You are Bob Petter. Former genius delinquent student turned apocalyptic superhuman boytoy and stud to the deadliest VERY loosely defined women you could find. You admit you have uh...major issues when it comes to your taste in the opposite sex with a huge deathwish. Yet your big brain must also be sated, too. That is what hobbies are for...specifically SCIENCE! While everyone else struggles to survive, you have long concluded that such things are far beneath you. Better to live off deadly females and join the fun factions so you can focus on what you love most.

SEX and SCIENCE!

Who gives a fuck about the consequences? It's not like the world isn't already ruined and there isn't an ongoing apocalypse or anything. In fact, unlike most survivors, you arguably adapted to a disturbing degree and in doing so discovered your true self. To others, this is an end, but to you, it is a new beginning.

The only downside is that at times, you have to leave your comfy lab or bedroom. As for some stuff, you need to handle yourself, no matter how much you may want to delegate. After all, nobody else is gonna understand the needs and idiosyncrasies of a Hivemind abomination mountain of flesh with far too many heads and tentacles with an obsession with adding new heads to its collection and a strange interest in tentacles. That, for some reason, decided that rather than add your empty head to its collection, you would instead serve as a great see only intern to its glorious scientific abominable mind! At least the benefits are great, and you can finally get paid when your internship ends.

Plus your currently trying to avoid your adopted big sister, who may have sorta...be SUPER fucking pissed off at you for your activities. Hopefully, your fiancée will forgive you for dumping it on her, and she'll be able to handle it. You trust that mind-controlling witch to uphold her side of the deal. Just gotta consider what kind of gift you bring back for forgiveness...

Right now, it's honestly safer to be in the most dangerous part of a glowing city full of murderous machines, insane regenerating ghoul hordes on crack, and swarms of loose bioweapons that escaped containment. While the weather cannot make up its mind to settle on a radioactive blizzard, a hurricane, or some kind of anomaly like a gravitic firestorm. You are right in the very heart of it. Still safer than dealing with your big sister. Yes, she scares you that much. Also, yes, it's a major reason for your issues with women.

Honestly you HAVE been rather busy. Mostly in regards to living off women and establishing yourself with the 'right' factions but hey you have to start somewhere. Plus you even managed to get some time to do some SCIENCE! That even combined your two favorite things! Truly, you are a genius.

"Still got those damn Oathkeeper tails on us," grumbles a wrangler.

"Bastards nearly sniped some of us if it weren't for some of you big guys. I cannot believe how accurate or perceptive you fuckers are despite the blizzard," pointed out another.

Only for a nearby hulking mishapen mutant with far too many eyes simply shrugs as it 'holds' its grotesquely oversized mixture between a resized artillery cannon and anti material rifle as if it were a lightweight toy. "They have still been on us almost this whole time, and they have gotten sneakier than before," The hulking mutant states.

"Still, we have clearly been marked...we are the only ones with mutants and ghouls grouping together," states the mutant boss.

"You think they'll take a chance at us?" Questions the wrangler boss.

"Heh, no. Whatever is going on with the machines has had them back off temporarily."

They spoke as you finally entered the Industrial Zone. You noticed large swathes of it were still blacked out entirely, but other sections were rumbling to life. You could hear the churning of active machinery within. Even with some automated trucks and railcars moving with industrial robots at work. Going further in meant either visiting the security gates or finding another way in...you approach the gates. You have your suspicions about what is going on with the AI even if you haven't checked directly with AWD. As you approach, you pull out your idea. Shame about not having a better uniform yet, but honestly, your Abyss one offers far superior protection.

"HALT. ID REQUESTED. THIS IS NOW A RESTRICTED AREA," Shouts out a sentry bot on alert.

"SCANNING...SCANNING...CREDENTIALS CONFIRMED," Speaks a robobrain squatting in the security office desk. "TEMPORARY ACCESS GRANTED."

"Uh, what about my companions?"

"BIOWEAPON REGISTRATION ACCEPTED UNDER BOB PETTER. BOB PETTERIS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ACTIONS OF BIOWEAPONS BROUGHT IN BY HIMSELF." It coldly states.

"Huh, we are a bunch of bioweapons?" Grumbles one ghoul.

"Oh shut up, at least it's enough to get us in," states another.

The mutants meanwhile, shrug it off since technically many of them did indeed come from some bioweapon project or another.

"Uh any place I can see what war materials are available and who is in charge?" You ask the robobrain the clear 'brain' of this operation.

"Check the registry for available resources. Command is REQUISITIONED under total war protocols under AWD AUTOMATA WARFARE. All resources are temporarily under drafted martial law and order."

"Ah, so there IS an AWD AI installed in here, right?" You confirmed.

"Supervisory unit for industrial oversight has indeed been deployed on the premises," confirmed the robobrain.

"Well, that makes things MUCH easier. How many AI units were originally installed?"

"Partial conversion following worker riots and management crisis over increasing automation. Phasing out of labor requirements confirmed in older industrial zones.
>>
>>6376305
Infected worker contractual obligations withheld and transferred to outlying, outdated industrial parks. Updated zones feature full automata suites including top of the line AI oversight and review," finishes explaining the robobrain.

"So where is the AWD AI?" You inquire.

"ACCESS DENIED. HIGHER CLEARANCES REQUIRED." It responds.

"Figures," you sigh. "Well, at least getting what we need shouldn't be too big a problem." You head over to a nearby office building, which should contain the registry that will reveal what is available. Oh boy, do you ever. The offices were completely empty except for a few skeletons that the Handies haven't realized are dead and instead still working overtime. There youare, after scavenging around for a bit, finally find the up to date registry on a terminal in the sales department. Ther,e it lists available goods that flash in and out as they get 'bought' or 'requisitioned'. Stil,l from the looks of it, most goods being bought are trade goods or life necessities. The rest are construction or war materials. Are all contested in what is available in the 'market'. Which just so happens to completely spare what you're after. All that lab equipment and parts you need.

"Holy shit...they have THIS much stuff...it even explains how much is being produced on a daily basis and what is available. Holy fuck, even stuff that is on sale? What kind of market...what do we pay for this?" Questions a ghoul wrangler using another terminal.

"Payment processors...offline. Cash may be turned into 'caps' for requisitions. Daily allotment for citizens...additional trade offers for precious metals, raw materials, and fuel direct exchanges are available in the registered vendor stations," you read aloud.

"You think they take jewelry?"

"Well, probably not the gems but the metal, yeah," you respond.

"Still, I don't get how the fuck is all this shit online and working? No people? No buyers. Nobody in charge...what the hell is going on," mutters another wrangler.

This time, you stayed silent as you had a pretty good idea of what was happening. Normal places should be getting ravaged by disasters, war, plague, and endless shortages but city...it never truly ran out of resources for some reason. There was always MOAR. Thanks to that...it was a prime target for AWD requisitions. Still, while a lot was available, you noticed top of the line and custom spec weren't available. Meaning you had to go somewhere else to find the best of the best, and that is sorta what you need to. There is only one place you can think of to scavenge it...luckily, you sent a message back to rendezvous with someone who should be able to help.

Katarina.

Only you expect this trip to be far more dangerous than the industrial sector, crawling with machines. Your ID still works here after all but the next place you plan to visit...the bioweapons escaping from there won't care.
>>
>>6376306
No way you're getting inside there without one hell of a fight, but if you're gonna take the risk anyway, might as well go big, right? So after coughing up all the goodies you need to get the stuff ordered and packaged away for later transport. You head over to the most feared quarter in all the research zones.

>Think Tanks

There were a lot of terrible rumors about those places even before the bombs. Stuff you heard plenty about all 'conspiracies' of course...but after discovering Abyss and what was hiding beneath the city. You realized that there was far more truth in those rumors than anyone could imagine. If anything, they were downplaying it big time. The research zone was indeed in utter chaos. You could find remains of machines, ghouls, and bioweapons littering the entire place. Along with regular screams, unspeakable sounds, and gunfire spread chaotically throughout. Taking a glimpse into the nearby labs...you confirmed some suspicions of yours.

It wasn't a complete lifting of the lockdown. Instead, it was partial, and it was planned out carefully. Evacuation channels for any surviving personnel. Carefully ordered formations of robots to hold the line or a PURGE. System power and resources were instead rerouted directly to keep the truly...dangerous things contained for as long as possible. Apparently, anything that was deemed to be 'weak' was simply freed. Enabling the ghouls and robots to clean them up theoretically outside. Given the sheer volume of fighting both past and present...clearly the plan didn't work out so well.

Still, you don't know what other countermeasure is gonna get flipped next. Especially as you went deeper, you encountered fiercer and fiercer resistance. Luckily, you had enough IDs scavenged from fallen robots rigged into pass you off. With the ghoul wranglers carefully surrounding you all to keep away the other ghouls. It still wasn't enough. The bioweapons set loose were simply too numerous and strong. Worst of all, the deeper in you got, the worse the anomalies that kept on surging forth. Half the time, it felt like you lost more forces to damned weather changes than the actual bioweapons.

Still, eventually you succeeded, albeit barely and at great cost, to enter the very heart of the research zones...

>Discovered location:
>THINK TANK

Unsurprisingly, you found many of the facilities here were still fully locked down. Apparently, whatever is inside is considered too dangerous to release and conserve resources. In addition, you also saw broken facilities reminiscent of Abyssal facilities, which were often breached from the inside. While the remaining few had partial lockdowns lifted. Here, you could feel the buzzing and crackling within your head. With wild fluctuations in the weather was constant. Even micro tears in reality, if your head wasn't playing tricks on you...

Here, though, you knew the best stuff was gonna be. Only major concern though...was how empty it was and quiet. TOO quiet.
>>
>>6376307
"The only problem is getting out, huh? I thought retrieval would have been a problem." You mutter, ignoring her blatant signals.

"Heh, there USED to be quite the top of the line security system...key phrase used to be. Most of them are wrecked. They were never designed to handle the kind of trouble and damage anomalies would unleash. Who knows how long before the remainders will fall apart? This place is arguably one of the most dangerous, if not the most dangerou,s in the whole city. Right now, it's still just barely getting started. So think carefully about what you want to grab before we leave."

"Any idea on where all the...escapees went? Why didn't they stick around?"

"Hiding. Even anomalies are dangerous to them...so far. Plus, if you haven't noticed, there isn't anything here for them to prey upon. Even the robots haven't managed to force their way this deep yet. They're too busy trying and failing to guard a perimeter. Much less rally enough troops to purge the facilities. Much less reach this deep."

"I need the stuff for Many Heads. Including some cloning equipment for some reason besides that, though," your mind is buzzing full of possibilities. The very best tech all right here for you to grab...only, how are you gonna take it back home? DAMN IT. So many choices...still, you have a few that are a must grab. Fertility. Robotics. Superhuman genome... then again, you can probably visit AWD for the robotics. Assuming you manage to earn enough ranks to get access to their juiciest goodies, but the think tanks may have stuff even they don't have. Whatever you try to grab, you need to somehow leave with it. That drastically reduces your options and carrying capacity...

choices. Choices. CHOICES. Damn it, how are you supposed to make up your mind? Then your gaze flickers over to a bunch of female ghoul wranglers and Katarina...hm. Who says it has to be your problem again? I mean, you DO keep them around for a reason, right?

What do?
>Gigolo gonna gigolo

This is an extremely rare, exceptional opportunity to have access to the very best loot a 100 can offer in this region, and the guardians are currently...distracted. While security is still semi functional and the environment hasn't completely gone to hell yet.

Need to know info. Character build is a very...odd one. Went with charisma adjacent build despite having shit charisma and speech/barter. Compensated via perks and doubling down on a selection who is otherwise very lacking. MC is capable of fighting but is extremely cowardly and prefers to hide behind others/fight dirty. Does technically have the ability to fight just prefers having others do so despite not having the right perks or build so...yeah. Moving into more noncombat skills like science in order to further engage in Bob's preferred hobbies when he isn't plowing deadly pussy as if his life depends on it given his tastes it does.

Quest is a dynasty quest. MCs are expendable and WILL die. You have children to prevent a game over as they will become the next MC.

Currently reviewing some stuff, as I didn't account for such a cowardly MC build that does its best to avoid fighting and prefers to live entirely off others. Also have to calculate the peculiar EXP gains and what perks leveled up. Stud level ups are based on successful birth and difficulty of impregnation, so they will be the slowest in theory.

Currently character is speccing into a noncombat and support specialist. In terms of behavior...a completely amoral scumbag who only cares about two things. Beyond that really don't care/would rather dump it on someone else to handle. Including his own survival and needs. Not that he cannot mind you but why bother when she'll do it for him? Yeah the character in question has HUGE character flaws and issues. Of which instead of resolving he simply prefers to double down on to a suicidal degree.

Most likely cause of death is deadly sex or science gone awry.

Lets hit the two places that aren't wrecked. I doubt the loot is intact in the breached ones, and I'm afraid of what might still be lurking there on the loose," you state. As a result, the forces split up. Only trouble is nobody has any real brains except for you and Katarina. Meaning you had to personally investigate each facility in order to make sure you grab the right stuff.

Oh boy did they have great shit. Abyss was secretive and had many secret supporters...ultimately weren't rich. Too busy trying to save humanity, which as it turns out isn't good for profits. This places though? Top of the line. Everything. Even the places that had been temporarily unsealed to release the less dangerous specimens and allow evacuation. They didn't care too much about what they left behind. In fact, your greatest pain was the sheer volume of loot you had to leave behind. Too many damned crazy ghouls died on the way here as meatshields. Honestly, not very many of them were left, so they didn't work too well as pack mules. Just not enough of them and you all do need the meatshields.

However, there wasn't without problems. For one thing, the facilities that were partially unlocked had upgraded seals and clearances. So you didn't have the right credentials at all and got denied deeper access. Even for Katarin, it would be time consuming to hack and bypass their security measures. Given that they are currently trying to contain something so dire that the entire City + factions like AWD want nothing to do with...really not worth the risk. Still, what was available was way too much to handle. You actually had to be super picky on what to grab and frankly you leave far too much behind...who knows if you can ever come back here again. AWD is throwing everything it can to secure the perimeter and failing. The shit that was released was deemed 'less dangerous'.

Meanwhile, you couldn't resist checking out the really tempting stuff. The only facilities still under complete lockdown...imagine what they could be hiding? Just gotta make sure it's still properly locked down and there isn't some kind of abomination trying to breach the last doors to freedom. You've seen the remains of that happening with Abyss. So you know the warning signs.

Searching around you and Katarina soon find the facilities in full lockdown that in theory shouldn't be too bad to access. With your combined credentials thanks to a certain black ops borg that you remind yourself needs some special loving because holy shit you underestimated how great that ID was. Plus Katarina's superior hacking and physical bypassing. You soon gained entry. Holy shit, you thought the opened ones were good but this? PRISTINE. Untouched. No evacuation. No looting. Nothing. Security humming loudly and fully powered.

>Dat roll
Welp so much for security being a problem. LOL.
----
This...this was the motherload of all motherloads. Best of all, it clearly marked out the most dangerous areas with various projects gone wrong and where containment is the strongest. Including holding cells. Which you all decided to avoid. Whatever the fuck they are working on isn't worth trying to peek at or get murdered horribly by. These facilities also aren't potentially hiding anything that got loose or wandered inside. Much safer. Just the security systems and whatever hell the anomalies are unleashing to worry about. As you notice, that sorta stuff tends to cause 'glitches' and malfunctions at best.

Only now, your limited carrying capacity is really killing you. So much stuff you simply cannot take with you. So many tools. So much equipment. Too much gear. Research...wait, research? You wonder if you have enough storage to steal it...surely Abyss would also love a copy, right? You might even find out whatever the hell it was that caused shit to hit the fan. Fortunately it turned out that was what Katarina's was prioritizing. As she had massive data storage drives brought in that were heavily armoured, she plugged them in and started downloading after bypassing their security measures.

"...You aren't interested in the loot?" You couldn't help but ask her as she reviewed some particularly interesting files.

"Heh I wish. Rather not torment myself with things I cannot hope to bring back. Besides, when I went to the undersea cityscape, I managed to 'acquire' a lot of loot and collected some debts. I am hanging out with Abyss for mutual assistance. Not like I need them, but thanks to their rampant paranoia, the number of their faculty surviving is high enough to be useful, but compare that to this place? Noticed there are no faculty in here?"

"...You got a point about that," you admit. It's truly strange. Everything is pristine and intact...but all the employees are simply gone? That doesn't make any sense.

"They were liquidated as a means of damage control and loss prevention," she spoils it for you.

"What? That is madness. Whoever can work in here is irreplaceable! Even Abyss doesn't kill off their faculty that much...except for their interns anyway. Sucks to be one of them, apparently."

"Heh you vastly overestimate them. Even my precious USSR and China would do the same thing. In research, this is dangerous...if anything goes wrong. Kill off any and all potential leaks while containing the problem until it can be dealt with, and if it cannot be dealt with, than self destruct the facility with everything inside."

"Wait all these think tanks are rigged to blow up?"

"Not sure the details of their self destruct mechanism, given their location, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were all secretly rigged with nukes. Not like it's something that they will show in the floor plans."

"Are we safe then?"
>>
Rolled 68 (1d100)

>>6376857
"For now...clearly the anomalies have caused it to malfunction as well. Otherwise, those breaches would never have happened."

"Shit. Anyway to manually trip them?"

She shrugs. "I wouldn't know. It would take quite some time to break apart this facility and find the correct mechanism. After all, they don't want the faculty to easily find it when they're dealing with experiments gone awry or handling repairs. They always hide it deep and well."

That was when you were interrupted with a crackling voice over the radio, strange screams, and gunfire.

"We may have a problem out here," states the wrangler boss.

"What's going on?"

"Our perimeter is being breached by escaped experiments gone wrong. Also, teams encountered resistance in the partially opened facilities. Turned out not everything was left."

"How bad are the losses?" Asks Katarina.

"Running out of crazies, and the other muties are taking quite the beating. Luckily, our mutie allies aren't made up of a bunch of rejects. Would be nice if some of them made it here, though. To be frank, we are out of meatshield,s and what comes next isn't gonna be pretty. I don't know how the hell we are getting out of here alive."

"I wouldn't worry about that. I made sure to bring some...special Chimera along. Shame there aren't many of them, but they should get the job done. Make sure to recover the bodies and any scrap metal or lost gear. With the resources I have here...I should be able to cultivate for us a special batch. Should be enough for us to break out," instructs Katarina.

"You brought something special along?" You inquire.

>Intelligence check passed
>Medicine check failed
>Science check failed

"I'm afraid your skills are too lacking to fully appreciate what I brought with. A real shame. If only I had time to fully recalibrate the chimera strains for the apocayplyse I could show you their full potential," states Katarina as she heads off. "I already marked what I intend to recover. The rest is up to you. I need to quickly cultivate a special batch to get us out alive. Luckily, this place has everything I need and then some. Many Heads was so kind as to hand over some key findings of his. So make sure you hit the facility involving the parasites. That is where one of his 'missing' hives went. I'm sure it would want it back. Most dearly."

"Ah...damn if only you knew more. You haven't even begun to scratch the actual specialties of Many Heads. Still stuck on what it considers the 'basics'."

"What kind of hive?"

"Mutated variant that went parasitic and was affected by the anomalies. Nasty stuff but luckily, there aren't many hosts for it. So right now it should be plenty weak...well, except for whatever the anomalies cooked up with it."
>>
Rolled 77 (1d100)

>>6376858
"I remember Many Heads mentioning it only a few times. I'm surprised he told you all about it."

"It was very enthusiastic and happened to have some potential synergy. It really was a research exchange. After all the Chimera strains I had have become quite worthless after this. None of them is calibrated correctly anymore. I have to start from scratch anyway with new strains," sighs Katarina. "Still should be enough to get us out of this mess. From what I can tell, your forces are largely exhausted, yes?"

"...The meatshields, yeah. Any more losses are gonna hurt a lot from now on. Neither the wranglers nor these elite mutants are exactly replaceable."

With that, you soon call over the mutant boss and tell him about the new priority target.

"Hive? What priority?"

"High...no top level. Special Request of Many Heads," you state, changing your mind.

"Hm...we can grab it. If Many Heads wants it that bad, we'll make sure to get it."

"Good...just try not to damage it too much, alright? It needs to be salvageable at least."

"Heh, no promises, but we'll try. Whatever it has for defenses though. Don't expect any samples."

"Fine. Many Heads will just have to live with no hosts to start with."

After that, you considered what you should prioritize. If it's light, you can carry a lot more of it. Papers. Schematics. If you could only find the right ones would be more than worth it. Data too. As for the actual equipment, gear, and tools lying all around. Damn it, your carrying capacity is so limited, but if it's fully locked down, would the trucks still be there in the garage? No wait, that would just paint a bigger target on your back, and fat chance moving a truck safely through this mess. Damn it. Looking around, you can tell all their stuff is much better stock than what Abyss has. Plus, you would like to take some back for your own lab back home...traveling back and forth is exhausting. Not to mention the pent up and sexually frustrated ladies are especially bad for your health.

Some of them are. Even bigger problem is the heavy hitters(like tossing vehicles that than explode like nukes ontop of you). As well as blockages from stuck vehicles and rubble. You only made it this far due to amazing rolls and have a LOT of cannon fodder serving as meatshields that soaked up all the losses. The issue is you just ran out of them completely as they bought the dust buying time for looting and watching the perimeter. With only Katarina potentially having a solution to bail your asses out of the fire or its GGnot for real this time as you pregnant women carrying your offspring this time. The MC WILL die, though. That is assuming you don't get swarmed. As currently it's a free for all brawl between the escapees, crazed ghoul hordes, and robots.

That is assuming the weather doesn't choose to shit itself via anomaly bullshit, as you are currently located in one of the two most dangerous zones in the entire city. It is debate which is worse than the other.

"Attention to all forces. Priority #1 is collecting all samples. I repeat, priority #1 is sample collection." You first begin realizing that samples are not only extremely portable but also easy to snap up while fighting for your lives. "Priority #2 is data. Make sure to extract the portable hard drives brought along by Katarina's forces and make sure they're stuffed full. Do you see a computer or some research files? Grab it. Lastly, Priority #3 is anything else portable. Tools and papers. The biggest items we'll be looting are anything data storage related and larger samples."

With that...you needed to see Katarina for what you got next for your crazy ass plan. You know you don't have the skills to gain access, but she does. Too bad you hadn't brought some black ops Borgs, as that would also have worked. So first went to see while rushing through whatever you can to grab, while being extremely choosy. It hurt to leave so much behind. Oh, what you could have done with some of the equipment here. Alas, it's just too damned bulky and heavy. Why does nobody ever think to make shit smaller?

Still, you found Katarina right outside a biotechnical think tank specializing in medical and research material provisioning. Which you soon found out upon entering, ignoring the massive pools of blood and mountains of eerily similar corpses...meant cloning facilities. VAST cloning facilities. All the while, a suspicious cargo container pulsating with energy fields and covered in tarp was wheeled directly into the heart of the facility. You noticed that many of the cloning tanks had been hacked into and crudely modified. There was Katarina typing on the terminals and inputting unknown orders, but she stopped when her 'package' arrived. Pulled it off and deactivated the force field,s revealing what it was hiding...a neat, small hill of pulsating grey matter, draped in pulsating mycelium, and covered in carefully modified cybernetic and even computer components.

>Repair checks failed
>Medicine checks failed
>Science checks failed
>Intelligence check passed

You have no idea what that thing is, to be honest. Even when you looked up available Chimera files...you never saw anything like it. Even from their hives and most heavily infested zones. Yet there is Katarina petting it with her uncovered hands as if she were her most favorite pet...and then tapping onto a slab of flesh neatling revealing a concealed terminal connecting to it. That she proceeds to start rapidly typing.

"Well well...I thought you would be too busy on a free shopping spree, and it's not late enough for some late night fun, now is it? What brings you here?" Asks Katarina without looking up from the overgrown terminal she is typing on.

"Uh...got a special favor to ask from you that only you can do. I need access...to the locked-down parts of the installation."

"What?" That made her pause and look at you with a raised eyebrow. "Are you mad? Those areas are locked down for a reason."

"I don't need it ALL uplifted...just enough to access their data and sample storage."

"...Oh my you really are going big, aren't you? You truly want everything?"

You shrug in response. "Might as well before the data gets corrupted or the samples become contaminated. Besides, it would be an utter shame if the research dies with them."

"...I may have underestimated you truly," she mutters with a frightening smile that gives you just the 'right' tingles.

>Perception check passed

You just ignore how even the thing she is typing on and the chimera soldiers around her also tremble at it.

"Yes...I can do that. We won't have much time however. A vulnerability like that will both wake up the entire security system and provide an opening for what it is trying to contain."

"But it can be done..."

"Certainly let me finish up here real quick and say goodbye to a dear old comrade of mine. After that, once I begin you will need to haul ass and grab everything ASAP, then extract as if hell itself is breathing down your neck the whole time."

"Sounds...fun and excuse my curiosity...what is THAT thing exactly?" You couldn't deny your curiosity, and with Katarina in such a good mood pretty sure she is gonna let something slip she normally wouldn't.

"Ah this...officially was the command module of nests meant to better direct and control chimera bioweapons. Unofficially, it was what I was toying with on how to upgrade and push past the nesting phase. Ended up running out of time and unfortunately for me, this strain will no longer be viable. A real shame, given how long I kept it. It is one of the oldest of its kind and, unlike the others, was never destroyed or forced to hibernate. Many consider the War Mothers my Magnum Opus of scientific achievement in war sciences, but for me personally, I never saw it that way. The war mothers...were just a tool. A machine. This was meant to be so much more. Alas, it is no longer viable, and this is my final farewell to it and my Chimera."

"Wait... you're abandoning the Chimera?" You utter in shock. Never expecting her to abandon one of her key specialties.

"These are too outdated. The strains are no longer viable. Not after all, pure humans are going extinct, while there is pervasive radiation and mutagen exposure to compete against. Thus, I will have to make all new ones from scratch," Katarina sighs."However, I do not wish to...throw them away. Not truly. They were my most trusted comrades throughout my life. They deserve a dignified end...and the ability to revel in their true potential and power before the end. With these cloning facilities, nearby armories, and even experimental tech available to them. They will reach the peak of their potential instead of surviving with just battlefield scraps. Who knows, they might evenbe able to adapt, but at the very least they will buy us time to escape and sacrifice themselves for humanity one last time."

So your...setting them loose in the perfect habitat against the strongest of foes and environmental threats to either sink or swim...but you don't say that. Clearly she is hoping for a miracle.

"A...most worthy last sacrifice for them but why give it up entirely?"

"Not entirely. I just need to develop new strains but that will be a costly and not a timely affair. Contrary to what you may think bioweapons weren't THAT common on the battlefield and specifically most of them weren't made from mutagens but carefully engineered. Much easier to plan and build around. Still I finished up here. So next prepare to run VERY fast."

"HOLY FUCKING SHIT YOU WEREN'T KIDDING," you scream, dashing down a hallway as the previously far too silent facility suddenly wakes up as a whole, and you can hear unearthly bellows from behind. Followed by robotic screeches and automated defensive systems firing up.

"Look on the bright side...I think we DID get everything based on their targeting priority," laughs Katarina ,dodging bullets, lasers, and missiles with inhuman grace. "Admittedly, I MAY have gotten sloppy on account of the rush and not having to worry about any reports going up the chain." She finally admits.

Damn, you wish you could move like that..."Wait, this was on purpose?"

"Well, I need to buy some time for the Chimera to finish infesting and growing the first batch. Plus, I would hate to miss a test run, right? Who knows when I'll get to visit again?"

Sure enough, you see those misshapen reinforcements stagger in...except these ones are different. Seamless even unlike the previous patchwork frankesteins. Then you couldn't help but draw in your breath when you realized how armoured and well armed they are. As they opened fired providing cover for you two to escape with their own bodies.

"What the fuck is that? I thought Chimera were...uh...what's the word?"

"Ugly and misshapen? Actuall,y given the opportunity, that is what their true forms would like, but when all you have of battlefield carrion and scrapped gear to work with, you do what you can," smugly states Katarina. "Too bad this almost never happened. Especially after a uh... 'accident' of mine during an experiment to test their limits. Too 'uncontrolled' and 'dangerous', they said. Finally changing their minds when they finally got what they were demanding all along the pricks...these ones aren't quite the best though. The best take time to grow. These fast grown ones burn out too easily and are notably weaker. Some stuff you just cannot rush if you want optimal performance."

"So fucking fast? How did you manage to lose the war?" you grumble.

"We aren't the only ones with fancy toys and no resources," she chuffs.

Finally escaping outside. You, along with all the mutants, were gasping for breat,h having escaped the awakened deathtraps. Not even having time to catch your breath. As you all needed to run. Looking around though, you were surprised. Notably, the wranglers had somehow 'acquired' some new ghouls...albeit these ones are distinctly different. Sort of reminds you of the trap the ghouls had laid for the Oathkeeper,s but these ones...definitely much bigger and meaner looking. You're used to the decay and bloating of ghouls but not these guys. On top of that...when did a bunch of robots start showing up? A deep strike from AWD, and they just happened to run into you? That wasn't the weirdest oh no. It was the 'surprise' Katarina had prepared.

Her Chimera. Now 'perfected' with many of the elites dwelling among the hulking patchwork abominations you were much more familiar with. Except even these cheap and disposable bioweapons were now constructed entirely from other loose bioweapons and mutants. You could already feel the madness and wrongness radiating from them. Shit, some of them even GLOWED too. In different menacing colors. While the other ones... are much more streamlined but already overgrown and infested. Even worse, they had feral intelligence in their eyes and moved with grace and order. As if they were communicating, their bodies weren't rejecting the infestation. There were also a LOT more of them than you were expecting. With more of them constantly pouring out of the biotech supply think tank in a flood. Even worse, you could see a carpet of infestation rapidly growing behind them, swiftly overwhelming the entire facility.

"Friendlies identified, but I couldn't believe the codes we got back, but holy shit, it really is you? The suicidal lover. Here I thought you were a coward who solely loved kissing ass and licking pussy," guffaws a Black Ops cyborg that you recognize.

"What can I say...sometimes there are tasks one has to handle themselves in order to get it done properly. Plus, I'm just as confused as to what you all are doing here."

"Shit, the fan obviously. Everything didn't go to plan. So we got sent out on some deep strikes and to initiate a full purge protocol, but the weather is too shit for it to broadcast properly," admits the borg. "Although it looks like the fun started without us. What a shame."

"Oh, good, I thought you came after me for uh knocking you up," you sigh in relief.

"Oh, that? Nah, that is why I keep them babies on ice. If I don't make it back, they'll be your problem, though," shrugs the borg in question.

"...damn it."
>>
>>6377619
"Hahahah, I don't know how you did it with bypassing the safeguards, but it's fucking hilarious! Whoever heard of a borg worrying about birth control? Amazing prank by the way," It laughs. "Made all them bitches remember that why yes, once upon a time they had a real vagina and womb meant to be used. Buwahahahah, oh fuck the looks on their faces. Priceless."

"Good to know...you weren't one of them."

"Nah, they considered me 'too fresh' from my conversion. Still had too much humanity left in me. So, of course, I handled it better than they all did. Anyway, time to have some proper fun! As much as I would love another round with you but alas duty calls."

"You don't have a way to retreat, do you?" You finally realized.

"Nope. Classified as a suicide mission, but frankly I don't mind. I fucking hate being a borg. The way it changes you...The way it eats at you. It's unbearable. I would rather die with some humanity still inside me than as a monster with none. We'll try to liquidate as many of these facilities as possible via Purge Protocol and see how many abominations we can lure back inside as deep as we can. It will make containing the threat much easier and buy time to build a better perimeter."

"Uh, wait a second, what the fuck am I supposed to do if you get yourself killed?" You suddenly realize the now dire ramifications of fatherhood and outliving the mother...shit hadn't thought of that.

"Not my problem. You know, maybe decide to step up and not be a deadbeat? Otherwise, adoption exists, yeah? Not like the world is lacking in orphans," shrugs the borg one last time before entering one of the facilities.

"Hah, here you thought you could completely live off women entirely, yeah?" Giggles Katarina is clearly enjoying the show far too much. "She has a point, you know. Even if you do focus your efforts entirely on women like me, we aren't all going to make it, and then what hm?"

"..."

"You honestly hadn't thought of that? Seriously? What did you really think one of the other lovers would just adopt and raise your bastards like their own? Pfft as if. Count your blessings if we don't just try to kill each other, children included."

"That is what my wife is for," you mutter.

"The same is true for her too. True she is a scary piece of work, but even she'll prioritize her own offspring. After all, only so much to go around."

"So abandon them?"

"We both know you don't have what it takes to protect them from us, nor do you have the time, given your habits. What do you think we'll just let you take a break? Only reason you get away with science is that you need a break and a hobby. Sleeping is a good break, and well fucking alone is a hobby doesn't make. Plus let's be real shall we? They aren't all going to make it in this world under these conditions. Hence, more is better, right? Even you understand that."

"Well..." You cannot help but think of your sister...she would but...if only.

"Lets focus on the important right now. How are we getting out of here alive?" You change the topic.

"Same as last time? I brought enough Chimera that we can bruteforce it," answers Katarina.

"We should take the tunnels. It might be slower but we won't be vulnerable on the surface," points out the wrangler boss.

"And miss a good fight? What is wrong with you people?" Grumbles the Mutant boss having 'borrowed' the cargo container from Katarina and stuffing it with new cargo.

What do

This does make me giggle, even if we have just setup the local area for even more big baddies.

So long cyborg girl, I hope it was worth it.

>>6377624
>Go underground
Hopefully the chimera can fit in tunnels or hold chokepoints behind us.

I mean I think its kinda obvious just how evil karma this character is. Also the profound impact you had on the local mutant population with your uh 'activities'. Let's just say the danger rating is gonna end up increasing by a lot. This is really just typical for the MC at this point. Even the factions you join/ally with are very evil karma factions. The closest to neutral is AWD and um they have major issues given their automata agenda for endless wars. Your actions helped wake up AWD faster for good or ill Especially since they still have operational borgs who haven't completely lost their minds yet.

She and the Chimera had extremely good rolls. The PURGE is gonna be a great time. A real shame about all those things you uh let loose though.

Depends on the Chimera specimen. Some of them are fucking huge and strong. Capable of tossing tanks around. Others can be tiny, the size of vermin. Katarina admitted they aren't in fact viral at all but of fungal origin. So they can grow to be HUGE Albeit this was very rare given their poor life expectancy in a warzone and lack of resources, but there have been...incidents . The current grouping of them is humanoid based. Some pure infested maybe amalagation or their mutant/bioweapon unstable patchwork.

Right now they are at their strongest because Katarina 'planted' them in arguably the best place they can infest. Downside is the nightmarish neighbors and hellish weather. In theory keeping them all contained. In practice...you shall see. This particular strain was Katarina's darling after all. Plus, there is what she planted inside that facility that is spreading the infestation.
