Dhav steps out of the changing room in an outfit she herself finds nice. A black, long sleeve sweater with a tan knee high skirt, black flat bottom shoes, and something the Americans call ‘’+Leggings+’’, a kind of thin and stretchy undergarment for the legs made from a exotic fabric. Red helped by adding a small silver triangular style necklace with a blue crystal set into it to the outfit that she won from a card game back at the fort. What she had put in the pot- The Wizard knows better than to ask.

‘’The necklace really draws it all together’’ Dhav says as Rowan walks out after a moment. Herself adorn in a long short sleeve yellow dress with flower embroidery along the bottom and a wide brim white Sun hat.

‘’Not bad not b-‘’ the Paladin started

‘’O YEA!’’ a Dragonborn burst out of a changing room in a bright red suit and a pair of tinted glasses, ‘Sunglasses’ she claimed they were called, Holding her lute in imitation of a photograph of an American bard she seen in one of the ‘magazines’ in the store. Dhav knows that she was going for a dress-like suit until she saw the image of the bard troop. ‘’Might as well dress the part- right girls?’’

‘’definitely far to flashy for my tastes’’ Red says as she steps out in one of those ‘suit dresses’, this one going down to her ankles and a dark black and gray stripe pattern and a brown Ivy Cap. The black leather gloves she worn being the one from her previous outfit. ‘’then again- it suits you’’ earning a silent raspberry from the bard.

‘’You had choices’’ Dula says as she walk out in a knee high tan dress with short sleeves, the only thing that would fit the large mussel bound woman in the store that the Admiral would accept.

‘’Your tall even for our people’’ Rowan stated ‘’taller than any Americans I seen, and it seems like the men and woman of these people are… different.’’

‘’Like one has tits?’’ Olitic jest

‘’other than that.’’ The holy warrior deadpans ‘’I haven’t noticed at the time- but the men and women are noticeably different in hight and build compared to our peoples.’’ Rowan clarify as she look at the shop keeper as she organize a rack of cloths. ‘’It’s more noticeable when they are in groups together- the women tend to be shorter on average, seemly less built and weaker looking.’’ She explains as she flex her arm. ‘’I think I failed to notice because they all together don’t stand out in such regard.’’

‘’Might be cultural?’’ Red muse ‘’they seem to not let women fight.’’

‘’not for the official organizations’’ Rowan corrected ‘’the yellow militia had female members, and there were armed women civilians walking around.’’

‘’The drawing of the historical American army only had men in it’’ Dhav recall as she look over her new outfit in the mirror.

‘’You good?’’ Mr Simmons ask the party, getting nods from the other adventurers. ‘’We go to +City Hall+’’

On the way to the ‘city hall’ Dhav notice a growing number of Americans are gathering. Civilians- most without any identifiable markings of allegiance, many with their families. Soldiers stand guard at select stores while others are being protected by their own owners and keepers, the general mood seems to be peaceful if tense.

‘’Hey- there’s some Yellow Militia over there’’ Rowan says pointing at a group of young men and women, identifiable by the yellow armbands on their arms. Dhav notice that they seem to be talking to a few police officers by what looks like a recently vandalized storefront on the other side of a small empty lot.

‘’I think I see someone tied up among them’’ Elidi says- trying to get a look.

A group of people move allowing Dhav to see a tied up individual sitting on the ground. It look like

‘’I bet somebody thought they could-‘’

Red was interrupted when a glass bottle smashed into the side of the greyhound where she was sitting. Olitic, Dula, and the soldiers both quickly go around and close the open windows as the other party members wordlessly begin to be on the watch for trouble as the vessel slows, trying to avoid hitting anyone.

The driver yell something and slap her wheel, causing it to bellow a noise. This seems to cause a crowd of people to get out of the way.

‘’+I don’t like this+’’ Dhav can hear the Admral says as he survey the seen ‘’+there’s more people than expected+’’

The general volume, destiny, and activity of the crowd began to rise, focussed on a mildly ornate building three stories high, the central wing topped with a bronze dome. The American flag fly proudly at the top of the dome while the walls are made of a white brick. On the top of the flat roof are some soldiers armed with larger and longer rifles, seemly patrolling. On the ground the police officers maintain order in the front yard by forming up lines between several groups of Americans. Tho the groups seem to be identifiable by various iconography and dress, with the white clad ‘Clan’ being immediately identifiable. In general it dose not seem to be a protest or riot… yet… but how close and volatile it is, the party would need a moment to look at the situation to make sense of it as the greyhound comes to the stop where the crowd been cleared, tho under orders of the Admiral the driver is hesitant to open the doors for a moment.

Looking over the crowd, Dhav estimates that this gathering easily numbered more than ten thousand people. Men, women, and children looking for answers and in anticipation of what is happening. Some are shouting slogans or demands while others seem to be connecting to people they know or being actively recruited by the various groups.

For now- the groups seem to be keeping their distance from other groups, their members working to ring in those who would try to incite conflict among the other groups with various amount of willingness.

The smallest of these are represent by what looks like less than a hundred people, of those unmasked seem to be mostly young adults and older teens, using red to signify their allegiance to each other, of the picket signs they have sometimes contained the iconography consisting of a hammer and sickle laid on each-other like a English ‘X’. They seem to be among the most boisterous for their size, mainly against the white robed group on the other side of the clear walkway and most seem to be masked.

‘’+Mr Simmons?+’’ Rowan asks the English teacher/interpreter. ‘’Who are the red guys?’’

The man sighs ‘’+communists+’’ he says ‘’most kids from my +collage+ and others. Good hearts, not good heads’’

On the other side of the clear off walkway is the white robed men surrounded by what look like supporters, in total seem to number a few hundred, perhaps three hundred. Dhav noticed glances of some of them being armed, weapons concealed under jackets. The group makeup seen to favor male tho the robes can make that seem ambiguous to the wizard. Tho the ‘Communist’ seem to be a mixture of the various kinds of Americans, these white robes men are-

‘’They are all white’’ Rowan observed.

‘’they the Klu Klux Klan , or the +KKK+’’ The same American Professor says, giving the group a name ‘’bad people, no like blacks. few before Flash in Lincoln, few in Abraham’’

‘’And apparently don’t like ‘wonderlanders’ eaither’ Elidi added.

‘’Also most of their boots- they are not from this city’’ Red states ‘’worn and simplistically distinctive…. If I have to guess the bulk of those guys are from somewhere more rural.’’ The rouge added. ‘’Some rich farmers would order boots made for their work. Tho plenty of other Americans not with them also look like they could be such wealthy farmers’’ the rouge continued while the Admiral seems to be relaying orders using a radio.

The next group is the ‘’Yellow Militia’’ Rowan encountered yesterday, they seem to be more spread out and lean heavy with what the Paladin had described as ‘asian’. The wizard now recognizes it as a similar human expression as those from the far eastern contents but she seen ‘black’ and ‘white’ mixed in as well as a mix of men and women, all identifiable by yellow bandannas. They seem to be actively keeping an eye on the Klan not so much on the Communists. They are probably numbered in a few hundred but it’s hard to tell with so many around storefronts. A group of them even set up a table for recruitment on a wood and metal wagon pulled by an American car.

Olitic snorts in amusement at the recruitment table ‘’Aww the old ‘Wagon loophole’. Seen plenty use that to get around rules on selling stands’’

‘’+Active Community Watch+ or +ACW+’’ Simmons label them ‘’new, acted during the Flash Panic against riots but caused issue with soldiers.’’

‘’There’s some of the thin stripes- the Mob’’ Rowan says, pointing at a American car with some of the Mobs leaning on it, one of them can be seen carrying some kind of instrument case. ‘’They have control of some of the port, but I’m surprised I don’t see more of them’’

‘’The +Italian+ Mob are- umm, +criminals+, not legal, bad’’ the interpreter added.

‘’They have bards?’’ Olitic asks ‘’I wonder what American battle music sounds like?’’

‘’That maybe hold +Tommygun+’’ the man says pointing at the case.

‘’Sounds to me like the Mob is a Thieves Guild’’ Red added

‘’Great- I may have pissed off the local equivalent to the Thieves Guild’’

Everyone else seems largely unaffiliated with the groups. Rich and poor, gathered in equal measure concern about what is going to change, what is going to happen, and to give voice to their concerns and anxieties. Many of them are holding up signs- of the few English words Dhav recognize she seen their word for ‘God’ pop up fairly often, a word these strange people use when talking about their only god.

‘’If things get violent, there will not be enough police’’ Dula states plainly. ‘’It feels like it can turn into a riot on a drop of a hat…’’

‘’+alright+’’ the Admiral says ‘’+We need to get inside quickly.+’’

Dhav quickly grab her sack containing her robes and line up with the others, the doors open and everyone other than the driver speed walk down the path cleared of people. All of the Americans look at Dhav and her companions, tho Elidi look human- Red and Olitic clearly standout as something other than human, several Americans hold strange devices that flash lights at the adventures. There’s shouts and gasps, slogans mixing in with some yelling that Dhav recognize as insults even without the language barrier, the cacophony making it hard to pick out even singular English words from the crowd.

‘’+Hello Ladies~+’’ the Dragonborn says flirtatiously to a trio of American women who immediately recoiled.

‘Not to loud to hear someone get shot down’ the Wizard muse to herself.

‘’Forgot to mention’’ Rowan piped up ‘’Americans don’t like gay stuff’’

‘’Prudes’’ the bard in defeat before she smirks ‘’well- the red head definitely prefers scabbards with how she looked at you Dhav.’’ Earning her a roll of Dhav’s eyes.

After just a minute the group is inside, passing by a group of soldiers protecting the redwood doors.

The small lobby opens into hallways that run the length of the building with several doors leading to a number of rooms, the first thing the party notice is what look like a display for various artifacts. Hanging on a wall and behind some glass is several rusted tools, various different rifles, maps, drawings, cloths, books and even a metal canteen. Above the display is a oil painting depicting a floating American woman in flowing white cloth, carrying a book and a spool of string leading a large group of Americans who seem to be preparing the land for settlement, leaving behind them what looks like a American city. The rest of the walls of the lobby have other paintings, some of American warships or military triumphs, others of what look like imagery from religious texts or portraits of people.

‘’that’s… concerning.’’ Elidi asks as Dhav notice the darker left side of the painting, wild animals who seem to be being chased off, namely an entire herd of buffalo. But most striking is a small group of humans of reddish-brown skin dressed differently from the Americans. Them being placed among the wild beasts sit- wrong with the Wizard.

‘’+Alright+’’ the Admiral say as he organizes some papers ‘’+The Meeting will be in a half a hour. Thank you for agreeing to this.-+’’ before he go into a sentence Dhav and the others couldn’t understand.

Apon seeing the confusion Mr Simmons translates. ‘’He is sorry about many people and their words. We expected half at most.. also he want to remind you that we are here to answer questions from the representatives and to show them some magic.’’ He say- seemly sorry himself as the Admiral go down one of the hallways. ‘’any questions?

While Dhav ponder for a moment she notices Rowan looking inquisitively at a particular painting depicting a man holding two stone slabs while preaching to a large group of people.
