finally taking it easy after a long day
once i got home, a bunch of stuff arrived so i had to put shit together
my mini fridge arrived along with my shoe rack and my bedside table so it was pretty bitchy to put all this together without an electric screwdriver, but i did it
only got to touch my pc again after lunch break at 11 pm

i am too tired to send out hugs or pats but i still send my regards to yuyuko anon, eiki anon and kaguyanon

>>82323886

aye, but it's less so feeling like i didn't accomplish much and more so wishing i did other shit than just schmooze all damn night
i rarely feel like i didn't accomplish anything these days anymore, my useless days are over lol

there's a difference between self sabotage and being kind
being kind at the expense of yourself means you're doing more harm than good, you're harming yourself and potentially the other person as well, all for the sake of doing what you think is a good deed

be fair, anon
treat the kind with kindness and shun away the wicked, so you may keep yourself in a good enough spot that you can still help others who actually deserve it
punishing the wicked is also an act of kindness and mercy towards them, you know?
through punishment they learn that their actions have consequences, and can choose to become better people as a result (and if they don't, well... push them away so someone else teaches them a harsher lesson)

not really, we're coworkers so i know he's coming back here in the coming months
see, he's from the customer relationship department and there are some events that happen here, since we're a nationwide organization
whenever those happen, he'll be coming here to visit for a week or so, and those happen a few times per year so we're good on that regard, lol

>>82333973
>I love sleeping
I always feel like I'm missing out when I'm sleeping... What if the coolest, most epicest thing happens and I miss it?! Maybe I'm not so good at taking it easy!
>How long have u been singing?
Hmmm, that's a tricky question. As silly as it sounds, before I had more privacy to sing, I used to play the kazoo along to melodies/vocals, which actually helped me get better at pitch in the end! I've also had a microphone set up where I can live monitor my voice for about a decade now, which I always have on, so I'm really in tune with how my voice sounds even when speaking. So a couple moving parts all came together and I just started picking up singing normally maybe about 5 years ago, and it just felt so natural other than having to actually mouth words instead of play the kazoo and only go doodoodoo. Before that I used to sing in the car when I had to go places, but now I don't really go anywhere, so I practice singing with my mic set up a lot more than I used to and I've gotten better despite not really "properly" training, like lessons or drills or whatever people do to actually git gud.
>Sometimes i like 2 sing along 2 songs as well.
It's really fun! Do you have the privacy to sing when you want? It's kind of my special interest if you haven't guessed, so when I wasn't able to sing much, I was often really sad and longing just to sing for a bit. Sometimes I'd go for a drive just to be able to sing. Do you consider yourself any good? Not that being good matters too much, it's just fun to sing anyway!

That's okay! Everyone takes it easy in their own way!
As 4 me, idk! Ig i just like being in a calm state where u don't have 2 think!
>singing
Wow, u must b really good then! My singing voice is horrible, but then again i did not practice as much as u did...
>>82334028

I suppose i do have my bedroom! It would b rather embarrising if someone walked in on me singing...
>>
>>82334141
>It would b rather embarrising if someone walked in on me singing...
Yeah, that's why I played my silly kazoo. In a way, it being stupider made it less embarrassing, but maybe I'm a weirdo!
>>
>>82334028
>Yeah, let's take it eajy!!!!
good, i'll be counting on you then

>I always feel like I'm missing out when I'm sleeping...
as the local oneironaut, i can attest quite a lot can happen when you sleep
you may wander some really crazy dreamscapes while you're away, and even though the echoes you bring back aren't always clear or may fade from memory quickly, you still bring something back with you

>>82334141
>It would b nice 2 have some place 2 cool down my drinks
true, hence get a smaller one if you can
those tend to be on the cheaper side

>promotional event?
no, homologation event is basically when the client comes here and we showcase what we developed so they can evaluate our work
they may propose changes, reschedule some other demands, etc.
but homologation basically means validation, client comes to evaluate our work

>>82335574
>Why do you feel dread about having a job? Having to interact with people too much, or?
I don't like that but it's mostly the feeling of dehumanization of being forced to do certain things. I feel like my entire life is just being dragged between things that I "have" to do. I "have to" go to school because I "have to" go to college because I "have to" get a good job because the economy is shit and even spending 2 fucking decades of your life studying barely nets you something mediocre and after all that I've gained absolutely nothing, I'm just treading water. All of that for what. I don't even want to live really but I find the concept of killing myself cringe so I just feel perpetually trapped

Would it help to cut costs some by getting your own food from fishing and the like? Could probably work only part-time if housing is covered that way. Depending on where you live you could get tons of fish to eat. Catfish always tastes great too. I've had dreams about just trying to live off in the wilderness instead of having to get a job quite a lot.
>>82335630

Half-hobo half-in society is an interesting idea. I think if I had the skills I would probably go full hermit tho. Maybe I should just devote my life to figuring out some kind of lifestyle like that
>>
>>82333338
I think I took it pretty easy today. Not a bad day all things considered. I am feeling really lonely though. I isolated myself from all of my friends and I haven't talked to them for months so I'm starved for social interaction, and I'm not sure if I will be able to handle socializing in college again. Well, last term was honestly a pretty traumatizing experience in terms of socializing so I don't think I will be trying as hard as I did before. I put too much effort in and failed miserably to make any lasting friendships. The depression of failing to make friends lead to my burnout I think. To be honest it has been quite nice just relaxing in solitude.

Fishing is always useful in that regard then. You can learn all kinds of stuff online. Go with learning how to tie some knots for your hook and how to grab and unhook fish to start off. My best advice is that bait fishing is relaxing and easy, oily stuff tends to attract fish(like hot dogs) and you'll get most of your bites nearer to sunset and sunrise. You can use organs from previously caught fish as bait for more fish too, but you can also just catch minnows or smaller fish for bait for bigger ones.

Also if you like crayfish you can get minnow traps to catch those too. I've heard that roasting them will make them taste like lobster.
>>82335767
Have some social interaction here too :). Solitude is my preference, but hopefully things go smoother for you this time around.
>>82335815
Magnets are pretty cool though!
>That's it? No devious intentions? No creating an entire ecosystem that relies on tiny clams to exist?
Sadly I lack the resources to do that, but if I can get them to breed well then I might to try include them in my plan to make a super salty bin of creatures that I've bred to handle that salinity.
>So it's just for a weird fetish
I am a pure person, /an/ has its zoophile degenerates though. I got the idea to get some though when getting my new isopods and learning the hard way that potting soil beneath the sand is a bad idea. That water keeps fouling up and I have to keep doing water changes. It's just producing so many bacterial blooms. The isopods are still somehow happy though. I should take a picture of them later.
>But also today my summer vacation comes to an end, so...

My dad was a plumber for most of his life and I think he enjoyed being able to work his own hours and turn down jobs he didn't want to do. Being self-employed might work better for you but the hard part is finding a job you can tolerate doing.

>>82335767

I was definitely doing that last semester and it caused me a lot of mental health problems. I shouldn't be so desperate to become a normie that I destroy myself in the process... I was trying so hard to figure out the normie rules and make myself more social. I think I will be more chill this time. I don't need to be popular, I just need to be happy!

What times did you go out to catch stuff? They will pretty much never bite during mid-day, and the ones who will will be those who go for lures instead of bait. Lure fishing requires taking where you cast into account too, like bluegills like to hide under trees and docks during the day to stay out of the sun and generally lure fishing under a bridge is good.

At least with trapping you should have much better luck. Most of the people I knew who trapped for crayfish just used dog food, which is super cheap. Just a couple of pellets in the trap and they'd plunk it down and come back in 4-5 hours to get any crayfish.
>>82335953
Your stalker may very well be a fujo. Remain calm. Tomato soup is nice too, but I always prefer meat and flesh >B^). Jellyfish are surprisingly closely related to us compared to sponges and comb jellies though. I love alien things though so I love jellies a lot :). Box jellyfish can actually pursue and hunt things too and they have eyes.

There's a lot of pressure to fit in or be seen as normal. Just do what makes you happy and if you make friends along the way that's a nice bonus.
I used to worry that I wasn't social enough or didn't have a gf or whatever but I'm pretty sure I just got psyopped into that, or confused feeling sad about other things with that.

Oh, definitely. She doesn't even try to hide it. I think she might try to kidnap me if I let my guard down.

Isn't that true of most living things though? I vaguely remember hearing that we share lots of DNA with bananas and slugs as a kid.

Not here. It's still 30+ degrees most days. There was a hot weather warning when I left today, but there was a strong breeze from the typhoon which made it quite pleasant.

kek, well you could hopefully let her down gently if you're not interested in her. Kidnapping may be a bit difficult for a girl who I assume is probably pretty small.
>Isn't that true of most living things though?
Kind of, basically for animals the cnidarians and bilaterians(basically all of the animals that are bilaterally symmetrical) cluster together. It's weird though because there's some implications that the comb jellies split off first and then the sponges and the group with jellyfish and us split later. My own theory is that the comb jellies evolved from a group that remained planktonic. The idea being that before you had the planula larvae you had something that looked more like an embryo, a little ball with choanocytes on it that just floated around and ate. The planula forming group came to form the rest of the animals whilst the ctenophores just progressed to being larger planktonic things. Pic related is a planula larva.

For sponges you have something like that ancestral form, a free-swimming larva, but those larvae also crawl to find a spot to form the adult form later.

That's preferable B^). I'm very biased because I hate the French and love the Dutch and Germans. I wanna see what it'll be like playing in the HRE. That or trying something in Iberia. I figure both of those regions could be nice, but the HRE is probably gonna need more than a few DLCs, knowing Paradox.

At least the grammar and spelling would be a lot more consistent. Plus if you could speak that variety of English then you'd be at a good likelihood of understanding a lot of Dutch and some Danish.

I wonder how they'll handle Prussia and Brandenburg. I haven't heard anything on it yet, did they cover anything related to all of that?

It's not the funnest place in EU4 so I can't blame you. Spain or Portugal would probably be better in multiplayer since the AI won't be as retarded with colonies versus you.

More optional DLCs would be nice also and for today I'm gonna take it easy because I have a cut on my foot B^).

That makes sense. I didn't consider it would be a common ancestor thing, just that life needs a lot of the same DNA to do stuff.

>That makes sense. I didn't consider it would be a common ancestor thing, just that life needs a lot of the same DNA to do stuff.
Oh yeah, a lot of basic genes are shared by most of life. We share something like 60% of our DNA with bananas iirc. That doesn't cover the cooler stuff that occurs though, organisms have some neat tricks to mess around with their DNA to expand upon what 1 gene might be able to produce. Vertebrates from what I remember seem to make a lot of use of exons and introns.

They've been growing in size quite a bit and their numbers have gone up. And now for the actual picture. I took some ones of the little guys before I changed their water and a picture of the tank after I changed it. For reference that sand WAS white. taking it easy after work
today i dreamed of my boss for some reason, me, our team and him were all celebrating the end of a cycle or something only they understood because i'm new here, but it was nice
we ate well and we schmoozed quite a lot
another of the newcomers then invited me to dinner that day after that, and later when i went to where she told me to, i noticed she lived in a damn mansion with a big garden and all, lol
and i remember peeking at her phone at some point and she was sending someone a message like
>i invited him here and he still didn't get the hint
and i was confused as fuck, only noticed what she meant when i woke up

i also tried washing my clothes at home for the first time, decided to keep the washing machine
we'll see how they turn out, but i already know i'll have to wash some of my underwear by hand, since they're still a bit darkened around the sides...
perks of visiting the countryside, one trip and you may soak yourself in mud down to your underwear

Potatoes are easy. You just dig some ridges and put em in about 8-12 inches and then maybe twice a season treat them for blight. ngl not having a gf was a big part causing me mental health problems, also the not social enough thing, so i can relate. the cognitive dissonance of wanting these things but also not really wanting these things naturally messed with my head,.

The fiercesome Yuyuko anon stalks the mangrove swamps looking for fish to snag up. Box jellyfish are really cool though, gotta love them. It's my belief that they're the earliest cnidarians to evolve the medusa form and that that's why they're so advanced. They've got eyes, a more complex nervous system and some of them even skip making anemones. A comb jelly you might like though would be some of the platyctenids. Some of them look like bunny-eared slimes, pic related. The ctenophores have their own equivalent to the stinging cells of cnidarians too but instead of a sting they're sticky. These guys will have one tentacle come out of each of their lobes to catch tiny bits of food to eat.

>that sounds nise, even if i don't like fish that much! What kind of fish is it?
Alaskan Pollock! Fish can taste so different from each other. Grouper is pretty mild but nice, no fishy taste and catfish is wonderful and savory. If you bleed your fish though then they'll taste less fishy or not fishy at all, not all fishermen do this though. It's true with pigs and cows too, the blood makes the meat taste more gamey. Pollock is pretty mild though, but it's cheap B^).

>star trek told me that eugenics and genetic engineering r not the answer...
But Star Trek also thinks that societies will work without currencies and that people will totally just work for prestige, doesn't it? My opinion of Star Trek is not very high. It always came off as boomer progressive fantasy stuff. Eugenics is maligned by people though. It breaks down, classically, into two branches:
>Positive eugenics
Where you promote the fertility of those people who're good for society(intelligence, healthy, kind people)
>Negative eugenics
Where you hinder the fertility of people who are bad for society(criminals, abusers, people who can't even support themselves).

People are usually only familiar with negative eugenics and particular with things like sterilizing disabled people(which is dumb, their fertility is already sub-replacement and usually if they have kids it's because of an abusive staff member who should be the one getting sterilized or worse).
>well, as long as I get 2 play united states early, i'm not complaining!

These threads are like a ray of hope in this doomed forum (and internet and life desu). I feel like if more people were like the easytakers we wouldn't have so much negativity nowadays. Even though sometimes we people may feel like we dont belong in this world or that there is no way for us to be happy in the future, we should remember that we are not the only people who may be feeling that way.
By creating spaces like this, people can realize that they are not alone and it allows them to interact with others who may or have been in similar positions.

A wise man once said: "The world won't change for the better unless we trust people. Trust is vital in a peaceful world. But that will never happen." (this was actually said in Ace Combat 0 lol). If people would be more welcoming and nice to others, both irl and online, I'd like to think that everyone would feel like they "fit in as they are" and those feelings of alienation wouldn't be as common.

that way we would have more people interacting irl and discovering new things about themselves and the world. instead, we live in a world in which its really hard to truly connect with people, as everyone judges everyone for some dumb shit they saw on the internet. either you agree with my political stance or you are the enemy, if you are not a virgin you shouldnt post in r9k bc you cant understand me, if you are a woman either tits or gtfo... there is also the fact that many people won't hesitate to take advantage of you if you allow them

i wished we were all more empathetic, but this world is a lost cause and i can only control how i react to it

Maybe, but I think a lot of it could be narcissism and savior complex. I have a soft spot for the nicer types of people that browse here, the ones that aren't supremely racist, homophobic, generally hateful, and I always wish I could just say magic words to them to help them out of their depression and loneliness. I've never been as lonely as many of the people here, but I have fallen through the cracks in society in a lot of others ways and I hate when people get left behind like that. I've met too many nice people from here or elsewhere that simply shoot themselves in the foot too much without realizing it or just need some people to give them a chance and they'd make great progress. social and otherwise, but unfortunately I can't save them by myself. And then they often become dependent and clingy, because I go so far out of my way for them sometimes, and I sometimes get accused of trying to get them hooked on me when I don't think it's the case at all. But I've been accused so many times that maybe there's truth to it, again possible savior complex/narcissism. I dunno. I'm a good bit drunk and feeling many emotions at the moment, so I'm blogging pretty aggressively.
>>
>>82354021
People don't have hope in empathy itself, I think. That being empathetic won't get them anywhere or anything, and as much faith I have in humanity, people do not do things when they think they will get nothing out of it. That something may not be a gf or whatever, it could just be self satisfaction, for instance. Knowing that yes, I potentially made someone's day a bit better and that's a good thing all around so I feel good for doing it, apparently does not come naturally to all, though I don't understand why not. I am a bit of a cripple and when I'm having particularly rough days, people can tell that I'm doing so bad that they offer me their seats if they're sitting somewhere like a waiting room, and I wish I could transplant that feeling that those people give me when they do that so everyone could see how much being a nice/good person. I have too much faith in others to believe that they would not want to spread that feeling if they could truly see it/believe in it. I don't know if this made much sense, again I drank a good bit tonight.

>if more people were like the easytakers we wouldn't have so much negativity nowadays.
hard to say... negativity and positivity need a balance, else they both lose meaning

>Trust is vital in a peaceful world. But that will never happen.
trust is not to be given or taken lightly
it is a treasure and must be treated as such
i agree that we need peace, but "never" is a long, long time... who knows what might happen in the near infinity

>i wished we were all more empathetic
you stopped wishing?
>this world is a lost cause
on the contrary, the world is what we make of it
we can all influence the world to some extent, but we can create our own bubbles around ourselves and make something great out of it
and if we expand this bubble to include others who'll maintain and expand it as well... we might see something really good coming up too

don't lose hope, anon
change always ripples outward, and it starts with you

You sound leftist
Jokes aside, humanity has always been like this, there was never any hope to begin with. What you see on one of the last remaining bastions of the old internet is a place that was once free of cancer because it was only used by people who had any sense of self-awareness, but that is now infected thanks to big corpos making it accessible to everyone. This might change soon though, because it turns out that allowing people to speak freely on the internet is too big of a threat to governments. Even this website has recently filed a lawsuit against the UK circus for excessive buffoonery, so enjoy while it lasts.

taking it easy on a day off again
today i dreamed i had a girl sit on my lap, me resting my head on her chest while we hug each other and just stay there blissfully
one of my many romantic fantasies came to haunt me that day, but it was strangely sweet too, like (re?)visiting a (future?) memory

today i want to get some grilled salmon for lunch, and so i shall
but first, to call my relatives... if they reply to my messages, lol

you guys take care out there, and have a hearty lunch today too

true, i felt it was so much easier to play conviction than the others, for some reason
i didn't pay enough attention to things back then to tell what caused this, but now that you mention it...
in conviction, what really kept me hooked was the story, cause the gameplay was stealth mixed with... something else
i remember i could go in guns blazing if i wanted to without making things too hard on myself, so i was like, where's the stealth?

did you play blacklist yet? if so, what's it like?

twice a week is fine, i suppose
i'm just sick of running into drunkards that make me worry more than i should

and drinking is NOT fun, i tried it and could never find enjoyment in feeling awful
>>
>>82358976
I have a really good tolerance, and I'm a VERY happy, silly drunk. One time I cried tears of joy from eating a pizza because I thought it tasted so good. It's like all my joy comes back to me and everything is funny, happy time where I laugh at everything. I do admittedly get really loud and obnoxious in that sense, but I think a lot of it is because my drinking buddy (who pays for almost all my drinks too) thinks it's funny. I dunno, I've ONLY had good times drinking, but I still don't recommend it to anyone! It's definitely not good for my liver, I just need at least a day in the week to let loose and remember what it's like to have fun and not lay in bed in pain all sad and depressed.

The goal is to stop drinking once we can get all my chronic pain and stuff under control, but that's seeming pretty impossible.

I'll be okay!! (I'm coping)
>>
>>82359026
sigh, and that's the most dangerous kind of drunk, the happy one
can't you just get the same effect from a little alcohol without actually getting drunk? like just a cup of wine

the goal should be to stop drinking now so that you won't have something else on your hands once you get your pain under control
a shot of sake or a cup of wine per day is fine, getting wasted once or twice a week is kinda fine (could be worse i guess), but yeah
it's not worth if it causes more problems down the line than they solve now
>>
>>82359718
>the goal should be to stop drinking now so that you won't have something else on your hands once you get your pain under control

I just don't know how to mentally cope without the forget-my-problems juice. Money troubles, pain, housing worries, everything goes away when I'm being silly drunk

i am getting worryingly more acquainted with that and as much as i despise the taste of alcohol it's the only thing that keeps my head calm
though like the other anon said, are you sure that just being tipsy isn't enough? for me it is. perhaps next time you drink you could try getting only tipsy and see how it feels
>>82359810
you should get a gas station burger anon
>>
>>82359782
>everything goes away when I'm being silly drunk
it's a snowball, it only grows bigger over time and you're adding to your problems, not making them go away
money troubles? if i managed to live under my relatives' roof with only half a min wage payout a month (and they only got me power, internet, water and housing, rest was on me), you can make it as well
i can offer some advice if you'd like, and so can others here

pain? you seem on the way to getting that fixed up, from what you told me, or at least getting it dialed down
health is your #1 priority so do what it takes to improve it, drinking will not do that
housing? same as money, we can find a way, we definitely will
other problems? much the same, we can look into things and think up some steps for you to follow over time

drinking is not the way out, you're digging yourself into a deeper spot instead
here and again is ok as i said, but if you make a habit out of it, then you won't look for permanent solutions and spiral

I have pretty crippling arthritis that affects everywhere in my whole body. My worst days look like me laying in bed barely able to hold my phone. Average day is struggling to walk for10 mins or sit for an hour. My hands have so much irreversible joint damage that a good number of my fingers don't move a significant portion and things like typing have gotten really hard. I feel like at this point, if I can't even sit and use my hands, there's not going to be many jobs left for me, because walking is out of the question completely. I get so worked up walking for 10 minutes that I stop hearing the world around me and everything becomes a blur of "HURRY THE FUCK UP AND SIT DOWN" and I can't even communicate to others coherently because the pain is just that overwhelming. Not to mention stiffness, where literally my joints just physically cannot bend when they're bad to begin with

So I'm trying to apply for disability, but this is merica, where fuck you! None of my doctors will talk about disability with me or help me with the process, or do the things the lawyers are asking me to get done. It's been almost 2 years since I applied and now I have to see a judge. I go to the doctors regularly as I should, and I have an appointment with the Rheumatologist soon, who's the big important one for me, so I'm going to try and kick and scream until something gets done because this life is just not liveable sometimes. I've had days where I end up peeing myself because I'm too busy struggling to even stand on my legs to get to the bathroom. It's really bad. So I'm doing what I think I can do, and I really don't know what else I CAN do. I don't want to be defeatist, that's not really my style, it's mostly a lack of creativity, I think. Or a genuine lack of options.

Drinking also does not help my health, yeah... I am honestly a little afraid my drinking buddy will stop being so generous with me if I stop being super fun to hang out with by drinking and being silly style. He is often how I get food and solve problems around the house. He makes some decent dough so he doesn't really need all the excess. Plus he's kinda dumb in the sense that it would go to vtubers if not to me... So it's a little complicated, but health is priority anyway, I suppose... I'm just scared I won't have him to lean on as much if he grows bored of me.

why not have a heart to heart with him about this?
i'm not asking you to stop drinking either, once or twice a week is fine as i said, moderation is key after all
but in the long run you have a good chance of spiralling into the drinks as a way of escaping your problems, you'll always be tempted to drink more and more often and it'll only get worse from there

but talk to him about it, it's a serious health risk and you already have plenty on your plate
i get how it is, to be afraid your supporters won't help you out forever, but i'm sure you two can work something out
the only way of erasing insecurities and fears is to face them

stay strong, anon
i admire your strength already, it takes a lot to not be crushed under that kind of weight and you're already pulling it off
better days will come, and we'll make sure of it, won't we?

>doctors
Well, they aren't all bad. They're going above and beyond to try and help me with new medications, cutting edge medical AI tests to see what medications would work, like they are treating my symptoms as best they can. Just for some reason they specifically don't want to deal with disability. It's very odd.

I will still try to cut down the drinking! I threw up for the first time ever from drinking just this wednesday I think it was? And while I posted about it and found it funny, it was also kinda scary. Like damn... I drank a lot...
I KNOW alcohol can make my inflammation worse though, so it is objectively a bad decision, it's mostly just I'm struggling to cope with the mental fight. I'm also bipolar, which doesn't help! Though that's mostly taken care of through meds and therapy.

My PC is currently at the shop, I have been out of a PC for about a week really. I won't get a call from them til Tuesday.
It would turn on but a few seconds later it would shut off. PC isn't that old really other than one of the components: Power supply I had it for about ten years now.
>>
>>82362092
Oh, okay, shop will definitely handle it, power supply sounding like a highly probable cause.
I'd die without a PC for that long...

turns out the following day, i was told he'd be going out with his wife and the folks from the homologation to some beach near here, i was invited but i turned it down, didn't feel like going out much this weekend
so that was more or less a future sight

>>82361877
>Just for some reason they specifically don't want to deal with disability.
a wild guess is that they want you to keep coming back so they treat the symptoms, just to say they're not doing anything
unless you're also treating the root cause, i don't buy that story that they're going above and beyond to try and help

>Like damn... I drank a lot...
temperance, anon
drinking once or twice a week doesn't mean drinking yourself under the fucking table
it means getting a buzz and being a merry go lucky creature like you claim to be when drunk

>mostly just I'm struggling to cope with the mental fight.
yeah, that's definitely a lot to take in, but all i can say is what you already know, that this isn't the way to go about it
is there something you enjoy doing that doesn't involve moving? like maybe watching something or listening to music or talking (although that requires you to move your jaw which i'm not sure helps so much)

I'm on a bunch of drugs, like $20k per months worth. Thank you, medicaid... And with them I am at least able to push myself to get to my appointments and stuff, but they usually take the energy out of me for the rest of the day. Before all the meds, I couldn't even wrap my hands around the steering wheel, for instance. It was like I was turning petrified!

>>82362417
Does it smell good? I haven't been near the ocean in so long, but I feel like the ocean breeze smelled nice...

>>82362376
Well, actually, I suppose they are treating the root cause and NOTHING else, is how I should have said it. They refuse to give me anything for pain, they refuse to work with me on disability, they really are dragging their legs on my secondary meds (the main ones are expensive, active biologic shots, which we finally found one that does SOMETHING at least, but we're wondering if it's not good enough still...)
There's a lot more they could do technically, I suppose... But I feel like they dropped everything they were doing once they saw me at first. But maybe now it's not as true that they're doing their best.

>is there something you enjoy doing that doesn't involve moving?
I love to sing! I can't do it all the time, and surprisingly it's pretty draining, at least for someone weak in the bones like me. I actually have a lot of hobbies/interests that I can still access, it's just that I can only do them for maybe an hour and then I'm pooped. I actually got pic related for its drum pads, so I could learn to "play drums" on them, because the real drums would kill me in 2 minutes. They actually sound pretty realistic with the right program! Like one of those standard electronic drum kits, you know?

>r u able 2 do the things u like doing?
Kinda. Some days I can play video for like an hour before I start taking breaks. Sometimes even just having my hand in the mouse position messes me up. So it really just depends on the day.
I'm very music oriented, I like to listen in general of course, DJ, play my goofy little drum machine I posted previously, but most of all sing. Add vidya and that's basically my life. Luckily these all can be done sitting down, so I have a chance to do them a lot of the time. When I don't even have the ability to sit upright, I watch movies and youtube and stuff. Better than just laying there staring at 4 walls. I am mostly limited in how long I can do things, it's an endurance issue mostly.
