You are a DUCK. You live a good life and enjoy a diet of worms, pondweed, amphibians, seeds, and of course, the occasional spattering of bread.Life has been slow at the pond.>What do?
>>6346319>EAT A WORM. WAIT, NO, EAT TWO WORMS.
>>6346319I wonder what the other ducks are up to.>Find a friend

>>6346323>>6346325>>6346326>>6346327>>6346323You feel a little hungry, so you eat a couple worms you fish from the soft ground at the edge of the pond. Looking at your reflection, you realize that you are quite possibly the most duck-like duck you've ever seen. Perhaps there's a chance some human taxidermist will keep your form preserved once you die. That's a morbid thought.Slurping down some worms, you consider also munching on some seeds, from the water plants, but another thought bubbles up in your head."Where is everyone else today?" The pond is looking pretty sparse. Usually there's at least two other ducks on the water, a handful of others chatting, strolling about. You turn your head and you see a rather beefy duck with an immaculate set of abs and a rippling pair of pectoral muscles. He's being ogled by his female orbiters, as usual. He seems friendly, and whenever you cast your gaze his way he gives you a cherry grin and a wink. You've seen this guy before plenty of times but you never felt like talking to him. Perhaps today is different.>What do?
>>6346332He seems like a cool guy. Maybe he can help us find a new hobby?>Ask him for lifting tips. And where ducks can get dumbbells

>>6346339>>6346347>>6346348You know what? What the heck. Might as well try talking to the guy. He's been nothing but welcoming to you, even though you've stayed pretty aloof. Feeling a surge of confidence, you decide to give the dumbells on the ground a try. You strain and groan, but you're only able to lift the heavy weights a couple inches off the ground. The girl ducks nearby giggle at your expense, but the muscled duck chides them quickly. "Don't laugh at him, dudettes. This little dude has some real guts to try and lift that, day one!" He drops the weight he held in his wing and reaches out for a shake. "Nice to meet you little bro. I'm Jeff. The ladies are Lily and Ruby."The girls reluctantly wave in your direction as you shake Jeff's hand."Where did you get these duck-sized dumbells?" You ask, feeling Jeff's super-rock-crushing grip on your poor fingers. You try not to wince in pain.Jeff laughs and releases his grip. "Mmm, behind some dumpster. Or was it at the junkyard? I can't remember."Junkyard? Dumpster? Those are things that exist pretty far away from the pond, where grass doesn't cover the ground. The beefy duck recognizes your look of shock and smirks. "What? You've never been outside the pond before? How about you and me go on a little walk to the junkyard. Maybe we'll find something neat-o there."You feel a warm sense of accomplishment, having befriended this muscled and kind-hearted fellow.NEW FRIEND GET: [ JEFF THE MUSCLE ]>WHAT DO???

>>6346361>>6346374>>6346386>>6346442You decide to follow Jeff, and he leads you to one of the far edges of where the green grass grows. You've never been this far out, honestly. You've never needed to. The pond has everything you could ever want - or at least, you think so.Jeff motions to a towering wooden fence, where some of the bottom pieces of two boards have been broken off. "Here we are, little dude. You go first, and I'll bring up the rear."You can't help but feel a little anxious. "You do this often? Coming all the way out here, and beyond, that is?" You try and conceal your apprehension, but Jeff can somehow see right through you."Little dude," He smiles. "It'll be alright. I'm right here with you. I know it's hard to push yourself, but facing your fears and expanding your horizons is the only way you can really grow." He looks at you in the eyes. There is no disappointment, no judgement, nothing like that in his voice. "Hey, if it's really too much right now, I'll take you back to the pond. No worries." He nods. You clear your throat. "A-Hm." For some reason that does little to calm your nerves. You have an unexplainable gut feeling that once you cross that fence, your life is going to never be the same again.>Face your fears and keep going with Jeff. Nothing will ever change, otherwise.>Wuss out and go back to the pond.>Alternatively suggest exploring the rest of the green places.

>>6347675They might be busy with Yule preparations.
>>6347675You can't rush art, anon. Good things come to those who wait, little dude! ;)You follow Jeff through other green places, until you come to a strange area where there is no more grass, and only flat rock covers the ground. The floor feels strange and coarse under your tender duck feet, but you push through it. You don't want to look like a wuss in front of your new friend. You see a lot of strange sights that you hardly even have the words to explain."What is this place?" You ask. "Are we at the junkyard yet?" The hard ground is beginning to really make your feet sore.Jeff smirks. "Almost, little bro. This place is where the long-steppers live. You know, the large ones that feed us bread sometimes?"You've never heard anyone call the giant creatures long-steppers before. "Oh uh, yeah. Those guys. They have all this land?""Yeeeep." Jeff nods. "This might blow your mind, but the green place we live in is located in the middle of their land. Anyways, keep your head up. We're almost there!"You sigh and keep walking. Eventually you push through another hole in a different wooden fence, and take in the new view. Large, large hills of strange objects piled and stacked and piled up on one another block out almost half of the sky and cover the horizon. The air is sour and sharp here. You cover your bill and heave. The stench is like nothing you've ever smelled before."Yeah, you'll have to get used to the aroma. I'll give you some time to catch your breath and take it all in. I have something I want to show you.">Beg to go back. This is too much for a normal duck like you to handle.>Steel your nerves! It's time to stop being a wuss and show some initiative. Tell Jeff you want to look at these strange things littered about.>Catch your breath and let Jeff lead.>write in

>>6349716>>6349820>>6349958>>6350059You catch your breath and try and focus on some of the shapes you're seeing. Most of them are black round-ish things, but there are other objects that especially stand out."Hey, I think I want to look at some of this stuff." You practically force yourself to speak through the horrible stank. Walking over, you slap on a cube-shaped thing nearby. "Do you know what this is?"Jeff nods. "Pretty sure that's a picture box. The long-steppers like to stare at them. The pictures and colors change, and they make noise too."An image? Like a reflection? You know a couple ducks who enjoy looking at their own reflection in the pond, so it's not too hard to imagine a thing that shows you different images, you suppose. You waddle over the hills of junk and climb up on to the large red thingy. You're surprised at how soft it is, and it feels absolutely amazing under your sore duck feet. You sigh in relief.Jeff seems content to watch from afar. "Pretty cool, right? This place has all kinds of awes--""MREEEAOOOWW!" An ear-splitting cry rings out, and an orange furry creature with triangular ears and sharp claws pops from between the cushions of the giant soft red thing you're standing on. The creature pulls itself up, eyeing you. "Ahaaa? A cute little ducky snack walking right up on my bed? What luck! Mwahaha!"You are paralyzed in fear. The only other creatures you've met at the pond and the green place are other birds, frogs, and the occasional squirrel. Despite this, something deep inside you tells you that the animal in front of you is a dangerous predator to ducks!Your first instinct is to freeze. Your muscles feel as stiff as a board, and your heart is pounding in your feathered chest!>Stay as still as possible. Maybe it'll get bored and leave you alone. Heck, maybe if you try hard enough, you'll become invisible.>RUN. RUN. RUN!>RUNNING ISNT GONNA WORK, YOU IDIOT! FLY! FLY!>Despite your best instincts, try and fight.
