Grand Zen-Oh, the omni king and ruler of the omniverse has declared there will be a massive tournament to be held in his honor. A grand affair between several universes, each battling it out for the very right to exist. And at the forefront of this grand spectacle will be the Saiyans of Universe 7, who Grand Zen-Oh has grown fond of watching battle. Twenty eight years ago, the Saiyan race were annexed into the PTO as just another race, one of many sent to conquer other worlds. Now, the Saiyans are widely regarded as the strongest warrior race in the entire Seventh Universe, defenders of the PTO led by their strongest, the “Dragon of New Salda” General Karn and his family.

You the players will (most often) control Karn. A man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to well over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the best hope for his universe's continued survival. No one warrior can hope to battle eight other universes' strongest fighters alone and hope to prevail, one man's power and skill won't be enough to overcome the looming threat of extermination. But this coming battle will be the ultimate test of how you've lived your life until now, the choices you made not only for yourself, but for the fate of your entire universe.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After the Tournament of Power's conclusion and Karn's wish for all the erased universes to be brought back, with some exceptions, everyone returned to their own universes. Only for Amazo to find Karn and warn him Moro somehow survived, and is now the Destroyer for the Tenth Universe. But, even more surprisingly, Zamasu arrived before him. Thanking Karn for helping him see a new path forward. Not as the bane of mortals, but instead to make 'better' mortals. And after a night of celebrating like the old days, Karn and everyone go to Ubo's adoptive world to resurrect Metropolis. Only to find the Justice League under attack from a new Amazo, one you all with Plastic Man's help defeat. Following Batman halfway across the planet, he leads your group to the League of Assassin's headquarters, the city 'Eth Alth'eban hidden deep underground. And as we rejoin Karn, you get your first look over the sprawling, massive underground city.

“Woah...” Karn Junior says, eyes wide as you all stop. Staring out over the massive underground network, with a prominent statue in the middle of a man holding the single light source. Which seems to be a miniature sun, you glancing to Ubo. Who shakes his head slightly, confirming that whatever the light is, it isn't natural sunlight. Despite feeling the warmth on your skin like the sunny day above in the desert's heat. “There's a whole city down here! Just like back home, except there's still people living here!”
“Yeah.” you reply, a sense of dread rising. These powerlevels down here are of a grade higher than the mortals of the world above, at least of the general populations you can sense.

“So, should we just remove this problem here and now?” your wife asks, raising a finger as she gathers a pinpoint of ki at the tip. Glowing menacingly, as you know she'd obliterate this city without a second thought.
“No. We have to make sure Ra's al Ghul's down here first. Then, find out what his plan was, recreating Amazo.” Batman says with his usual scowl, looking out over the city. “And better yet, how he did it. To make sure no one else can also replicate that android. Or more planets than just this one could fall to it.”
“Can we explore the city, before we blow it up?” Junior asks innocently, clearly wanting to see more of this underground city up close.

Well? What do you do?
>Agree with Meloka and obliterate this whole city. Nothing good comes from groups of people hiding their misdeeds underground
>Follow Batman's lead for now, you do want to make sure if you decide to kill him you actually get Ra's al Ghul. Don't want another villain running around like Nefarious did

“Maybe kiddo, depends on what happens.” you tell him, reaching down and ruffling your kid's hair as you turn to face the cowled man. “We'll follow your lead for now. I do want to make sure we actually get him. Don't need another Dr. Nefarious situation.”

As you say this, a shiver runs up your wife's back, the dark knight's eyes narrowing at your reactions. Noticing even how confused Junior looks by this, but also Ubo's sudden scowl as well. Something he'll no doubt remember as he then draws something from behind his back, firing a grappling hook. Which hits on a stalactite, Batman swinging out into the air over the city. Cape billowing out like the wings of a predator, your son's eyes widening a moment at him.

“Woah...!” he says, eyes wide before you all lift off into the air, flying after him. The dark knight's swing takes him down from the overlook down to the main promenade into the city. And your group draws several dozen pairs of eyes immediately as you all do, the crowd scattering before Batman. Who lands in a low crouch with his cape around him, it looking almost like a liquid as he rises back up to his full height. His cape wrapped around his body almost like a dark liquid armor. But as everyone else moves away, one figure doesn't retreat. Wearing a leather jacket over dark armor, his head fully encased in a bright crimson red helmet. And immediately his body language turns aggressive, taking a step forward.

“What the hell do you want, Bats?” the figure asks, voice distorted through the helmet's speaker. “Whatever it is you think I did, I didn't-”
“Not here for you. Not today.” Batman replies, you sensing the slight edge of anger in his voice as he talks. Yeah, these two clearly have history. Personal history. “Where's Ra's?”
“Busy. Whatever you have to say to him, you can say to me.” he replies, the man clearly close to this 'Ra's' figure. But just as you're about to speak up, Ubo beats you to it.

“He tried to kill Superman.” Ubo says, the gathered crowd muttering at this declaration. But as this exchange goes on, you feel your eyes drawn off to the left. Turning, looking down a dark alleyway, you see a hint of gold. What looks like a golden helmet, and your blood runs cold as Ubo continues to talk. But you don't hear him, Berserker God aura suddenly blazing as you surge towards that shine. Dashing over the crowd and past the figure, turning and sliding to a stop at the other end of the alley, cutting off both figures' escape. Who both turn, one wearing a black and orange face covering, and the other, unmistakably, is none other than the deity who tried to have your son assassinated!

“Nabu.” you snarl, and as you do the wind from your dash catches up to you. Washing over Nabu and the other man. Staggering the human, Nabu's cape blowing around him from the breeze you whipped up with your super speed. “How the hell are you still alive? I watched you die!”
“Karn, son of Tatsu.” Nabu says, turning to you. As does the orange and black-suited man, hands going reflexively to his weapons. But as he sees you, suddenly you see him visibly relax. Instead of addressing you the figure turns back to Nabu.
“You're on your own. You can't pay me enough to fight him.” he says nonchalantly, turning his back on you both and walking back out into the open. Silence hangs between you two, your fists trembling with barely-restrained rage.

“Karn! That's enough. He's on our side.” Batman calls, you blinking in surprise at the words.
“What? After what this monster's done? He tried to have my son murdered!” you snarl, aura blazing higher as the sandstone cobblestone beneath your feet shatters as your power swells. “You think I can just let him go?”
“He already died for his crimes. He was given a second chance to redeem himself.” Batman says, his tone hard, commanding. But then he quits addressing you, instead addressing Nabu. “How goes the search?”

“Deathstroke knew nothing. He spoke honestly.” Nabu replies to Batman, neither of you taking your eyes off one another. The tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. “We're at a dead end.”
“Dead for one of us.” you reply, clenching your fists tighter, your rage threatening to burst forth. But as you draw deeper and deeper into your rage, suddenly you feel your body starting to tap back into Supreme Instinct. And cold clarity washes over you as you straighten yourself, Nabu backing away as he immediately senses the change in you. And as you speak, your voice is no longer strained. But calm. Eerily, overly calm. Like the surface of a frozen lake, your words laced with frost as you address him again. “Disappear. Or I'll kill you again.”

Your voice, spoken with such cold certainty has Nabu acting IMMEDIATELY. An ankh shape appears of his magic behind him, Nabu vanishing with his teleportation spell. You can still sense his energy distantly, up near the surface. Proving to you that this place isn't one you can simply teleport out of. But knowing he's fleeing satisfies your frigid anger, and with a sigh power back down. Not dropping all the way down out of your Berserker God form too, but letting this icy power fade away again until it's needed.

“Now THAT's how intimidation is done.” the red-helmeted figure says from the alleyway entrance, giving you a slow clap. “The old man could take some lessons.”
“Mhrm.” Batman grumbles in response as the helmeted man approaches you. And, surprisingly, offers his hand with a, “Call me Red Hood, General Karn.”

“You know me?” you reply, but still take his offered hand. Gently wrapping your hand around his entire forearm, applying as little pressure as possible, yet you still see in his body language as he winces. “So. What now?”
“You want to go see Ra's, right? I'll take you to 'em.” Red Hood says, pointing back over his shoulder with his thumb. “Follow me, I'll lead you there.”

Well? What now?

“Why?” you ask him, stopping Red Hood in his place. “Why do you want to help us?”
“Us? No, I'm not helping some 'us'.” he answers, and even through the helmet you can feel his expression darken. “I'm helping YOU. Because you did what HE-!”

Red Hood points accusingly towards Batman, not turning his helmeted face from you as he continues.

“-never would do. And kill that fucking psycho. Like. He. Deserved.” Red Hood says, real heat in his voice now. “Tell me, you're clearly a dad: if some monster even tried to kill your kid, much less succeeded, what would you do?”
“Ask Nabu. He died for sending an assassin after my son.” you reply, Red Hood nodding before whirling towards Batman.
“See? That's what a REAL father would do!” he shouts, voice full of anger and pain. “A real father wouldn't even let the vacuum of space stop him from avenging his kid! But you? You let that fucker walk free Even after he killed me! Didn't even irreparably break his arms and legs, so even if your 'oh so righteous' morals kept you from actually killing him, at least stop him from hurting anyone else! But I guess you never really saw me as your son, did you Bruce?”

Silence hangs heavy in the alley, as you all look to Batman. Who looks as stoic as ever, unmoving in the face of Red Hood's anger. And now you understand why he's so angry, why he's so willing to help you. But what you don't get is why. Why that man, who you hadn't realized was a father, would EVER let someone who hurt his family like that live, much less go unharmed. And as you look at him, you can feel any respect you had for him disappearing. Whatever moral code he has that keeps him from avenging his family's deaths is something you're not interested in.

“Is that true?” you ask, Batman not immediately answering. The silence stretches, before Red Hood again speaks up.
“Well? Aren't you going to preach your morals at him? The one who had the balls to do what you could not?” he asks, tone still furious. “Tell him it's 'wrong' to kill psychopathic murdering, irredeemable lunatics like that sadistic fuck?”

But Batman still doesn't answer, remaining still and silent. Which clearly gets under Red Hood's skin, as he's about to take another step forward towards him.

“Enough, we can do this later. Right now, I'll follow you to Ra's al Ghul.” you tell Red Hood, who turns to face you. “Lead on.”
“Right, right. Mission first.” he replies, taking a calming breath before turning and walking straight out of the alley. “I'll show you the quickest way to him. Follow me.”

Red Hood leads the way back out of the alley, you following with Meloka and Junior. Batman doesn't immediately come with you all, as he remains standing there. Ubo, you see glance between you all and Batman before taking a few quick steps and rejoining your group, leaving the cowled man by himself as you follow Red Hood. Quiet hangs over your group, until Junior flies up, hovering by Red Hood.

“Was that your dad?” he asks innocently, Red Hood sighing out.
“He was, once. I looked up to him like a father. But when I was captured by the Joker and beaten to death before getting blown up, it was Ra's al Ghul's daughter, Talia, who saved me. She brought my body to the Lazarus Pit, and brought me back to life.”
“You died too? Just like big bro Chilli? Where are your wings?” Junior asks, confused. “Or did you lose them too when you were brought back to life?”

“Wings...?” Red Hood asks, confused. Looking to you, and even through his mask you feel his confusion. So, as he leads you all through the streets you tell what happened to Chilli in the tournament, how he was killed by his own attack and raised himself from the dead as a death god. And then, once it was over Freeza brought him back to life.
“Brought him back to life, just like we'll do the people of Metropolis killed by that monster.” you finish up, Red Hood nodding approvingly.
“Good. Those innocent people didn't deserve to have their lives ripped away by that monster.” Red Hood says to you, then back to your son. “No, didn't have wings when I died. But, when I was brought back, the Lazarus Pit made me stronger.”

“Ohhhh, so that's why you're stronger than other people here.” Junior nods, as if he understands. Then the two stronger powers over there have to be Ra's and Talia, right? If they used the pit more, it makes them stronger, right?”
“What?” Red Hood asks, looking at your son pointing, then to where he points. “That's... How did you...?”
“You can't sense energy?” Junior asks innocently, tilting his head sideways. “But how else do you see who you're fighting behind that big helmet?”

“I have... Other ways.” he replies, clearly surprised at the ki sensing ability. But what now? You know where Ra's and Talia are, presumably. Which just leaves one question:

What do you do?

“Let's hurry and get this finished up. We need to get Junior back soon, to help his sister rebuild that city.” you tell him, Red Hood nodding and continuing forward. Leading you all down a nondescript alley, to an unmarked wall. Pressing his hand to a hidden switch, which slides into the wall with a click. Revealing a doorway that slides open, also seamlessly.
“Stay close. If you're with me, there shouldn't be any trouble.” Red Hood says, glancing to Ubo as he reconsiders something. “Actually, you'd better be right at my right. Just in case.”
“Of course.” your old friend replies, the two leading the way inside. You let Meloka and Junior follow them, bringing up the rear. But before you go through you glance back down the alley, not seeing any signs of Batman before stepping inside as well.

The door closes behind you, and suddenly you feel the ground drop. This secret room, which you now realizes is an elevator, descends down further. Descending for about twenty seconds before coming to a stop, opening into a wider room. One where, immediately, about a hundred men level metal and wood weapons at you all, rifles of some sort.

“Easy boys. They're with me.” Red Hood says, hands up, palms out towards them as he steps forward. “Here to see the boss.”
“You bring not only outsiders, but offworlders to this sacred place?” one asks, accent thick and heavy. “You dare?”
“I dare. Would you rather let them talk with the boss? Or let them make what happened to Metropolis look like a gentle breeze in here?” Red Hood replies, and after a couple tense seconds everyone lowers their weapons. Standing aside, and letting you all through. “That's what I thought.”

“What're those?” Junior asks, flying over to one. Your son's speed catching the guy off guard, who nearly levels his weapon on reflex. But before he can you blur to him, grabbing the barrel of the weapon. Metal groaning as your bare hand bends and warps the metal, the guy's eyes widening. “Some kinda weapon?”
“AK forty sevens.” Red Hood says, walking across the room while answering your kid's question as he then turns to you. “What do you say, want to give the kid one?”
“Can I? Really?” Junior asks, eyes wide as he turns to you. “Can I get one? Please?”

“Maybe as we're leaving, not yet.” you tell him, your son and you rejoining everyone else as Red Hood leads you deeper into the complex. Down and down, arriving at another elevator. This one going up, and as it opens, you find yourself in a rather ornate, spacious room. Where two beings, a man and woman await.
“Welcome to 'Eth Alth'eban, General Karn. Meloka. Ubo, and... Sorry, I do not know your name, little one.” Ra's al Ghul says cordially. “Who are you?”
“I'm Karn Junior!” your son replies, puffing out his chest, fists on his hips. To which the man, who you can tell at just a glance is dangerous, laughs. Not a cunning laugh, or a staged laugh. But a genuine, grandfatherly laugh. One you recognize as a laugh not too unlike your own.

“I see. You certainly have your father's eyes.” the man says, turning to you. No hint of malice or anger there. “General Karn. A pleasure to finally meet someone as important as you, face-to-face.”
“So, you're Ra's al Ghul?” you ask, the man placing a hand to his chest, bowing slightly.
“At your service.” he replies smoothly, rising with a small hint of a smirk. “To what do I owe the pleasure of a personal visit from the personal representative of our planet's new ruler?”

As you look at him, at this being, suddenly you have an idea. And with a thought and moment of focus, you activate your Dark Gaze. Staring down at him, watching Ra's al Ghul's eyes narrow slightly as he no doubt sees the change in your eyes.

“Ra's al Ghul. Why did you create a construct as potentially destructive as Amazo?” you ask him, meeting his gaze. “And why did you deploy it against the Justice League?”
“Why did I create a weapon? The same reason anyone creates a weapon. The same reason you train your body so diligently.” he says, you not sensing any deception from him as he stands tall, hands going behind his back. Standing like Lord Beerus does, surprisingly enough. “To enforce my will, and to prevent others' will from being enforced upon me.”
“Then why did you send it to attack the Justice League?” Ubo suddenly shouts, taking a step forward. Talia, presumably, reaches behind her back for something. But is stopped as Ra's raises a hand casually, dismissively. “That monster nearly killed Superman!”

“It would not have killed him. I merely sent it as a... Test run. Once it had rendered all of you so-called heroes unconscious, the android was to return here with all of its combat data.” Ra's says, unshakably cool in his demeanor. “But it would seem our otherworldly friends are never more than a blink away. And, before you ask why I hadn't sent a warning before, well. If you knew that machine wasn't there to destroy you all, would you have fought it so intensely? Pushed it past the breaking point, and showing me the weaknesses of the design? Speaking of, it was a clever move, by Plastic Man. His abilities are the most... Troublesome to plan for.”
“Wait wait wait. You rebuilt that android Amazo? The one that nearly killed the League back when Lex found it?” Red Hood asks, sounding shocked and more than a little horrified.

“No, at least, not the same level as that godly machine. The late Doctor Ivo's nanotechnology is something I do not have access to. Lex does not keep any physical records of that tech he discovered, leaving it only within his own mind as he's destroyed every physical trace of Ivo's nanotechnology research.” Ra's al Ghul says, shaking his head. “No, I was forced to re-engineer it with what knowledge and records I could discover from Ivo's collaborators and friends. As well as help from another source, who has also gained access to a different, but still impressive cyber technology. Allowing me to create lesser, but still powerful androids based off of the Amazo framework. All to do what you so-called heroes cannot do: protect this world.”

“What?” Ubo asks, tone a mix of offended, curious, and insulted. “What do you mean by that?”

“Darkseid. Doomsday, the Thanagarian invasion, Brainiac, General Zod, Starro, the White Martians. Each and every time the world has been invaded, millions have suffered before you all were able to best them, to repel these invaders. But yet, despite the casualties they caused, every time, they have gotten away. You all can stop these threats, eventually, but no true justice gets carried out.” Ra's al Ghul says, clearly growing more impassioned as he speaks. “Only when our otherworldly friends, like the General here arrive do the threats to this world face true justice. Like Doomsday, or Joker. Irredeemable monsters who should be put down, for the good of everyone else.”

“But that's- We just can't-” Ubo starts, you glancing to him. Seeing the conflict on his face, something you're not used to seeing.
“General Karn. The people of this world need true strength, strength like yours to protect them. And those currently protecting this world are woefully inadequate for the task.” Ra's continues, turning to you. “But your arrival, that first time showed me the truth. You cannot bargain with evil, with monsters who seek only to conquer and destroy. They must be destroyed, utterly and completely. And to that end, I have started this new android project. If you would allow me, I would show you my vision.”

“Father?” Talia asks, eyes going wide. “Do you mean-?”
“Of course. Our friend, General Karn here. Or his wife, or even their son could have destroyed this entire city the moment they were through the doors.” Ra's answers her casually, turning and going to another door. Opening it and revealing another elevator. “They did not, because they seek the truth. And I wish to show it to them. Only... Ubo, you cannot come with us.”
“What? Why?” Ubo asks, suddenly suspicious. To which Ra's, still the picture perfect host continues.

“The room would kill you in minutes, at most. Between the Kryptonite and Red Sun lamps, you'd be so weak I would be afraid for your health.” the man says, his tone seeming to be genuinely apologetic. “Talia will let you join our conversation, at least hearing it, through the camera feeds so you won't miss what I will be showing them. Shall we?”

And you look from the elevator to Ra's inviting gesture, not sensing any malice or ill intent from him. But can you trust him? Should you?

Well?

I don't think Cooler would ever let us hear the end of it if we destroyed whatever's down there without verifying what it actually is. I'm sure Frieza is also extremely curious as to what this ace-in-the hole is.
Also I'm glad that Ra's understood that we're trying to be diplomatic here. Pic extremely related.
Anyways...what could it be? The Kryponite and Red Solar lamps might imply that it's a Kryptonian specimen, but those could also just as easily be simple safeguards to prevent Kryptonian intrusion. But that brings up the question of what would you NOT want a Kryptonian to see or have access to?

I'm sure we do, but he could just as easily be blowing smoke up our ass right now. That line about "[...]others' will from being enforced upon me." feels like it was tailor made to appeal to Karn specifically. He DEFINITELY knows more about us than just surface level observations.
>we've been very forgiving of some foes like the time patrol and the sangheili
True, but that's only because Karn knows it's the leadership of those respective factions that are the root of their hostility towards him. Also don't forget that we've just as often wiped out entire organizations, species, and planets for crimes far less damning than a potential army of Amazos.

“Sure, we'll come along.” you reply, giving your wife a small nod. Who returns it, placing a hand on Junior's shoulder. If anything happens, she'll take care of him. And you'll handle whatever's down here, if it proves to be a trap. Your subtle glances don't go unnoticed, as Ra's actually nods approvingly before turning his back on you all and stepping inside. “Stay alert, Ubo. Never know who's watching.”

Ubo nods at your instruction as you, Meloka and Junior all move to go inside. But Ra's raises a hand at Red Hood, stopping him.

“Before you head down, I'll need you to disarm.” Ra's tells him, Red Hood's stance immediately becoming aggressive. “Not all of the prototypes down here are finished, and will... React violently towards openly worn weapons.”
“Then I'll stay up here, keep the big guy and Talia company.” he replies, giving you a small nod before backing up. The elevator door then shuts, and you feel the ground fall out from under you again. Weight shifting, you ride this elevator down. And down, and down, far deeper than the other one. For over two minutes you all descend, Ra's standing in silence, the rest of you wondering what will be beyond the door when it opens. But as the elevator comes to a stop, the door doesn't immediately open. Ra's turns to you, his expression serious.
“Some of these machines may be... Malfunctioning. I don't expect you to hold back, should any faulty machine attempt to harm you and your family. However, please keep collateral damage to a minimum.” Ra's says, tone slightly apologetic. “The technology can be...uncooperative, at times. Which is why the need for the testing. As well as the containment protocols.”

And as he says containment, the door begins to open. And as it does, the ambient red glow illuminating the room beyond is the first thing you see. The door fully opening, you see a large, open room with machines humming that remind you of Arctus' droid factory. And more than a dozen MORE of the Amazo-looking androids. Who all freeze, turning towards the elevator door in perfect sync. Ra's al Ghul steps forward first, boldly, without hesitation. And all the machines watch him, as if scanning him. Then they all look past him towards you, their postures shifting subtly.

“They are guests.” Ra's commands, and with that declaration they all go back to what they were doing. And at the far end of the room, next to a cylindrical sort of machine reminiscent of something you've seen before, but you're not sure exactly what or where, stands a figure with his back to you all. But at Ra's voice the figure turns, and you see a man. A half man, half machine being who immediately makes your skin crawl. “Brother Blood. We have company.”

“Well now, this is quite the surprise. The otherworldly conquerors, come to our humble home.” the cyborg says, spreading his arms wide in a welcoming gesture that makes you uneasy. “Welcome, to the future of Earth.”
“Thanks to Brother Blood's knowledge of advanced cyborg technology, and Doctor Hamilton's genetics work with Kryptonian DNA, we have managed to take the next step forward for the protection of our world.” Ra's al Ghul proclaims, gesturing towards the android-looking machines. “Behold, the new Amazo!”
“Wait, they're... Not entirely machines?” you ask, suddenly surprised. However, as you focus your ki sense, your jaw drops as you're filled with a sudden, horrific dread. That machine looks familiar because it IS familiar. Down to there being a ki signature within, just like aboard the Big Gete Star all those years ago. “No, this... It, it can't be...!”

“D-Dad?” Junior asks, his tone worried at your shock. But you can't look away, sensing the powerlevel inside the machine, controlling it.
“There's no way. There was a second one?” your wife asks, both men turning their gazes on you both, curiously.
“A... Second... One? The one called Brother Blood asks, looking confused. But Ra's, seeing your worried expressions immediately turns worried as well.

“General Karn, what is it? You seem as if you've seen a ghost.” he says, approaching you cautiously. “Are you alright?”
“Where-? How did the Big Gete Star survive?” you ask, the name not registering. “How is this thing still around? I destroyed it!”
“Big Gete Star? General, I do not know what you're talking about. But your sudden worry has me concerned.” he says, seemingly genuinely upset with your reaction. Upset, and... Scared. Seeing your reaction to his collaborative creation and reacting so has clearly spooked him. Even Brother Blood looks worried, though far less so than Ra's.

But what do you do? What do you say?

“What you've built. I've... We've faced it before. And it nearly drove our people to extinction.” you tell Ra's, who freezes. Eyes going wide with shock. “It was called the Big Gete Star. A floating space station of metal, one with a living being acting as its core. Allowing the station to recreate its previous bodies with metal, creating titans of terror.”

As you talk, your wife uses her mastery over her ki to create an image of the mecha lizards that invaded New Salda, with tiny to-scale Saiyans underfoot of the massive monster and its energy breath.

“That station came to our world, attaching itself to our planet to drain it of resources in its ever-expanding quest for raw materials.” you continue, remembering the scars your father had after the battle. How they'd nearly killed him, how even you and your wife couldn't fight through the hordes of monsters and were captured. Brought inside to be tortured for the pleasure of the madman Dr. Nefarious who directed it at your people. “We... Barely survived. If I hadn't tapped into this power, the strength and fury of the Berserker Soul... Our people would have been exterminated. Erased completely, and forgotten to time as the monstrous Big Gete Star continued its travels, consuming ever more worlds to feed its forges.”
“How did you overcome such a monstrous creation?” Brother Blood asks, expression determined. “If they were so great, how did you best it?”

“Simple. My longtime nemesis, Dr. Nefarious, had one of his machine bodies inside the Big Gete Star, steering it towards his goals of revenge. And instead of killing me and my wife outright, had its monsters bring us deeper inside so he could gloat in person. Straight to the core, where the biological core was.” you reply, pointing at the machine. Where you can sense a living being inside, something stronger than anyone non-Saiyan in the room by a WIDE margin, even stronger than your son too. “And as that bastard tortured my wife and I, he...”

Your voice trails off, the memories painful even all these years later.

“As it was electrocuting us, it also brought up displays through the eyes of its many metal bodies. Showing me the torture of my race, even going after my young children. I...” your voice cracks, remembering the despair, the pain you'd felt in the moment of hearing your daughter beg hopelessly for you to save her. “I almost watched them die. And with everything happening, something inside me broke. And I tapped into this power instead. And with it, I was able to destroy the core, killing that monster that had merged with the machine. Setting off a chain reaction that destroyed the Big Gete Star.”

Silence hangs in the room as you finish speaking, your wife pressing herself to your side. Even Junior's quiet, looking down at the ground as you slowly take a deep breath in, sighing out evenly.

“But the worst part, what made the Big Gete Star such a threat, was that it learned.” you continue, both men's gazes IMMEDIATELY snapping back to you. “Figure out how to damage one machine body? It learns from the encounter. That same attack won't work twice. Find a weak point and tear off an arm? It can then repair that arm, better than before and unable to be severed by the same attack. Destroy one body? The weakness is that it only has one body, and makes an army. The machine's ability to adapt and overcome. No matter what techniques, powers, and abilities we have, the monstrous machine kept getting stronger.”
“Does this machine do the same?” your wife asks them seriously, her gaze and voice iron. “Does this machine adapt in the same way?”

“No. This device is in no way such a massively destructive weapon.” Ra's al Ghul answers immediately. “Such a power would be completely uncontrollable, would grow beyond any measure to contain and destroy us. Not only us, but our entire world. There are too many unchecked powers running rampant on this earth for us to make an ARMY of them.”
“Would be foolish of us to not have failsafes.” Brother Blood replies, but also looks noticeably uneasy. Clearly now doubting the control he has over this machine, over these android warriors he and Ra's are making.

What now?
>Ask what failsafes it has, how they can stop it from becoming the same menace that nearly wiped your people out. And remind them your people are a warrior race, while most of theirs aren't even strong enough to STAND on your planet without being crushed by the gravity alone
>Tell them that this device is too dangerous, that it needs to be taken down immediately. That you can't risk having this machine go rogue and try and conquer the planet, and beyond. You've dealt with the Big Gete Star enough, it doesn't need a sequel
>Let them know that, ultimately, the decision to take this out rests with Emperor Cooler. And once you leave you'll tell him of it, and let him handle this situation however he sees fit

“Regardless, this machine's ultimate fate is up to Emperor Cooler. Who, once I've left, will be told about this.” you tell the two men seriously. “It will be up to him to either allow this to continue, or obliterate it and everyone who knows of what was needed to make it work. I can't begin to guess which path he'll take, this is... Honestly, beyond me. And I'm too personally affected to even begin to offer an objective look at your device.”

Your honest, frank reaction startles Brother Blood, but Ra's al Ghul nods along with your words.

“A wise man knows when his own vision is clouded, and seeks outside council to see what he cannot.” Ra's replies. “For now, we shall continue operations as planned. With a rather... Comprehensive review of all failsafes and safeguards on this power. Your perspective and worry are both appreciated.”
“Junior!” Meloka hisses, you turning your focus from Ra's and seeing your youngest has flown directly up to the machine itself, laying a hand on it as he peers in.
“That little heart in there, beating all by itself.” Junior says, turning his head back towards you all. Expression... Conflicted. “It's lonely.”

“Lonely?” Ra's asks your son, turning to him. “What makes you think this?”
“I asked it.” Junior replies, your young son's expression troubled. “It can't think, not like a person. But it still... Feels things. And it feels lonely, like it's missing something. Like it doesn't want to be in there, but be in a real body.”
“And it... Told you this?” Brother Blood asks incredulously. “The heart?”

“Yeah. Just like this.” Junior says, and as Brother Blood's eyes widen, you realize your son's reaching out to him telepathically. “Like that!”
“Direct soul-to-soul communication...” Brother Blood says, voice awed as he looks down at his metal hands. “I... I see now. I understand. Yes, it all makes sense now.”

And Brother Blood, without another word rushes off to a computer terminal, clawed metal fingers flying over the keys as he mutters to himself. Ra's al Ghul looks to him a moment before turning back to you all.

“You have my thanks, for everything. And take word to your... Our, I suppose, Emperor Cooler. We await his instruction on whether or not we should proceed with our operation, or ceasing all functions.” Ra's al Ghul says to you. The two of you sharing a nod, but as you all return to the elevator, door closing on that room and the memories it reawakened, you look back on your life. On everything you've done, all you've accomplished. Realizing that it is thanks, at least in part, to Nefarious that you've become who you are, and that your family are thriving. Seems his greatest achievement wasn't any of his own inventions, but making you better.

>Ready to leave this city behind and finally restore Metropolis?
Perhaps not so quickly. If Junior's insistent on grabbing a souvenir, I wanna see if we can't get something for everybody.
>Do you think Cooler will permit this experiment to continue, or will he obliterate them all personally?
Brother Blood is definitely getting the axe. He's far too ambitious for his own good and Arctus is more than equipped to take over his project, assuming Cooler deems it fit to continue that is.
>What do you think Ubo's reaction will be, to learn a Kryptonian heart is what's at the core of these androids?
Shock, then anger, and finally when it dawns on him, fear.
>And where has Batman gotten to?
Bats was clearly in his own thoughts, but that's never stopped him from doing his job. I imagine he's gathering as much intel as he can while he's here and compiling it for Cooler.
If the Emperor were to get a third party report that conflicts with what Ra's shows him, that might push the Justice League higher in his estimation by virtue of not lying to him outright.

He just liked the aks. Thought they looked neat.
Perhaps. But Cooler does appreciate ambition.
We'll see. After all, he already knows what's down there.
It's a good question, where he's gotten to. Or WHICH mission he's currently on.

>He just liked the aks. Thought they looked neat.
Polished wood and blued steel definitely have a look to them. It's a shame that he's well beyond the need of such things. That said, most weapons aren't able to scale with the user, but we've seen those that can. Something to think about if he catches the gun bug I guess.
>Perhaps. But Cooler does appreciate ambition.
Ambition is admirable, sure, but it's also incredibly dangerous to those who might run counter to it. Something I'm sure Cold has told Cooler about a thousand times.
>We'll see. After all, he already knows what's down there.
Ah. It's a wonder he hasn't vaporized the place then.
>It's a good question, where he's gotten to. Or WHICH mission he's currently on.
Well the mission better not be "Drown my sorrows in fine liquor and Talia's thighs". I also hope he was smart enough to slip a bug on us before we got separated.

True, it wouldn't be useful. He can evn catch the bullets even with zero effort. But he finds it neat.
Cooler understands, having been on BOTH sides of that equation.
Talia and Red Hood both have... Preventative measures against Kryptonians.

The elevator ride back to where you'd first met Ra's goes in silence, everyone lost in their own thoughts. Even Junior, who's usually far too enthusiastic to stand still for long stays quiet. But that quiet is broken as the elevator door opens to a sight. Ubo, furious, staring down both Red Hood and Talia, both of who are wielding faintly luminous green rocks. Which you recognize immediately as Kryptonite, the biggest weakness of a Kryptonian like Ubo. But even in the face of it, he's still standing, clearly pained.

“-o down there. It'll kill you in seconds.” Talia is saying as the doors open.
“Get out of my way! I-! I have to-! Save her!” Ubo shouts, struggling to move but instead dropping to a knee, gasping for air as his hand covers a slash across his chest.
“What is the meaning of this?” Ra's al Ghul asks, tone full of authority.
“The moment Ubo here learned what's at the core of your machines he was about to fly down there.” Red Hood answers, not taking his eyes off your friend. And you notice his piece of glowing rock is just that, unlike Talia's. Hers isn't just a random chunk of rock. But a small, carved DAGGER of it. And there's blood on the blade, Ubo's blood. And as you see this sight you clench your fists, but remaining calm.

“My apologies for slashing your friend, General, but Ihad to stop him before he destroyed the elevator. It would have triggered a failsafe.” she explains as Ubo gasps for air. “Filling the vault below with lethal gasses, another containment protocol. One that would have killed everyone down there in under twenty seconds.”
“That is enough, put the Kryptonite away. Both of you.” Ra's says, walking past them to Ubo. “I understand how you must feel, but you mus-”
“UNDERSTAND?!” Ubo snarls, and the moment the rocks are away he grabs Ra's by his collar, lifting him up into the air as he stands to his full height. Holding the much smaller man more than a foot off the ground, shouting furiously. “She's down there, and needs my help!”

Well? What do you do?

“She? Ubo, what are you talking about?” you ask him, confused. “Do you mean that heart?”
“Didn't you sense it? That's HER!” he replies with a snarl, turning his gaze from Ra's to you. Eyes furious, but there's something else in there too. “They made her the same way they made Galatea! And now my wife's sister is nothing but a heart beating in the core of their infernal machine!”
“Ubo. If we remove that heart from the machine, it will perish.” Ra's tells your friend, who's gaze immediately snaps back to him. “That heart wasn't built to live on its own, it was grown to be an integral part of the androids. If it is removed, 'she' dies.”

Silence hangs at Ra's al Ghul's declaration, you watching the shock on Ubo's face as the realization dawns. He understands that he's unable to 'free' her, that the heart's life is reliant on the machine as he slowly lowers Ra's back down to the ground.

“I understand that you're rather... Touchy about the subject of clones, and of copies of genetic materials birthing new life.” Ra's continues, making a show of dusting himself off as he addresses your friend. “But rest assured, it is well cared for. And if the ruler of this universe, Emperor Cooler, decides to shut down the program, that heart will still be cared for. I shall consult with Brother Blood and Doctor Hamilton and develop a contingency for... her continued care. I shall reach out to you in that eventuality, to home her. Are these terms acceptable?”
“I...” Ubo replies, unsure. Still clearly conflicted, but giving you a worried glance before reaching out to you telepathically. “You don't think Cooler will just... Kill her, will he? Just destroy the entire system?”
“I do not know.” you reply to him honestly, also telepathically. “I cannot tell you for sure. But, I'll tell him everything, and then we'll have to wait and see what happens. If he tells me he's going to end it, then I'll push to have her turned in to your care.”

Ubo stares for a long moment before nodding, sighing out. Visibly relaxing before returning his gaze to Ra's.

“Take... Take good care of her.” he says, then turns to the other elevator door. “Are we done here, Karn?”
“Yeah.” you reply with a nod, then turn to Ra's al Ghul. “We're done here.”
“Very well. Thank you for your time, General.” Ra's says with another bow, then turns to Red Hood. “If you would escort them back out, I believe they have a Metropolis to hurry along and save.”

“Right. Let's move, people.” Red Hood says, you all piling in the elevator, leaving Talia and Ra's back in presumably his office as you all take the other elevator back down. Down to the room where the hundred or so guards are waiting, but this time they don't even look your way. You see some sparring hand-to-hand, others blade-to-blade, and a few others target practicing with those same rifles. And you follow Junior's gaze to the ones using the rifles, watching them shoot and reload with smooth, practiced efficiency. “Hey, kid. You wanted to try one, right? C'mon, I'll show you how it's done.”
“Really?!” Junior asks him excitedly, then turns to you. “Can I?”

Well? How do you answer?
>Tell him of course, to have fun for a bit before leaving

“Of course kiddo, go have a bit of fun.” you say, reaching down and ruffling his blonde hair. “Just be careful not to break their toys, okay?”
“YAAAAAAAY!” he shouts, pumping both fists in the air before rushing over to the guys with the rifles. Startling them, as he crosses the distance before they can even react.
“Ah-! Wait, hold on a second!” Red Hood shouts after your son, rushing to catch up to him as you chuckle. Then turn to Ubo, whose expression is still far away.

“You doin' alright?” you ask him, Ubo blinking in surprise. Looking around confused a moment before turning back to you.
“Oh, Karn. Right. I'm-I'm fine.” he says, but his tone doesn't sound fine. Even Meloka looks to him as he's clearly struggling internally, while from the corner of your eye you see Red Hood explaining to your son the different parts of their weapon, dropping a part and showing much shinier brass needle-like shapes stacked inside before replacing the piece. “It's just.... That's a living being down there. Trapped and isolated, unable to do anything or even interact with the world. And when your son said she felt lonely, I... Remembered how Galatea felt, when Cadmus collapsed. They were going to “decommission” her too, if I didn't step in and save her. These people, they don't... “

He then turns to face you, expression conflicted as he continues.

“They don't view clones as PEOPLE, Karn. They're viewed as little more than slaves, like... Property! With no will or autonomy of their own.” Ubo says, anger still smoldering beneath the surface as he clenches his fists. Clearly needing to vent, to let his anger out somehow. And as he does, an idea comes to mind.
“Meloka, mind throwing up a Barrier around us?” you ask, turning to your wife. Who raises a brow, curiously. “I think Ubo needs to let off a little big of steam.”

“Heh. Sure.” your wife replies with a smirk, raising her arms and forming a dome-shaped barrier around the three of you in the middle of the room before flashing up into her form beyond Blue. Everyone freezes and turns, except for your son who keeps working the weapon over in his hands. “Don't go full power you two, but this should be enough to hold.”
“Alright then, lay it on me. Hit me with your best shot.” you tell Ubo, leaping back and taking your fighting stance. “C'mon Ubo, show- Khhh!”

And before you can finish talking he's closed the distance in a single bound, right fist slamming into your raised, guarding left forearm. The force of the blow sending you sliding back across your wife's energy covering the floor, the shock wave slamming into her shielding energy. Meloka absorbs the blow with her energy, staying clear as Ubo goes on the attack.

You defend yourself, yet as Ubo attacks, he keeps upping the pace. Attacking faster and faster, swinging harder and harder. Forcing you to fight more and more seriously, until his right slips through your guard. Just under your raised left arm, fist slamming into your ribs hard enough to make you wince, recoiling in pain as Ubo follows up with his left, crashing into your jaw and knocking you off your feet. Crashing down to the ground, bouncing once before sliding across the ground. Rolling back onto your feet, hand to your jaw as you use his punch's remaining momentum to slide back to standing, rubbing your jaw.

“Heh. Good to see you haven't been slacking off.” you tell him, only for you to hear your son's laughter over the noise of consecutive explosions. And, turning your head, you see him wielding one of the rifles in both hands, watching it jump slightly with each burst as it fires round after round downrange. Giggling to himself as he shoots, only for the weapon to run dry with a click.
“Oh, it's empty.” he says after pulling the trigger a couple more times, laying the weapon with the smoking barrel down on the table before turning to Red Hood. “That was fun, thank you!”
“Heh, of course kid.” Red Hood says, and even though that helmet covers his head entirely, you're sure he's smiling under there. “Come back anytime, we'll go shooting again. I'll let you shoot some of the guns from my private collection.”

“Really? Cool! I can't wait!” Junior shouts to him, then turns to find you and Ubo inside the dome of his mother's energy. “Dad?”
“Did you have fun?” you ask your son, rising up to your full height, dropping your fighting stance as you turn to him as your son rushes over, words blurring together as he talks about using the weapon. Ubo does the same, dropping his stance as Meloka ends the barrier around you both. And as a group you all head to the other elevator, riding it back up and out into the underground city. Where Red Hood turns to you all, his tone a bit questioning.
“So, you all heading out? Or do you want to stick around a bit longer, see what else this city's got to offer?”

“Maybe later. Depends on what happens after that city and its people are all restored.” you tell him, Red Hood nodding once. “But for now, they've waited long enough to be revived.”
“Yeah, you're right about that. Undo at least SOME of that clown's many, many heinous crimes.” Red Hood answers you as you all exit the alleyway, emerging back onto the main road. Where there's no sign of Batman, as Red Hood takes the lead. “I'll show you the way back to the surface, you all can fly it from there.”

“Thanks again for letting me shoot that gun!” Junior says, bouncing along with a skip in his step as Red Hood turns to him, nodding once. Yet even without a word, from his body language you can tell he's smiling as he leads. Your son going beside him, Ubo bringing up the rear as you walk side-by-side with your wife. The bustle of the city around you is calming, not the frantic energy of a panicked city under siege but one where everyone's comfortable.
“There. That's the path back up.” Red Hood says, pointing the way as you all stand under the giant statue of who you now recognize as Ra's al Ghul holding up the artificial light source. As if he's holding up the entire city, bathing it in his light. “But you all should come back some time, under less... Urgent circumstances.”
“I will! And we can shoot more guns!” Junior agrees enthusiastically as you all take to the air, your son waving energetically at him with both hands as the four of you now take to the air. Flying back up to the path you'd walked down before, quickly returning back to the surface. The heavy doors swing open automatically as you all approach, and as they're opened you can suddenly feel everyone's energy. And immediately Lord Freeza reaches out telepathically.

“KARN! There you are, what happened?” he asks, a slightly frantic edge to his mind. “Your energy just vanishes, yours and Meloka's. I couldn't reach either of you telepathically.”
“It's a long story.” you reply, and once outside take to the sky. Flying back over the ocean towards your ally's energy signature, filling him in on everything that's happened and what all you learned.
“So, cloning, huh? Hmmm. This... Complicates matters.” Freeza answers as you finish explaining everything. “And you're leaving this up to my brother?”

“Of course. He IS Emperor now, and even with as much authority as I have, I feel over my head with this one.” you reply, seeing the mainland quickly approaching. “So, we'll tell your brother what's happening, and let him figure out how he wants to handle it.”
“Very well. I'll relay your story while the city is being rebuilt.” Freeza answers as you all fly close, finding the crater and everyone's energy beside it. Dropping out of the air and landing by them all, where immediately Superman looks confused.

“Wait. Where's Bruce?” he asks, noticing who didn't come back with you all.
“He left and went on his own exploration down in that city.” Ubo answers, walking over to Galatea, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and walking a short distance away. No doubt whispering about what he discovered with you all down there as you turn to your daughter.
“So, are you ready?” you ask her, Okira beaming. Even Imagine Dragon looks pleased with itself.

“We're ready.” they say, both slightly out-of-sync just in case. “Are you ready Junior?”
“Just a sec!” he replies, clenching his fists as he focuses. “Haaaaaaaaa! HrrrrrrRRAAAAAAAA!!”

And with a roar Junior's power surges, ascending once more into his more unique form. The heroes of this world all recoil from the pressure of his power suddenly growing so dense, forcing those nearby back who weren't ready for the pressure.

“Now I'm ready! I got all the power you need!” Junior says, Okira nodding.
“Good. Now it's my turn. HYAAAAH!” she shouts, then ALSO ascends into her Berserker form. Emerald aura blazing as she holds the page in her hands, focusing on the words as Junior places his hands on her back.

“THE CITY OF METROPOLIS AND ALL THE BODIES OF ITS FORMER INHABITANTS, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO WERE WITHIN THE BLAST EXCEPT THE ONE WHO PLANNED ITS DESTRUCTION ARE RESTORED TO HOW THEY WERE THAT MORNING AT DAWN[/b]!” Okira and Imagine Dragon say simultaneously, and as they do, you feel the world begin to change. Before your eyes the massive crater begins to fill in, a latticework of underground subways, wires and pipes rebuilding as the city begins to reform. However, as it does you feel Okira's power begin to dip dangerously, and that's when Junior steps in.

Focusing his bottomless well of power, your son begins channeling his energy into his sister. Fueling her own power with his own, you all watching in awe as the city is reconstructed from thin air. Seeing buildings rebuild, bodies reassemble themselves and the world become whole once more. And after two minutes it's done, Okira immediately powering back down and slumping. You catch her before she can fall, your daughter falling asleep right there in your arms with a murmured word. Even Junior's exhausted, for the first time since you've felt this power in him, his energy feels diminished. Seems his bottomless well of power isn't truly bottomless, it does have a limit after all.

“Got you.” your wife whispers as she catches him, Junior going limp in her arms as he powers back down as well. They did it.
“Most impressive. Now, it's my turn.” Freeza declares, stepping forward. But, before he can, Superman takes off. Launching himself into the newly-reconstructed city, flying back a moment later. “Is everything quite alright?”

“Yes, just... Just had to check on a few people.” Superman replies, his entire demeanor having changed. His body's almost vibrating with hopeful energy, clearly excited he'll get to see his wife again. “We're all set.”
“Then stand back and bear witness. As Lord Freeza, apprentice God of Destruction, uses his power this day! Not to destroy, but to return the lives taken!” he shouts, taking his usual pose, then leaping into the air. Curling up on himself as his aura shifts from normal to gold, then even further as he transforms into BLACK FREEZA! But then his aura changes to a bright blue-green, the former emperor and your friend throwing his arms wide. “SHYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

And with his cry, that energy surges forth from him in a sphere. Growing ever-larger, engulfing more and more of the city as he disappears inside that blinding light. You feel his power wash over you, the strange power you can't quite place as his expanding energy continues to swell. Until the ENTIRE city is engulfed in his blinding energy, the former emperor turned Apprentice Destroyer still shouting as he unleashes more and more power. But then, you feel it. One by one, then two at a time, then more and more as tens, hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of beings' lives are restored! The tiny powerlevels of these humans blip back into existence, millions upon millions of beings revived by your friend's power.

“KYAAAAAAAAAAH! GYAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!” he roars, pouring more and more energy into his resurrection of the city. You feel his strength dropping by the second, and right as you're about to pass Okira to your wife to leap up and help him, he unleashes one final defiant shout before ending the technique. “SHYAAAAAAAAAA!”

And then... It's over. The blue-green glow fades, your ally's power plummets as he reverts back to his normal form, dropping out of the air. Catching himself near the ground, landing in a three-point stance as he catches his breath. Everyone else, yourself included, looking on in awe. You can feel them, all the millions of lives your friend saved. But Superman doesn't wait, immediately taking back off. No doubt to make sure his wife's okay, as you sense him with two minuscule powerlevels. The rest of Superman's allies don't move, staring shellshocked at this display of power. Even Plastic Man's stunned, his jaw laying on the floor as his hands hold his head. But all you can feel is pride. Pride in your children, and pride in your friend. Lord Freeza. Who slowly pushes himself upright, turning to you with a smug and satisfied but exhausted grin. To which you can only return the gesture, the two of you sharing a nod of understanding. No matter what happens, as long as you face it together, no force in this universe or the other eleven can stand up to you.

How did it got to earth? That second version. Did they build their own second version here based on plans someone provided to them or did they came up with same idea or did somebody brought this small piece of Big Gete Star for them so they can expand from it. Who was it and why that person did it? So many questions…Was that Fu?
>>6349594
>Unironically I think one of my best scenes I've written is still episode 34, specifically in the Big Gete Star. I don't personally think I've topped that moment. Rereading that thread, got me all emotional.?”
That was an awesome episode.
>>6349603
>How they'd nearly killed him, how even you and your wife couldn't fight through the hordes of monsters and were captured.
Paragus died then.
>>6349603
>Where you can sense a living being inside, something stronger than anyone non-Saiyan in the room by a WIDE margin, even stronger than your son too.
I was surprised that they have a Kryptonian heart inside there. You could say it’s Galatea’s clone sister.
>>6349640
>“I asked it.” Junior replies, your young son's expression troubled. “It can't think, not like a person. But it still... Feels things. And it feels lonely, like it's missing something.
It’s nice that Karn Junior started to communicate with it. I wonder what happens next.
>>6350011
>“KARN! There you are, what happened?” he asks, a slightly frantic edge to his mind. “Your energy just vanishes, yours and Meloka's. I couldn't reach either of you telepathically.”
So they were actually trying to contact us. Impressive how well cut off this city is. Could it even block Raven?
>>6350013
>But then, you feel it. One by one, then two at a time, then more and more as tens, hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of beings' lives are restored! The tiny powerlevels of these humans blip back into existence, millions upon millions of beings revived by your friend's power.
Very impressive.
>>6350016
>And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy the ride?
It was great.
>Ready to see just how well Freeza's resurrection powers worked?
Yes.
> Do you agree with her phrasing, or do you think that might still be too lenient?
I don’t know. Hopefully nobody is missing.
>And are you ready to wrap up the Tournament of Power arc, and face whatever comes next?
Yes. Is it time for Dragon Ball AF?
>>
>>6350014
Need to see the entire worlds reaction to this, Ra's must have had a chip watching, or the illuminati's satellite on us during this, how's the world reacting to our kids and friend backing up the claims we made?
>>
>>6350019
Perhaps. Once the world sees the PTO's power not only for violence, but also for peacetime, acceptance of the PTO'll spread.
>>6350035
Yes, I'd mentioned offhand ooc once that Zatanna had brought him back, but now IC you know. And between that and what Karn learned of Jason's backstory, his trust in Batman's in shambles.
A very good question. Is this an "everything becomes crab" situation or was outside influence needed to reach this outcome? Perhaps you'll find out eventually.
>spoiler1
A prime suspect, for sure.
Agreed. I still get emotional when I read it.
Paragus died, Tatsu got maimed, and thousands also perished.
>You could say it’s Galatea’s clone sister.
Ubo certainly sees it that way.
>I wonder what happens next
Me too. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
Yes. It can block even Martian Manhunter's telepathy, and it's also why you can't teleport in or out. Even Darkseid can't directly teleport in from Apokalypse.
Glad you enjoyed.
>spoiler 2
Ha, but no.
>>6350040
Every satellite in the area was watching, as was the Watchtower. World governments believe now the PTO, with its powers over life and death, are THE undisputed power in the universe.
>>
>>6350094
I want to say that this planet needs more surveillance than just random teleportation inspections every other month, but I don't want to micromanage things to death either.
>And between that and what Karn learned of Jason's backstory, his trust in Batman's in shambles.
Does Batman understand the value of what he just fumbled? Being in the General of the PTO's goodbooks goes a long way.
>World governments believe now the PTO, with its powers over life and death, are THE undisputed power in the universe.
Ayyy, can never have too much soft power. Hopefully they get their shit together after seeing all of that.
>>
>>6350094
>Me too. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
It’s good that Karn Junior connected to the heart in the machine. What if this was fist interaction this heart had since it started to exist. Now it’s lonely, but what if in time this changes to anger at people who made this machine and the fate they put that heart into?
I wonder what Brother Blood’s solution to this situation will be.

Also this lonely heart that may grow to hate it’s creators is if understood this right in control of the growing army of the Amazo copies?

Those copies are weaker than Amazo, they don’t have such potential… but they connected this whole thing to new Big Gete Star. Which can improve and may figure out how to overcome its limitations. Those androids are not as dangerous as Amazo yet but they can get better.

This new Big Gete Star seems like a guarantee that what they are building here will reach threat levels that the first star had and may even grow higher.

I guess we will see how it goes. I have a feeling that what is happening in this underground city will have big consequences.
>>
>>6350099
It is a bit of a hotbed for chaos. Perhaps that's partially why a Lord of Order is there? Or perhaps BECAUSE the Lord of Order is there that Chaos happens?
He has no idea.
True. The remains of Cadmus and world leaders are all horrified.
>>6350289
Yes, that was the first. This may affect Junior just as much as that cloned Kryptonian heart. Fortunately it's only a heart and not a brain, so it can't 'think'. Only feel.
I'll say this, it isn't a Big Gete Star. It isn't that powerful, and it can't operate independently. That's partially why it can't COPY superpowers like Amazo could, but why its bodies are around Kryptonian levels of strong. As for Blood, well, perhaps telling him of the potential of the Big Gete Star might not have been the cautionary tale you'd intended, but will be seen as the path to overthrowing everything? We'll see who comes out on top, Blood or al Ghul.
>>

Blood I swear to fuck. We literally already killed your god. We have his skull as a tourist attraction.

You don't want to escalate this.

>>
>>6350444
It was Trigon yeah, but he's been cooped up in Ra's basement so he might have missed that fight. Need to make sure he gets a copy of us ripping his God a New One.
>>
>>6350568
Trigon's been dead for 16 years at this point, so I imagine he learned of his patron's demise at some point...or maybe not actually.
I imagine Trigon rarely went out of his way to interact with his mortal worshippers directly, so between that and "Earth" not being incorporated into the PTO until recently, he might actually still be waiting for a call that will never come.
>>
>>6350573
Trigon can come back I think. I don't remember exactly.
Some children of his were pestering Raven. I may be miss interpreting things but I think you can bring him back. There is his skull. Probably needed for his resurrection. Who would want to do this? Crazy cultists or his kids that are not like Raven.

Then again if he came back would he be a threat?
It was a long time ago since Karn defeated him. Karn is now a lot stronger.

I'm sure he could be revived as his essence still lives on in his children, particularly Raven. Gods and Devils are metaphysical beings more than anything, so they aren't really subject to the same rules mere mortals might be.
As for whether or not he'd be a threat, I'd say his malicious intent and assumed grudge against us marks him as one, even if we've eclipsed him in power several times over by now.
Besides, all Trigon would need to do is find or create a new champion. There are plenty of absurdly strong beings that he'd be able to tempt into his service or outright enslave.
>>
>>6350683
>>6350686
Doubtful, we used Dragonforce on him, he is gone gone, they might bring a carcass back, but it wouldn't be all of him, if it even successeds at all.
>>
>>6350695
>they might bring a carcass back, but it wouldn't be all of him, if it even succeeded at all
And that's all they would need to to set in motion a potentially calamitous future. He may not be whole if he's revived, but he could just as easily grow beyond his old self given enough time.
>>
>>6350697
You make it sound like we can't just kill him again. Need I remind you of our Master's Degree in UltraTurboMurder?
>>
>>6350706
If it were as simple as rocking up to him and throwing hands again, yeah, we absolutely could. But when is it ever that simple? Were he to come back in any capacity, it'd just be a matter of staying off our radar until he can actually deal with us. Time is no object to a Demon after all, at least in comparison to a mortal's lifespan.

My half-jokey comment has me thinking: Would Saiyans go to college? Are there educational facilities in New Salda?
>>
>>6350832
>Would Saiyans go to college?
I imagine a fair few would, yes. We've already seen numerous Saiyans opt for various technical and support roles as opposed to being combatants. (Shoutouts to my boy Daiko and big mama Roccoli)
>Are there educational facilities in New Salda?
I doubt it. The colonization of New Salda is still in the very early stages all things considered. There's only 2 major settlements across the entire planet, and there's maybe 50,000 Saiyans between them.
They'll come sooner or later though. New Salda needs people who can withstand the gravity to operate facilities their fulltime. Installing gravity generators on every important building and keeping them running just isn't feasible in the longterm. Not between that and the costs of importing enough food to feed the growing Saiyan population.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Arriving at the ancient, underground city of 'Eth Alth'eban, Karn discovered the gold-plated god Nabu was still alive! Not only that, but the one called Batman knew! And after this encounter, Karn also met a man with the moniker of 'Red Hood', a former ward of Batman who was killed by that monster clown you killed, and brought back to life by the founder of this city's daughter. And upon meeting this man, Ra's al Ghul personally, he showed you the depths of his lair, where his partner Brother Blood and he introduced his machine. One eerily similar to the Big Gete Star, despite neither man knowing of it. And after finding the machine had a Kryptonian heart at its core, as the strength the machines are built upon. But after discovering the source of the Amazo lookalike androids, and keeping Ubo from destroying it to save the cloned Kryptonian heart at its core, Karn and his allies returned to the ruins of the city, and as we rejoin Karn, Okira, Karn Jr, and Freeza have rebuilt the city and brought everyone within it back to life.

“And that. Haaaah. Is how. It's done.” Freeza says to the planet's natives gathered about, all looking wide-eyed at him as they can see the life having returned. People sitting up, getting to their feet or waking up inside their vehicles. All looking around in confusion, disoriented by their sudden return from the afterlife. To which Freeza, catching his breath then lifts up into the air, projecting his voice unnaturally loud as he addresses the people. “Greetings, people of this city! I, Lord Freeza, brother to Emperor Cooler, have brought you all back to life! With, of course, air rendered from my ever-loyal General Karn and his offspring! You have been restored, your lives returned unto you! And, my General has executed the clown responsible for the heinous attack on this city!”

You immediately see those nearest murmuring to themselves and each other, glancing to the other so-called heroes. And a moment later Superman returns, flying back with a woman in his arms. One who, you suddenly sense with your ki sense, is carrying a baby within her already thousands of times stronger than herself.

But what do you do?
>Take a moment to take your sleeping children back home and to bed, then return here to finish your business before leaving
>Quietly observe, listening to Freeza's speech and the natives' reaction to him while you and Meloka hold your sleeping children

“THIS is the true power of the PTO! Command over life and death itself!” Freeza continues, and with the way you hear his voice echoing through the large buildings, you wonder if anyone in this city CAN'T hear his declaration. Anyone aside from your son and daughter, you holding Okira, your wife holding Karn Jr as both sleep. Exhausted by the effort of bringing back everyone and everything destroyed. “Now, return to your lives. To the existence once stolen from you, and live productive lives full of meaning and purpose. Continue your good service to the continued prosperity of your world, and to the PTO.”

At his declaration several look on in shock then they start clapping. One at first, someone else joining in, then another and another. Until soon it sounds like the entire city is cheering the former emperor on. To which he, with a smirk flies up atop a nearby building, where he's more visible and bowing before them. Making quite a show of it, clearly eating up the attention of the city's cheers.

“So, who's the alien?” the woman in Superman's arms asks as he sets her down, but doesn't let go of her. “Oh, wait, you're General Karn, right?”
“Yes, that's me.” you reply, looking from her to Superman and back.
“This is perfect. I've been wanting to get an interview with you ever since the first-” she starts, only for Freeza to have clearly heard and leap back down. Landing between you and her, his step whisper-light.

“Pardon my intrusion. But the General's needed elsewhere, to go and care for his children after their monumental contributions to restoring this city and its inhabitants. However, I'd be more than happy to field all your questions.” Freeza tells her, gesturing to Okira sleeping in your arms while reaching out to you telepathically. “Go home and let the children rest, Karn. I'll handle the public relations, and Cooler should be arriving any minute. We'll take care of things here.”
“Appreciate it, Freeza.” you think back, nodding to his back before turning to your wife. “Ready to go?”
“Yeah, let's head out.” Meloka says, but before either of you can leave, Ubo approaches. Galatea by his side.

“Same. And when you're ready, when your child is about to be born, you're welcome to come to our home. I'm sure Dr. White is better equipped to help you than any facility on this backwater.” you reply, the two of you sharing a nod. Your wife holding your arm as you shift your hold on Okira, raising your right hand to your forehead as you ready yourself to leave.

Focusing a moment, you reach out telepathically to Towa. Curious how her test is going.

“Mind if we stop by?” you think to her, feeling the familiar sensations of her demonic mind connecting to your own.
“Of course.” Towa replies, and with a thought you teleport. Using your Instant Transmission, you take your wife and both unconscious children from the world they restored, appearing in a blink. Leaving behind that city, reappearing inside one of Towa's Lab's training rooms. Only for a crimson-furred warrior to roar, swinging a heavy right directly at you! And before you fully process this, your body simply moves. Upper body twisting clockwise while stepping back with your right, you twist around the much larger fist, the forearm it's attached to even larger than its bicep. But as you realize this, your right leg shoots up, knee landing square in the guts of your would-be assailant.

“Guh!?” Milha wheezes, her voice more gravelly than usual as you realize that crimson blur was her. Yet, despite having that same red fur as Future Chaya's Apex form, her power feels... Different. “H-Hey Dad.”
“Milha?” Wha-?” you ask as she suddenly flips over your knee, landing on her feet beside you and turning. Showing you what she really looks like in this new form. Shedding her top and losing her hat, your half-demon daughter's once snow-white hair has changed to a bright crimson. And she's grown the same fur all over her body, just like the Primal form, although it and her tail, all of her hair is more of a magenta than a pure red. Even her eyes and eyebrows have changed, to red as well, and something about this form makes her forearms and fists larger as well. And her body is wreathed, outlined in a faint, white glowing outline. “Woah.”

“This power's something else, huh?” she asks, clenching her fists, letting her aura blaze. Which is somehow still the golden blaze of a Super Saiyan aura, despite this power feeling significantly different than both Super Saiyan and Primal. And even Future Chaya or Raditz's Apex power feels different. The closest similar power to this one is surprisingly Leyas or Sarada's Primal Demon forms, yet even then there's something... Different about this power. And that's when it hits you.
“Wait. This power. It...” you say, eyes going wide as you glance to Meloka. Who is also staring wide-eyed, having figured it out before you. You both saying it at the same time.

“Divine ki.”

“Oooohohohohoo, indeed! This power is not only mortal, but also divine!” Towa laughs, you both turning around to see her. And, sure enough Towa's in her Demon God form. Something you hadn't realized as you'd focused on her ki before, not paying attention. “This strength requires just the right amount of demonic divine energy infused into the host. To break the seal to this level of power. I had tried it once before, with Maza. But as he's already achieved his Primal Demon form, this branching path to power had become locked to him.”

“Wait, so only those who have NOT gone Primal can use this power?” you ask, Towa nodding as she walks up to you, smirking confidently.
“Indeed. Few have ever reached this level of power without foreknowledge of it, most reaching Primal on their own and without outside help providing the boost needed to ascend. So, what do you say, Karn? Mind stepping in for this part for me? Want to put your daughter through her paces, see what this power really has to offer?”

“Yeah, I think I will.” you reply, gently passing your sleeping daughter over to Towa. Okira grumbles something in her sleep as she's jostled, then settles back in with a sigh. Cuddling up to Towa, whose expression softens a moment as she looks down at your daughter.
“We should probably stand back.” Meloka says to her, her own voice soft as the two women move away. Stepping out of the training room and into the observation room, which seals shut with a pneumatic hiss.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvkgGHgHkmc

“So, you ready?” you ask your daughter, turning to her. And with a clenching of fists you ascend, shooting straight up into your Berserker God form. Emerald aura blazing, lightning crackling around you as you take your fighting stance.
“Ready.” she replies, taking her usual fighting stance. Staring one another down, the only movement in the room that of your tails. But then an imperceptible signal passes between the both of you, and as one you both charge forward.

“HRRRROOAAAAAAA!!” she roars, voice more bestial as her aura blazes golden and she charges straight towards you. The instant she charges you do the same, both of you swinging your right fists forward. The shock wave of the impact slamming into your chest, but you don't budge. Neither of you move an inch as the shock waves blow past, Milha then pulling back into a clockwise twist, letting your force against her fist spin her into a left hook aimed at your jaw. But you see it coming, pulling back just enough for her fist to barely miss your own chin, the outside of her extra-large fist just brushing against your jaw as you twist clockwise as well. Bringing your left up in a rising smash, one Milha blocks by raising her left, taking the hit square on her knee. The force of your blow blasts her back, your daughter flipping once, twice backwards before landing on the far wall. Immediately kicking back off it just as you set your feet, bracing yourself as she slams into your crossed guard with a flying kick. “Heh.”

“Hmph. Not bad.” you say, swinging your arms apart and forcing her back, Milha flipping back once and landing on her feet a couple yards back. Immediately blitzing you again, her speed in this form is significantly faster than you'd expect for her powerlevel. Keeping you on the back foot as she presses her attack, flipping and spinning all around you as she attacks with the Su Ma. But you're familiar with this style, aware of its movements and are able to block her initial assault with relative ease, ending the clash by suddenly switching from defense from offense, trading right hooks to the jaw. Your punch sending her flying back, hers knocking you sliding backwards. “But if that's all you've got, then I don't think this new power's worth all the effort to get. C'mon, stop holding back and show me what this power can REALLY do!”

“Oh, you wanna stop playing around and see what this form can REALLY do?” Milha asks, planting her feet and crossing her arms. Aura surging up around her, higher and higher as both the mortal and divine energies of this form begin to surge. “Haaaaaaaaaaaaa! Hrrrrrrraaaaaaaaa! HYAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!”

Her energy suddenly SKYROCKETS, aura blazing as her might soars. Passing your Ascended Berserker power, and even your suppressed power, surging well over half your Berserker God's full might. Your eyes widening in shock as her might soars, then with a smirk she's GONE! Before you can even react, she's closed the distance with an elbow to your guts. Doubling you over in pain, coughing up only for your lowering chin to meet a devastating leaping left uppercut. The blow launching you into the air, sending you flying. Smashing into the ceiling overhead, rebounding from the force of the impact. Straight back down into her turning back roundhouse kick, sending you flying across the room towards the far wall. But you recover, flipping and landing on the wall on all fours, only for Milha to ALREADY be right back in your face. And with only a split-second to react you can't raise your arms to defend, instead leap aside. Narrowly dodging her strike, letting her fist slam into the reinforced wall instead.

“Tch!” you exclaim through clenched teeth, powering up to one hundred percent. Having narrowly avoided that heavy blow, you're not taking it easy on her anymore! “HRRRAAAAA!!”

And with your roar, power surging you dash back in, Milha turning and meeting your next strike fist-to-fist. But she can't compete with your full might, your blow sending her flying backwards. Flipping through the air, landing on the wall and rocketing back, meeting you blow for blow. It quickly becomes clear after only a few seconds, and hundreds if not thousands of traded blows she can't compete with your full power. Yet the fact that she's pushed you this far with that form is astonishing. Were there not such a gap in base powerlevel between the two of you, you're not entirely certain you COULD defeat her. So, with one final powerful clash you both knock each other back, sliding to a stop and not immediately taking the fight back to your daughter as she pants. Catching her breath, something each ragged gasp tells you she clearly needs.

“Not bad, kiddo. You made me quit holding back, and fight you seriously without holding back my power. Well done.” you tell her, Milha beaming even as she struggles to catch her breath.
“Yes, quite impressive indeed.” Towa's voice calls through the speaker system. “These readings are quite beyond all expectations. It would seem this power WAS worth the effort to unlock, wouldn't you say, Karn?”

You hear Towa's question, but your focus is on your daughter. Who, despite the sparring match ending, hasn't managed to catch her breath. And even worse, her power is continuing to plummet.

“Milha, you okay? Is this power putting too much strain on your body?” you ask, walking over to her, easing her off her feet and down into a sitting position. “Do you need to power back down?”
“I-! Can take it!” she breathes out through panting gasps, her breathing becoming more labored instead of less. “This. Is. Nothing.”
“Easy, Milha. Easy.” you say, rubbing her back with your hand. “Breathe, kiddo. In, and out. That's it, just breathe for me.”

Your presence helps calm her, helps settle her down as she powers down. Dropping her powerlevel lower and lower until she can get her breathing under control. In and out, her breath slowing as she calms herself back down. You can feel her heartbeat through her furry back as it slows down, as she settles herself and gets her body back under control.

“Attagirl. That's it.” you encourage as she recovers, powering down until she can regulate her body. “There you go, get yourself back under control.”
“It. Is so. Much.” she gasps one final time, taking a long, deep breath in then sighing out. Her power less than a tenth of what it was at the peak of your sparring match. “Pheeeeew. That was... Intense.”
“I bet. Is that why you weren't able to use your magic?” you ask her, your daughter looking at you in surprise. “Were you under too much strain to cast anything?”

“Y-Yeah. But that's not... Not all.” she says, looking down at her hand. “In this form, I... My magic, it's... Gone.”
“Gone?” you ask her, raising a brow in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Just like the normal Primal form, while in this more... Bestial transformation, one's mana is converted to physical power as well.” Towa says through the speakers. “Another reason why I had wanted Milha to obtain this form, as her version of this transformation will probably be THE strongest of any living Saiyan.”

“Strongest...?” you mutter, turning from the observation glass back to your daughter. Eyes wide with surprise, understanding dawning on why she was so strong. How her power was raised to nearly match your own, by converting her magical to physical power. Just like Chilli does, when he transforms into his Primal form. “Heh. That's my daughter.”
“Strongest...” Milha repeats with a grin before pushing herself back up to her feet. You help her up, steadying her as she regains her balance. “Hehe, I like the sound of that.”

Back on her feet, she then sighs out, letting her body relax before clenching her left fist low.

“The strongest. Sounds like a title I should go for.” she grins, then after striking that pose turns to you with a bit of a blush. “Always wanted to hit that pose, even though I felt kind of like a knockoff when I did."

You wonder what she means by that, but before you can ask she continues.

"What do you think, Dad? Think I can do it? Think that with this form I can take your title of the strongest?”

Well? How do you respond?
>Tell her if she really applies herself, she probably can do whatever she sets her mind to. But you won't slow down and make it easy for her, she'll have to earn it
>Say she won't, not with THIS form. But once she finds even greater power beyond this form, she might be strong enough to

“The strongest? HA! That's not my title, kiddo. Not even close.” you tell her with a gentle but genuine laugh. “Not by a long shot.”

You see the look of shock on her face as you say this, then reach down and ruffle her hair before continuing.

“But if you're looking to be the strongest, if that's what you really want, you've gotta get past me first!” you tell her, clenching your free fist. The sound explosively loud in the quiet of the moment. “And once you manage that, THEN you'll be ready for the big leagues. So, still think that's what you want?”

Milha doesn't answer immediately, looking from your face to your hand, then down to her own open hand. Clearly thinking this over, deciding if that's what she TRULY wants. Then, as you watch she clenches her own fist, raising her head to meet your gaze once more. Where you can see the determination blazing there, brighter than you've ever seen in her eyes before.

“Yeah. I do.” she answers seriously, radiating with determination. “Let's get started, right now!”

Without hesitation she leaps back, once more powering back up to one hundred percent of this form's might.

“I'm gonna give it everything I've got!” she shouts, aura blazing at her declaration. “I WILL be the strongest!”
“Then bring it on, just try and surpass me!” you reply, powering up to max as well. Gold and emerald auras clashing as you go back to sparring your eldest half-demon daughter. Pushing her, but aware of her current physical limitations don't quite push her that far past her limits again. Instead you pace it out, sparring for nearly half an hour of high-intensity fighting until you see her beginning to fade. Her strikes growing clumsy and unfocused, her defenses slow and sloppy. Taking blows she was dodging with relative ease even five minutes ago before you call it, catching her punch easily. “That's enough, let's call it there for the day. Your body needs to rest.”

Milha, as if not hearing you, tries to pull her fist back. But with your grip solid on her hand, she can't pull back out of your grip. Leaving her blinking and looking up at you in confusion.

“Easy. It's over, you need to rest.” you tell her, Milha, chest heaving, nods as she collapses to the ground. Catching her breath once more as her body reverts, losing her transformation as she returns to her base form. Forearms and fists shrinking back to their usual size, laying there on the floor as the red light of the increased gravity fades. After a few seconds you hear a woman call Milha's name, turning and seeing the blonde-haired woman running over. You step back, giving her her space with your daughter as she kneels down beside Milha, taking her hand in both of hers. She starts to say something, but you leave them to their moment together, instead walking back to the door where your wife, Towa, and both sleeping Karn Jr and Okira still are. Where you see Okira clinging to Towa as her fingers fly over another keyboard, while Junior is grumbling in his sleep laying against your Meloka. “That's quite the power you helped her find.”

“Of course. I was reminded of it thanks to Koruza and his trip to the demon realm. Oh, speaking of, he should be returning back to the mortal realm soon.” Towa replies, not looking away as her fingers continue their work documenting. Or, at least you think that's what she's doing, as the demonic script doesn't even come close to resembling the PTO common you've learned. “Within the next day or so, at most. He's delivered the Tertian Oculus to my brother, at least the one in this timeline that is his by rights. And should be returning with the other two.”

“Tertian Oculus?” your wife asks before you can, and with a few taps of her keyboard her display splits in two. One half is still the document she's writing, but the other half a recording. One of a tiny, impish creature holding a disembodied eye in his gloved hands, getting a woman who looks as if she could be Towa's sister to press it into his forehead. The tiny imp's body suddenly radiating with power as his strength surges. Growing larger and larger as his power surges. The video feed then changes, shifting to another Saiyan in that same form Milha had fighting that same massive demon. And to that demon's clear surprise, the crimson-furred Saiyan is beating him relentlessly. However, as you watch, every time he takes significant damage the eye flashes with magical power. And all of his injuries are not only undone, but his power increases each time. “Wait, how does it keep doing that? Does this Tertian Oculus make someone truly invincible?”

“Hmph. Not quite. However, without proper knowledge of how to overcome the regeneration of the Tertian Oculus, one could find themselves drained and exhausted fighting that never-ending battle. Whosoever wields the power of that eye cannot be bested in ordinary combat, one must remove that eye to return them back to their original form and defeat them.”

The image changes again, this time a being who looks like a mix of a Saibaman and Ginyu sneaking up on the demon and smacking him three times in the back of the head with a rather large tome. The eye popping free on the third hit, the monstrous demon swiftly reverting back to his more imp-like form in seconds.

“In truth it was my father, Abura who found the Tertian Oculus. In a small, inconspicuous shop in the Third Demon Realm's wasteland, of all places.” Towa says with a small smirk as the image changes again, this time to a rather portly demon with strong resemblance to Dabura. “And with that power he ruled the Demon Realm until that eye was stolen from him, with my help, allowing my brother to best him and take the throne for himself. Our father had become far too reliant on its power, and without its regeneration and strength-boosting magic he quickly fell. However, my brother's incompetent minion lost it in the Third Demon Realm, where it wouldn't be discovered for hundreds of thousands of years.”

“And Koruza found them all?” you ask, Towa nodding. “How?”
“Because I knew where they were, and what they'd want in exchange.” Towa replies, a small, sly grin turning up the corner of her mouth as her fingers continue their work without slowing. “And your son performed admirably.”

Well? What now?
>Ask how she's communicating with Koruza, and if you can reach out to him as well. Let him tell you of his adventures in the Demon Realm
>Tell Towa what happened on Ubo's new world of Earth and what Ra's al Ghul made. See if she can find anything else about their project, and if it's something that should be destroyed now or if it possesses no perceivable threat

“So, why do you want these?” you ask her, wanting to hear her reasoning yourself.
“Four reasons. First, that's far too much power to leave laying about for just anyone to get their hands on. A lesser demon, one who doesn't even compare to Karn Jr's base power, got his hands on one. And Koruza needed the power of his Demon God form to hold his own against him.” Towa says, your jaw dropping. Shocked by the sudden realization of just how powerful this artifact can make someone. Making you wonder just how powerful it could make someone already strong? “Second, I shall keep one for myself, to study. To observe the limits, potential, and possible evolutionary paths of the ancient artifacts. Third, I'll of course let Koruza keep the third as his prize. His reward for running this errand for me. And last, but perhaps most importantly, it keeps them out of the hands of any of that bastard Trigon's servants. Keeps these force multipliers away from those who still seek revenge on you, Karn, and all of your kin for what you did to him.”

“They're STILL trying?” you ask, Towa raising a brow at you. “Seriously?”
“They've never stopped. And never will. Our perception of time is... Different to you mortals. With our vast lifespans, a year to you is more akin to a day to us. Your killing of Trigon is as if it only happened last week to my kind.” she says, eyes narrowed as she turns to face you fully, fingers not going still on the keyboard as she holds your gaze. “They'll hold this grudge until long after Karn Jr's grandchildren's grandchildren are all ancient and withered.”
“Sounds like the Demon Realm needs a purge.” Meloka says darkly, your wife's fury visibly manifesting as her aura ghosts up around her. But she stops immediately as Karn Junior shifts in her arms, your wife's focus immediately going back to your child.

“While I agree with the sentiment, an assault on the Demon Realm would be... Inadvisable. Especially with the time it would take for your bodies to adjust to the atmosphere of even the lowly Third Demon Realm. You'd be exhausted simply from flying in an hour.” Towa states, very matter-of-factly. “However, their incursions into this realm have been significantly mitigated, thanks in no small part to the spirit of your father, Karn, working as Warden under King Yemma. And now, with the Tertian Oculus back in Dabura's possession, he'll be able to crush this resistance to his power and authority, eliminating this threat himself. A small reward, in exchange for your family helping secure his power as Demon King. They won't be a problem for much longer.”

“Just like that? Raven won't be under attack anymore, and we won't have to deal with them?” Meloka asks, a bit skeptical. Tone suspicious. “It seems... Too easy.”
“I know you're used to fighting wars to end problems, but this time, you won't have to be the ones on the front lines. Instead, let my brother flex his newfound nigh-invincibility.” Towa says with a wave, her other hand still typing before the waving hand returns to the keyboard. “After all, he still feels indebted to you after your assistance in freeing him from Babidi's attempted mind control as well as killing Babidi and sending him to hell for Dabura to torture for eternity. With this, he'll feel his debt has been settled.”

“Hopefully. It would be rather nice for a problem to solve itself without our direct interference.” you reply, glancing to Okira still sleeping against Towa. For a moment you consider trying to take her away, but you can feel how happy Towa is to have a young child holding onto her so peacefully again. So you decide to leave her there, and let Towa know. “When she wakes up, let her know everything went well and she fixed that city. I'm sure she'll want to know.”
“I will. Oh, and Karn.” Towa says, you turning back to her, raising a brow, curious. “Thank you.”

“For?” you ask, your confusion rising. Towa, instead of speaking or pointing with a finger simply nods her head, you following her gaze to see Milha's standing again, and with a subtle press of a button her words are now audible to you as well.
“-even the strongest! But he thinks I can get stronger than even them!” Milha is telling her girlfriend, whose eyes have grown large in surprise. “He thinks I can do it! He really thinks I have what it takes to be the strongest!”

And as Darkness answers her, you smile, turning to Towa and seeing the same proud, parental smile on her lips as well. The pride and joy of seeing your own child happy and excited to better themselves, to be the best versions of themselves they can be. Neither of you say a word, but share a quiet nod of understanding before exiting the lab through the observation area, making your way back into your ship proper and out of the extra-dimensional space of her lab. Your wife, carrying Karn Jr brings him to bed, tucking him in. Where he mutters quietly for a moment before settling in, your wife gently brushing his forehead a moment. You then both silently exit the room, letting your youngest sleep it of before she turns to you.

So... Now what?” she asks, hands behind her head. Looking up at you, not expectantly. Just with a quiet curiosity, wondering what you'll do next. Which is a good question. With no urgent crisis to solve or imminent threat to throw yourself into training to face, you have a problem you've not had in a long time: what do you do when your power and presence aren't currently needed?

Milha should prob train up a second form to go alongside her new DaimaSS4 form (in the same way Chilli uses both his primal and archon forms). While converting all her mana into a shit-tonne of straightforward raw power (and relatively/disproportionately high speed) is useful when getting THAT MUCH raw power from it, sometimes tricky abilities matter more than throwing out really hard punches or Ki blasts. Eg. Rather than going daimaSS4 to try to match Ace's or Future Chaya's raw power as best she can in a brawl, she'd probably fare a lot better by trying to incapacitate him with agony spells. (see how poorly future Chaya was able to bear them in that epilogue [where F!Chaya started training pain tolerance / sibling bonding with Milha, following Karen's example], in spite of the massive power disparity). Accept being outclassed physically, in exchange for being able to attack via a vector they have little resilience to / answer for. Tricky shit bridges a gap in power; it's why Chilli can beat us in a fight with his magic (despite being outclassed power wise) while Broly has no shot of bridging the gap; Broly is too straightforward - he's either more powerful than his opponent, or he loses.

As such, she should prob also train up a form which lets her use her full repertoire; hybrid pain magic-casting, plus enhanced strength, punches, speed and Ki blasts (it's not like she'll be missing out on a boost to these ENTIRELY, just not quite as much). Perhaps demon goddess form, or perhaps whichever divine Super Saiyan form she gets as a hybrid demon-saiyan (SSBlue? SSRose? That white-haired divine-ki SS form that Merged Zamasu had?). Use that as her general purpose form, and save DaimaSS4 for when she really (or just ONLY) needs raw straightforward power level.
>>
>>6352079
Well, there is the Archon form Chilli pioneered, but that may not be the most suitable form for her even if she is able to attain it. Min-Maxxing to that degree has it's own downsides after all.
The best transformation line for her in tandem with Daima Primal is Demon God/Goddess unless I'm overlooking something. Seems like it would do a good job of mitigating her squishiness while buffing her magical potential and giving her all the benefits of Divine Ki (something she's already proven she can wield given the new transformation she just attained).
>>
>>6352073
A grandpa sigh might be in order.
>>6352079
Possibly. However, Chilli's form swapping is something he's spent a lot of time and effort mastering. Which he could have spent seeking further evolution of his forms instead. Potentially kneecapping his potential in exchange for versatility. Which suits him, but may not suit Milha. Especially if she opens up with a curse, powers up, then whips ass. But that'll be up to her, as she'll no doubt seek Chilli's council and advice on the matter.

Silly GD, you know we can't read.
Jokes aside, I am quite curious to see what lies beyond this form once Milha masters it. If what we sensed from Milha is while transformed is any indicator, her equivalent to Apex might actually make her the strongest...once she boosts her base powerlevel and works on her cardio I mean.

Soon.

“Then how about we take some time for just us? Just you and me?” you ask her, reaching down and scooping your wife up, carrying her in your arms. She lets out a breathless laugh, surprise mixing with a wild excitement in her eyes as you take her like this, carrying her through your shared home.

“That sounds wonderful.” she replies as you carry her through the halls. For a moment you consider stopping at your room, but instead take her down the ramp and outside your home. Out into the midday sun, taking a deep breath of the ocean breeze. Catching the distinctive scent of the frog-like creatures that lurk in the sea beyond. Immediately you reach out with your ki sense, and feel them there. But they're all stopped short, as if held back by a wall. Which, you realize is the one Okira'd spoken-into-existence wall, the one that prevents them from getting close still holds, and pay them no further mind. “Just you and me? Wonder how long that'll last.”

Her last sentence is wry, teasing, but not blaming you. Just an acknowledgment of all the nonsense that's happened over the years every time the two of you had any moment to yourselves. And almost as if on cue-

Well? What now?

I Just want to say OP the tournament of Power was some of the best content. I have read all year. Chaya becoming the goddess of Victory and how you wrote Karn's absolute certainty in his daughter was *chef's kiss*. You really do a stellar job giving the character's personality without over explaining every thought or action. Cheers Mate.

-you feel your body bracing itself, ready for something to interrupt this quiet moment. But... Nothing does. The seconds pass in silence, and after nearly a minute your wife lets out a loud sigh of held-in breath into the silence. Seems she'd been expecting an interruption as well, as you feel her physically relaxing in your arms.

“You too, huh?” you ask with a chuckle of your own, also powering down with a heavy sigh. “Yeah, I thought so too.”
“You thought something was just, I dunno, something crazy was about to happen too?” she asks, you nodding. To which she lets out a huff, relaxing in your arms. “It seems like that always happens.”
“Yeah, I was ready for it too.” you reply, holding your wife in the quiet. There's no world-ending threats, no family issues needing resolved, no imminent threats to push yourself to overcome. You both can simply... Be.

“So, what...? What do we do now?” she asks, voice quiet.
“Whatever we want, I reckon.” you reply, meeting her eyes. “What do you want, Mel?”
“I...” she says, voice trailing off. She's quiet for a moment before you see a familiar hunger in her eyes, reaching up and wrapping her arms around your neck, legs around your waist as she whispers in your ear. “I want you.”
“Then let's find us a quiet spot, just us.” you reply, lifting off into the air. Flying from your home out into the forest, to a familiar clearing where you touch down. Your wife presses her lips to yours hungrily, hugging you close as you both spend some quality, intimate time together. And after a couple of hours, as you both lay in the newly-made crater, your wife breathing softly against your chest, you sense a power approaching. Focusing on that energy signature, you recognize Haathe's ki approaching.

“Well, it was nice while it lasted.” your wife replies with a sigh, sitting up as Haathe flies over, appearing over the clearing and dropping out of the air. She lands softly by you both, just outside the crater you'd both made.
“My lord, there art a man seeking audience with thee.” she says, bowing. Hiding her blush behind the wide brim of her hat. “A man called Elec, with three others of his blue-skinned race.”
“Elec?” you wonder, sharing a glance with Meloka. Who also doesn't recognize the name, you both rising and getting dressed. “Tell me about this 'Elec', if you would.”

“Yes, my lord. Elec is a... Pompous man, noticeably weaker than his kin, but with cruel, dishonest eyes.” Haathe says as you and your wife get dressed once more. She then raises her hand, creating an image of the beings. And immediately you recognize them, from an encounter you'd had awhile back.
“Oh, them.” your wife says, also recognizing that group even without color. “Great.”
“Should I send them away, my lord?” Haathe asks you, brows furrowing. “If they are not welcome, I can send them away?”

Well? How do you reply? Will you meet with the Heeters, or send them away?

“Just a second.” you tell her, then reach out telepathically. To the one man you trust in this situation, who should be made aware of what's happening if he doesn't already know; King Vegeta. “King Vegeta, you got a moment? We might have an issue.”
“Karn? What's wrong?” he replies back to your telepathy with a thought, you sensing that same tension that was in your and Meloka's bodies before you relaxed in his tone, clearly on edge as well. “What's going on?”
“Might have a problem. Elec and the Heeters are here.” you think to him, feeling his shock, then his suspicion. “You know why?”

“I didn't even know they're here, much less why.” Vegeta replies, tone carefully neutral but suspicious in your thoughts. “If they snuck here for a meeting with you, must not be official business... I'd say go to the meeting, but keep me abreast of what's happening. They might be trying to get some under-the-table work from our heaviest hitter without paying proper rates, or perhaps seeking to leverage you in other ways. Don't forget, they're brokers. Intermediaries, used to playing both sides of conflicts for the goal of being always the ones who come out on top with a position of ever-increasing power. Mostly political and monetary, as their physical strength isn't what they rely on. Just stay cautious, General.”

“Right, I'll stay on guard. Let's see what he wants.” you reply, ending the mental link before addressing Haathe directly. “I'll see what he wants, hear him out at least.”
“I'm coming.” your wife says, her tone clearly not an offer but a statement of intent.
“Good.” you say, pulling your boots on before standing, turning to Haathe fully dressed. “Lead the way, Haathe. Where are they waiting for us?”
“The visitors await thee in thine administrative hall.” Haathe answers as your wife stands up fully dressed as well. “Shall I lead thee there?”

“Sure, let's all go.” you reply, the three of you lifting up into the air. Flying out of the clearing in the forest, the three of you return to your city. Flying back to the center, landing on the steps just outside the double doors. Which you immediately grab with your telekinesis and push open as you walk in, four sets of eyes all turning towards you simultaneously. “So, I heard you're looking for me.”

“Greetings, General. It's been quite some time.” Elec says, immediately rising up from sitting on your seat and bowing, the other Heeters following his lead and bowing as well.
“That it has. Your fortress hasn't been overcome by another army, has it?” you ask him as you stride forward, the man chuckling.
“No, not this time. My home is secure. No, I've come to you today to warn you of troubles headed for your own home.” Elec says, tone turning serious. Almost sounding concerning, but you hear the performative edge in his tone. “I've learned of rather troubling news, for your people. And want it brought to your knowledge before their plot can be fully realized.”

“What are you talking about?” you ask, that familiar tension returning as if it'd never left. “What plot?”
“On a small, out-of-the-way planet, a plot has been hatched to destroy your entire race. Tell me, General Karn, what do you know of Planet Cereal?”
“Cereal? No, never heard of it.” you reply, confused. “Should I?”

“Then it wasn't you. Either way, it is a planet the Saiyans conquered and leveled, sold to another race. But one of the natives survived, and has been planning his revenge.” Elec says, his tone then dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “And even worse, there's also rumored to be a Namekian living on that planet.”
“WHAT?!” you exclaim, understanding dawning. This is bad, this could be REALLY bad!
“You know what this means, right General?” he asks, his faux-worry turning more devious. “I learned of this Cerelean's plot, and immediately rushed over here to warn you. He plans to use the power of the Dragon Balls for himself, to destroy your people in revenge for his own being exterminated. And then go after Freeza as well, who was in charge at the time. This is a threat that must be dealt with seriously.”

“On that, we agree.” you reply, mind already abuzz with thoughts and questions. It seems it never ends, others seeking their vengeance against your people for what you all did. But it doesn't matter, as long as you draw breath, your people won't fall. You'll stand between your race and everyone who seeks your people's destruction, no matter what. It doesn't matter who, why, or how many; no matter the odds, you'll never stop fighting for your people. Your friends. Your family. You won't let anyone else take them away, because if they want to come after those you care for, they'll all have to get through you first!

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 253 End-

UNIVERSAL SURVIVAL ARC END
>>
>>6352249
And that's the end of Universal Survival, everyone enjoy this arc? Ready to see what twists and turns the next arc holds, what further mysteries and plots are to be uncovered? Ready to see if Granolah is ready for the challenge, and what his potential wish could be? What do you think Elec's angle is here, or is he genuinely helping you all out? And broader questions, did you enjoy the arc as a whole? Favorite/least favorite parts, writing you really enjoyed or places where my quality may have dipped? Hope to see everybody in the new year, when the next arc of Saiyan Conqueror Quest begins!
>>
I didn't expect this to be a full arc. Let's snap some sense into the boy and then save him from his own wish with Dragon Force when he reaches the peak of his power, so we can have another heavy hitter on our side
>>
>>6352253
Whether or not Granolah can be saved is entirely up to him. Karn's priorities lie in his people, so if Granolah poses a legitimate threat to that, I don't think we can really justify any Talk-no-Jutsu.
Obviously we're not going to take anything this fucking snake said at face value though. Best thing to do right now would be to confer with our peers before making our own observations of this potential threat.
>>
>>6352250
And so it ends. After all that, I wish we had a bit more, haven't been this hyped since the attack on Conton City. A massive team battle royale is hard to top.
>Ready to see what twists and turns the next arc holds, what further mysteries and plots are to be uncovered?
It is nice to know that the galaxy is moving forward in places where it doesn't revolve around us and our personal actions. Makes it feel more real and big. What are behind those space curtains?
>Ready to see if Granolah is ready for the challenge, and what his potential wish could be?
We're nuking that boy, simple as. Dragonballs are no game. His wish won't matter if I have something to say about it, and it's best those artifacts are locked away and hidden from prying eyes. Speaking of such eyes...
>What do you think Elec's angle is here, or is he genuinely helping you all out?
The fucker is DEFINITELY looking towards plundering those Dragonballs while we're dealing with Granolah. Because why wouldn't he? He's got the same look in his eyes that Brother Blood did; too much ambition for his own good.
>And broader questions, did you enjoy the arc as a whole? Favorite/least favorite parts, writing you really enjoyed or places where my quality may have dipped?
I can't really single out a part that I didn't like about this arc, it had all the fights and all the training that I enjoy, and the stakes really felt pronounced with the addition of Moro and the revised U6 squad. And it left me with other things to chew on outside of the big tournament with the whole Evil Fucking Eldritch Void situation and answered *why* the Supreme Kai of Time is such a massive turbocunt. Favorite part was Chaya vs. Jiren, absolutely. But bullying Lavender was also really funny. See you in the new year, GD.
>>
With Black Frieza already running around (rather than just showing up in the last issue of the manga to oneshot the plebs), Granolah's lifespan is going to be a whole 3 minutes once he exchanges it for enough power to be stronger than him (and Karn).
>>
>>6352277
Keep in mind, the Frieza that showed up at the end of the Super Manga had God knows how long to master that transformation after attaining it.
If he wasn't bluffing, he seemingly mastered it to the point where he had no visible issues with his stamina. Admittedly it's hard to say that without seeing him used it for an extended duration, but biased in-universe statements are the gold standard for manga I guess.
Either way, I'm sure Granolah will find some way to mitigate the effects of his wish in the future, provided he gets to make it in the first place.
>>
>>6352253
>on our side
Ehhh, not likely. If you ask around, I'm sure you can figure out which team or teams crushed Planet Cereal. Spoiler alert, wasn't Bardock as he was in space with his Tree of Might fruit at the time his world was conquered.
>>6352258
True, but once you fight him he may or may not find himself persuadable. Not trusting him is fair, as he's clearly a snake. But one you've done work with before and had no issues.
>>6352277
He may have already made his wish. Which would mean Kars has returned the two Dragonballs for Planet Cereal.
>>6352259
It was a fun arc, enjoyed writing something that was so fun.
Glad you enjoy the work I put in on the back end to keep the universe moving. events play out regardless of your presence, you can only affect the outcomes of what you're there for.
He may or may not already have the power he seeks. Making his wish after the Tournament of Power was BROADCAST to the entire universe, so he is unequivocally the strongest if he keeps his canon wish.
True, but he's a far better actor than Blood. And more used to playing nice with the PTO with the decades of 'teamwork'.
It was a really fun arc to write, glad it lived up to the astronomical expectations such an arc comes with. And yes, starting the threads of future stories here has been fun, especially considering The End isn't the only future threat to contend with.
>Chaya vs Jiren
Was so hyped to reveal her trump card. Had three separate arts commissioned for that encounter and her new form, one of which I only got recently but is killer. Perhaps we'll see it soon? And see you in the new year as well anon.
>>6352340
Yes, canon dbs Black Freeza had a DECADE of training for that form, whereas your Freeza has had one.
Probably already far too late to stop that wish. After all, everything's going according to plan.
>>
>>6352347
>Not trusting him is fair, as he's clearly a snake. But one you've done work with before and had no issues.
Sometimes you can see the knife before they stab you in the back with it, just saying. I'd hesitate to say whether or not Karn would be able to piece things together before it's too late, but it's not impossible. It helps that we have no shortage of master strategists to discuss this issue with, thank God. Though admittedly I am a bit cagey about bringing this to Cold or Cooler for...reasons.
Cooler would have done well to recruit a Saiyan for his new Armored Squadron if he wanted to bury the lead a little better, just saying.
>>
>>6352013
> “In this form, I... My magic, it's... Gone.”
Very interesting transformation. I’m worried that because Karn did Primal once sadly he cannot use this transformation. Please tell me I’m wrong.

Also this from would not be as spectacular for Karn as it is for Milha. Right? Karn has no vast amounts of mana to convert into physical power. It would be good for Karn but not that good… or perhaps it could be great in a different way. Can you try to combine it with Berserker transformation? Could it work well with Berserker Soul?

I have a feeling nobody ever tried this in our reality, so we can’t ask Towa what happens when you do it. Just like Karn is the first person in this reality to achieve Supreme Instinct.
>>6352068
>most importantly, it keeps them out of the hands of any of that bastard Trigon's servants.
Wise. Trigon with this buff would be some real threat. Imagine if some Hadar’s cultist found this artifact.
>>6352250
>And that's the end of Universal Survival, everyone enjoy this arc?
Yes. It was a great arc.
>Ready to see what twists and turns the next arc holds, what further mysteries and plots are to be uncovered?
Sure. I was wondering if there are 3 Tertian Oculus can you use all 3 on one person to get triple power buff?
>Ready to see if Granolah is ready for the challenge, and what his potential wish could be?
Yes.
> What do you think Elec's angle is here, or is he genuinely helping you all out?
Is he’s helping because he will benefit from this somehow?
>And broader questions, did you enjoy the arc as a whole?
Yes. Very much.
> Favorite/least favorite parts, writing you really enjoyed or places where my quality may have dipped?
I liked the Tournament of Power very much. It was exciting from beginning to end. Even when Jiren was no longer in game it was still intense. Our Universe could still lose. It was fun entire time.

The appearance of the reality devourer was unexpected. I was not thinking that whatever was watching Karn when he was unconscious was something like this. It’s very interesting to see such challenge. At the moment scale of this threat seems overwhelming.

I remember you said that Jiren has so much control and hold over his own Ki that Moro can’t passively drain him. How much time Karn would need to train to achieve this level? Would that be months or years of training?
> Hope to see everybody in the new year, when the next arc of Saiyan Conqueror Quest begins!
I can’t wait.
>>6352253
>Let's snap some sense into the boy and then save him from his own wish with Dragon Force
I wonder if it’s possible to change his mind.
>>6352347
>True, but he's a far better actor than Blood.
He will trick Karn into thinking he no longer wants revenge.

By the way both Towa and Kars were watching Supreme Instinct in action. Did they spot some interesting properties of this transformation? Something that Karn is not yet aware of?
>>
>>6352351
True. We'll see what happens, what information you may or may not discover.
>spoiler
Reminder that the only planet still under Freeza's control in the PTO is New Salda. Cooler controls the entire rest of the PTO, but the Saiyans are still Freeza's.
>>6352508
Karn's used it several times, this isn't a form that he can access.
>Could it work well with Berserker Soul?
Well, you know one Berserker who hasn't yet gone Primal, who could potentially use this form.
Yes, this is a form not seen before in your timeline.
Towa was smart, not only taking the one but ALL of the Evil Third Eyes out of play, possibly permanently, but also empowering Dabura so he'll be less likely to be overthrown. UNLIMITED stamina, regeneration, and bottomless magical power are quite the boost.
>spoiler
Yes, could be quite terrible. They're sources of limitless mana, if one possesses the racial aspect to use them.
Glad you enjoyed, and no. Well, there's one exception, but that would involve giving up your normal eyes permanently.
The coming battle of Planet Cereal will be fun, and possibly enlightening.
The tournament was so much fun, I'm glad you guys enjoyed too. Showing a hint of the endgame, a glimpse of the end of the campaign is fun.
Would take several decades of focus. That level of control comes with great power, but at the cost of greater isolation.
>I wonder if it’s possible to change his mind.
Well, it's too late to stop his wish.
Elec's spent decades "fooling" the Cold Clan with his act of non-resistance and acceptance of his station.
> Did they spot some interesting properties of this transformation? Something that Karn is not yet aware of?
:^)
>>
>>6352606
Wait, if both variants of Primal convert mana into physical power, and the Tertian Oculi provide functionally unlimited mana to Demons...
Oh shit. Our kids on Towa's side of the family might have just found an insane exploit.
>>
>>6352606
What would Elec think if even a brick like Karn can see him lying through his teeth a mile away, then what does say about the Cold clan?
>Reminder that the only planet still under Freeza's control in the PTO is New Salda. Cooler controls the entire rest of the PTO, but the Saiyans are still Freeza's.
Dawww, softie likes his best friends house and fights the bank for it.
>>6352613
I dont think it could work like that, they still need the large mana pool to start with, not a big deal since half demon tons of magic at base. But it doesnt translate to a boost unless Primal can convert the magic trying to fill the vessel back up to raw power after the transformation starts.
>>
>>6352613
Doesn't work how you're thinking. It acts as a bottomless resource to pull from, but it doesn't flood you with infinite mana. That would just explode you after a few seconds, like overinflating a balloon. And once the transformation would be completed, you could then draw more mana in. But the more bestial forms prevent any spellcasting akin to a multiclassed Barbarian being unable to cast while raging.
>>6352618
Would certainly rattle him, if Karn bluntly called him out. But what lies would Karn see through? So far he's only told you the truth. He's not spoken a single lie to you in this meeting.
>>
>>6352619
I think the worst part is Karn can say he can just tell he's lying about something from all his dealings with assassins over the years, not know what he is lying about specifically with the info he brought, but just knows he is leaving something out. Doesnt have to be crazy, its more the point that again, the brick is calling him out to his face.
>>
Been writing the arc epilogue, man digging into the feels on this one. Gonna be a Chilli pov to end the arc on, and a very important question he has to ask himself.

>>6352622
Reminder that Elec's not an assassin. He's a sleasy middleman for the PTO, he's a broker not a fighter or assassin.
>>
>>6352989
Eh, same kind of scum, honestly the assassins are more honest, which should hit even harder when we call him out.
>>
Happy New Year
>>
>>6353375
The issue with calling him out is that we don't actually know anything else about his plans save for what we've been able to infer based on this singular interaction.
We call him out now, he's gonna get spooked and go to the ground, making him harder to pin. Counterintuitive as it may seem, I'd suggest operate as if he fooled us completely for now and let him incriminate himself unwittingly while revealing the true extent of his plans, pulling that noose tighter around his neck before we actually deal with him.
I imagine the Cold Clan was doing exactly that for the last few decades and that Bane might suggest as much as well.
>>

>>6353377

>>6353375

>>6353377
Happy new year indeed! Endng this one, this year and arc off with a Christmas epilogue for Chilli. Perhaps finding what he really seeks.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest Universal Survival Arc Epilogue-

AGE 759, PLANET RENSACOR

You lay there in bed beside your wife as she sleeps, holding her as you're lost in thought. Remembering the events of the previous day, of that wild tournament and all that happened. But as you lay there, you find yourself mentally connecting back to the avatar of your planet.

“Champion. Your mind is troubled.” the embodiment of the world you'd named thinks to you. “You are... Still pondering your death?”
“Yeah.” you reply telepathically, body perfectly still as you hold your sleeping wife. But almost as if she can sense your unease, she shifts closer, pressing her back more firmly against your chest. Pulling your arm tighter around herself. To which you smile softly before continuing the mental communication. “It's just... I did everything I could. Yet I didn't even stand a chance. Not because of the power gap, or the strain of using all of my various powers to their fullest extent. But because I'd been outsmarted. Not even just that, but I'd never even considered what he did to do best me as an option.”

“You think this lapse in judgment is a serious failure?” the avatar replies, having grown used to your near-constant communication when thinking through your issues or working in your workshop while your family and house sleeps. “That you are a failure for losing?”
“Yes. Because if I was the last line of defense, if everyone was counting on me, we'd all have been erased.” you continue honestly, the faint scent of your wife reminding you to take a breath in. Breathing through your nose, enjoying her unique scent before exhaling slowly. “Were everyone to count on me, the way we all rely on my father, our universe would be no more. And it would be all my fault.”
“And you think yourself the inheritor of your father's mantle of the universe's protector?” Rensacor asks, the avatar of your world's question echoing through your mind. A question to which, obviously, you had thought you were. But as your world asks you this question, you seriously doubt it for the first time.

You are Chilli the Crystal Sage, husband to Megumin, father of Meloka Wolbach and Kazuburo, and the firstborn son of General Karn. You are the first full-blooded Saiyan who was born with mana, who can wield magic. The only one in your lifetime so far born with that rare latent ability. And with this ability you'd become an Archwizard, built a life all your own. With your own wife and children, a village you protect, and even a whole world given to you by Freeza that you call your own. And, yet...

“I... I had thought so, yes.” you answer honestly after a few moments. “As my father's firstborn son, as the first one to use magic, I had thought... Thought that with this power, the magic to shape the world, that I... That I would be the one everyone relied on, whenever...”
“Whenever your father's time had passed?” the avatar asks, its thoughts not judgmental, just curious.
“Well...” you start to reply, only to suddenly sense something. As you'd been laying there, suddenly you sensed another being suddenly in your home. Immediately you sneak out of bed, padding silently through your home on bare feet. Rushing silently down the stairs to the main floor, decorated for the Christmas holiday. And there, at the tree you'd cut down with your wife and kids, is a man. One who's power feels... Different. It reminds you of your mother and older sister's godly powers, but there's something else to it too. And, just like your father the red-robed figure can seemingly sense you looking, and turns.

“Well well, looks like I wasn't quiet enough.” the long bearded man says with a chuckle, belly rolling like jelly. “Seems you've chosen quite the champion.”
“Huh?” you reply in confusion as Rensacor's avatar body you'd created appears in the room as well, its doll-like face smiling.
“Yes. My champion is quite something.” she replies, her expression then turning a bit curious. “Perhaps you can help him?”

“Ho ho, oh? And what is the matter, young man? Come, sit with me awhile.” he replies, turning from it to you and gesturing at the two chairs by the fireplace, helping himself to the plate of cookies and the glass of milk your daughter had insisted be left out for him on the small table between them. Even though you weren't entirely sure this saint was a real person, and not just a fantasy invented for the holiday. Some tradition your wife's clan kept. “And don't worry about me, I have plenty of time to finish my other deliveries.”

He delivers that last sentence with a wink, tapping his nose mischievously. Leaving you at a loss for the moment, but with Rensacor's clear knowledge of this being and his non-threatening nature, you decide to sit as well. Sitting by the fireplace which ignites at a gesture, the atmosphere of your crystal home quickly turning cozy.

“So, tell me. What's been bothering you, Chilli?” he asks, your eyes widening.
“How do you...?” you start, then dismiss that question at the grin you see on his face, the mirth in his eyes. Right, the guy who supposedly goes around the world delivering gifts with his list of naughty and nice wouldn't know who you are.

“It's... Well...” you start, uncertain at first. But as you explain your situation, what happened with your death at the Tournament of Power, how you failed to save the universe, how once more it came down to your dad despite your best efforts, the large, rosy-cheeked man smiles while listening to your tale intently. Expression turning thoughtful as you continue, telling the whole story and your doubts. “By now, I thought I'd start being the one. The person everyone looked up to to save the day, to face the monsters and madmen seeking to destroy everything and everyone. That I, with my magic and strength, would be the bulwark between our people and the dark.”

“I see. Well, let me ask you one question.” the elderly saint asks, eyes serious yet twinkling as he leans in closer. “Is that what you want?”
“I, uhh, what?” you reply, confused by the question.
“Is that what you want? Truly?” he asks, not looking away or leaning back. “Your father is... A lot of things. He's the most simple complicated man I've ever had to try and put to a list. But you have seen first-hand what his position of defender costs him. Is that what you really want? Is his way the life you want to live? Or does it feel more like an obligation? One you MUST be, a path you must follow as his son?”

And suddenly, memories pour in. Of all the times your dad would be gone, or away, or too busy to spend time with yourself or your siblings. So much so that at one point you'd questioned if he even liked you at all. Eventually you understood that what he was doing was for you all, to grow up as you wanted and be who you wanted. But you also know what that costs. And the thought comes to your mind, how your own children would react if you spent that much time away from them. Unlike your father was for you, you're a far more constant presence in your children's lives. Attending their school events, being involved with their friends, being PRESENT.

“I... I want to be here. For my children.” you confess, and as you do it feels as if a leaden weight is lifted off your heart. You suddenly feel lighter, freer. No longer held down by the guilt you felt every time you'd considered NOT being the one everyone relied on. The guilt of not doing enough, of not BEING enough to replace your dad. “Like my dad didn't get the chance to do with us. He was so busy saving us from all the terrible things in the universe, always so busy training that... That he never got to really be there with us as we grew up. But I can't just... I can't just NOT do the same. Can I?”
“Sometimes, the best gift we can give ourselves, is the gift of letting go.” the man says with a gentle look in his eyes. Eyes filled with ancient wisdom, and centuries of experience. “Of giving up on preconceived notions on who or what we are supposed to be, and instead fully embracing who we CHOOSE to be.”

His words echo in your mind in the silence as he continues to finish the plate of cookies, drinking the last of the milk with a satisfied sigh. Then, with a grunt the ancient saint pushes himself back up to his feet, walking over to his sack he'd left by the tree. And with a grunt lifts it, slinging it over his shoulder as you sit there, turning his words over and over in your mind.

“Is that what you did?” you ask him, the man stopping in his tracks. “Did you choose to become... This? Over who or whatever you were before?”
“Oh ho ho, of course.” he says, smile widening. Turning sharper, more wolf-like. And, for a split-second, his image seems to flicker before you. His appearance turning more gaunt and hardened, one eye covered by a patch as the other looks with the icy steel of an ancient, battle-hardened warrior. But before you can even fully process this, he's back to his jolly self with a twinkle in his eye. “Oh, and one last thing: Merry Christmas, Chilli.”

And before you can respond he's just... Gone. Immediately expanding your ki sense, you detect ten ki signatures on the roof of your home, that man as well as nine far smaller energy signatures. Which then also take to the air, the ten of them vanishing in seconds. Leaving you in the silence of the room, Rensacor having left at some point as well. Leaving you alone in the silence to contemplate his words.

“Who we choose to be...” you mutter, turning the words over in your mind as you silently head back upstairs. Moving silently through your home, returning to your bedroom with your wife. Slipping back into bed behind her, Megumin muttering in her sleep and scooting back closer to you. Grabbing your arm, holding you tighter as she settles back in. But as the hours pass, you keep turning that conversation over in your mind. So absorbed in your thoughts you don't even notice the sun rising, until your bedroom door suddenly slams open, your children rushing in shouting.
“Mom! Dad! Wake up! It's Christmas!” they shout, pouncing on the two of you excitedly. Being careful with their mother, cautious with their power not to hurt her. “It's Christmas it's Christmas!”

Your wife sits up groggily, which quickly evaporates as their words register. Their joy and excitement infectious, your wife quickly rising up out of bed in her pajamas as well. And once you and Megumin are awake they take off, dashing downstairs to see the presents.

“Mornin' hun.” your wife says sleepily, kissing you gently. “You ready?”
“Yeah. Yeah I am.” you reply, your wife looking curiously at you a moment. Hearing the tone not matching her question, she raises a brow. But doesn't press, instead you both head back downstairs. Where your children are already frozen, both staring at the two new presents there. The ones that weren't there yesterday.

“Santa. He... He really came.” your daughter says, turning to you. Eyes wide in awe.
“Of course he's real. We had a nice talk last night.” you say, both your kids staring at you with wide eyes. Even your wife's head whips around towards you, jaw dropping a bit. “Why don't you two open his presents first?”
“OKAY!” they reply in tandem, unwrapping the saint's gifts first. Kazuburo, having been less careful has unwrapped his to reveal a book of sorts.

“It's a book?” he asks, running a hand carefully over the strange, golden eye-like symbol on the cover. But as he opens the tome his eyes widen, jaw dropping for a second before whirling towards you both, showing you the page he opened to. “MOM! DAD! LOOK! It's a whole book on more monsters to summon!”
“Wow. That's quite impressive.” you say, looking over the page he's opened to. Even from here you see several monsters you don't recognize, but there's one you do: Veidos! That volcano dragon you and your family faced, saving that cursed, ash-covered city. But as Kazuburo starts gingerly flipping through the pages of that massive tome, your daughter's opened her gift as well. And she's just as awed as her brother, staring wide-eyed at the present open in her lap.

“Is that...” your wife asks, eyes wide as she looks at what your daughter is holding. Meloka Wolbach turns, and you see her present as well. A spellbook of her own, one with several spherical gems inlaid on the ornamentation, and one on the front of the book as well.
“A spellbook! I got one too!” Meloka Wolbach says, opening it excitedly. But, as she does, you see her brows furrowing. “Woah. This is hard. These spells look super-duper complicated.”

“Sounds like you got a good gift then, something to make you even better.” you tell her, your daughter's expression lighting up at the challenge. But then your eyes go to Kazuburo, who's standing holding two more presents, looking even happier. Two more presents you don't recognize. “What's that?”
“Two more presents from Santa.” he says, eyes meeting your own. “One for you. And one for Mom.”
“Then what are you standing over here for? Give your mother her present, son.” you say gently, Kazuburo rushing over to his mother, holding out the gift. Your wife looks curiously to it, then to you. Which you shrug to, your wife turning back and gently opening it as your son brings you your present as well. It's a small box, no more than a cubic foot, but as you hold it, staring at the box, it suddenly feels very heavy.

“Open it, Dad, open it!” Meloka Wolbach calls, you gently tearing open the wrapping as well. And there, inside the carefully-prepared box, is what looks like a small handheld mirror wrapped in silver with the word “Erised” carved in the top. You peer into it, but that's when the mirror's image changes. Showing you not your reflection, but you and your wife sitting where you are, looking at your children opening their presents excitedly. Holding your wife with one arm, watching the kids open their presents. “What is it?”

“I dunno.” you reply, flipping it over on the back. Where a few simple words are carved into the silver:
So you never lose sight of what you really want.
-Santa

“What I really want...” you murmur, your wife then gasping beside you. Turning, you see her holding a collection of what at first appear to be gemstones.

“Ioun Stones.” your wife says, turning to you with a smile. Tossing each of the stones up as she calls them out in order, the stones orbiting your wife's head as she tosses them. A pale green prism, a dusty rose prism, and a vibrant purple prism. “A stone of Mastery. A stone of Protection. And a stone of Reserve. What did you get?”
“A mirror.” you say, holding it up and flipping it to the back side so your wife can read the inscription in the back. “So you never lose sight of what you really want? Chilli, is that...? Is that the Mirror of Erised?”
“That's what it says on the front.” you reply, turning it around. Your wife reading the engraved word, eyes going wide as she looks from it to you. Voice dropping to a whisper.

“What... What did you see?” she asks, an almost fearful note in her voice. But you reply with a smile, sliding your chair slightly closer, wrapping your arm around her then call to the kids.
“Why don't you two open your red-wrapped presents first?” you ask them, both kids rushing to them immediately, sitting on the carpet and carefully opening them before you whisper, just loud enough for your wife to hear. “This. This is what I saw.”

Setting the mirror down, holding your wife, you watch as your children open their presents. Watching the joy on their faces as you hold your wife. And, for the first time, you don't feel guilty about not pushing yourself every second. You don't HAVE to take your father's place, you don't have to be the one who lives up to his name. Perhaps you don't HAVE to be him, don't have to bear the weight he has. And you can just be Chilli; a father, a husband, protector of one small village and leader of a single world. Not the one responsible for the fate of the universe, the man who stands between everyone and oblivion, but instead a father responsible for your family, your village, and one small out-of-the-way world. And, perhaps, that's enough.

oof, arghh, right in the feels.
This quest continues to surprise me with each new character that appears in it. Saint Nick aside, I really like how you haven't left Chilli on his own when it comes to his personal development. He's easily the most independent of our children, but I think it took him a long time to really understand *why* Karn gave up what he did to become that pillar of strength and support.
>>
>>6353420
I'm glad Chilli's on his way to figuring things out. It wasn't easy, and God knows it's gonna stay that way, but he's doing just fine.
Best gift I could have asked for.
>>
>>6353424
Glad you enjoyed that one, always fun to hit the deep lore even just for a moment.
>>6353436
Yes. Chilli'd always thought that he was supposed to follow in his father's footsteps. But has realized that he doesn't HAVE to. It isn't an obligation he has to follow, that he doesn't have to become his dad.
>>6353437
Glad to keep the hits coming anon. And yes. He understands everything his dad gave up for them, to give them the chance to choose their own lives and live how they want. But Chilli now gets it, he can truly live how he wants without feeling guilty about not being his dad.
>>6353438
He's a smart man. Stubborn, like his father, but that's not always a bad thing.
Best gift indeed.
>>
>>6353420
Fuck you, I'm not crying, someone is cutting onions, lots of onions.
>>
>>6353440
I'm glad chili is learning that he doesn't have to be us, and can live his life. Lord knows how much Karn has sacrificed so that our children can get to make this choices instead of having the choices made for them.

But none of them so far seem to realize that after Karn is gone it's not going to chili Vs a threat, or Chaya vs threat, it's going to be all our kids working together to stop a threat.

Who TF could stand up to the Karn clan after we bite the dust or retire?
>>
>>6353543
Indeed, nearly kept me from finishing that one. Glad you enjoyed.
>>6353562
Yes. Karn's the example, so they all see they don't each have to be him. And that's the secret: none of them can replace him, not by themselves. But together? With their power and teamwork combined, even two whole Karn wouldn't survive being in the middle of that blender for long.

Very good epilogue. I guess this is a life changing moment for Chilli.

I’m trying to guess the name of this arc, but I can’t. Maybe "Visit in Universe 6"?
>>
>>6353982
Freeza knows his brother's personal history and former vendetta with the Saiyans, and doesn't want to risk any conflicts.
No. That world IS Chilli's. Just like Aku's planets are his, or anyone else who bought a planet from the PTO.
He is real if you believe.
There are a lot of magical artifacts scattered across the Seventh. Just ask Cold.
We'll see how it changes him, going forward.
>Visit in Universe 6
Do you really think it'd be anything so simple? Or straightforward?

Okay. That's great too.
>Do you really think it'd be anything so simple? Or straightforward?
Honestly no, but how to call it? Let's think about it. In the Tournament of Power:
>Karn won,
>Meloka won,
>Chaya won,
>Chili won,
>Caulifa won,
>Freeza won,
>Cooler won,
>Ginyu won,
>Plastic Man won,
>Rimuru won
Vox won, Universe seventh’s deities won. Entire Universe 7 won. Maybe some people from other Universes don’t like that? Even in Universe 7 there’s at least one person who does not like Saiyans even though they fought for his survival too (Granolah). Therefore maybe next arc can be called “Suffering From Success”.

Also there was a big celebration at the end of Tournament of Power on planet New Salda, but they did celebrate on planet Rensacor too. Right?
