>be accepted at the most prestigious university in my country for computer science
>A month passes by
>Too dumb to for the classes
>Too quiet to get hoes
>Self sabotage and crashed out this week
Feel's like I'm living on borrowed time because I doubt I'm going to clear this shit degree and when they kick me out I'm gonna be all out of options, CS anons what other careers did you pivot to?
>>
reach out for help, im sure you can do it with the resources the university provides, though obviously it would be much easier if you had lots of friends to help you and support you, or at least a misaki nakahara gf

CS is definitely the easiest STEM path and is unbelievably saturated with promises to eliminate the career soon anyway. You're incredibly late to the party and are stunted intellectually at that.
>>

the concrete options depend on the country you live in. sometimes it's possible to work without an degree if you have the relevant work experience, sysadmin and networking stuff is also an option. degrees that are kinda related but incorporate other stuff are also an option (lets you pivot into finance, EE or design for example).
in the end you have to think through that yourself, explore your options, maybe you're a bit ashamed of that but asking friends and family is also a good thing (if possible)

>with promises to eliminate the career soon anyway
won't happen lol
>>
CS is fucked, infact, the entirety of STEM is unbelievable fucked and over.
>t. has an undergrad and masters in stem, not CS

wish I had trained to become an electrician instead
>>
>>82359168
You can still become an electrician
>>
>>82359174
I cant because im 24 and live on my own and work full time, who will fund me? apprenticeship wages are half of minimum wage, I wouldn't be able to afford a roof over my head by becoming an apprentice.

go live with your parents for a bit, share a flat with some other people, usually there are also programmes that happen after work so one can get licensed next to working full time
>>
>>82359209
>work full time
most suffering STEMtard
>>
>>82359310
yeah not in my field, I do a technical role in a government job but its not stem
>>82359261
cant as they live in an over 55s community, I have found evening classes near me and I have the money for it, just need to see if the trades are a meme in the uk as people shill it but if thats becoming over saturated then I'll have to look into something else, hopefully not though.
>>
>>82359412
What's your salary/hourly pay?

i graduated from an elite university and got. masters in cs and i do delivery. I can't in good faith advise you to keep at it, but i could just be an unfortunate case.

30k, standard in the north of england and quite shit, problem with wages even 100k isn't much after tax, apparently electricians earn between 26 and 45k in the uk which is also quite shit

yes, working full time is suffering.
Also it seems he probably didn't get a STEM job.
Otherwise he wouldn't be complaining.

Checked, and also correct. Ask professors and tutors for help. It's not too late because there will be people who want to help.
