With the Tournament of Power brought to a close, the Seventh Universe has emerged triumphant once more. Led by the Saiyan warriors, the Seventh's victory was secured. And with the wish on the Super Dragon Balls used to restore the other universes that were eliminated and erased, the final hidden trial was passed, and all eight of the universes up for elimination were allowed to remain. Yet, even with this victory, peace doesn't last in the Seventh Universe for long. As old hatreds rise and long-buried grudges resurface, will you have what it takes to keep everything you've worked the last 28 years of your life to build? Or will those who seek your end ultimately triumph? That all depends on you, and your choices.

You the players will (most often) control Karn. A Saiyan man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a mid-tier Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the indisputable winner of the Tournament of Power. Wielder of the Berserker Soul, and the powerful Stand Divine Dragon Force, you're fully equipped to handle any threat that comes your way. But what will you do when the threats aren't always physical, when you can't simply punch all your problems away?

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After a day of revelations, Arctus then telepathically called Karn informing him he'd finally gotten all the data inside the Machine Mutant Dr. Myuu's head. Only to be ambushed by other time travelers, Karn, Future Chaya and Ace battling a Saiyan radiating a dark, sinister power. His aura infected Future Chaya, Ace keeping her occupied as Karn fought the mysterious Cumber. Defeating him, then coming face to face with the leader of that Saiyan, the man Hearts. Who declared his intent to destroy all the gods before leaving. Returning to Future Chaya, sending her and Ace to Towa to discover why the Time Patrol didn't intervene before reaching out to Freeza and Kars. As aspiring deities, Karn felt they should know what is happening as well before focusing on his wife's energy, returning home. And as we rejoin Karn, your Instant Transmission teleport has brought you back home. Finding yourself in your bedroom, your wife sitting on the bed. Her knees pulled up to her chest, chin resting on them as she seems lost in thought.

“Meloka? You okay hun?” you ask, immediately worried for your wife. Having never seen her looking that dejected. “What happened?”

But she doesn't immediately answer, looking up and meeting your gaze. Seeing the conflict in her eyes, the doubt and worry there. And immediately recognize that your wife's not doing great. So you sit down beside her, wrapping your arm around her shoulders. Hugging her to your right side, comforting her.

“I...” she starts, voice trailing off. She then suddenly looks up to you, her expression conflicted. “Karn. What do I... How... If you had to describe me in one word, what would it be?”
“Huh?” you reply, confused. Unsure what she's getting at. “One word? Just one?”
“Yes. If you had to describe me with only a single word, what would it be?” she asks you, expression changing slightly. Looking strangely vulnerable, tinier than usual. As if there's a lot riding on this to her.

Well? How do you answer her?

“Hmmmm. If I had to sum you up with only one word...” you mutter, looking down at your wife in your arms. Many words come to mind, but they're all incomplete. Not encapsulating her in her entirety. Until one comes to the forefront, one that matches perfectly. “Devoted.”
“Huh?” she asks, blinking once as she looks up at you. “Devoted?”
“Devoted.” you reply, nodding. It sounding more and more fitting each time it's said. “Your entire life has been about devotion. You joined up with the fighting because of your devotion to me. Joined my team, had my children, and we even got married. You've been devoted to me for most of your life.”

“Devoted, huh? Devotion.” she says, looking thoughtfully as she looks at you, then down at her hands. “Devotion. I like it.”
“So, what is all this about?” you ask her, tone curious. “What's going on, Mel?”
“I... Talked with Chaya, earlier. About why I've fallen so far behind.” she says, you raising a brow in confusion.

“Fallen behind? What do you mean?” you ask her, looking at your wife in confusion. But her gaze hardens as she looks back to you.
“Against Jiren, I was giving it everything I had. But you were holding back, so we could fight together.” she answers, her tone not exactly accusatory. “Chaya was stronger against him, on Namek Broly's new power was stronger, Caulifla's godly powers have begun to surpass my own now too. Even Chilli, when he became that Death God during the tournament far surpassed me. So, when I talked to Chaya, she said the next step to becoming a stronger deity was becoming a goddess of SOMETHING.”

“And that's why you wanted me to describe you in one word? So you could decide what you wanted to be a goddess of?” you ask her, your wife nodding.
“Yeah. If I figured out what I am, then I can be strong. Strong enough to not be left on the sidelines ever again, and instead out there helping you. Fighting by your side, where I should be.” she replies, the yearning obvious in her voice. “Where I belong.”

How do you reply?
>Tell her you think she'd make a great goddess of devotion, or goddess of whatever she decides she wants to be
>Advise your wife to explore her options before deciding on a singular path, to talk with others. There's always more than one path to power, and before she decides her fate she should know all of her options
>Let Meloka know that, whatever she decides to do to further her power, you'll support her and back her up. And remind her that while she's only used one of her years inside the Time Chamber, you and Chaya have both used up both of yours. That she still has another year of training she could use whenever to grow stronger as well with whoever she chooses to go in with

“Well, following how Chaya got strong is certainly one way to do it. But is it the way you want to go?” you ask, Meloka looking up to you in sudden confusion.
“What do you mean?” she asks, you laying yourself back on the bed. Carrying her back with you.
“Think about it. If you follow Chaya's steps, you might catch her. But while you're playing catch up to the powers she's already unlocked, you'll always be behind.” you reply, feeling your wife's sudden, intense focus. “Before you decide to chase power the same way she did, maybe you should explore your options first.”

“My options?” she asks, brows furrowing. “What do you mean?”
“You could follow Chaya's path. Or, find other paths that are out there.” you tell her gently. “You could combine the power of your god aura with Primal, mixing the two powers like Broly's now done with Primal and the Berserker power. Or, where you and Chaya discovered that power beyond Blue together, you could push it even further beyond to a new level. Like you did before with the Super Saiyan, pushing it to Super Saiyan 3 before anyone else. Maybe find a bluer version of that power, or push it even further past that?”
“Even further...” she mutters, not looking at you but at her hands now.

“Your path to power is your own, Meloka. But before you just pick the first option you find, maybe you should figure out all the different choices you have, then decide?” you say, sliding back along the bed to rest your head on the pillow, flicking the light switch off with a telekinetic nudge. “If you only have one option, is it really a choice?”
“You're right.” she replies, snuggling into your side, laying her head on your chest as she takes a deep breath of you. Sighing out, her body losing the tension from earlier as she relaxed. “Thanks, Karn.”
“Of course. Sleep well hun.” you answer, kissing her softly on the forehead as you begin drifting off to sleep. Your sleep is deep and restful, hours passing unnoticed until you begin to rise from your sleep. Eyes opening, coming back to yourself as you feel your wife resting against you. However, Towa's nowhere to be seen. Only the two of you are in the bed, Towa's side remaining untouched. But before you can think on it further, another thought comes to mind: you have six days. Six days to prepare before your battle with Granolah. Which leaves one question:

As you lay there, the thoughts of Granolah, of the battle ahead fill your mind. So, carefully you slip out of bed, not disturbing your wife's slumber as you head straight to the gravity chamber. The halls of your ship are empty this morning, no one up and moving yet as you reach the door. Entering the chamber, going straight to the machine. Powering it up and cranking the gravity back as high as it will go from down where Caulifla and Lottus had set it the night before. You feel the enhanced weight settlign down on your shoulders as you lay down, hands behind your head as you begin working out. One thousand sit ups, one thousand push ups, and one thousand pull ups on the vertical bar later and your warm up is complete, your body getting a good sweat going before you start moving into more difficult exercises.

And for the next hour you continue pushing yourself further and further, giving it everything you've got. Pushing your body to its limits as you give it your all, then finishing the final set you collapse. Laying flat on your back, gasping for air as your muscles scream from the strain of your workout. You lay for a few minutes, recovering before you finally sit up, then push yourself to your feet. Walking over to the controls, turning the chamber off. The weight fading away, you taking a deep, full breath and sighing out before turning to the door. Opening it, only to see the girl you'd rescued from the Abyss waiting for you.

“Haathe?” you ask, blinking once in surprise. “Is everything okay?”
“My Lord Karn. Thou art needed.” she says, her glowing green eyes worried. “Guardian Raven needs thy aid.”

And without replying your right hand IMMEDIATELY goes to your forehead, reaching out to her energy. Finding her after a few moments deep underneath the surface of New Salda, Haathe reaching out and grabbing your arm right as you teleport. Leaving your ship behind, appearing by the Guardian's ki. Appearing into absolute, complete darkness.

“Raven?” you ask into the void, clenching your fists by your sides and ascending. Emerald light exploding from you as your aura illuminates the darkness around you. And you find the Guardian down on the ground, a ring of emerald runes lighting up in a circle around her as well. “What the hell? What happened?”
“Careful, my lord.” Haathe says as Raven rises and turns, and you IMMEDIATELY see the problem. Raven's been completely overcome with the Berserker Soul as well, eyes blazing with emerald power. “Raven art possessed by thine Berserker Soul's rage.”

“HRRRAAAAA!!” she roars, fists blazing with emerald fire as she rises, swinging her energy-clad fists into the invisible barrier separating you both from her. The cylinder of emerald energy, the magical circle flaring with each strike. “GRRRAAAA!! GYAAAH! HYAAAH!!”

“My lord, you must aid her.” Haathe says, to which you nod. Watching her swing mindlessly against the barrier Haathe created.
“Yeah. I'll do what I can.” you reply, drawing upon the Berserker Soul within you, then reaching out. Feeling that same power coursing through Raven's frame, the Berserker energy Haathe somehow infected Raven with resonating as you power up.

“GRRRRRR! HRRRAAAAAAA!!” Raven bellows as even her magical energy is tainted by the Berserker Soul's power. Drawing her hands back and thrusting both forward, firing a beam of emerald energy into the barrier's shield.
“Raven, that's ENOUGH!” you shout, reaching out to her. Reaching out to the power raging within her, trying to command it as you had before with your daughter. “ENOUGH!”

“GRRRAAAAA! GYAAAAH!” she snarls, then starts swinging her fists again. Your efforts not making an impact. Which only causes you to grit your teeth, focusing harder as your brows furrow.
“Tch! I! SAID! ENOUGH!” you roar, emerald aura blazing higher, fiercer up around you as you focus. Reaching out through the Berserker Soul to the energy raging within Raven. Bringing the full weight of your own soul down upon the Berserk energy within her, her rage like a candle's flame before the raging inferno of the Berserker Soul's full, unrestrained fury. Then, letting the Berserker Soul take control, you jerk your arm back from her in a tearing motion, a stream of emerald energy bleeding out from Raven's eyes towards you hand. The energy swirling as it lands there, forming a small ball of emerald fire in your hand. And as the last of the energy is drawn from Raven, she collapses to her hands and knees with an exhausted-sounding sigh. “Raven, you alright?”

“I am... Okay.” she answers between panting breaths, clearly exhausted. “Sorry for-! Bothering you with this. Haathe and I- We were training.”
“Training?” you ask, still holding that handful of energy, looking back and forth between them. “Training what?”
“The fault is mine, my lord.” Haathe says, kneeling before you. But before she can continue, Raven interrupts. Rising up to her feet, dispelling the magical circle inscribed around her with a wave of her hand and whisper of power. Stepping through, her expression calm and composed.

“Due to your Berserker Soul being what empowers Haathe, her magic carries its essence.” she says, gesturing to the fiery ball held in your hand. “Her magic, when used offensively, can induce the same rage in those her magic is used against as the Berserker Soul itself does upon those of you who wield it. And to those who do not have experience controlling that rage...”
“It takes you over.” you finish for her, Raven nodding. You realizing just how dangerous Haathe's power could be.
“Correct. And while most useful against those who use magic, rendering them unable to cast their spells through the blinding rage, driving foes into a furious rage is quite the ability.” she continues, speaking easily on it. “I had allowed myself to take on more of it than I could control, and it conquered me for a time. Thank you, for taking control of it.”

“Of course.” you reply, turning your gaze to the ball of emerald fire in your hands. The raw essence of the Berserker Soul you'd given Haathe, to replace the Abyssal soul she was born with to save her life and let Aku reach his full power, now feels even more meaningful. Her power is literally YOUR power, she draws her strength from your own energy. And as you turn to her, you then level your hand at her. Returning the power back to her, Haathe reaching up instinctively before even looking up to see what you're doing. Catching that energy and bringing it to her chest, taking a deep breath and sighing out. Rising up to her feet, eyes blazing with emerald energy.
“Thank you, my lord. I couldst not undo mine error alone.” Haathe tells you, her tone remorseful as she bows. “More care shall be taken, so this shan't happen again.”

“Good. I hope it doesn't. But, if it does, just reach out to me and I'll do what I can.” you tell her, then with the immediate issue solved, look around. “So, where are we anyways?”
“Deep in the depths of the M'lurnian Ruins, far below the sea's bottom.” Raven answers. “A place close to the planet's heart, where outside influence is all but impossible.”

And, as if on cue, right as Raven says this:

“Of course.” you say with a sigh, raising your right hand to your forehead. “I'll handle this.”
“Be careful, Karn. The spirits coming to these ruins have been... Stronger, as of late.” your world's Guardian Raven warns you as you focus, finding that unfamiliar ki dozens of yards above the three of you but nowhere near the surface. “Be on guard.”
“Good hunting, my lord.” Haathe says, you nodding to her then teleport away. Appearing in a different section of the ruins further above, appearing behind the familiar blood-red glow of an invading phantom from across time. And you see a familiar skull-armored figure, wielding the familiar sword of the Darkwraiths in its right hand.

“You don't have to die here, you can lea- WOAH!” you say, but IMMEDIATELY the being turns, swinging their sword horizontally at your chest. You're caught off-guard by the explosive speed, the blade flashing and nearly splitting your middle open as you leap back. The tip whistles through the air as you narrowly dodge it, landing on your feet and sliding back to a stop. “Tch!”

But the invader wastes no time, immediately rushing forward. Sprinting at you, closing in and swinging again. The same horizontal left-to-right slash, but this time you're ready. Activating your Energy Body and stepping into the attack, ready to block the hit with your armor and send this bastard flying. Only for your instincts to suddenly scream at you to leap back, once more dodging the blade. Sliding back once again, your back hitting a solid stone wall that stops you. But your assailant doesn't relent, charging forward like someone possessed. Sprinting right for you and trying the same attack for a third time. Dropping your Energy Body, you instead create a Ki Blade, meeting the attack edge-to-edge. Stopping the blade short, and at the point of contact, that's where you see it: flames.

But not the fire you're used to, this flame is dark. Abyssal darkness, shaped like fire. And it begins to cut THROUGH your Ki Blade, the dark energy around that sword a serious threat. One that would have carved straight through your Energy Body as well, just as easily as it's cutting your blade. But, with the attacker's blade occupied you raise your left knee up and front kick the skeletal warrior square in the rib-cage armor, sending them flying back. Launching the assailant a dozen yards back before they crash to the ground, landing in a roll before sliding up to their feet as well. Suddenly holding a wooden staff in their left hand, sword still held in their right as they raise it. There's a surge of magic as suddenly a ball of dark magic is launched at you, the energy the size of the hallway itself. And it's fast, before you can activate your Energy Body again that dark energy slams into you.

>>6377633
The Abyssal magic burns your flesh on contact, searing your soul as you clench your teeth against the agony of the Dark. But you've endured worse, far more debilitating pain in your training sessions with your half-demon daughter Milha's magical agony. Clenching your fists, and with a roar blaze your aura up, firing off an Explosive Wave to repel the Dark.

“HRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, your energy blasting away the Dark magic. And the invader as well, who'd rushed close while you were consumed by that darkness. Your Explosive Wave blasting them back, sending them sliding a half-dozen yards back before stopping. The staff once more gone, instead raising their left hand up, distorting space between you and it. That same Dark Hand technique you've seen before, the one Caulifla explained to you when you'd asked her about that energy. Which leaves one question:

What now? How do you fight this Abyssal threat?
>Rush and attack, take them down before they can use that sword again or fire any more dark magics
>Activate your Energy Body and defend, find your opening to counter attack
>Unleash your ranged attacks, take them down with your ki

“Alright, that's it. I've had enough of you!” you snarl, emerald aura blazing as you dig deep. Feeling your rage swell, your hatred burn as you raise your left hand towards the distorted space where the Darkwraith's energy is shielding it. “Go to hell!”

And with a snarl you unleash your hate, your fury bursting forth as dozens of crackling bolts of lightning. Arcing through the air between you, cutting right through the distortion of its shield and striking the skeletal knight directly. Who screams in pain, you realizing that it's a woman and not a man you're shocking. But that doesn't matter, they came to YOUR home, threatened YOUR people, and you're going to destroy them, whoever they are!

“HRRRAAAAA!!” you roar, pouring even more power into the attack as you step forward. Closing the distance, raising your other hand and unleashing your lightning from both now. The storm of lightning ricocheting off the stone walls, all the bolts finding their way to your target. Whose shield has dropped, body jerking about uncontrollably from the lightning you send coursing through their body. Then, as your fingertips begin to smoke and char, you end the attack with a hiss of pain. Wincing as, once your attack stops you can feel every big of the damage you'd done to your blackened fingertips. “Tssss!”

The Darkwraith collapses like a marionette with its strings cut the instant your attack ends, body smoking as she lay there. Yet, surprisingly, her crimson energy-clad body doesn't dissolve into mist and vanish, like the others have before her. Instead, to your shock, she begins to RISE! Seems this fight isn't over yet.

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying the new episode so far? What do you think about Haathe's magic, and the effects it has on its targets? Are you already devising ways to utilize this power, and how it could be leveraged against threats known and unknown? What path to power do you think Meloka will end up choosing, and do you believe in her that it'll work out in her favor? And with six days until the battle with Granolah, will you be ready? Or will more threats arise that'll make Granolah look like nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum? This and possibly more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues in 12 hours!

>And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying the new episode so far?
We consoled wifey, got to chat with our wards, and are currently smiting an intruder on our planet. What's not to like?
>What do you think about Haathe's magic, and the effects it has on its targets?
I think she'd be absolutely devastating against large groups. She could probably get a whole army to fight each other if she played her cards right. It's like the inverse of Battle Meditation.
>Are you already devising ways to utilize this power, and how it could be leveraged against threats known and unknown?
Beyond making people go ballistic and wearing them out, maybe we can use it to Disable divine opponents? We know our energy can purge Divine Ki like what happened with Doom back in the ToP, so it might be worth trying to refine that sorta thing and make it more efficient.
>What path to power do you think Meloka will end up choosing, and do you believe in her that it'll work out in her favor?
I have no clue, but I do know that she'll make it work. She has to, or at least she feels like she does.
>And with six days until the battle with Granolah, will you be ready?
Always ready.

True enough.
Yes. The patrons already got to see her power against another soecerer in kombat, and how quickly it can turn tides of battle. Her unique approach with the Berserker Soul is quite something.
I won't say it's impossible.
Yes she does. She'll do what it takes to reach your level, and not get left behind again.

“Kuuh! Huff!” the Darkwraith wheezes, forcing herself to her feet as you stand there, shocked. Stunned that she's alive, much less back on her feet. Her sword left on the ground where she'd dropped it the moment your attack stopped, instead conjuring more Dark energy. But this is different, you can SENSE this! Whatever this being's conjuring, it's ALIVE! And you immediately go on the defensive, only for the woman to suddenly crush it in her hand! You immediately feel her power surging, restoring herself to how she was at the start of the battle! Whatever that tiny, dark spirit was, she'd just sacrificed it to fuel her own power, to stay in this fight longer. Whoever this Darkwraith is, she's more a monster than you'd imagined.

“You... You killed it.” you say, the Darkwraith turning its head slightly before grabbing what look like skeletal fists from behind her back, sliding her own hands into the bound bones. Slamming her fists together before sprinting straight at you. Seems she's going to try and fight you hand-to-hand now, ignoring her sword entirely.

But what do you do?
>Rush in and attack, take her down quickly
>Rush in and take that new defensive stance, try and unleash that weaving technique you learned from observing Karn Jr's fight with his friend on her
>Activate your Energy Body and defend, see what she's got and counter her
>This could be a good chance to practice, step forward and unleash the Infinite Arm Fist technique against her. See how long she can withstand that barrage of punches
>Unleash your lightning again, now that her defenses are down see how much more damage the attack does this time

“Oh,you wanna fight, huh? Alright, let's do this!” you say, charging energy into your fists as you weave them into a figure eight before you, leaving afterimages of your arms behind. The foe sprints in, then leaps at you with a flying right side kick. Which you meet with a left jab, stopping her momentum. But as she lands she drops into a right spinning reverse sweep that you lightly hop over. Just lifting your legs over the blow as she spins back up to her feet, then fires a right straight at your guts. Which you block with your left forearm, while the mostly-intangible left you'd fired earlier to stop her flying kick fires again, slamming square into her skeletal helmet. Snapping her head back and following the phantom left up with a right straight again to the head, then a left hook to the body. “Is that all you've got?”

You don't relent in your offense, piling more and more blows on. Each blow landing four consecutive times, quickly multiplying your attacks dozens of times over. For every punch you throw, five more phantom fists strike the Darkwraith. Quickly breaking down her defenses, pummeling her repeatedly. Knocking her back and back until you've pushed her back up against a wall, and begin punching her THROUGH it! The old stone giving way under the force of repeated strikes, the bone of her armor cracking and crumbling. Her helmet shatters, revealing a dark-haired, pale-skinned woman's face beneath with glowing red eyes that match the faintly glowing red aura around her body.

But you don't stop, don't relent, and continue pummeling the would-be invader. Landing hundreds of blows a second until her phantom visage begins to dissolve under the relentless attack, beating her until her entire body dissolves into motes of light, her energy vanishing as if it never were. And just like that, it's over. Leaving you standing there, phantom limbs finishing out their pre-programmed attack patterns as they fade away as well. Leaving you standing there, panting in the dark of the M'lurnian Ruins tunnels. Illuminated only by your emerald aura's glow, the dark surrounding you.

And as you turn from the tunnel you'd begun making with her body, noticing the light of your aura glints off something on the ground. Which is the fighter's abandoned sword, laying there on the ground. Walking over, you reach down, picking the weapon up by its handle. Examining the blade, no hint of the earlier Dark fires that had cut away at your energy left. So, you hold the sword in your hand, testing its weight with a few experimental swings. The blade is heavy, meant for cleaving through flesh and armor, but it feels solid. So, you decide to keep the weapon for now as you decide what to do now.

Well? What do you do?

“Hmmm. Well, I'm already down here. May as well take a look around.” you mutter to yourself, looking up and down the hallway. Finding a side path you hadn't noticed before, while focused on the battle, so you make your way to it. Turning down the path, your aura bathing the stone hall in shades of green as you walk. Footsteps echoing as you walk. These tunnels are deep, deeper than most you've explored so far. Their surfaces worn smooth over countless years, covered in ancient dust untouched for centuries. Each step kicks up a small puff of dust, disturbing these untouched halls. Which is how you know you're somewhere undiscovered, where there could be something special yet-undiscovered.

With that in mind you move carefully, testing each wall with a hand. Rapping your knuckles at regular intervals on the walls, checking to make sure they're all solid. A few crack when you rap your knuckles against them, but none vanish to reveal hidden paths. For nearly ten minutes you wander aimlessly through the tunnel network, until the hallway you're in widens out into a larger room. Where there's a raised dais in the middle, with three steps up the front up to the raised ledge. And a rectangular, metal chest sitting open, a faint white light emanating from within. Curious, you walk over, step up onto the dais and look inside. Only for the chest itself to be empty, save for a small line of glowing text. Something in you tells you to reach down, to touch it. And so you do, reaching in and touching it with your left hand. The sign disappears, vanishing as if it never were.

“Huh. Well, okay then.” you say, turning to leave. Only to see the familiar white fog-like smoke covering the single exit. And then you hear it:

You hear that familiar sound and turn back, and there, behind the chest on the dais, a strange figure emerges. It looks like the M'lurnian you saw in the underwater cave before, but unlike that one, this one's seemingly fully alive and not a walking corpse. It doesn't talk, instead the creature bows at the waist. Then, once it raises up to its full height, the being turns. Walking off the dais to one of the far walls, swinging its phantom fist through the wall. Once, twice, three times before turning back to you. Watching you silently, quietly observing to see what you'll do.

Watching the M'lurnian striking the wall, you realize it wants you to do the same. That it's showing you where to hit to reveal another of those illusory walls. And so you walk over, standing by it and swinging your captured blade through the wall. Which you can feel, the blade slashing through stone. Yet the wall bears no mark, no sign of being struck. So you slash again, and again, and on the third blow the illusion dissipates. Revealing steps that go down to another high arched doorway, filled with that same white smoke.

“Very good!” is called , you turning and seeing the creature picking something up. Dropping it again, and the words “Very good!” are called from the stone once more in that deep, bassy voice. Seems that it can't talk, and uses those phrases to communicate instead. The creature doesn't hesitate after that, walking down the steps to stand before the fog gate. Where it begins materializing equipment, donning a heavy-looking suit of black armor and a black tower shield. Clearly ready for a fight, with whatever lies beyond the door.
“So, we're in for a fight, huh?” you reply, walking up to the fog gate as well. You try and expand your ki sense through the gate, but you can't sense anything beyond. Raven and Haathe are still further down, but whatever's on the other side of this magical gateway, you cannot sense it. “Alright, let's do this.”

You reach up, pressing your hand to it and feel the smoke begin to give. Allowing you to slowly push your way inside, crossing through the threshold. And as you step through, suddenly there's no ground beneath your feet. Falling through a large, circular hole. Down and down through the dark you fall, wondering where it is you're falling to until you begin to see a light at the bottom. The light is faint, but in the absolute darkness of the pit, it looks positively radiant. But as you drift lower, slowing your fall, the phantom knight's fall reaches your own. So you drop down with him, landing not in a chasm of darkness that you'd expected. But in what looks like a sandy, underwater cave illuminated from above with glowing moss. The floor of this cavern sand with a foot or so of water atop it, and another pitch-black armored figure just sitting in the water in the center of the room. Surrounded by statues even more ancient than the M'lurnian ruins above. And, as you look around the room, you also see a body. Wearing long-rusted armor and weapons, the knight phantom you'd summoned's body. Seems he'd died here, fighting the being you're about to challenge. But not before he'd left his sign above, so one could call upon him again, should he fail.

But as you and the M'lurnian knight land in the water with twin splashes, the knight begins to rise. And that's when you realize he wasn't sitting against a chair or pillar, but a SWORD. As he stands, reaching up wit his left over his shoulder, taking the slab of metal in his left and resting it on his shoulder, holding a long, thrusting sword in his right. Immedaitely the phantom by your side begins spreading something along his sword's length, the blade glowing a pale azure hue. As he's doing this, the knight starts walking forward, then with two quick steps close into attacking range. Firing two quick slashes with the smaller, which the M'lurnian knight blocks with the shield, only to swing the massive sword overhead in a smashing blow. One that would no doubt flatten him, so you step in, grabbing your Darkwraith sword's handle in both hands and block the strike.

Or so you try, as the heavy blade slams into your own you immediately realize you can't stop it, so instead deflect the blade away, over your right shoulder to slam into the water. Leaving the knight open, which you capitalize on, delivering a left side kick square to his black armored chest. Sending the knight sliding back as the M'lurnian rushes forward, swinging his own greatsword down in an overhead smash. One that the knight deflects with his own smaller blade, then lands that same two-piece combo. Only this time following up the two slashes with a thrust that lands hard, knocking the M'lurnian back. Launching him a couple yards in the air, landing flat on his back as you rush in over him. Taking your blade in both hands and leaping, aiming for a cleaving slash. Only for the knight to raise that massive sword defensively, actually blocking your strike! Withstanding the force of your blow even as a Berserker God, the impact only breaking his structure and sending him sliding back three or so yards. But he's open, and you don't relent. Dashing in, dodging his sudden thrust with his right handed blade and swinging your blade into his left side.

As you swing, your instincts suddenly tell you to channel your ki through the blade, like you would with your Wolf Knight's sword. So you do, and Abyssal black flames blaze up around the edge as your sword lands with a crunch of metal and hiss of Dark fire against his wet armor. The knight groans at the hit, immediately raising his left sword overhead and dropping the smaller blade. Where the massive blade is suddenly engulfed in dark, sinister fire and smoke before thrusting the massive weapon down. Realizing what's about to happen you IMMEDIATELY leap back, and a wave of that sinister fire and black energy is expelled from the blade in a large blast.

The blast also launches large orbs of smoke and fire out in all directions as well, you side stepping to dodge one aimed at you. And once the blast fades, the M'lurnian knight rushes in, only for your foe to channel more power into that sinister blade, sweeping it from his right to left sides. Unleashing a beam of sinister power, one that batters aside the knight's shield and knocks him over, but doesn't reach you. And instead of focusing him, the knight then leaps high into the air, lifting the blade overhead and swinging it down at you instead in a crushing blow. One that you dodge by spinning aside with your Su Ma, narrowly avoiding the blade and its sinister power as you deliver a slash to his back instead. More black flames light up his back upon the point of impact, the being trying to backhand you with his wide blade. But you block this off-balance strike, and find your opening.

“Finish him off, now!” you shout, dropping your own sword and grab both the knight's wrists. Kicking the back of his knees in with your left heel, you drop him down onto his knees. Wrists bound behind his bowed back, defenseless down on his knees, you have this dual sword-wielding knight pinned. And seeing the opening you've made, the M'lurnian knight doesn't hesitate. Dropping his shield, he takes his sword in both hands, plants his feet and swings. Throwing his entire weight and the weight of his sword behind the blade, his strike landing true. Decapitating the dark armored knight in a single blow, his body unleashing an unearthly howl as he dies. Body going limp in your arms, you releasing his collapsing form. One that dissolves into motes of darkness and fiery light before they all vanish, disappearing into nothing. Leaving behind only his two swords, each thrust point-first down into the sand and a small, floating black flame where he'd been standing. And the phantom M'lurnian, who gives you a salute with his sword before he slowly vanishes as well. His final battle finished, his death avenged. His fight is over.

TAAAARKUS! RIP our guy. These ruins really just go on forever, don't they... Hopefully there's something around here more to the size of a little girl
>>
>>6377978
Rest in peace Sir Mirelurk, you got his ass in the end.
Anyways, that's another three masterwork swords to our name. We should really consider getting some sword racks installed in our quarters. That or figure out some kinda hammerspace scabbard, but who could possibly make something like that I wonder?
Either way, the quest for presents continues!
>>
>>6377980
Wasn't Tarkus, but it does seem everyone who wields that armor meets an unfortunate end.
>Forever
No, there is a limit. Now, whether or not that space is BIGGER on the inside than the outside's a different story entirely.
>>6377984
Yes he did, you helped him finish his quest.
>three
No. The greatsword's as rusted and unusuable as the armor and shield, laying in that water for who knows how long. The skeleton's completely bare, his gear won't be worth anything. The knight you just killed, however...
The quest for presents continues indeed! But before you decide that, there's a dark-stained soul you'll have to decide what to do with first. If you just leave it there, it might take on a life of its own.
>>
>>6377984
Just realized you meant the Darksword, I'm tired. Just finished the 4 hour dnd session with my players I started the moment I published the last post of the session. They met a friendly lich who'll be aiding them as they explore the mines. Or "aiding" them, they'll find out in two weeks.
>>
>>6378061
Ah, I was wondering why sessions usually paused at 4-ish on Sundays. I had always assumed you were getting ready for Sunday dinner or something.
Anyways, about that knight...would his Soapstone have survived?

>If you had to describe me with only a single word, what would it be?
>Fierce
>Devoted

>Wife
>Strong
>Vengeful
>Mother
Other words are nice too. Tough choice. If we went with “Creative” it could probably result in her getting different powers from her own Divinity. Same with other words. I guess each word represents a different set of powers and abilities that she can reach.
>>6377423
>gokublackprimal.png
Looks strong. It’s probably very hard to attain. I don’t think I remember anyone in quest with this power so far. So it’s rare.
>>6377472
>Towa's side remaining untouched.
I guess she found something very important.
>>6377582
>“Due to your Berserker Soul being what empowers Haathe, her magic carries its essence.” she says, gesturing to the fiery ball held in your hand. “Her magic, when used offensively, can induce the same rage in those her magic is used against as the Berserker Soul itself does upon those of you who wield it. And to those who do not have experience controlling that rage...”
>“It takes you over.”
This effect is so good and so strong. I mean on one hand some enemies might become empowered with their own rage but they also become reckless which can cause them to make mistakes.
>>6377679
>What path to power do you think Meloka will end up choosing, and do you believe in her that it'll work out in her favor?
I don’t know. Each of those choices seem interesting in their own way. Not an easy choice.
>And with six days until the battle with Granolah, will you be ready?
I think Karn will be prepared. He is training. Even those underground encounters were like training.
>Or will more threats arise that'll make Granolah look like nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum?
That would be a surprise, but who could it be?
>>
>>6377682
>I think she'd be absolutely devastating against large groups. She could probably get a whole army to fight each other if she played her cards right. It's like the inverse of Battle Meditation.
Even when focused on one target it can be good. Turning a cold and rational opponent into someone overwhelmed with rage might disrupt their judgement.
>>6377976
>channel your ki through the blade, like you would with your Wolf Knight's sword. So you do, and Abyssal black flames blaze up around the edge as your sword
That’s a nice sword.
>>6377978
>And that's it for this week's episode, everyone enjoy the surprise hidden encounter?
It was fun. Knight in the depths was strong. If he appeared on the surface he could be a lethal problem.
>Curious what your rewards will be for finishing this M'lurnian's final quest?
Sure. I’m happy that Karn already found a nice sword that has dark flames. The girl that owned this sword, will she now appear frequently to get it back from Karn?
>What secrets are hidden down in this cavern below, and what this knight was protecting?
I have no clue, but I want to see them.
>And are you ready to try and find your way back out?
This place in interesting. We might find something more if we don’t leave too fast.
>>6377984
>That or figure out some kinda hammerspace scabbard, but who could possibly make something like that I wonder?
If Okira and her Imagine Dragon could make herself a Library in some pocked dimension, can Karn’s Divine Dragon Force use his power to make a some kind of little “pocked space mini Demiplane” where he can put those swords in? So he can reach them anywhere and anytime?
>>

I was more talking about Bulma with the capsule tech, but yeah asking Okira for one too might work.

I apologize. I just noticed what I wrote. This was supposed to be "pocket dimension" and "pocket space".

This is an interesting idea. Maybe Okira can make this for Karn.

Yup, been dming for jarhead's friends, got to make a Scaramouche character sheet for a boss encounter I could share if there's interest.
No, it would have long ago washed away. Unfortunately.

Not entirely wrong. And she may decide a different path for herself, not necessarily the one you spoke of.
Yeah, except for the Rosé part, but could be blue or bluer.
She's, well... You didn't check, so have no idea what she's up to. Or if she's even still on-planet.
Very true. Patrons already know how effective this can be against a certain sorcerer who throws hands with shaolin monks.
True. And Meloka hadn't even realized she had a CHOICE yet. How she chooses could affect the story going forward.
Yes, if he could have escaped. Or if there was a reason he'd simply gone mad as an undead down here.
>interesting
Indeed. You found the ruins older than the M'lurnians. Perhaps you could ask the former Guardian in the holocron about it, when you leave.
I won't say that's impossible, as it's certainly within the realm of what LER's power it now has can do, much less with using its Wish.
>>6378451
You could ask, perhaps asking Marron when she returns?
>>6378485
I think we all knew what you meant anon. My players been keeping up through my errors and understanding what/who I mean even when I type entirely wrong NAMES, much less a wrong letter or two.

Which side would win in a fight?

Every Saiyan in the 7th Universe, or 3 trillion Saibamen?

Fu, quit posting on SpaceChan.
>>
>>6378679
Assuming you'd be able to grow 3 trillion Saibamen and have them ready to go before the earliest crops start dying off, I imagine they'd just swarm the Saiyans and mass detonate.
It's probably look like a really slow needler explosion if they did it to a Great Ape.
>>
>>6378518
>Indeed. You found the ruins older than the M'lurnians. Perhaps you could ask the former Guardian in the holocron about it, when you leave.
Sounds like a good idea.
>I won't say that's impossible, as it's certainly within the realm of what LER's power it now has can do, much less with using its Wish.
That is very nice if it can be done with Divine Dragon Force’s powers of Lyin Eyes Requiem.

When Okira uses her Imagine Dragon’s power she needs to think how to precisely phrase it so the effect is right.
Does Karn needs to do that too? Or can he tell what he needs to the Divine Dragon Force and dragon will instinctively know what to say in order make it happen correctly without some unforeseen consequences?
>>6378776
>Fu, quit posting on SpaceChan.
Fu just revealed what he prepared for next encounter.
>>6378679
>Which side would win in a fight?
>Every Saiyan in the 7th Universe, or 3 trillion Saibamen?
I’m betting my money on just 1 Karn vs 3 trillion Saibamen. This gif is from start of Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan. Broly destroys there the Southern Galaxy. If he could do it alone. I think Karn can deal with swarm of Saibamen.
>>
>>6378679
As things currently stand? The Saiyans. That's a LOT of Saibamen, but the power gap's just too big now. As we saw with Nappa vs Chiaotzu, or Prince Vegeta vs 6 Saibamen in the bardock special, if the power gap's too big it doesn't matter how many there are. Karn's family alone could take that many.
>>6378776
Ha!
>>6378839
True, but unless they get a MASSIVE buff in power, beings in the sub-2k range just lack the power to hurt beings in the MINIMUM 20k range.
>>6378920
He would probably be the best to ask. New Salda could be talked to, but mortal empires are short-lived things.
A very good question, one you don't yet know IC.
The hardest part for the Saiyans is watching out for collateral damage.

Is there a high chance that Shadow Dragons will appear? I think Dragon Balls in our timeline were used less than in canon story, so that would lower the probability of Shadow Dragons appearing soon. Unless maybe someone from alternate timeline shows up just to abuse Dragon Balls and cause Shadow Dragons’ emergence.

Dragon Ball GT showed Earth’s Shadow Dragons, but what would they be like if they originated from Namek’s Dragon Balls or Cerealian Dragon Balls or other sets.
>>6377679
>And with six days until the battle with Granolah, will you be ready? Or will more threats arise that'll make Granolah look like nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum?
I hope the Henshin Breaker team will not show up to disrupt this fight.

I wonder if Henshin Breaker can reverse even such very rare transformations like Ultra Instinct, Supreme Instinct or Chaya’s Afterglow.
>>6378925
>True, but unless they get a MASSIVE buff in power, beings in the sub-2k range just lack the power to hurt beings in the MINIMUM 20k range.
Fu is probably taking notes. Next time he shows up it will be with enhanced Saibamen.
>>
>>6379324
Well, you need a Bulma's worth of wishes over the past few decades to get Shadow Dragons, and considering how Earth's guardian ended up dying & the only people who have reliable access to Namek dragonballs being much more careful than the canon Z-Fighters, it's unlikely any wishes will be abused for that long. Could always hop into another timeline to beat up Omega Shenron though or have him as an enemy time traveler.

Definitely think Namekian Shadow Dragons would be in another league if they ever got abused for that long. Porunga is pretty powerful.
>>
>>6379324
>Shadow Dragons
Depends on how many wishes King Cold has been making on his and his sons' behalf.
They do have some designs of all time. Eis and Nova being twins, Syn, even Haze and Oceanus are distinct. And not to mention Syn/Omega. But if I have Shadow Dragons, they'll be distinct.
>my artists faces when hearing about designing seven unique shadow dragons
If they show up, would be unfortunate. If they can actually STOP you. Freeza LET himself stand still and get hit by it.
And a very good question, right now it's unknown.
Ha. No, he has his minions.

Shadow Dragons could be augmented once more by some Time Travelers. Hearts helped to make Baby from our timeline much stronger that he would be without his interference.

He walks in second form that is very huge all the time. What if he wished to be taller his first and fourth form?

He could wish for an ability similar to what 「Lyin’ Eyes」 used to give to the Truth. To be able to tell if somebody is lying.

>He could wish for an ability similar to what 「Lyin’ Eyes」 used to give to the Truth. To be able to tell if somebody is lying.
I'm sure he has a number of experts, chemicals, and enchanted items at his disposal that would accomplish the same thing. Not to mention that what's "true" is still up to the subject that's being coerced. He'd get more use out of wishing for a pet Oracle Fish or wishing for his own clairvoyance via meditation to be perfectly accurate.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 257 Intermission-

AGE 780, UNIVERSE 11'S PLANET NETFISS

“So, Jiren. It seems we've been restored.” Toppo, your ally says as he walks up on your right side. “Seems that the Seventh Universe used their wish on the Super Dragon Balls to revive us.”
“Hmph. No. Not just us.” you say, remembering back to the face of the warriors you'd battled. The woman who channeled the hopes of her entire universe, her father who tapped into a power you'd never seen before to match your full might. You remember the looks in their eyes, how despite what you'd been told of them, knew they aren't malicious, evil beings who needed to be stopped. “They used that wish to revive every universe Grand Zen-Oh erased in the tournament.”

“Every universe...” Toppo, leader of the Pride Troopers and God of Destruction in training says, tone awed by your words. But as you say them, you know they're true. Remembering back to just before you'd been erased, meeting the powerful Karn's gaze, you just know deep-down he was the winner. Or perhaps not the only winner, as the Seventh could do what you could not: fight as a team.

You are Jiren: Universe 11's strongest fighter, a mortal who surpassed your universe's own God of Destruction, Belmond, in power. Who, right up until this tournament, thought yourself unstoppable. That you had attained the heights of strength no others could surpass. But the Tournament of Power showed you how wrong your thinking was. As you watched, time and time again, how Karn's strength wasn't only in himself. But how, with only his words, could empower his allies to greater heights. When you'd had the other warrior, Chaya, exhausted and unable to continue the battle, standing on the very edge of the stage, a few words from Karn reignited her spirit, pushed her past her limits right in front of you. Drew out power neither of you knew she had. And when you were fighting his woman, the killer Meloka, the moment he told her he believed in her, you watched as her power soared over his own as well. Almost as if him simply believing in someone could make them stronger. A type of strength you'd only ever seen once before. The strength you sought to obtain from the wish-granting orbs, the strength beyond strength that your late master could wield. But then a noise breaks you out of your thoughts, turning back to Toppo as he clenches his fist.

“Then we are in their debt. But next time!” he declares, clenching his massive, oversized fist as he turns to face you fully, determination blazing in his yellow eyes.”Next time we meet them, we won't lose again!”
“Ah-” you exhale, stunned by Toppo's declaration momentarily. But then you nod, ever-so-slightly, then clench your own fist. “Right.”

“Next time I'll win!.” you think to yourself, turning from Toppo and looking up into the sky, as the golden light from the wish-granting dragon splitting the clouds and bathing the city in golden light. “Karn. Chaya. Next time we meet, I will definitely win!”
“There he is. The Jiren we all know.” Toppo says, you turning to him wide-eyed. Seeing his smirk, visible even beneath his mustache. But before either of you can say anything more, Kahseral suddenly speaks up.

“Toppo, Jiren, we've got trouble.” he says, Toppo nodding to him before turning to you.
“Ready to get back to work, Jiren?” he asks, to which you nod. Toppo then turns back, addressing Kahseral. “What's the situation, General Kahseral?”

-One Week Later-

After saving your universe from far less threatening threats, but problems no less important to the people they affected, you had returned to your own training. Focusing on your own power, on furthering your own strength to battle the Saiyans from the Seventh Universe once more. However, as you meditate, focusing on aligning your spirit and body, suddenly you sense another being suddenly just... Appear.

“Well well, I must say, you're even more impressive in person. Jiren.” a man's voice says, you opening your eyes. Only to see a Kai, or someone who looks like one. Wearing glasses and casual clothes, your eyes narrowing as you immediately sense something... Off with him. His energy feels WRONG, darker and far more sinister than any Kai you've encountered before. No, his energy feels much too dark to be a Kai. More like an evil Kai, or something far worse.
“Who are you?” you ask, not rising out of your meditative pose. Eyes meeting him squarely, brow slightly furrowed. “And why are you here?”
“That's simple, Jiren.” the figure says, floating before you. Sitting in the air, hands going to his ankles, holding them in a stance of faux-harmlessness. “I want to see you fight again. And I have just the foe in mind for you to face. Another Saiyan, one of Karn's great ancestors.”

“What?” you say, genuinely surprised. “That's not possible. Meddling in time is-”
“Wrong, I know, I know. But I wasn't the one who brought him to your universe.” the man says, grinning. “The Evil Saiyan, Cumber, is already here. And you'd better hurry, Toppo's not going to hold out much long-”

But whatever else he was going to say, you don't stick around to hear it. IMMEDIATELY kicking off, blasting off across the universe towards your ally. Crossing galaxies in moments, traveling between the stars until you can sense his energy. And a dark, sinister power dwarfing his own as you close in. Flying through the void, slowing as you approach the planet to avoid damaging it, you dash down through the atmosphere. Landing by the sinister power, beside your ally.

“J-Jiren! I knew you'd come.” Toppo says, then collapses with a heavy sigh.
“Leave the rest to me.” you tell Toppo, then turn your focus on the dark-aura'd Saiyan. Now THIS fighter, Cumber as the strange being had called him, THIS is the evil warrior you'd been told the Seventh Universe Saiyans were. “I'll handle this.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR9HzKnlt5c

“Bring it on, Universe 11!” the Saiyan snarls, energy blazing as he then conjures a pair of hands from his sinister energy, launching them towards you. But you don't hesitate, firing a left jab and right straight, the energy from your punches firing like a beam. Slamming into the energy constructs and obliterating them, only for Cumber to leap through the ensuing smoke cloud like a man possessed.
“GRRRYAAAAAA!!” he roars, eyes wide with a lust for battle as he charges in. Swinging with a heavy, familiar right, then a left. Both of which you weave, floating backwards and letting him press his attack. Studying his moves and power, deciding how much force you need to use. You may not be under the Tournament of Power's no-kill rule, but that doesn't mean you're not under your own moral code. “HRRRYAAAAA! HAAA! GRRRAAAA!!”

Ducking his left turning kick then left hook, you have his timing and pace down. Then raising your right forearm, block his right turning kick with ease then duck under the follow-up right hook. He's strong, and quick. But not on the same level as Karn's final form, or even Chaya's. You can see how Toppo wouldn't have the power to stop him, but that doesn't mean he can beat you.

You block or weave a half-dozen other strikes until he kicks again with his left, you raising your right forearm and blocking the kick with ease. Then, before he can reset his guard you strike. Stepping in and firing a left hook to his masked jaw that snaps the Saiyan's head to the side, his sinister aura fading just from the force of your blow. Yet, to your surprise, he doesn't get sent flying back. Instead, he plants his back foot then comes in with a right hook. One that you block, then counter with your own right. Only for Cumber to raise his left, blocking the body shot you went for with his left forearm.

“GRRRRR! Tch! HRRRYAAAAA!” he snarls, going for a right elbow as you aim a right turning kick at his head. Catching his right elbow with your left palm as he blocks your kick again with his left forearm. “HAAAAAAA!!”

The two of you continue trading blows, yet despite his snarls of rage and fury, he doesn't change colors. Perhaps the color-changing transformations of Saiyans is a more recent development to their kind?

“Tchyaaaaa!” he snarls as the two of you both fire lefts simultaneously. Catching one another's fists in your right hands, matching power evenly. As at this level, you're unable to overpower him and he's not budging you. “Seems we're evenly matched. But you can't beat me! HRRYAAAAAAAAAAHH!!”

He roars right in your face, that sinister aura blazing up around him once more as his strength suddenly spikes. You raise your own power to match, not making a big, flashy show of letting your aura blaze, but meeting his strength as it rises hundreds of times over in seconds. Hair flashing from black to gold beneath his dark, violent red aura as he changes. His eyebrows vanish, pupils and irises vanishing from his eyes as he snarls and rages. Powering up higher and higher, all while leaving himself completely vulnerable. Which you take advantage of, twisting his arms and pulling him into a left turning kick to the sternum, knocking him back.

“Kuuuh! HAAAA!” he snarls then shouts, firing a few dark energy blasts towards you. Which you block, then leap out of the smoke back at him. This fighter, sure he's strong. But he's no Chaya, no Karn. He's all power and rage, no technique or skill behind his blows. And no conviction. You're going to end this, quick.

So that's the trick, you have to be bald to resist the evil Saiyan energy corruption. It's so obvious. Good thing Towa tells Karn to shave or we'd have been done for!
>>
>>6379763
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Cumber lacks formal training. I wonder if anybody could get him to settle down long enough to listen in the first place.
Anyways, I'm glad to see Jiren isn't sitting on his ass. That said, I am surprised he doesn't seem to actually know what Divine Ki is or how it works. I guess Belmod and Khai made it a point not to tell him about something that would make him damn near unstoppable.
>>
>>6379778
HA!
>>6379796
He's all primal fury and raw aggression. Potentially, but it would take a LOT of work to overcome his lifetime of fighting his way.
He understands that gods are different, but divine energy isn't something he can use himself. His power's 100% mortal.
>>
>>6379816
>Potentially, but it would take a LOT of work to overcome his lifetime of fighting his way.
I supposed he must be pretty proud of how far his natural talents have taken him. That would be the first thing to dismantle if somebody wanted to build him up into a properly trained combatant I guess.
>but divine energy isn't something he can use himself.
Something he can't use YET. He's the known champion of his Universe, right? Dude's got all the pieces he needs to become the God of whatever he felt like if you ask me.
>>
>>6379762
>IMMEDIATELY kicking off, blasting off across the universe towards your ally. Crossing galaxies in moments, traveling between the stars until you can sense his energy
holy shit that's fast as hell. Could WE do that in Supreme Instinct? Discounting the vacuum of space and all that jazz?
>>6379816
>but divine energy isn't something he can use himself. His power's 100% mortal.
Like, biologically speaking or would cultivating God Ki be at odds with his own training/character? Like, in order to make the most of that stuff in this quest's continuity you have to represent a divine domain and whatnot, right?
>>
24 hours to go!

>>6379819
True, but it's more a lifetime of ingrained movements. He fought in the old Saiyan way through a lifetime of war.
He has the potential to be. But so far has eschewed all attachments, relying solely on his own power.
>>6379923
Yes, but Instant Transmission is simply faster. Remember how long it took Freeza and Ubo back in the Siege?
Correct. He COULD embody the hope of the 11th in his Superman-inspired way. But actively chooses to be solely himself with no outside interference.
>>
>>6379955
>Yes, but Instant Transmission is simply faster
one of the greatest technique investments of our career. Why did none of Goku's friends ask him for that technique too?
>But so far has eschewed all attachments, relying solely on his own power.
Yeah, that'd explain it. That dimension of power takes more than raw strength to master, let alone comprehend.
>>
>>6379759
>You remember the looks in their eyes, how despite what you'd been told of them, knew they aren't malicious, evil beings who needed to be stopped
Jiren the wise.
>Meloka, the moment he told her he believed in her, you watched as her power soared over his own as well. Almost as if him simply believing in someone could make them stronger.
That’s something impressive indeed.
>>6379762
>“The Evil Saiyan, Cumber, is already here. And you'd better hurry, Toppo's not going to hold out much long-”
Ancient Saiyan is already healed after encounter with Kan. Interesting.
I also wonder is Hearts doing it really only to watch Cumber fight Jiren. Fight just for the purpose of fight or maybe there is more to it.
>“GRRRYAAAAAA!!” he roars, eyes wide with a lust for battle as he charges in.
Cumber kind of reminds me of Berserker Soul if it incarnated in the flesh. There is something very alike between them.
That was fun epilogue. It’s interesting to see clash of fighters so different in approach to the battle. You could almost say Jiren is opposite of Cumber.

Needless to say, no continuation of the episode this weekend. As I'm clearly going to be busy. Not even kidding, ALSO had a speed sensor go out this very morning, took the sensor off my first trans still at the shop and swapped them. And now this bullshit.

>>
>>6379962
Good question. But has goku EVER, aside from presumably Gohan in the time chamber, ever taught anyone any technique?
Yes. But Jiren's mastery of self has come at a more personal cost, not having friendships of any manner of close relationship. Which are, inversely, one of Karn's strengths and Chaya's SOURCE of strength.
>>6380068
He's very perceptive.
Jiren remembers the feeling, when his master and fellow students believed in him. But after they were destroyed, he's convinced himself that wasn't "real" power.
This is a week later, the same day Karn'll probably be confronting Granolah. But also the same time, as Universe 11's decades in the future thanks to the relative time being shifted. Remember, the other universes are in Age 780, while U7 is in 759 still.
Good question. Hearts wasn't in this intermission.
>almost say Jiren is opposite of Cumber.
No almost about it. Their only similarity is strength.

>Everything was fine until they turned the hadron collider on again
I would ask them to cycle power to the main board, but I feel like every time they fire that thing up we risk a resonance cascade or something.
>>
Got my car back to the shop, found the parts(going to go ahead and fix both sides, if one went the other's not long behind) and going to get it fixed Monday. What a day. Also, the patreon poll ends in 21 hours, so if you want to have your vote counted time's almost up.

>>6380157
Every time it's fired up things just get worse. They need to unmake that thing already.
>>
>>6380104
>Well, they are time travelers. So. kek
Yes indeed. I find it quite mind blowing that you can fight Cumber on Monday, defeat him.
Then on Tuesday he shows up again, says “Fight me”. Karn had 24 hours since last encounter and ancient Saiyan is after 2 months of recovery plus 6 months of intense training to defeat Karn. Let’s just say that Karn manages to win this. On Wednesday Cumber is back, “Fight me”. This time he is after a year of training. It’s really crazy situation when one is facing time travelers.

Very impressive. That much of a difference on an universal scale really shows someone had to put a lot of power into making this happen. I’m confused who is exactly behind this one? Was it former Supreme Kai of Time to make things harder for Karn because she did not like him or was it Mechikabura to make things harder for Karn so he can grow from the challenge?

>Who knows who the culprit'll end up being.
Maybe it could be Grand Priest. He accelerated time flow in universes other than seventh because he foreseen Tournament of Power long time ago and also because fighters from those other universes would be stronger and present greater challenge for Zeno’s favorite warrior Chaya. This would result in the whole event being more entertaining for Omni-King. I can’t prove it.

I was thinking about Divine Dragon Force and it's new power of Lyin' Eyes Requiem. Can it be used for healing?
Like for example:
>Goar breaks his arm. "Oh no. My arm is broken."
>Divine Dragon Force says "NO! Your arm is actually healthy and not broken!" and the strange power does it's thing. And suddenly Goar's arm is as good as new.
Can it work like this?

>But why would he? That would require him to actually DO something.
True. He does not have to do it. Though Zeno being happy seems important for him, because of that I thought that perhaps he would be willing to do on his own more than a required minimum. Which would mean in this case making sure that warriors that will challenge Universe 7 will be strong enough to provide an engaging show for Zeno.
>Potentially, nothing you know says it cannot be used that way yet.
If this works it will be great. In case there would be a situation where medical help could save a life, Karn will be able to help too. Even if it was Caulifa, he could help her too.

By the way, remember that refiling bottle filled with healing divine, miraculous liquid that Caulifa brought back from her time travels, and Okira made it so that it is endless, like a self-refilling cup?
Who has it now?
Last people in Hyperbolic Time Chamber were Cooler and Ginyu. Do they still have it?
>>6382624
>For real this time! Hopefully.
Indeed. It’s happening. This time for sure.
>>
Soon!

>>6382901
True enough. But is time HIS domain, or did he simply not stop whoever did change it, because he knew it would make a better tournament? Even if that may or may not have been the one who changed it's original intent.
I think you mean ESPECIALLY if it's Caulifla.
Chaya has it currently, Cooler and Ginyu had Ginyu's healing powers.

It's definitely happening, battle station's powered up and ready to roll.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Having talked with Meloka and helping her realize how to approach her search for her path to power and a good night's sleep, Karn woke early and got a good workout in only to be met with Haathe after finishing. Helping her aid Raven, who'd been corrupted by the Berserker Soul's rage from Haathe's magic. Then defeating an invading phantom, Karn then explored the ruins for a present for his granddaughter, only to find an old spirit and aid it in its final battle that had claimed its life. Defeating the dark knight, the phantom faded, its purpose complete, and as we rejoin Karn you're the only one left standing in the cavern.

Water dripping in slowly from the ceiling, water that will one day fill this cavern completely as you look around. Broken statues of a civilization from long before the M'lurnian one above fill the area around the walls, the ground sandy beneath the gentle lapping of the water. But as the water moves back and forth you turn, and realize that, at one end of the oval-shaped cavern there's a tunnel. Perhaps leading to further depths, more ruins of this pre-M'lurnian civilization. However, before that, you have what's left of that knight you helped the M'lurnian knight kill to decide what to do with. And turning back from the cave entrance far away, you see both swords left point-down in the sand where the knight had dropped them, and a small stone doorway you hadn't knoticed. While your Darkwraith sword is resting flat in the sand, which is currently fully beneath the water level. With a thought and flicker of effort telekinesis it up to your left hand, letting your tail wrap it to your side as you then focus on the dark soul floating in the air before you. The flame of its soul is entirely Dark, long ago fully corrupted by the taint of the Dark. Which leaves you one question:

What do you do with this dark-stained soul?
>Reach out and take it, try and store it within you like you did with the Soul of Manus before
>Take the soul and consume it, feed its dark flame to the Berserker Soul
>Telepathically call Raven to you, see if she can store it or take it away without destroying it or letting anyone else get taken by its power
>Meloka was looking for more power, call her down telepathically and see if she can feed it to her divine soul, if the Super Saiyan God power can devour it for power the same way your Berserker Soul can
>Reach out telepathically to Aku, let him know what you found and ask him what you should do with it

You stare out at the floating soul flame, the blackened soul flickering and radiating with Dark energy. But at its core you can still see the light still flickering faintly within all its darkness. And so you decide to take this soul of power for yourself, slowly stepping towards it. Approaching the soul cautiously, memories of what happened with that Manus soul flooding back into your mind. Reaching out with your right hand without hesitation once you're within reach you take it, holding the darker soul in your hand. But as you hold it, the Dark doesn't feel... Hungry. It simply feels more... Tired. As if the soul can finally rest, no longer inhabiting the body of that knight. And so you take it and press it to your chest, absorbing it within you. Not to feed its power to the Berserker Soul, not yet. But to have that soul within you, should the need for it arise. And you can feel it as the dark flame settles deep into your chest, like a shard of ice in your chest. But after a few moments the uncomfortable feeling fades, leaving you alone in this room to explore. First, you walk over to your claimed Darksword, picking it up out of the water. Then you go over to the M'lurnian knight's long-dead corpse, kneeling down beside it as its own white soul hovers above the body.

“Your fight's over. Rest now.” you say to the body, armor long rusted beyond salvage, their sword and shield brittle remnants of the power that warrior once wielded. But as you do, you then take that soul as well, storing it within you too before rising up to your feet. Glancing between the exit out to deeper waters, then to the dark doorway, and finally back to the other swords sitting there in the sand. And after a moment's consideration, deciding what to do next your wife reaches out telepathically to you.
“Karn? Everything okay?” your wife asks you, to which you tell her you're fine. And tell her everything that happened, Meloka appearing as you explain the fight. Looking around the room appraisingly, eyes stopping on the sword in your off hand, and the two sticking out of the ground. “Hold on. This... Doesn't look like the M'lurnian Ruins.”

“Yeah. Fell down here from up there.” you reply, pointing up to the hole in the cavern roof that stretches far up into the older, but not as old as these ruins. “Want to have a look around?”
“Something feels... Wrong.” she says, hands going to her biceps and rubbing them, shivering. “Do you feel cold?”
“No?” you reply, curious. Looking from her to the massive blade, remembering the heat from its darkened flames. “But maybe that's because I was the one fighting?”

“Maybe...” she replies, voice trailing off as her eyes are drawn to the doorway, the massive sword sticking out of the ground between her and it. “I... I think we should leave.”

“If you want to head out, go ahead hun. I'm just gonna explore a bit first.” you tell her, then walk over to the smaller of the two swords, handing both over to her. “Mind taking these up with you? I'll keep this one for now.”

You then walk back over to the larger blade, pulling it free with a grunt. It's heavy, far heaver than even you thought. But it's nothing you can't handle, resting the massive slab of sword on your right shoulder as you turn back to her with a smile.

“I'll be back up soon.” you say, to which your wife looks like she wants to argue a moment, But, instead she sighs and nods, then in a blink vanishes. Leaving you once more alone down in the hidden ruins. Carrying the massive blade towards the doorway you let your aura flare up slightly, illuminating the darkness beyond. And, to your surprise, is a stone stairway that leads even deeper down. Which causes you to mutter to yourself as you peer down into the depths. “How much further down does this go?”

But you don't hesitate, stepping into the straight stairwell, walking down deeper and deeper into these unknown ruins. Sand from above cover the stairs for a dozen or so steps, the volume slowly fading to nothing as you go deeper and deeper. The temperature inside the tunnel gets hotter and hotter as you descend, as you descend lower and lower into the planet, a bright, glowing light at the end of the tunnel below. And as you emerge out of the stairwell, you find yourself in unfamiliar ruins that have been slowly sinking into the molten heat of your planet. The architecture is completely unfamiliar, foreign, yet something about the distant buildings feels almost... Comforting, in a way. As if part of you's been waiting to come here for quite some time. Only for the lava before you to suddenly tremble, and from its depths a familiar figure suddenly emerges, towering over you.

MY CHAMPION. WHAT BRINGS YOU TO THIS PLACE?” New Salda's avatar asks, its voice booming in the cavern. “WHY-? HOW ARE YOU HERE?”

Well? Do you answer your planet?

“I was exploring the M'lurnian ruins, when I found a hidden area. It dropped me down into a cave, where an armored knight wielded this sword.” you answer, holding out the massive slab of a weapon, then gesture with your free hand back up the way you came. “I bested him with the help of a restless spirit, then followed this tunnel down.”

But New Salda's avatar doesn't reply for a moment, the minutes slowly ticking by until it finally speaks.

YOU LAID HIS SOUL TO REST? THANK YOU, MY CHAMPION.” New Salda finally says, your own eyes blinking once in surprise. Not expecting to be thanked for your action, genuinely surprised by the Guardian's words. “THAT WAS MY PREVIOUS CHAMPION. HIS MIND AND BODY TWISTED BY THE DARK, YET LOYAL TO THE END. EVEN DRIVEN MAD, HE WOULD NOT LEAVE HIS POST PROTECTING THIS PLACE.”
“And what is this place?” you ask the planet's consciousness, looking around. “These ruins are far too ancient to be the M'lurnians.”
YOU ARE CORRECT. THESE ARE THE RUINS OF THE FIRST.” New Salda says, then explains. The First were the first sentient life on this world made by the second Grand Supreme Kai. A race of horned beings who once lived on the surface, who New Salda's humanoid appearance was shaped after. Ruling the planet for millions of years with their magic and power, until a portal to the Abyss was opened. Infecting them, turning them against one another.

“This portal to the Abyss, where is it?” you ask, realizing just how far back the Dark's taint on this planet goes. “If it's still open, it needs to be closed an-”
THAT PORTAL IS NO MORE. I DESTROYED IT MYSELF.” New Salda declares, leaving you blinking in surprise. And, as if seeing your shock and confusion, the planet elaborates. “COME. I SHALL SHOW YOU.”

Your planet's avatar scoops you up into her giant hand, you tapping into your Champion powers first, then as your strength soars then condense it into your Energy Body. Shielding you from the worst of the heat as New Salda's avatar dips back down below the surface of the lava, down and down then rising, emerging into some sort of hidden chamber. Where you see the familiar structure of one of the same Abyss portals from the M'lurnian ruins above!

However, this one was at one point in the past covered in molten rock, which had hardened into a seal over the portal itself. But just because it's been covered doesn't mean it has been closed, and you can feel it. This portal's still open, underneath all that now-hardened igneous rock. And, even worse, you can see the Dark beginning to taint and infect the very rock itself. The infecting Dark spread nearly halfway to the lava where New Salda's avatar is standing before it.

“This isn't good. The Dark is spreading even here.” you say, almost to yourself as you observe the portal. This one, unlike those in the M'lurnian Ruins above is massive. Were it uncovered, New Salda's avatar itself could probably fit through that massive circular portal. But that leaves a question you don't like considering, why is it so massive? What were they trying to let through? And, perhaps more urgently:

What now?
>Ask New Salda when's the last time it checked on this portal, then telepathically call Raven. Explain everything, and ask her to help you come and seal this Dark portal
>Tell New Salda to stand guard, you're going to smash your way inside, then find who or whatever's on the other side opening these portals and put and end to them here and now
>Use this opportunity to test out the strength of this new blade, use it to smash the volcanic rocks away from the portal, then try and shut it yourself
>Telepathically call out to Aku, let him know what you found and ask if he's available to help you deal with this situation

“Stand guard for me, New Salda. I'm going to smash my way through and go inside that portal.” you tell the planet, whose surprise is palpable in the air. “Whatever's trying to get through, I'm going to find them and put and end to them. Stop them from spreading that Abyss here.”
I UNDERSTAND. GOOD HUNTING, MY CHAMPION.” New Salda says as you step down onto the stone floor, taking the massive weapon in both hands. Swinging it down, shattering the igneous rock. Using the wide blade's edge to crack and shatter the stone, then the flat of the blade like a pry bar to break the rock free of the ground. Clearing enough of the rocky seal away to bare the Abyss, then reaching down. Touching the pulsing darkness as it begins to pull you down into the Dark. You descend down into the newly-exposed Abyss, the last thing you see before the Dark consumes you is your world's avatar, its body language looking almost nervous.

The moment this Abyss swallows you, your connection to New Salda vanishes. Leaving your world behind, entering the Abyss proper. All light beyond your aura vanishes completely, leaving you suspended, floating in absolute Darkness. You allow yourself to drift down through the thicker-than-air dark, until your feet land atop something solid. Still holding the massive blade in both hands, your eyes scanning the ground to see where you can step, you begin traversing this dark void. Getting to see only a foot or so out from yourself the entire time, the Darkness all-consuming. Yet, you can feel you're not alone. You can feel other... THINGS here in the Dark with you. None very powerful, at least nothing you can sense yet. But you're sure there are other beings here. Other entities that are hiding themselves in the Dark, waiting to show themselves. But then you begin hearing something, the clank of heavy metal on stone. You expand your senses towards the noise, but don't sense anything substantial.

Only for a large, heavily armored-looking figure to suddenly appear, swinging a large, heavy two-handed mace down at your head. Which you intercept with your massive sword, weapons clashing in a shower of sparks. Immediately you follow up with a left side kick to the chest, knocking the warrior onto its back. Where it rolls around, trying to get off the domed back armor and its limbs back underneath it. But you don't give it the chance, raising the blade high and slamming it down, crunching the armor. Which caves under the blow, revealing that there isn't actually a BODY inside the armor at all. Instead, what looks like one of those black soul like things the invader crushed in her hand drifts up and out, floating away from you back into the darkness.

>Focus your ki sense, find the strongest energy signature you can sense and teleport to it ready to battle

You watch the tiny, almost powerless soul as it drifts away. And somewhere deep, you feel compelled to follow it. And so you do, walking along behind the faintly-glowing spirit as it leads you into the Abyss. Your steps muffled on the ancient stone, your senses on high alert as you follow the tiny being. Minutes pass in near total-silence otherwise, the only sounds you hear are those of your own muffled steps.

“It's quiet.” you say, just to hear something, but it sounds... Wrong. Your voice comes out distorted in the heavy Dark, muffled and barely audible to your own ears. But the small spirit hears it, stopping and turning around. You stop as it stops, the being turning around a full three hundred sixty degrees before continuing the path it was on before. And so you continue to follow it, more quietly now as the Dark presses in all around you. Even your aura's glow seemingly begins to fade, swallowed by the Dark until you can barely even see yourself anymore. But you can feel it, SOMETHING is aware you're down here. And it isn't friendly, which you discover as one of the powerlevels hiding appears.

Stepping out from around what seems to be a corner up ahead appears a strangely-shaped phantom. Unlike the red ones that invade above, this one's covered in an Abyssal black aura, making it nearly invisible. And it's head it a large oval atop a spindly neck, wielding a blackened flame in its left hand. And something covered in large spikes in its right, which you discover is a whip as it tries to whip you. But you block the lacerating whip with the giant sword, then step in and thrust the blade at his chest. The large, broad, curved tip slams into his chest, sending the being flying back. And over some sort of edge, disappearing from your view.

But that doesn't mean they're done, as suddenly a MASSIVE ball of fire is launched from over that edge out towards you. Thinking fast you jab the tip of the broad sword into the watery ground, slinging it up into the fire. The dark water and ground absorb the fire completely, it vanishing as if it never were. And the being who threw it falls for several seconds, then their ki signature vanishes entirely as well. And the spirit you're following keeps drifting along, unphased by you killing that being. So you keep following it, deeper and deeper into the Dark.

You travel deeper and deeper into the Abyss, traveling for what feels like an hour in the oppressive silence but is probably no more than five, maybe ten minutes before the sprite comes to what looks like a large arched doorway, made of carved stone instead of the natural chasm you've been exploring so far. The stones themselves are even darker than the cavern walls, which immediately put you on edge. But you still follow the spirit, walking through the doorway. Where, as you approach, find a massive bowl-like thing sitting atop a raised dais.

And between you and it are two of the dark skeletal beings like the one you'd fought earlier, who both rush at you immediately. But you're ready, planting your feet and with a grunt of effort swing the massive blade in a horizontal arc. Only for one of the Darkwraiths to roll UNDER your swing, and the other to raise their sword in both hands, blocking your sword's edge. But they can't stop the force of it, as your blow sends the one flying and crashing into a wall. Only for the one who'd rolled under your swing to land on their feet, thrusting their blade at your guts.

“Hmph!” you exhale, kneeing the flat of the blade up and stealing their strike's power. Followed by extending your lower leg, the snap kick taking the would-be disemboweler square in the face, knocking them staggering back. And before the recover you spin, following up your horizontal right-to-left swing with a second, bisecting the stunned being. Who dissolves into a cloud of dark motes before vanishing entirely. And before the blocker can recover, can pull themselves from the wall you level your left hand at their head, firing a Death Beam. Ending that one as well, their body dissolving into motes of darkness too. Letting you examine the large bowl-like creation on the dais, only to see as you approach there's some sort of track leading out of it, to a small platform. And there's a smell of something like tar or pitch, something flammable on it. And as you turn to the spirit, it simply hovers there near the bowl, as if waiting on you.

Well? What do you do?
>Call forth Divine Dragon Force, see if it's new power can ignite whatever this is
>Try and use your ki to light whatever that substance is
>Channel your ki through your sword and try to conjure those dark flames the knight was summoning with this blade, see if that'll light this up as well, or if you need a different fire

“Divine Dragon Force.” you say, your Stand appearing coiled tightly around your right arm. As if it could already feel the Abyss around you, and it minimizing its contact with it by pressing as much of itself together and to you as possible. “Do you think you can light that up, whatever's in there to be lit?”
“I should.” Divine Dragon Force says, its eyes blazing with the same fires as Lyin' Eyes Requiem as its voice booms. Still dampened by this place, much as your own footsteps are, but less so. As if your Stand isn't as affected by it as you are. “IGNITE

Your Stand's eyes blaze bright, and the small end of the path to be ignited lights. You both watch as the fire starts rising up the length of the channel, while the dark spirit you'd followed flies up and INTO the bowl itself. Its tiny energy vanishing completely as the large bowl's contents go up in a blaze, lighting up the cave room you are in. Illuminating the walls, banishing the darkness around you both within this space. And as it does, you feel it. The attention of SOMETHING is now focused squarely on you, something big. And powerful. And moving towards you. It's still far, you aren't quite sure how far, the Abyss distorting your perceptions. But you know it isn't an immediate threat, at least probably.

But your mind goes back to that tiny sprite, wondering why it chose to go into the fire. Why it would choose to end itself so suddenly. And as you ponder this, you turn back the way you'd come, back out the single exit to the room. Only to realize you're no longer alone. As standing between you and the door, you see a pair of strange, nearly-transparent spirits hovering there. And you freeze in place, wondering how in the world these beings got so close without you noticing. You hadn't sensed anything, but now that you see them, you realize that you CAN'T sense whatever they are.

“What the hell?” you murmur, looking at the phantoms. Wondering what these ethereal beings are or could want, only to be left not questioning it long. As both spirits raise their arms, firing bolts of lighting directly at you. Your eyes widen, then sidestep the shocking bolts. Dodging the bolts, then dashing in as you take the sword in both hands. Spinning clockwise into a circle, swinging your blade through both phantoms. Who both vanish as you bisect them, disappearing as if they never were. “Tch.”
“Now where shall we go, Karn?” your Stand asks, to which you don't quite have an an answer to. That is, until your instincts suddenly scream at you to move, and so you do. Throwing yourself to your right, crashing shoulder-first into the stone wall as another bolt of lightning passes through where you just were.

“Wherever we go, we're not staying here.” you reply, shoving off the now-cracked wall, launching yourself at another of the phantoms. Cutting it down before it could fire again, looking to the doorway. But, as you do, suddenly your eyes catch on something. Looking back across the room, you see a patch of the wall that doesn't look quite... Right. So, you step up to it, and reach out. Only for your hand to pass through it, the illusion disappearing. Revealing a gaping pit of darkness, and something powerful down below. Something mighty, and oddly familiar. You and your Stand exchange a glance, then from the corner of your eye you see another pair of those spectral beings readying their lightning attacks. And so, without waiting any longer you take the plunge, leaping down into the Dark. Wherever this leads, you're sure it's something important. Or someone, as you continue to fall deeper and deeper into the Dark.

You fall, deeper and deeper into the Dark, the oppressive pressure of the Dark weighing heaver and heavier down upon you. Until, as you descend, suddenly the darkness begins to change, and you see what look like flames far below. Dropping down and down, but as you descend the flames aren't real fire. They look like fire, but aren't actually moving. And you drop, lower and lower, until you land on an outcropping with a heavy, resonant thud. The noise echoes out, and from even further below you hear a familiar voice begin to call out as the flames made solid tremble as if an earthquake is beginning.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FzSVnrHXa0

“Who dares disturb the slumber of the Shogun of Sorrow!? The Master of Masters, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness, the one and only Aku?” the ancient evil calls out, rising up from the depths. Only to stop as he sees you, his eyes widening in surprise. “Wha-?! Karn? What are you-? What a pleasant surprise! Is that a new sword, or are you just happy to see me?”
“Aku. It's been awhile.” you reply, resting the sword on its broad tip beside you, laying your arm on the underside of the blade where a normal sword's cross guard would be. “Didn't realize I'd be stopping by.”

“Didin't realize? What do you mean?” he asks, flaming brows furrowing. “Where did you think you would end up?”
“Considering I'd lit a fire in the Abyss then pushed through an illusory wall, I didn't expect your lair to be so well-hidden inside your own Abyss.” you reply, seeing the shock on his face.
“Hold on, you what now? You LIT one of the beacons? HOW?!” he asks, eyes wide. “No one has been able to light the beacons for millions of years!”

“I had a little help.” you reply Divine Dragon Force reappearing around your arm. Aku looks from you to it, nodding in understanding.
“I see. This is a most... Interesting development. Would you be interested in aiding me in a short venture, my friend? There are two more beacons, scattered throughout the Abyss. No one knows what will happen, if they are all to be lit. It could be a fun little adventure.”

Well? How do you respond?

“I'm in. Let's do this.” you reply without hesitation. “I'll help you discover this secret.”
“EXCELLENT!” he shouts, both arms raised high overhead in celebration. “AAAAH HAAH HAAAAAH HAAAAA! GOOOOOOD! Let us go-! Ah! But first, we must find this hidden entrance you slipped inside.”

You heft the blade back onto your shoulder as he lifts you, Aku's body stretching impossibly as he rises. Higher and higher out of the flame-like domain he's claimed, rising until you begin to see the light of the fire above. Aku rises until you both reach the hidden entryway, his body morphing and shrinking until he's man-sized, or at least your size. And there, surrounding the beacon are more of those spirits. Chanting something you don't understand, but all turning as you and Aku rise. And without hesitation they fire their lightning, but Aku's swifter. Stretching his hand out, forming a wall between you both that seemingly DEVOURS the cast electricity. Then reaches out and tries to grab the ghosts as well, only for his hand to pass right right through them.

“Huuuuuuh? What are these things?” he exclaims, surprised as he can't touch them. But you can, and as he keeps passing his hand through some of them you surge forward, bisecting several with a wide swing of the blade. But this sword, unlike your Wolf Knight sword, doesn't phase Aku. You feel it hit his hand, drag through the resistance of his body, but it doesn't actually harm him as the blade slams into the stone ground. “Whaaat? They can only affect you?”
“Perhaps they're guardians of some kind?” you ask, surprised how little Aku seemingly knows of his own domain. “Who only appear when these beacons are lit?”
“Which could mean we're on a timer. As they might extinguish the flames, if given enough time.” he says, stroking his goatee curiously as two more appear. Both firing their lightning bolts at you, which you dodge easily. “There is no time to lose, let's go!”

And with a gesture he raises some sort of magical barrier over the pit you'd descended down, and before you can resist then scoops you up in his hand, his shape shifting once more as he pulls you out through the doorway. This time taking on the appearance of a massive dragon, flapping his wings as he flies through the Dark.

“I have never seen such spirits, down in my domain before.” Aku says, almost to himself as he flies. “Perhaps I have been spending too much time in the outside world, and not enough time inside my own domain? Something I shall soon rectify.”
“I know the feeling. Just found a whole new set of ruins beneath the M'lurnian Ruins on my homeworld.” you reply, Aku looking over his shoulder at you curiously. “Even deeper underground, the ancient civilization's ruins sinking into the lava there. That's where I found this ancient open portal to the Abyss, in the ruins of the First. New Salda'd tried to seal it, flooding its lava over the entrance. But that didn't seal it, and the Dark's spreading up the rock used to seal it.”

“I see. That would be why I couldn't feel it, if it was so close to your world's heart.” Aku nods in understanding. Giant wings flapping through the Abyss as he navigates the void you cannot see through. Then, in a rush of movement lands, dropping to the Abyssal stone floor next to another dark stone doorway. “Here is the second, go and do what you can. I shall keep the... Riffraff who wander the depths out, so they do not bother you.”
“Thanks. Shouldn't take long.” you reply, sliding off his draconic back, rushing inside. Where, sure enough is another of the giant beacons. With a nod to your Stand Divine Dragon Force ignites the second one same as the first, and you don't stick around to fight any of the tree-like spirits. Instead you run back to Aku, leaping back onto his back as he flaps his giant wings, taking off once more. Flying horizontally until he dives, dropping down deeper into the Dark before leveling off once more. Finding the third in minutes, Aku once again dropping you off. Rushing inside, you light the third as well. But this time, as it ignites, Aku suddenly screams.

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!” he bellows in what sounds like pain, you turning back to the doorway just in time to see his body ERUPT! Exploding with Dark like a tidal wave, engulfing you instantly. Everything goes dark, all of your senses drowned in the Abyssal blackness.

Eventually you feel yourself coming to, waking up laying face-down on the stone ground of the caves. A painful ringing in your ears, then a muffled voice in your right ear as the ground trembles and shakes occasionally.

“-ke up! Karn, you must wake up!” your Stand, Divine Dragon Force is calling to you, drawing you back to consciousness. Blinking in confusion, only to groan as you push yourself up to your hands and knees before looking up and freezing. Your heart skipping a beat as you see an unexpected sight: Aku, locked in battle with another shadowy, Dark entity. One you can't quite make out in the darkness, but of equal size to Aku. And seemingly equal power too, as the colossal beings trade blows. “Aku needs your help. Rise, Karn. Rise and aid your ally, or he might be defeated by this beast of Dark.”

You push yourself upright, staggering a step as another earthquake shakes the ground beneath your feet from the two colossal beings' brawl. Unable to see anything more of the entity Aku is fighting than dozens of glowing red eyes in the Abyss. Looking down near your feet you find that blade you'd claimed before, lifting the handle with your toes and kicking it up into your hand. But you're left with one question:

What do you do now?

“Divine Dragon Force, I need MY sword.” you say as you shift the heavy blade to your left hand, your Stand nodding in understanding.
THE ABYSSWALKER'S BLADE APPEARS.” your Stand says, eyes blazing again with that fiery light. And, sure enough, appearing in the ground two steps away is the Wolf Knight sword you've wielded against the Dark time and time again. Reaching out, your hand closing around the blade only for Aku to get blasted back from the creature in the Dark. You raise the blade aloft, channeling your ki into it and causing the sword to glow with a pale azure light. And from within the darkness you see it, the form of Manus. Father of the Abyss. Aku's progenetor, with his distorted body and crown of bone, gnarled staff in his right hand and his left the long, whip-like appendage ending in his malformed hand.

Aku's progenetor roars in challenge at you, raising his staff and leveling it at you, unleashing a storm of Darkness. Thousands of orbs of Abyssal magic swarm towards you, and on instinct you begin channeling your ki. Not into the Wolf Knight sword, but the larger black knight's sword. The blade blazing with black fire, you sweeping it at the incoming attacks. Darkness meets Dark fire, the Abyssal energies negating one another. Giving you an opening the moment Manus's attack stops, dashing in. Closing the distance, batting his shadowy left aside with the massive dark fire blade, spinning clockwise in closer into a diagonal slash from Manus's right shoulder to left hip. Pale azure flames burn the sight of the slash, the being screaming in pain as he begins thrashing violently. Abyssal energy exploding forth from him in an Explosive Wave-like blast, knocking you back. Sending you tumbling across the ground as Aku once more rushes in. Shifting his shape into a giant tentacled monster, binding Manus's arms, legs and even tail.

“KARN! Take him down, now!” Aku calls as you slide to a stop, looking up and seeing what he's doing nod. Kicking off the ground with explosive force, rapidly closing the distance. Only for that monster's left arm to just stretch, reaching out to grab you, to stop you from getting close and crush you. But you don't slow, flipping over it with the movements of the Su Ma style, slashing his thrusting arm as you flip. Landing on his arm and kicking off, driving the point of my sword's glowing blade straight through Manus's head. Splitting his face vertically, the monster howling as your killing blow lands true.

You feel Manus's energy fading as the ancient being dies once more, kicking off the beast and flipping back to land on your feet. As you land, you watch as his physical body dissolves into the Dark, leaving only his blackened soul flickering like a black flame behind in this void. Aku, reverting back to his usual form takes that soul in his hand, holding it up. Before popping it into his mouth like a snack, swallowing that soul whole. Once more taking Manus's power into his own.

“Aaaaahhhh. Thank you, Karn. Well, now at least I know what those beacons are for.” he says, seemingly mildly put out by the entire thing, of there not being some grander reward than the beacons releasing the Soul of Manus within him. “Oh well. Now, let us find that entrance you used to enter my domain.”
“Sure. But, what about those beacons?” you ask, brows furrowed. “Won't that be a problem, if anyone can come in and light them?”
“Don't you worry about that. I shall take certain... Precautions, so such an eventuality is prevented. Now that I know their purpose, and that it is possible to light them even in the Abyss, I shall have them... Relocated to more secure locations. Now, let us away.”

And he shifts once more, transforming back into his draconic form. Flying you both through the Abyss until he stops, lifting you towards something. And then you feel it, your body rising up from the depths of the Abyss. Rising up back in the hidden chamber, where the heat slams into you like a physical blow. Staggering you back, leaving you gasping for air before tapping into your Champion power once more. Mitigating the heat and pressure from the depths of the planet as Aku rises up as well. But as he does, New Salda doesn't hesitate. Reaching out, it grabs him by his horns, kicking him in the chest and knocking him back into the wall. Tearing his horns straight off his head.

“GYAAAAH!?” he shouts in pained surprise, the sudden attack catching you both by surprise. Leaving you with one question:

What do you do now?
>Fly up between them and tell New Salda to stop, that he's on our side and is going to be the one closing the portal
>Stand back and watch, see if Aku's completed power compares to your planet's own, if the surprise attack was a lucky shot, or if New Salda's stronger than him

“Woah?!” you shout as New Salda continues the attack, stepping in with a left. One that you see is YOUR jab, seems the Champion bond isn't only one way as the planet lands a powerful left into Aku's face. But you have to stop this, before this battle picks up any more. “STOP!!”

Your voice booms in the Abyssal portal room, New Salda and Aku both freezing, slowly turning towards you. And you address your planet's avatar first.

“New Salda, Aku's a friend. He's my ally, don't attack him.” you order, the planet's avatar immediately stepping back. “He's going to be closing this portal for us.”
I SEE. FORGIVE ME, AKU.” New Salda says without hesitation, hand coming to her chest in a Saiyan salute, but not bowing. “I WAS UNAWARE.”

But Aku doesn't immediately answer, staring down New Salda with narrowed eyes. Only to slowly let his face widen into a smile, creaking like a tree in the wind. His smile's even more unsettling than his anger, you feeling your entire body tense up in anticipation.

“It would seem that you have forgotten me already. That I helped protect you from those Covenant monsters. But that is understandable, as I have been away for quite some time. Next time, I shall call ahead, avatar of this world.” his eyes then narrow further, becoming more predatory, threatening. “Because you are my friend's planet, I shall not retaliate this time. But if you attack me again, I shall conquer you completely in the name of Aku.”

Aku then turns back to me, smiling as he continues.

“Thank you for bringing this portal to my attention, Karn. If you find any other portals into my domain, please let me know, and I shall close it. I do not want any of your people to fall through, or for my realm to infect your own. As I can see it is doing.” he says, gesturing at the infected stones. And with a gesture, he grabs all the infected rock with his arm like sweeping poker chips across the table to himself, pulling them through the portal in front of him. He then starts lowering himself down, grabbing the edge of the darkness itself. Only to pull that portal into himself as he disappears into the ground, turning the portal inert. Leaving you alone with your planet's avatar.

“New Salda, if you would?” you ask, gesturing to the old portal. Your planet's avatar looks from you to the deactivated portal, then understands what you're asking. Dipping both hands into the lava around it's ankles, then swings its arms. Splashing a huge spray of molten rock all over the deactivated, inert portal. Burying it within molten rock, covering it all in lava. You lift up into the air, watching as New Salda lifts and throws more and more molten rock over it, filling the chamber almost completely. No hint of the dark portal remains, New Salda then holding out a hand. Which you land upon, New Salda encasing you in its grip, retreating back through the lava. Swimming through the molten rock for several seconds, then opening its hands. Letting you step down from it's hand in front of what looks to be a temple of some kind. “What is this?”

THE TEMPLE.” New Salda says simply, as if that explains everything. And when you don't say anything, New Salda simply waits. Holding your blades, the massive sword resting on your left shoulder, Wolf Knight sword held in your right. You then walk forward, to the sealed, large double doors. Carefully setting both weapons down, you then press your hands to it. Slowly forcing the door open, stone grinding against stone as you push your way inside. Opening the doors wide enough for you to step through, telekinetically calling both swords to my hands and stepping through. Ready to see whatever lies beyond this long-sealed door, to explore the hidden depths of your world.

I'm just glad we could stop up that portal. Who know how bad things could have gotten in just a few decades if Abyssal creatures were left to run amuck down here.
Also speaking of Abyssal creatures, is there anything left of the former Champion's consciousness in his soul? I get the sense he might have known more about the intricacies of his station than we do.

With that portal sealed by the rock, the question wasn't what creatures came through. But how long until the Dark infected the very core of New Salda itself.
Perhaps. Might be something you could study, in time. When you have time, and not under a week.

> As if your Stand isn't as affected by it as you are. “IGNITE”
It’s really impressive that it could do what seemingly nobody else so far managed to do. Those beacons are strange. As if they were made just for purpose of tearing Manus out of Aku. Or chopping a big dark being in two. Pic maybe related.
>>6383366

Interesting. I wonder what else he has there that he does not know about.
>>6382935
>I think you mean ESPECIALLY if it's Caulifla.
Yes. I guess I phrased it weirdly. I meant that she helps everyone so much. If it would ever happen that she was in need of serious and urgent medical help Karn could do it. Karn does not flaunt that he has this new power, most does not know about it, but nonetheless it’s important that he can use it to save life in a critical situation.
>>
>>6383459
>“THE ABYSSWALKER'S BLADE APPEARS.” your Stand says, eyes blazing again with that fiery light.
It’s awesome that Divine Dragon Force seems to know instinctively what to say in order to get results without side effects.

Cool. I wonder what else she learned from Karn.

I’m concerned. Is she having a memory problems? Aku is quite hard to forget.
>>6383491
>And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy the ride?
Yes. It was a very interesting adventure.
>Ready to see what lies inside the ancient temple,
I cannot begin to guess. I am very curious. Is this temple older than entire Saiyan race?
>what the First have left behind and what you can claim for your family?
If there is something magical there, that would be very ancient magic. Perhaps something modern wizards might not know.
> Curious if anything still calls these halls home, or if any of their ancient defenses are still working?
Yes. Who could live here after all this time?
>And are you ready to return to the surface, to continue your preparations for what is to come?
Sure.
>>6383563
>But how long until the Dark infected the very core of New Salda itself.
That sounds scary. Would it start to cause the darkness to spread into the entire planet, eventually consuming all of it and turning it into Dark planet?
Would the Dark start to infect the living beings on the surface even before the darkness would rise from the depths?
Would her avatar look like this picture this then? Or would her form become twisted like Manus?
>>
>>6383833
>I’m concerned. Is she having a memory problems? Aku is quite hard to forget.
New Salda is a planet, i.e., an extremely large and long lived geological entity. I'd hazard a guess that days feel like minutes at the most to her. For all we know. Aku's intervention back in the day might have lasted only a few moments in her eyes, assuming she even bothered to look into what was happening in orbit around her at the time.
>>
>>6383606
This is also training. Just training Tatsu and Tomi, before they departed. Speaking of, wonder how their field trip to Azar's going? And if they've had to use any of that training Nappa gave them yet?

Divine Dragon Force is POWERFUL now. Between LER and some of Super Shenron's power, it's growth dwarfs your own.
Especially since even HE didn't know about that particular hidden entrance to his inner sanctum.
It is a very cool form. And also alarming that Aku's domain is filled with beings he doesn't understand or know. Seems he'll have to go searching the shards of himself for knowledge, to see what all they know.
It is an excellent trump card, in the right situation.
>>6383833
Divine Dragon Force knows quite a lot more than it lets on. It is very aware.
A VERY good question. Does it get Karn's paternal instincts too?
Not quite memory problems. But remember, Aku almost never actually TOUCHES the planet, and only ever did so with permission. And, Aku also hasn't touched down on New Salda since completing and fully reunifying his soul.
It's going to be a surprise, that's for sure. You're now entering a civilization from Moro's time.
Hard to say, would depend on how your world handled the Dark. But one thing's for certain, if that Dark ran out of control, New Salda would grow a lot more eyes.
>>6383842
Yes. And with the Siege of New Salda, there was FAR too much going on on the ground, including the damage it took from those glassing cannons to worry about space too.
>>
>>6383902
What does divine dragon force think of karn using his powers for seemingly trivial things (even if they aren't) like light the fire, get me my sword, make that guy kneel, and not big things like erase that fucker entire lineage from existence or rewind time or other extravagant show of force.
>>
>>6383958
DDF understands instinctually the potential costs of this power. And that a "less is more" approach is generally the best way to do it. As for the beacons, unless you possessed a physical fire source that could burn in the dampness of the Abyss, that was the best way to do it. And trying to, say, GIVE you a new power like the ability to make flames yourself wouldn't work.
>>
>>6383902
Wait. The first race...moro's time...magic...horned...
Is New Salda his homeworld?
More importantly, did Moro kars his people and wipe them out in his bid to gain power?

No, he devoured his homeworld and all of its inhabitants. Another reason why Kars fears him, its someone as ruthless as he.

>True enough. But is time HIS domain, or did he simply not stop whoever did change it, because he knew it would make a better tournament? Even if that may or may not have been the one who changed it's original intent.
While dealing with Time itself is not Grand Priest’s job, Zeno is called Kind of All. Going by this name it can be assumed that he can if he wants to influence time too. When he deleted Trunk’s timeline because of Zamasu and stared to live in another timeline it was alright. He also does not seem to be eager to micromanage everything in the universes and lets other deities do that. I think Whis’ father has great power to do a lot on Zeno’s behalf and also I remember that Angels can reverse time. I would assume Grand Priest could be one responsible for changed time flow in other universes but I’m not sure. It’s all me trying to guess it.
It could also be as you said it was. That he saw someone else do it and he just let it happen.
>>6383034
>Huh. I wonder how strong our Champion form is down here.
Maybe equally strong as New Salda’s avatar? Down here it could be power of an entire planed focused into Karn.
>>6383902
>Speaking of, wonder how their field trip to Azar's going
They did not appear in intermission or epilogue, but that does not mean they were caught. Right? Hopefully pic related was not their disguise while going undercover.
>Especially since even HE didn't know about that particular hidden entrance to his inner sanctum.
>also alarming that Aku's domain is filled with beings he doesn't understand or know.
It’s not alarming to him. He is practically indestructible and immortal + he has absurdly strong regeneration, can tank almost any damage without problem. For him there is probably no need to worry about most things. He did not feel the need to carefully check his own domain for potential dangers. Even those unknown ghosts could not harm him.
Then there are also other important things to do outside of Abyss, like making sure he does not miss even a minute of Chaya’s stream.
>Seems he'll have to go searching the shards of himself for knowledge, to see what all they know..
He did not do it earlier? Was he not curious? He lives without worry.
>>
>>6384678
Remember, while Zen-Oh is powerful, the angels are all limited in their actions. Grand Priest can fulfill orders that are on behalf of Zen-Oh's wants, such as building the ToP arena, or training mortals like he did Goku in the Heroes timeline to better control UI. But angels are strictly limited in the scope of their actions, in the degrees to which they're allowed to meddle. Remember, Whis never touched Broly, but could stop attacks from Moro because he had stolen an angel's powers at that point.
The twins story'll get revealed when it's time. Can't just reveal how what could become a plot point's going right now, might give you all spoilers that could influence decisions.
Being almost completely unstoppable and with few weaknesses does make one complacent. Especially when they've completed their lifelong goal to achieve power beyond most deities in this age of reality. It's one of the first pieces split off from the Dark Soul itself. His soul is noticeably stronger than the Darkmoon Soul Caulifla has.

>Divine Dragon Force is POWERFUL now. Between LER and some of Super Shenron's power, it's growth dwarfs your own.
That’s good to hear that Divine Dragon Force improved so much. In fact it is awesome in my opinion. Though there is also another side to that. Remember there was this moment where Majin Ozotto was sent here. He impersonated Meloka and tried to surprise Karn, but Karn noticed it was an imposter. After the failure he returned to people who sent him here and they talked. It was said that goal was to steal or take power of Karn. I’m not sure what exactly they mean by that but now they probably want it even more.
> A VERY good question. Does it get Karn's paternal instincts too?
Possible, but how it would manifest? She is already a planet that allows many lifeforms to live on her. Would she for example consciously alter her climate to make life there “nicer” to creatures?
Also if she is getting from Karn his dedication to training, does it mean that she is practicing Su Ma or Djem So in the planet’s underground using her avatar?
Maybe she wants to join Karn’s and Meloka’s lessons?
>Not quite memory problems. But remember, Aku almost never actually TOUCHES the planet, and only ever did so with permission. And, Aku also hasn't touched down on New Salda since completing and fully reunifying his soul.
My bad. I did not pay attention to that detail. Interesting. He really puts an importance to this. Anybody else would just land and walk on the planet without any second thought, but not Aku. He makes sure to not touch Karn’s planet accidentally.

>“THE ABYSSWALKER'S BLADE APPEARS.” your Stand says, eyes blazing again with that fiery light. And, sure enough, appearing in the ground two steps away is the Wolf Knight sword you've wielded against the Dark time and time again.
The power also takes Divine Dragon Force’s intention into account when making it happen. “THE ABYSSWALKER'S BLADE APPEARS” could theoretically cause a creation of a new sword, but I’m sure it did not happen. Instead it transported Karn’s sword to this place. It was not outright stated, but that’s what Dragon wanted and so it happened.

Damn. Happens to my mobile range, some faggot posting epstein's favorite content on my phone provider's data.
Very much so. And yes, they're after Karn's power. But is that the Berserker Soul they refer to, or DDF?
New Salda doesn't exactly TRAIN or practice, since it doesn't have a body. But it can fight just like you now. And when you fight with your Champion power next, well... You may have a surprise in store.
It was a subtle detail, if you go back through all the encounters. He respects the planets themselves, as their avatars are essentially deities. And pissing off a whole planet's the sort of thing you only do once.
Yes, Divine Dragon Force understands its power. And while it can't articulate that to you, but currently when it wants to use that power it can. Think of it like Shenron, who can CHOOSE how wishes are fulfilled. It follows intent as much as the words, look back at the first fight. Every time Lyin' Eyes Requiem said you can't beat it, it changed the ENTIRE ROOM and everyone in it. You to a lesser extent than everyone else, but even your Fatelessness was falling under its influence over time.
It will be quite the surprise.
