of relief, feeling the burden he's carrying leaving his shoulders as he collapses to the ground.“They're not gone...” he mutters, bringing his hands to his face as his body trembles. You turn, seeing the Batman glaring at you. So, you leave the Kryptonian's side, turning fully to face the black-cowled man as you reach out telepathically.“What? Do you disagree with my method? That this monster should have suffered first before I killed him?” you ask telepathically, Batman shaking his head. And for just a moment, images flash through your mind. Of others he's hurt, even a woman close to himself, one of his disciples was paralyzed and another beaten to near death with a crowbar then blown up. “No, not that. What's the problem?”“Tell me. Is that really true?” he asks you, stone-faced. “If you're giving him hope, only to tear it away from him, I will end you myself.”cont
>>6308911Silence hangs between you at his telepathic declaration, and despite the absurd power gap between you both, something tells you he isn't bluffing. But it doesn't matter, as you're not lying. Sending him a few telepathic images of the different wish-granting dragons you've seen.“I'm not making it up. But we'll have to use Namek's, as theirs recharge in four months. While those on that other planet named Earth take a full year to recharge, and we just used them.” you tell him, sensing the relief in his mind, even though his posture and expression don't change. You then speak aloud, addressing them both. “Now, for why I'm here. The tournament's in under an hour, need Plastic Man to take with me. Strategy meeting's starting soon as I bring him and the others from off-world back to New Salda, so we can go over the plan before it begins.”“Not a problem. I'll just give him a call, and-” Batman says, only to stop as Superman holds out a hand to him. Rising back to his feet, eyes slightly red and cheeks damp from crying.“No. I'll go. It's faster if I go get him.” Superman says, then turns fully to you. “Thank you. For everything.”And without a word he's gone, zooming back out of the hole he'd made in the wall, taking off. Returning after a few seconds with Plastic Man, who is in his usual cheery mood.“Hey big man, I take it we're-?” he asks, freezing as he sees the dead clown in the room. Going silent for several seconds, then meeting your gaze. “Good riddance. Some criminals can be redeemed, brought back. But him? Not every crime deserves mercy. So, we're going?”“Yeah. We've got less than an hour.” you reply, raising your right back to your forehead. But where do you go?>Straight to Earth, to Mr. Popo. >>6308912“So, I'm going to drop you off with everyone else, then go get the rest.” you continue, then focusing on your wife's ki through your wedding band, link yourself ready to use Instant Transmission. But, before you can, Superman calls to you.“Karn.” he says, distracting you enough so you can't teleport, turning your head and meeting his gaze. Seeing the honest sincerity on his face. “Thank you.”“You're welcome. Better go check up on Ubo and Galatea, they're in pretty rough shape in that crater.” you tell him, refocusing. “Just because we can bring them back doesn't mean we should let them die.”“Right.” he answers, blurring out the hole in the wall while Batman goes over to the clown's body, taking it in his hands.“I'll see to the Joker's remains.” he says, but you don't care about that clown, teleporting. Leaving the Kryptonians' adoptive homeworld, returning to New Salda. Where your wife is outside your ship, along with several others. However, as you appear, Plastic Man immediately shouts.“AIIIEEEEEEEE! I'm meeeeeltiiiiing!” he cries out as his body seemingly liquefies into a puddle beside you. For a horrified second you freeze, along with your wife, several of your kids and all three of your grandkids. Only for him to immediately right himself with a laugh. “Haha, just kidding! But man, your planet's heavy!”He says, as his body starts to 'melt' again. Seemingly unable to fully retain his solid form under the pressure.“I sure hope the tournament's not going to be this heavy, or I'm not gonna be nearly as useful.” he continues, Chaya speaking up.“No, it's going to be set to be each of our home planets' gravities. Probably through magic, else how could you get them all simultaneously?”“Magic, huh? I've known a few spell-slingers in my day.” Plastic Man continues, but you don't focus on him. Instead you reach out telepathically, once more to the protector of Earth's Lookout.“Mr. Popo, it's time.” you think to him, feeling your mind connect with his own.“Sure thing, I'll go ahead and open the door for-”“Not yet, let's give them a little longer. Until I show up and walk back in there.” you reply, focusing on his strange ki. Leaving your home once more, teleporting back to the far lighter gravity planet also called Earth. Appearing atop the Lookout by Mr. Popo, who meets your gaze unblinking. “Give them all the extra time we can.”“I see.” he says, grin widening. “And I see that you've been busy. Sidra, huh? Impressed you managed to keep it without destroying or consuming it.”cont
>>6308933“It's not much. But who knows, an emergency Hakai could come in quite handy.” you reply, Mr. Popo nodding once sagely. But something Mechikabura said has stuck with you, and with the being formerly known as Dumplin here before you, you figure you'll ask. “So, you were there, huh? When the last reality ended.”“So, ol' Mechi told you about that, huh?” Mr. Popo says with a sigh, his accent slipping as he reverts back into his speech patterns of Dumplin. Skin turning several shades greyer as he talks. “Yeah, I was there. The other you an' me, Vegito, Trunks, and even Chronoa had all come together to confront the Dark King Mechikabura. Facing him in a final, climactic battle. Only for Chronoa to pull a bitch move and use Hakai on the Time Scroll. Erasing all of time, and with it all of reality. When the dust settled, all that was left was Mechikabura's spirit, unbeknownst to me hiding in the Dark Dragon Balls I'd taken and hidden in my body, Chronoa, and him.”Again, pointing at your right arm, meaning Divine Dragon Force.“Chronoa couldn't see 'im, I could barely sense him as well. Only because that other you'd hit me with him in training, so I could perceive 'im.” he says, a distant look coming to his unsettling, unblinking eyes. “And that's when I first saw it. Far, far off in the distance, I saw IT. That being she calls The End. And unlike her an' me, who took off in the opposite direction, that little guy flew TOWARDS that monster.”“TOWARDS IT?!” you shout in shock, stunned. “That's impossible!”“Saw 'im with my own eyes.” Dumplin replies, taking a deep, calming breath. Returning to his Mr. Popo look fully, retaking his adopted speaking tone and accent. “I don't know how, but your Stand survived encountering that monster.”Silence hangs over the Lookout at his declaration, the only sound that of the wind blowing through the trees and over the tiles as you process this revelation. Divine Dragon Force was powerful enough to face that monster from beyond reality directly? And it survived?! Or maybe... No, that couldn't possibly be. Could it? You stare for a long while at your right arm, then after several seconds shake the doubts off. No, that's not possible. If your Stand had been corrupted by that entity, Dumplin would have sensed it. Right?“Let's see the results of Cooler and Ginyu's training.” you say, shaking your head. Dispelling the doubts of your Stand, and focusing back on the present.“Of course. Let's see if the older brother has managed to catch back up to the younger.” he replies, the two of you making your way into the Lookout. Approaching the Time Chamber door, Dumplin stopping by the door. But before you can open it, suddenly the door opens on its own. And striding out confidently in his base form is Cooler, who stops as he sees you both.cont
>>6308934“Looks like my timing's as perfect as ever.” Cooler says confidently, smirking at you. “General Karn.”“Lord Cooler. Captain Ginyu.” you say, addressing both the current emperor and your friend as they both emerge, Ginyu shutting the door behind them both as you sense their ki. And both have gotten noticeably stronger, each more than twice as strong as they were before going in. “Are you two ready to go?”“Before we go, how about a quick... Ginyu walks up, the two of them taking your offered hand. And with a thought teleport back to your wife's side once more, where an unusual sight is unfolding. You see your youngest grandson, Kazuburo, facing Plastic Man. Who has shapeshifted himself into a copy of the creature your son's youngest has summoned. The skeletal demon clearly looking unsettled at the mimicry of the man.“So, I take it this one's Plastic Man?” Cooler asks, Plastic Man turning and facing Cooler. Only to suddenly shift his shape again, making a copy of Cooler but in red and black instead of purples and whites. Cooler's eyes narrow, but then to your surprise nods in approval. “Red and black looks good on me.”“You're the emperor of the universe, huh?” Plas asks, returning to his usual shape. “You're a lot more chill than I'd thought you'd be, especially after what your brother said about you.”To which Cooler's eye twitches once, you turning and seeing Freeza smirk at getting under his brother's skin. As you do, Cooler takes a deep breath before sighing out, centering himself before answering.“Sibling rivalries are quite common, or so I'm told.” Cooler replies to him. “But that's exactly the sort of petty story the WEAKER sibling would say about their elder.”“Ohhh? Weaker, huh?” Freeza asks, a dangerous hint to his voice as he takes two steps forward. “Perhaps we should put that theory to the test? See who's REALLY weaker?”“Oi! That's enough, both of you!” Beerus suddenly shouts, you all turning to see the Destroyer God lounging on a reclining seat on the beach, sipping on a drink of some kind. “No wasting your powers on one another until AFTER the tournament's over, got it? We have to win, no matter what!”And he's right. No matter what it takes, you WILL win this. For everyone counting on you, you can't lose. >>6308966“Excellently said, Lord Beerus.” Kars says, following the Destroyer's proclamation. “Now that all ten fighters are assembled, it is time to go over our strategy. Tanya, if you would please?”“Of course.” she replies, pointing with her yellow ring. Creating a construct out of yellow, faintly divine energy that is shaped like the Tournament of Power stage everyone was shown by the Grand Priest. “This is the stage we've been told we will be fighting on. Our goal is two-fold, in the early stages of the contest. First, securing a place near the central pillar, to fight with something solid to our backs. Then, once we've established ourselves, we shall split into two teams.”“Split up?” Captain Ginyu questions, brow raised. Freeza also looks surprised, but doesn't interrupt.“Yes. One of the contestants, Moro, is too dangerous to be allowed to stay in this competition.” Tanya continues, also creating a visualization of the goat man Moro of that same energy. “While Chilli BELIEVES he can counter Moro's ki draining ability, it is best to leave nothing to chance. Especially against a being who could grow stronger by draining the energies of everyone present. Contestants AND the attending audience of mortals and deities alike.”“That monster can steal OUR energy too?” Megumin, your daughter-in-law asks, shocked. “Can we use our magic to counter this?”“I would doubt it.” Whis, Beerus' attendant speaks up. “Any outside force using their power on a competitor still in the competition will probably face swift judgment and summary removal from reality by Grand Zen-Oh himself.”“My new technique should nullify this threat, at least after a minute or two.” Chilli answers, a resolute look in his eye. “But even still, best we take him out before he develops a workaround for my new move.”“Precisely. First, secure our safe zone, where the team who are sent to battle Moro or anyone attempting to take down a high-priority target can retreat to with Instant Transmission and recover. Thanks to our two healers, Ginyu and Cauilfla.” Tanya says, then her eyes focus on you. “Speaking of healing, General Karn, what happened? And were you planning to fight with those broken ribs?”Well? We need to save Cauli and Ginyu's healing powers for the tournament.” you reply, kneeling down as they rush over. Hands and eyes burning with the cool fires of the Darkmoon's Magic. Both say their healing words together, you feeling that cool, icy magic coursing through your body. Knitting broken ribs back together, letting you take your first full, deep breath since Superman'd broke them. Before reaching out, ruffling both their hair simultaneously. “Well done you two, they're good as new.”“So, what is our plan if our position becomes untenable?” Captain Ginyu asks, steering the strategy meeting back on course. “If our position is too pressed by the other seven universes all coming for us?”“With our backs to a wall, our only choice is to fight.” Cooler answers him, before you speak up.“Six other universes.” you correct, filling Cooler and Ginyu in on the proposed temporary ceasefire between the Sixth and Seventh universes until your two universes are the only ones left in the tournament.“That's a trap.” Cooler replies immediately, scowling. “They want us to drop our guard, and get ambushed by one of their fighters.”“Absolutely correct.” King Cold agrees with his son. “However, for the more chaotic early-stage of this battle, it could prove quite effective. Having to contend with only at most sixty other fighters instead of seventy in the opening minutes could make all the difference.”“Hold on a minute here! What's this about a truce with my brother?!” Beerus shouts, springing up to his feet from the chair where he'd been relaxing. “What kind of deal did you strike with him?”“He approached me. Through Hit.” you say, telling Beerus everything that happened. How Hit delivered the message, you took the offer of temporary ceasefire before King Cold, and how the agreement had been reached. As well as the deal to use the Super Dragon Balls to restore whichever universe falls between you both. And as you explain it all, Beerus visibly relaxes. Turning from combative to thoughtful, stroking his chin.cont
>>6309148“Hmmm. He knows he can't beat us, so wants to obligate us to bring him back from the void. Whis?” Beerus asks, the angel looking unphased. “Would it be possible to use the Super Dragon Balls to restore an entire erased universe? Would Grand Zen-Oh even allow it?”“I don't see why not. The Super Dragon Balls are powerful enough to restore every erased universe in this tournament, or even all twelve universes simultaneously. I don't think there's a wish within this universe they can't grant.” he says, but suddenly you get the feeling he's not only speaking to Beerus. The little glance to you, you get the feeling he not only KNOWS about what Chronoa calls The End, but that using the wish to try and fix that issue would be a waste.“Then it's settled. We'll play my brother's game.” Beerus says, as if he were the one agreeing to this deal. “But don't any of you drop your guard around his fighters. This could all still be one of his tricks. My brother doesn't know how to play fair, he's always tried to cheat me.”“Well said, Lord Beerus.” Tanya replies with a nod, then addresses everyone. “But, other than that, are there any questions?”Well? Or should we wait, and save our strongest fighters facing him until the end?”“Then in that case I should be the one facing him, Brother. Not you.” Cooler taunts, Freeza smirking at the jab.“Ohh? Do you wish to put that little theory to the test?” Freeza replies, both brothers turning fully to face one another. But, before they can say any more Tanya interrupts, addressing the question directly.“If you kill someone you're disqualified. So, with that in mind, I think it would be best for our strongest fighters to hold back initially.” she answers. “Once all the small fry, those weak enough to die accidentally are all out of the ring, THEN we can start utilizing our universe's strongest powers and warriors to their fullest. Can't lose either of you to some universe's weakest fighter dying because of your power.”“I could see a cowardly universe doing so, hiding behind weakness and the rules instead of winning through strength.” Cooler replies, crossing his arms.“Indeed. A coward's ploy, but given the rule set this tournament operates under, quite a clever ruse.” King Cold answers. The conversation continues, strategies for dealing with increasingly obscure scenarios. But as the meeting continues, your mind turns back to two faces. Jiren, and Moro. The two Amazo had warned you about, wondering how you'll best them. But in the midst of Tanya talking about handling what to do against a being who inverses your speed, suddenly Whis speaks up.“If everyone is ready, it is time.” the angel says, the mood IMMEDIATELY shifting. Expressions turn serious, then from nowhere a dark portal opens, and the slime from Chilli's world, Rimuru steps through.“Sorry I'm late, ran into an issue back in the village.” the androgynous being says, but something about this slime feels... Different. “Hope I'm not too late?”“Just in time. We're about to leave.” Whis says, looking over everyone. “Any last-minute issues or things our champions need to do before it's time to depart?”Well? Different. “Hope I'm not too late?”It’s about the slime. This is about whether Karn notices what is wrong with him. He saw the Devourer. I know it’s probably not it, but the possibility of it happening suddenly and without warning is unsettling. Or maybe he is under a mind control spell by another universe. It’s probably not it, but you never know… or it’s an impostor. Someone took him out and delivered an impostor. We have a traitor or should I say an agent of another universe in team. I hope I am wrong about all of this.
>>6309190“Yeah, I have one question.” you say, kneeling back down, drawing your Soulstone out of your boot and holding the shiny green, uneven gemstone up in your hand. “Taking this along wouldn't be against the rules, would it?”“Oh? A Soulstone? Interesting.” Whis says, and somehow just... moves. One instant he's beside Beerus, the next he's right in front of you, looking down at the gem in your hand. With no movement in between. You fight the urge to flinch, muscles tensing as he smirks ever-so-faintly at your reaction. “Hmmmm. No, knowing the rules this should be perfectly within reasonable limits.”“Good to know. Never know, might need all the energy stockpiled in this thing.” you answer with a nod, kneeling back down and tucking it back in your boot. Where you notice in your other boot is the dragon bone dagger your son'd carved for you, drawing it out and handing it over to his daughter, Meloka Wolbach. “Mind keeping this safe for me until the tournament's over, kiddo?”“Woooaaaaah! Cool!” she exclaims, taking the dagger in both hands like a sword, eyes sparkling. “I'll take real good care of it!”“Ah, right. No weapons.” Rimuru says, taking a sword on his hip and opening a portal in the air, sending the sword through it. You aren't sure where that portal went to, and aren't entirely sure you WANT to know. But, as you stare at the slime, you know something's definitely different with him. So, focusing your ki sense, you study the slime. Trying to figure out what's different now. Rimuru, as if sensing your gaze turns, smiling at you. “You can sense it, can't you? That I've become something far greater than I was before. I'm no longer just a slime, or even a demon slime. But I'm now Rimuru, the True Dragon Slime.”“True Dragon Slime, huh?” you reply, wondering what all that entails. But before you can ask further, Rimuru suddenly splits.“This is Ciel. Call her, well, my other half.” Rimuru smirks, the being looking like another Rimuru. Only with crimson eyes, a more feminine face, and wearing a single piece of long white cloth like a robe.“Oh?” Whis suddenly asks, turning to face the slime. “I see. Most impressive, Rimuru. I hadn't thought you'd reach this level for years to come. But for now, best you combine yourselves back together, like Captain Ginyu with his team over there. It's time to depart.”“Right.” Rimuru says, but before they merge back, Ciel points a single finger directly at your chest.“You.” it says, everyone going quiet. “You are a threat to everything. What do you use this power for?”cont
>>6309261“To protect my family. To protect my people. And today, to protect this entire universe from those who would see us disappear.” you answers, clenching your fist. “This power lets me resist mortals and gods alike who would threaten us and our way of life.”“I see. That is a good answer.” Ciel says, walking over to you, and offering you its hand. “I am Ciel. It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance.”“Likewise. Let's give it everything we've got, to protect our universe.” you say, shaking hands with the other half of the slime. Sharing a nod, it then releases you, going back to Rimuru and merging back together. “Alright everyone, gather up! It's time.”“Yes. No time to waste. All contestants, and those who will be attending in the audience, please gather up.” Whis says, as those who are going separate from those staying behind. The Kai also suddenly appear, no doubt accompanying you all for the tournament. And once everyone's together, Whis calls out. Looking up into the sky. “Greetings, Grand Priest. The warriors of the Seventh Universe have assembled and are ready for transit.”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs27Ok6aNAI“Standby, please.” comes the Grand Priest's voice, as a blinding white light suddenly engulfs you all. The energy encompassing you all lifts your group up into the air, as those staying behind call out.“Good luck, everyone. We're counting on you all to bring us victory!” King Cold calls out.“Go Daddy! Go Grandpa, and Grandma, and aunties!” Meloka Wolbach cries out, waving the dagger you'd asked her to hold.“Please, be safe.” Megumin calls to Chilli, you seeing the determination blazing in your son's eyes.“Don't hold back, Chaya. Show them. Show them all what it means to fight for the universe. With everyone at your back.” Tanya says, your daughter holding a camera and nodding to her. Several other voices all call out their cheers and wishing you all luck, and in a flash, everything disappears. Hopefully there will be things, places and people that are very interesting.>>6309190>But in the midst of Tanya talking about handling what to do against a being who inverses your speed, suddenly Whis speaks up.That is such a niche thing. If only I had access to the highlight reel...>Do you think the Seventh Universe has what it takes to prevail, or will another Universe be crowned the winner of the Tournament of Power? I can think of more than one way things can go belly-up for us. But I believe in the strength of our friends and family. >>6309263Win or lose, I'm ready to show the other Universes exactly how we get down...minus the copious amounts of hyper-violence. I'm also ready to pull a "world of cardboard" on Banner when he starts acting up.
>>6309263I'm curious as to Plastic man's reaction to all these super serious anime people compared to his usual day to day activity. And how good a signal Batman asked him to carry and record stuff with is gonna hold up in the tournament. He's been awfully quiet this entire time. Oh, and did the Archive lady Rimuru have snatch a piece of Berserker God for cataloging? This has been a long time coming man. Cant fucking wait.
>>6309288I second the world of cardboard speach to Bruce. Considering he might know best how hard it is to function as a Berserker. Sidebar, I REALLY wanna chat with him after the tournament and give him the tricks of the trade talk for being big and green while still being in a team.
>>6309263Oh yeah, what's Plastic's reaction to our kids and grand kids, does he have a favorite already?
>>6309322Tangentially related, but if the Berserker Soul in Universe 6 is linked with Gamma in some way, I think that might been EVERY Berserker in that universe puts out Gamma radiation. To that end...I think somebody should run a Geiger counter over Kale sometime. >>6309329Hey man, just because its green doesnt mean its radioactive
>>6309331Sure, but if a Gamma mutate is the dominant Berserker in that universe, I worry about how that might affect the others.

But remember, he can break worlds with his bare hands.>>6309321As a good judge of character, and from reactions to his antics, he's got a pretty good judge of everyone on the team. >>6309366>You don't know WHICH Hulk you'll be getting. This is true. We have no idea how Banner's personality has developed in this timeline. For all we know, we might be dealing with The Devil Hulk, or maybe even The Green Scar.Or maybe Banner's mind has been consumed by the Berserker Soul entirely. God I certainly hope not, otherwise Universe 6 might have pic related to deal with down the line.
>>6309366>You don't know WHICH Hulk you'll be getting.Doesn't matter; we'll turn him into the scaredy little bitch that MCU Hulk was after Thanos gave him the smack-down. Djem So Karn makes Thanos boxing look like a girly slap-fight.
>Injustice GOD FUCKING DAMN IT. Ugh, we need to keep a closer eye on DC Earth after the Tournament of Power.Killing the Joker ourselves is good. Telling Superman about the Dragon Balls is good. The fact that Batman also knows we're serious about reviving everyone is good meaning he'll be inclined to be nicer. But Superman is still going to feel awful about this for a long time and we need to have someone there to stop Wonder Woman from trying to push him to be more authoritarian.
>>6309467>and we need to have someone there to stop Wonder Woman from trying to push him to be more authoritarian.I mean, DO we though? I wouldn't be too fussed about Superman dropping the mamby pamby morals thing, just so long as he knows the chain of command. DC Earth IS the PTO's property now, remember?
>>6309501I mean fair, but I just don't want a Superman who decides that killing Billy Batson is a good idea.
>>6309517I'm sure Ubo wouldn't approve of that type of behavior and would be more than willing to make that known to Clark.Sidenote, I have to wonder just how skilled Supes is now if he was able to beat Ubo and Galatea both into submission. Even if he caught them by surprise and was under outside influence, that's no mean feat.
>>6309366>You could, but perhaps there was good reason they were erased and that's been kept quiet. Now I’m even more curious about them. What could be the reason? Either way an innocent wish “Bring back all erased Universes ” would restore them all. I’m really tempted to make this wish. It is also plausible that Zeno might erase those problematic six universes right away again, though that would be pic related. Could Mechikabura tell something about their story? Chronoa would know for sure. Whis most likely knows, though would he be willing to tell? If it’s been kept quiet, then he might not want to reveal it. It’s a really interesting topic nonetheless.
>>6309376>>6309439All I'll say is this Hulk is nowhere near as weak as MCU Hulk.>>6309467But do you though? >>6309727So back to what another Anon was talking about earlier with Plastic Man hanging out with our kids; has he realized they've all taken lives before? As a father himself, I imagine he'd have something to say about that, even if he doesn't quite understand the context of living as a Saiyan on New Salda. Also on the topic of "Earth"...Kori and Broly are still looking for a place to settle down, right? The planet needs a PTO rep anyways if Cooler's going to claim it as part of his domain and keep it that way, so why not one of the few who could realistically keep a Kryptonian in check?
>>6309742I'll back this, see if Ubo minds being an uncle for a bit, help his nephew out while they settle down. And if anybody shows up, Broly can gain experience with a bunch of weird opponents and use it as training for his self control. Batman would get a kick out of finding that out and taking him under his wing.
>>6309727>All I'll say is this Hulk is nowhere near as weak as MCU Hulk.I'm mostly unaware of the MCU wider universe and whatever its continuity is outside of a couple of references; was he really bitched by Thanos that hard?>The symbol of hope shouldn't be the symbol of fear.I guess that's true. Would be very bad for morale and happiness on that planet. It might not be our business if people are feeling down, but increased risks of rebellion and instability caused by that ARE our business.>Superman is repeatedly shown to be the strongest Kryptonian, and with what happened, unlike them he wasn't holding back trying not to hurt a friend. We gotta drag Ubo back into the gym bro>>6309742I'm not so sure about Broly and Kori settling on that Earth. DC Earth tends to attract a lot of trouble that even Ubo has difficulty keeping up with, despite the obvious talent on the planet. I'm not sure if thats the peaceful life he and Kori are looking for. Then again, you don't solve anger issues by never having anything to get angry at, right? Going from 0 to 100 is a lot worse than going from say, 40 to 100.
>>6309761>was he really bitched by Thanos that hard?https://youtu.be/bCiT6psniYc?t=43There's a reason this motherfucker never got his own standalone movie, and it isn't just rights issues.
>>6309742No. He knows they clearly have the potential, considering how strong they are.>Kori and BrolyThey have their place. Their fleet of pirate ships they've taken control of, and Broly's second-in-command is one of the Kig-Yar survivors of the Siege of New Salda. Who Karn saved from drowning way back when.>>6309753Broly absolutely would NOT let his kid go with Bruce.>>6309761See >>6309766, they beat me to the reply with that video. Thanos didn't even use the stones' powers to win, just raw power and hands.Correct. The reason the PTO doesn't get hands-on with planets unless absolutely necessary is that as long as they're working, best not interfere. The difference between Superman and other Kryptonians even under yellow sun influences is he didn't use his powers for DECADES. His 'tank' of reserve power, from living in Smallville for so long before moving to Metropolis and using his power, is absurd. Think of it like him having multiple Soulstones inside him he can draw upon to empower himself mid-fight. Extra reserve tanks of energy to use in emergencies.>>6309766The scene did its job, made Thanos look like a real threat in a way beating Thor or Loki simply didn't.
>>6309777I never said for Broly to go with Bruce, I said Broly to go hang with Bruce. Because Bruce is the master of non lethal.
>>6309778Broly's kid*>>6309777fucking thing removed that part
>>6309766That reminds me how none of the MCU films seem to remember Hulk can straight up fucking regenerate. The MCU took all the most fun shit from all the characters, honestly. Thanos didn't even know any magic, y'know, Thanos, the guy who famously is an occultist? Nah make him a science nerd instead who doesn't even actually do science shit either, he's just a mathematician. Fuck outta here. If the MCU wasn't shit they'd have had Hulk whaling on Thanos in that scene until he started casting shadow wizard spells and doing dank magicianary to win. They bitched every character. Some harder than others.
>>6309777>>6309778>>6309779But an idea I just had, Broly seems to have good tactical aptitude, maybe he can talk to Tanya and turn himself into a tactician, since he's good with his fleet. Give him his own niche to fill.

>>6309784>That reminds me how none of the MCU films seem to remember Hulk can straight up fucking regenerateThat's a fun trick for sure. Pic related.
>>6309792Not even that one, the earlier ones. Though that one is indeed a very neat party trick.

And speaking of intent, Clark was also shocked by your blatant disregard for the Joker's life. >>6310108>No, you should know who out unga's the bunga. The biggest and greenest.I didn't realize we were that guy, but hey, I guess it makes sense with everything we've been able to do.
I know this will probably never happen, because Lobo would probably not want this, but if hypothetically one day he would show up at Karn’s and Meloka’s training lesson and said that from now on he will attend every lesson. Afterwards he would put his 100% effort and dedication into training. Giving his all into the hardest gravity training, mastering fighting techniques and styles, trying to learn and master the use of Ki energy. If all of this would happen, do you think he would be someone who’s power level increases rapidly and significantly from this training? Would he become much stronger? Would he be a prodigy like Freeza? How do you think he would fare in this situation?
>>6310108>It's more like an officer program, meant to bring the best and brightest into the military.I think getting into the nitty gritty of how the PTO works is a really underrated avenue for writing. >>6310157>get told a guy just blew up a city>people are shocked when an immediate reaction is to straight up kill the fuckerI get being a moral person, but for fuck's sake when a monster is in front of you - you slay it. There is no amount of "If you kill a killer, the number of killers in the world remains the same" bellyaching retard philosophy that should ever stop a good person from getting rid of truly rotten people. "B-but muh I might start killing lots, where do we draw the line?" USE YOUR FUCKING MORAL COMPASS JESUS CHRIST. It's like people can't conceptualize that no, killing a total psychopathic mass murdering freak will not make you decide to start beheading people for jaywalking unless you are already a fucking nutjob barely hanging on to decency. And yes I understand going through traumatic events can fuck you up, losing your wife and kid is a valid crashout moment. But people like Batman have no excuse. Looking at you, shitty comic writers.
I mean frankly its probably a good outlook to have. Following rule of law is important and all, but if a criminal is sentenced to death row, then escapes, I dont see a reason a Hero has to take them in alive when they've already been consigned to death by Rule of Law. Also Batman really needs to get a book on the PTO's rule of law.Which is neat and summed up as>The Cold Family>Karn>>>>>Everyone Else of importanance>Rule of Law of your native planet. As Text to speech device said. I AM THE LAW.
>>6310175Technically, since Karn legally outranks everyone there as an acting military general, coming to collect an asset for the galaxy at that, being told, this guy just committed a grievous terrorist attack, the fact he was summarily executed is so normal that its flabbergasting that it actually becomes a point of conversation. Hell, we, only a weekly basis, wiped out planets for less, and it was our job as a soldier to do so. But never out of malace when its someone just doing it to fuck with someone.
>>6310115I meant the biggest, fuzziest green who even beat you.>>6310116There is at least one timeline where Lobo, after meeting a certain Kryptonain from your universe, learned a certain technique. But a death sentence over a single person's accusation is wild to him.As Joker said, he wanted an easy game for once. And he almost won, if not for the literal Fateless being interfering and changing destiny. Not the Joker's, but perhaps the others' fates will be different now. That's what the Phantom Zone is for. So the morally righteous don't "kill", but eliminate threats nonetheless.>>6310163Batman's the exception, because he straight-up admits he's fucking CRAZY. The only thing keeping him in line is his no-kill rule, without it he'd devolve. But Superman having the same bad day as little Bruce, losing those he loves, broke him. However, despite fully intending to do it, seeing you just kill the Joker snapped him out of his red haze in that moment. The calm indifference to life, unlike his burning rage and desire for revenge, shocked him out of his anger. The main reason Injustice Superman goes over the edge into full totalitarian, after Joker, is not because of his loss, but more importantly Diana's instigating ass in his ear. Story old as time, her name may as well be Eve for how she dragged a good man down.>>6310175That's kind of the point of how fucked Gotham is. Weak and nonexistent DA/judge willing to hammer the crooks, as they're all bought along with the vast majority of cops.>>6310189Yeah Karn's not really been in the same situation before, but as you(as of now) still trust Batman, his word was enough. Something he's DEFINITELY going to consider moving forward. And a certain billionaire, who survived Metropolis' destruction, will certainly reconsider his actions after seeing that interrogation room footage
>>6310207>spoilerHuh. I guess it stands to reason our boy takes the cake in regards to being mean and green, especially after we transcended beyond being fuckass mad.>And a certain billionaire, who survived Metropolis' destruction [...]Yeah I can imagine Lex is gonna be shook when he watches that footage and realizes what it means to earn not even Karn's rage, but just his contempt.
To be fair is it really an accusation? Batman said what Joker did, and Joker laughed while going 'No I only TRICKED Superman into killing his wife and unborn child.'It might not be admissible in court but Joker very much admitted his culpability.Lex realizes hes not gunna go jail if he fails to swing at Karn. Karn will kill him stone cold dead and not give a fuck about his technology, money, influence, or a hypothetically sanctity of life. Which makes Lex alot more likely to NOT try and swing.Dudes too smart to want to die.
>>6310207>Batman's the exception, because he straight-up admits he's fucking CRAZY.Except he isn't. Troubled, sure. Eccentric bordering on psychotic, sure. But simply from how he conducts himself it's very clear he isn't actually a proper crazy person. Him going off the deep end is entirely a writer's crutch to excuse him. There is absolute 0% chance that he would actually go full edgetard if he did start killing people because Bruce is at the end of the day a very moral person. And he always has been, even back when he had an actual Batgun and did actually Batkill people before the comic censorship thing. I'm not saying it detracts from his character to have a super unbelievably retarded stubbornness to his values and choices, I'm just saying the idea that he would suddenly stop being a good guy if he decided to kill people is silly. >Diana's instigating ass in his earThe Injustice series is weird as hell. Since WW isn't really like that, either. A bit totalitarian sure, but even she's still an ethical person and wouldn't steer Clark to massive tyranny if she saw he was going a bit dark with the advice. Granted, different universe, so, different character. Still.
>>6310207Shit, Lex must be thinking of all the times he met Karn, if he even knew a fourth of the shit Lex pulled on this planet, He'd be dead on the spot. Hell, what's his reaction to seeing Superman break to the point HE almost did it himself, and if not for Karn, would have done it. And most importantly, with Karn on the planet, how is The Question, handling Karn's presence post END meeting?
>>6310207Is Batman even really aware of the regard Karn has for him? And understand what that actually entails as compared to the wider universe? People would murder for that kind of acknowledgement from his kids, let alone the man himself. We really need to find some time to bring him over to New Salda to chat. Even in, no, especially in a casual setting, Bruce is gonna have his mind fucking blown.
>>6310214Bingo. You've gone beyond rage, he's gone to the biggest angriest rage. Not even contempt, but judgment.>>6310218Admitted by someone you can SMELL the crazy on. But Lex now realizes space plays by different rules. Rules he's going to be determined to learn and rules lawyer his way through much as possible.>>6310223Depends on which version in my opinion. Some he's straight up talking to Alfred's ghost which is only a figment of his imagination, acting as his conscious. And he's always been -FUNCTIONALLY- crazy. He's not gone off the deep end in most stories but realizes how tenuous his hold on reality is. It's only his determination which keeps him going. His MISSION is what sustains him.Yeah, the animated film of it had everyone acting out of their usual character. Except Plastic Man, he was the best part of the whole thing.>>6310225Lex thinks that's the most human Superman's ever been. And unlike Joker, who wants to see people break, Lex seeing Superman snap was TERRIFIED. And quite thankful you talked him down, reminded him who he's supposed to be by telling Clark to HELP people.>The QuestionHoooooo boy. He's on the cusp of understanding. Just a few more pieces need to fall in place and he'll understand.>>6310230Somewhat, but not the extent.>mind blownHis body first. He's the pinnacle of humanity, but still human. New Salda'd crush him, 20x gravity's no joke. Even Plastic Man couldn't hold his shape initially, took him several moments to adjust his molecular structure to withstand the pressure. No ancient Tibetan monk technique will save Bruce from that pressure.
>>6310231>He's on the cusp of understanding. Just a few more pieces need to fall in place and he'll understand.Oooooh, that's fucking bad, like, really fucking bad, Question turning into an Acolyte would be fucking terrifying. Unless you mean, understanding Karn as a person, which I'd prefer. Having his low key approval would be cool.>And quite thankful you talked him down, reminded him who he's supposed to be by telling Clark to HELP people. Now the big question is, will he learn a lesson and stop being a fuckwit, or is he gonna double down and try a different way to spite Superman?>His body firstWe got tourist areas first, and we can just teleport him to the ship with adjustable gravity too. Maybe even give him some tips on Ki control so he can actually get strong enough to wander around like the JoJo's. Whom, I want to reiterate, need to get together for a chat at some point. Hell, once we give him the basics and send him a standard gravity chamber, Bruce can handle the rest. Hell, maybe even have the Meeting at our granddaughter's Earth instead.
>>6310207>No, they've been exposed to little of how it actually runs. But a death sentence over a single person's accusation is wild to him.We had one good look at him and saw that he was crazy *and* a clown. We have a policy for crazy clowns.>However, despite fully intending to do it, seeing you just kill the Joker snapped him out of his red haze in that moment. The calm indifference to life, unlike his burning rage and desire for revenge, shocked him out of his anger.Clark probably flew off to a mountain somewhere to cool off and hopefully thought "Holy shit I do NOT want to be that kind of guy">Yeah Karn's not really been in the same situation before, but as you(as of now) still trust Batman, his word was enough. Something he's DEFINITELY going to consider moving forwardHe's going to have to come up with an entire legalese statement on the spot whenever we find some doofus trying to blow up the city while we're getting ice cream or whatever.>And a certain billionaire, who survived Metropolis' destruction, will certainly reconsider his actions after seeing that interrogation room footageLex is absolutely quaking in his boots, knowing that all Batman has to do is tattle and Karn would blow his dome clean off as casually as breathing. And probably counting his lucky stars that Superman not only goes easy on him, but came back from the brink of adopting our "no prisoners" mentality. The biggest question that's going through his head as he watches that footage though is probably "Is there ANYTHING I can do about THAT guy?". And the answers he came up with are less than ideal.
>>6310236>We had one good look at him and saw that he was crazy *and* a clown. We have a policy for crazy clowns. This too, did we ever talk to them about that time we almost died to a Clown Stand? We need to tell him about that. Oh yeah, we need to tell them about how Amazo is doing, and that he has a friend to go sightseeing with.
I just remembered that our current Moro in ToP predicament is entirely Fu's fault. Mechi needs to spank that boy.>>6310238We have a lifetime's worth of adventures to tell him. I know that Karn would have a killer autobiography.
>>6310235>the hungry hungry thingo tries to corrupt Question>question jots down in his notes "evil space thing wants to eat everything" and starts putting torn and burned papers back together>hadar perplexed by the casual indifference and complete disregard of corruptive influence
>>6310231>But Lex now realizes space plays by different rules. Rules he's going to be determined to learn and rules lawyer his way through much as possible. He better realize the most important rules are, none of the rules matter unless the Cold Clan say they do, and if they don't give approval Karn only needs a personal reason so he best not be given one.
>>6310235>Question turning into an Acolyte would be fucking terrifyingBut would he turn? Man was willing to go down as a villain to prevent Superman's Justice Lord turn against Lex, he's probably the smartest and most rational Leaguer. He still spites Superman. But has realized there are now CONSEQUENCES his money can't buy him out of.The difference is Jojos characters aren't normal humans, they don't even suffer the Bends from resurfacing too quickly off the ocean floor. Hell, Joseph didn't bleed out from an un-tourniqueted severed arm and had a knee melted by the heat of the sun before surviving reeentry. The Joestars aren't normal.>>6310236True, but no one knows it. After all, there's no video or mention of it. Just in case even writing its name is enough for it to reach you.He flew back to Ubo and Galatea, carried them both into space. Closer to the sun for quick healing. But really considering how... Easy it was for you to take a life. How completely normal it was, with no hesitation. Deciding if he wants to become so callous to life or not.>And the answers he came up with are less than ideal. And the answers he came up with are less than ideal SO FAR.>>6310238>AmazoThey would be interested to hear. Especially after his... Reunion with Lex, seeing if he's found his purpose.>>6310240>entirely50:50 his and Chronoa's. After all, SHE told them about Moro.>autobiography"Nah, this shit HAS to be fake. Trite 'chosen one' bs, no one believes a random guy just happened to be the legendary Super Saiyan and super important to all of time.">>6310257What it can't corrupt and twist, well... It has... Enforcers. Far weaker minds to break and send after those who resist.>>6310345When he discovers the rules he'll be the dark Apokalypse version of Lex. If he doesn't seek a position of enough power himself in Cooler's empire to have significant authority.
>>6310356>"Nah, this shit HAS to be fake. Trite 'chosen one' bs, no one believes a random guy just happened to be the legendary Super Saiyan and super important to all of time."I think what's funny is if it was an autobiography most of the dramatic stuff would be pretty cut and dry delivered and most of the sentimental stuff would have the most detail put into it. Karn doesn't seem like the type to dwell on details for something so mundane as a struggle for his life or the lives of everyone around him. But Silver's cooking? Mentioned constantly and in great detail kek>What it can't corrupt and twist, well... It has... Enforcers. Far weaker minds to break and send after those who resist. It's less that he's an obstacle and more that he is deep enough in the trenches to just file away an existential threat as another problem of the week. Like putting a gun in someone's face and they just shrug and ignore you. It's kind of baffling to encounter.
>>6310356I want to say without direct possession, Question wont turn, but that exposure would still link him and be a problem. Especially once he gets its undivided attention.>"Nah, this shit HAS to be fake. Trite 'chosen one' bs, no one believes a random guy just happened to be the legendary Super Saiyan and super important to all of time."Look, I know its stupid, I think its ridiculous when I think about it, but I have the literal Goddess of Time and Space on speed dial whom can confirm.>When he discovers the rules he'll be the dark Apokalypse version of Lex. I forgot what that one was like, not like it matters if he gets power grabby, we just no vote him and he can't do shit. >What it can't corrupt and twist, well... It has... Enforcers. Far weaker minds to break and send after those who resist.Which is what I was afraid of...it already has agents here
For something thats been drifting in the endless sea of nothing for trillions of years, the Dark Hunger is moving really quick. Like, worryingly quickly. It found us like a week ago and now across time and space people are losing their minds, like rabies and influenza had a horrible, frightening new baby.
>>6310363True. The family moments would be more the focus. That’s one way to phrase it.>>6310632>undivided attentionNo single being is that important to… Nevermind, not going to say something I know isn’t true. That Lex was a slimy servant secretly doing everything he could to undermine Darkseid’s rule over Earth. Went down swinging against the Paradooms.>it already has agents hereTo be fair, it took it like a hundred-ish years to get close enough to even START corrupting minds.>>6310640Remember, Conton City is over a hundred years ahead of your timeline. A hundred years passed, now a week, between you breaking reality and it getting close enough to start affecting the timelines. Time travel’s fuckey like that.
>>6310757>now a weekNot a week. This is why I quit phone posting.
>>6310207>There is at least one timeline where Lobo, after meeting a certain Kryptonain from your universe, learned a certain technique. A style from Akuma.I did not know what you are talking about, so I watched this whole 43 minutes video>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0qlE2YGGDs&t=1516s to educate myself on topic of Akuma. I think what you are hinting at is Satsui no Hadō "Wave Motion of Murderous Intent". I must admit that this is something that befits Lobo. It is also terrifying to imagine Lobo using Satsui no Hadō. What a powerful warrior he could become with this. It’s fascinating.>>6310214>Huh. I guess it stands to reason our boy takes the cake in regards to being mean and green, especially after we transcended beyond being fuckass mad.Karn used to be biggest and greenest, but now he is teal.>>6310231>Bingo. You've gone beyond rage, he's gone to the biggest angriest rage.Karn’s new power seems very icy. I find it very interesting.
>>6310951Just remember, in this timeline branch he's also a Kryptonian. So he'd survive teaching someone powerful as Lobo.It is a fun power. One you've only started to tap into, and haven't seen it's true extent yet.
-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 247 Epilogue-AGE 780, UNIVERSE 9's WORLD OF THE KAIS“What do you mean, he's not dead?” Roh asks, a hint of panic in the Kai's voice. “If he's not dead, why are you here? You were sent to the Seventh Universe with a very specific task!”“B-Because he sent me back. With a message.” the boss of the Ninth's premier assassin troupe, who only answers to 'Boss' replies. Looking far more intimidated than before. “After he and his wife killed all my men.”“What?!” you reply, shocked.“ALL of them?!” Roh screams, his voice on the edge of panic. “How did you escape?”“I told you. I-I didn't escape. The Saiyan, he-he spared me. Only let me live to tell you what happened. And to give you a message.” Boss admits, you and Roh sharing a look. You then turn back, addressing the failed assassin directly.“Very well. Tell us what happened, before you deliver the message.” you tell him, the kneeling assassin nodding before looking up, narrating the events of the botched assassination attempt. He explains how he and his minions, delivered to the Seventh by your angel Mohito, set up in the forest as he scouted Karn out. Only to somehow be detected, Karn and his wife chasing him down. Leading them into a clearing, surrounded by his people only for most to be wiped out. And then, when he used YOUR Hakai you'd entrusted to him to ensure the job was done, he ABSORBED it!“He WHAT?!” you exclaim, surging up out of your seat in shock. You are Sidra, the Ninth Universe's God of Destruction. And after your universe's, and by extension your own, humiliation at the a Zen Expo, you'd 'hired' your universe's most feared, ruthless, and deadly band of assassins to go after the Seventh's strongest fighters. Starting with the big one, Karn, and even entrusting him with some of your own Hakai, your energy of Destruction to permanently erase that damnable Saiyan. “That's not possible! Mohito, can you confirm this?”“Well, let's see.” your attendant and teacher, the angel Mohito replies, projecting the Saiyan's world. Where you see the fight play, watching him overpower your Destruction and seemingly crush it between his hands. Which, is worrying enough in-and-of itself. “Ohh?”
>>6311011“That one's far more of a threat than I'd- Wait. Hold on. You mean you weren't observing this battle directly?” Roh suddenly asks your attendant. Which... Is a good point.“Mohito? What were you doing?” you ask, your tone far calmer despite the circumstances.“I was hiding the Cube, of course. Wouldn't want your lordship to be directly connected to a failed assassination plot of another universe's fighter right before the tournament, would you?” Mohito replies, you thinking it over a moment. And he's right, as he always is. Being implicated in assassinating another universe's warriors could possibly lead to being erased on the spot.“Right as always.” you reply with a sigh to your attendant, turning your focus to the failed assassin and leveling your hand at him. “All that's left to do is ensure no one else knows of this.”“L-Lord Sidra? W-W-Wait, we can talk about-!” the assassin boss begs pathetically for his life, but he knew the cost of failure before he undertook this mission.“Hakai.” you say, creating another Hakai with the same power you'd once given to the assassin. His eyes wide with terror, he tries to catch it as you'd all seen the Saiyan do. Only to be consumed instantly, screaming in terror as he vanishes forever.“Now what do we do? If that Saiyan blabs to Grand Zen-Oh, it could be the end of us all!” Roh shouts, grabbing his head in a panic. “I knew this was a bad idea!”“Hold on, this whole operation was your idea.” you retort, but as you see the panic in his eyes realize he's not listening. So, you instead turn back from where the assassin was erased, turning to face the fighters you'd managed to gather for your universe. “Listen up everyone. This is it. The fate of our universe now rests solely on all of your shoulders. You are not allowed to fail, you have seen the price you'll pay for failure.”“We won't fail you, Lord Sidra.” Bergamo, leader of the Trio de Danger replies, bowing before you. “My brothers and I will do whatever it takes to ensure the Ninth Universe emerges victorious.”“I leave our universe's fate in your capable hands. Mohito?” you ask, turning back to your attendant. “Is it time?”“Yes. It's time.” he replies, you nodding once. And as he calls out to the Grand Priest, a blinding white light engulfing yourself, Roh, Mohito, and your universe's best and strongest warriors, you close your eyes, sighing out. It all comes down to this. Your fate is now in the hands of the mortals of your universe.-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 247 Epilogue End-
Short epilogue this week, just enough to really whet our appetites for what's coming. ToP starts this weekend, are you ready?
>>6311011>you'd 'hired' your universe's most feared, ruthless, and deadly band of assassinsTHOSE guys were the top dollar? And by the sounds of it, they were doing this assassination thing one-by-one. Forget the powerlevels, these guys are morons.>“Hakai.” you say, creating another Hakai with the same power you'd once given to the assassin. His eyes wide with terror, he tries to catch it as you'd all seen the Saiyan do. Only to be consumed instantly, screaming in terror as he vanishes forever.Sorry little pup, but you're not Him.>It all comes down to this. Your fate is now in the hands of the mortals of your universe.I wonder if the other gods regret leaving the morties to it and slacking off on the job. Or if they're even aware of their shortcomings. I don't remember much about the others, but I recall one small, hairy GoD's universe being spared from the tournament of power for doing a good job.>>6311015Big or small, epilogues are always appreciated. I'm surprised that U9 even went for that gamble, knowing that getting caught would erase them for sure AND of how infamous Karn is for doing a lot of audacious shit, most notably Champa's tale of getting punched in the tummy. I'm surprised they didn't go for Ginyu or Chaya instead.
>>6311013Oooooh, you are all fucking clowns then, good to know. I want to bring everyone back just to kick his ass next.>>6311015My body is ready, even if I might be out at the time.
We're now under 24 hours to go until the Tournament of Power begins!>>6311031The Ninth isn't a strong universe. But they were also unaware of Karn's instincts. Some universes are far more confident than others in the ability of their mortals. Usually those with the slimmest chances, aside ftom the 11th.It's either gamble on his fighters who he KNOWS will lose to U7, or on the assassins who COULD have succeeded. Was a lose-lose, and he's accepted his fate.>>6311236Ha!
>>6309366>Wonder if he found a new power...?How intriguing. Cooler uses Freeza’s race transformation and Gold form as well. If he managed to push it further I am very curious to see it.>>6311009>It is a fun power. One you've only started to tap into, and haven't seen it's true extent yet. I can’t wait to find out more. It seems so interesting that from the burning rage that is linked to the Berserker transformations one can go into something as chilling, icy and different as Supreme Instinct. I know Broly was not in a state of mind to really witness it, when he under Baby’s mind control turned into his Emerald Apex Berserker Saiyan transformation. I think it would make a big impression on him. That’s why I am very curious about what he will think of the path that Karn is following and it’s results. I hope he will watch the tournament and that no Zamasu will interrupt him.>>6311013Good epilogue and as for their future in the Tournament it looks grim.>>6311015>ToP starts this weekend, are you ready? It’s time. I waited so long for this. I am ready.
Soon>>6311282We'll see. Perhaps soon.Without Chronoa's support, the Zamasu aren't nearly as much a threat. As for Broly, we'll see. He'll certainly have more pressing matters to attend than watching the tournmaent.Remember, in canon the 9th was the first to go.
Its time! >>6311532
