Some potential effects of the alternate history:The .277/.280 rifle (the one in Atomfall), FAL, & stupid-ass bullpup rifles would have been adopted post-WW2 by American forces (under Britain).Anti-Irish laws could still be in effect.Canada & America would be merged as one country after the defeat of France during the Colonial Era; Napoleon would not have sold the Louisiana Purchase to the US, thus there could be another French holdout territory besides Quebec & Cajun Country.All food tastes terrible.Total gun control instated pre-WW2 due to the risk of anti-war agitation.The queen was still a useless cunt.

I've never been to the fatherland, so I can't really comment on how it is now, but almost the whole canon of foods that you will find in supermarkets is derived from English origins. It's literally the "Fish don't see water" meme when talking about English cuisine. It's everywhere and it's the default.
