If they can find the right meds for me, I can technically see myself in remission some day! Though I'll forever have the joint damage that I've built up so far, and whatever else I keep accumulating until then. If I could get on disability, I could find a cheap shithole to live in, all I really care for is decent internet, all my hobbies are on the PC anyway. So honestly yeah, I still have hope.

I notice you don't talk much about yourself. Is that by choice or just a coincidence lately? Just asking since I'm new to these threads

It was the Juni Ito one. I got the Moomin one instead. Usually I get the EarthBound cover every year, but it kind of sucked this year so I went with something else.
My diary is serious business.
>did u install it without any issues?
I spent a really long time trying to install it using the wrong fitting, but I managed to get it installed with some effort. Taste test is fine. I'll possibly drink more water now that I'm not subconsciously trying to ration it.

>>82367981
>My diary is serious business.
do you usually write what happened on your day or do you just write the first thing that comes to mind? the few times i've maintained a journal i'd just write whatever i was thinking at the time, so i'd hardly talk about what's going on and mostly talk about my reflections or a dream that happened or someone i liked, atlhough i only did that in the iteration i had while in high school.
the couple last times i tried it was just a bunch of short notes i'd be making throughout the day whenever i'd feel like it. some were like "wow this coffee is great" but many were just depressive, so i'd just stop writing because it was just sad to read my previous moody entries whenever i wrote, and it wouldn't help me to identify the cause of my feelings.

>>82368564

Does it bother you? Not everyone likes attention, after all. But I notice you're always asking people questions! You could maybe try yapping more, I'm sure people would listen! Don't always have to wait for people to ask, after all.
>what r u gonna do 2day?
I have no idea! Nothing scheduled, nothing planned. I just kinda do things at random. I'd really like to sing but I can't at the moment. Maybe soon...
What about you? What's in store for today?
>>
>>82367981
>do u change it every year?
Yes, they're year long diaries. Next year's will be number 5.
>someone might like it...
Don't joke about that!
>does it taste... Drinkable?
It does. It better for the price...
>What r u gonna do 2day?
I'll try to get ahead on the reading for the course I have. Ideally I can get the two essays written ASAP and then I'll be sorted until next year.

>>82368564
>are you sure it's not going to explode?
More sure than the last one. That was guaranteed to explode without a step-down transformer.

>>82368761
>i wish i had done everything early on the day and then read a book or draw something (it was a work from home day) instead of just getting distracted while surfing the net and only working properly near the end of the day...
Story of my life...
>do you usually write what happened on your day or do you just write the first thing that comes to mind?
A bit of both. Usually it's what I did that day, how I felt, thoughts about the future. It's written at the end of the day, rather than as I go. Sometimes there's a bit of your spoiler, too. I also try to use it as a planner because it has two different calendars but I usually fail at that...
Reading my old diaries is an interesting experience, and I'm usually shocked to see just how depressed I was in a lot the entries. It's also fun reading stuff knowing what happens later, and some of the entries are still really vivid in my mind.
I will happily shill Hobonichis for free to anyone interested in journaling. The fact they cost so much is a good way to make you use it so you don't feel like you've wasted your money. At least that's what worked for me.

Building-wise we have different, much stricter, building codes than the mainland with much higher penalties if something goes wrong. Every elevator needs to be inspected yearly, for instance.

tried arizona green tea for the first time today, it was a bit meh considering how much sugar was on the bottle... if i'm gonna drink something unhealthy, it better taste good. coke and dr. pepper are my favs, i tend to drink coke whenever i go out with my friends since i've kinda dropped alcohol.

>that would b nice though, wouldn't it?
It's a nice idea but I think it goes against human nature. Even in post-scarcity civilizations you will still have scarcities, just not of the more basic necessities. People will desire art, rare collectibles and services from others. Money just dominates as a better mean of trading for these things. Beyond that post-scarcity civilizations still have to worry about people trying to monopolize resources -- they can't last for too long.
>so should anyone b sterilized then in ur opinion?
Yeah, rapists and pedophiles who have been convicted with no reasonable doubt as to their guilt. Also people who are dysgenic but are well above replacement fertility. The better option for them is to just have condoms and abortions paid for, but that won't always work.

>what sort of chores have u done?
Dogs, lawns mowed and fish care. I went to the store a few days ago with her to get her some stuff for her aquarium, a nerite snail and two hillstream loaches, pic related is what those look like. One of them died though, had blood at its mouth. I think the guy who fished them out may have badly injured it and it just died last night. Its a bit too late to try and ask for a refund though and it's too easy for them to claim it wasn't them since they died after a day in our care. How about you though, do anything neat today?
>>82372242
>do u think we'll ever have a post scarcity society?
Maybe. It'd be for a brief period after industrializing the Moon if we don't let any corporations monopolize it. Space habitats would become pretty cost effective and you could massive expand how much food and other products could be made in such a short amount of time. I could only see that lasting for a long time if the population was allowed to shrink, but even then you might get a Boomer-like generation that just hoards wealth from the younger generations.
>how about this weekend?
Sure, I should be free then. My sleep schedule is normie-like now too, although I'm heading to bed after this post.

The more ideas a person has, the cooler they are to me! Since I have like no originality, it's always really fascinating to hear what people come up with. Even if it's not to my taste, I love when people talk about their creations and endeavors. I'm a yap enabler in general, though.

Hello anon. Things are not going well mentally. Some days I feel fine and other days I feel anxious and frustrated at myself. Things are starting to lose meaning and my life feels confusing. But otherwise I'm chugging along. How about you? And also, are you Reimunon or someone else?

Yeah, I just saw your blogpost, I'm sorry to hear. I think trying to stick around these threads might be a good idea, everyone seems pretty comfy and relaxed! But I'm pretty new, actually, on the topic. I got called yukkurianon once because I keep posting yukkuris, but I've only seen these threads for the first time about a week ago. I also post with picrel elsewhere on the board, but I feel like using her doesn't fit these threads. Plus, posting her brings out my inner funposter from 2015, and I want to be more respectful to these nice threads
>I wish I was one myself
What's the closest thing you have to being creative? I feel like everyone could benefit from having some kind of outlet, even if that's building towns in creative Minecraft.

>What's the closest thing you have to being creative?
I used to draw, but quit. I've tried to write fiction but always gave up after one page or so. I play the piano, but I'm not really that good at it. I kind of want to get into crafts, lIke crocheting or something. I wrote some poems on this board when I was sad last year. You might be able to find them in the archives. I think some of them were actually pretty good. How about you? In what ways are you creative?

Well it sounds like you haven't shied away from giving things a go, which is good. Crocheting and other crafts like that seem really fun and cute, plus you get a little dude/dudette/thing out of it! Which you can take pictures of and show everyone!
>In what ways are you creative?
I'm a music dork. Singing, DJing, finger drumming, and maybe one day I'll finally learn how to produce my own stuff... One day...
But I kinda differentiate between my kinda stuff and coming up with original ideas, characters, music, stories, etc. Really all I ever do is work with other people's work and/or copy them. I don't write my own songs, produce my own songs (yet...), you know? I don't spawn anything, I guess is what makes it different to me.

The plan is to be able to generate gifts for people on command. I think it would be awesome to give out handmade gifts with cards handwritten in pretty cursive. (If only I was good at cursive...)
>Really all I ever do is work with other people's work and/or copy them.
I do that too, but there's nothing wrong with that. You have to get inspiration from other people to make good music, stories, etc. Great artists steal from other artists. I've tried writing my own songs but they all suck and I'm too lazy to learn how to write sheet music in order to be able to play the piano while I sing. In fact, I could probably just learn basic comping but yeah too lazy. Gotta learn how to read chord notations and stuff... Same thing with writing, too lazy but I have story ideas and OCs in my head.

>>82375860

Space habitats would become pretty cost effective and you could massive expand how much food and other products could be made in such a short amount of time. Slightly exciting day. Ventured out to the GCA to buy a battery bank. I arruved too late and everywhere was closed. Ordered it from HKTVmall.
Went on the Star Ferry. Pretty nice views and it was only $4. A good tourist trap, I think. I think the view from the peak is probably better.
TL note: $4 is about 0.44 euros. I think it's only $1 if you pay with an Amex card.

I don't recall you ever wishing that you had a functional body. You don't go through physical pain, only psychological, and that isn't the same at all. And I'm not trying to make light of your problems, I'm just saying that you shouldn't put yourself on the same level as someone who deals with health issues.
If I hadn't used the word "assumption" you'd have probably tried to steer this conversation in a completely different way. Hopefully you get the point my retarded ass is trying to make, it isn't about assumptions, it's about intruding in other people's problems and thinking you can make a difference.

Anyway I'm done sneeding about it

Nah, they're all for stomach issues. Turns out I got contaiminated with some bacteria that can cause stomach cancer and also gastritis got worse so now I need medical therapy. Also I have a fatty liver (due to overweightness) so I also need to lose weight if I want to keep my liver going. Dieting and taking it easy, probably.

Yeah, there's a standartized diet that's gastritis-friendly so I'm following that. At least I can still eat something flavourful.

Nah, I already sorted it all out. It's good to have a second pill holder in the house. All that's needed is to remember what goes when.

Mr. President, the second hillstream loach has died. Using my little water tester it may have been not salty enough for them, if the 0.04% salinity reading is right. It's odd that that'd do them in though and the nerite snail would be absolutely fine.

Now I kind of wonder how feasible a chicken as a proper house pet is. I wonder if they can be litter trained. If you've got a lot of ideas in your head I can see why you'd just want to get them on the page as fast as possible. What makes you see it as a downside?
When I'm writing for work I usually write very slowly, and re-write the same sentence a bunch of times until it feels right. The upside is that I can usually submit the first draft, and after that it's just whatever edits I get asked to do. The downside is that it takes an eternity to do anything.

>Yeah, I should still try to keep vigilante at least. Won't always end well, and all.
That's true. Still, assuming good faith seems like a good way to get into heaven. I know there's a thing in Asia where people dressed as monks try to solicit donations from you and I saw one at the botanical gardens here so steered clear. If I didn't know any better I might have been duped.
>How've you been also?
I feel very content right now. I've been in HK for a year now and I've more or less gotten used to it, or my version of living here, at least. Maybe the secret to happiness was just getting very far away from my old life (in a literal sense), abandoning any hope of fitting in, doing everything on my own terms, and generally living my simple life like a recluse. Snufkinmaxxing, so to speak.
How are you faring?

If you want to talk about moving countries with someone I'm happy to do that. I moved a year ago.
>>
>>82381406
I've never even moved to a different place in my own town. Now there is a need to change country. I am very scared and pressured by responsibility, I don't know which country to choose. I can choose any of many countries including Europe (All, not only EU), Japan, I guess some other countries. At the moment, of course, I already work for a German company remotely as a junior software developer, but the salary is unstable because I am part time and now they don't want to give me fulltime, on an income of 1000 euros to live in Germany will be difficult. The worst thing, of course, is that I am alone, the language barrier and the fact that I can not work long, after 4-5 hours of work my energy drops to zero. In general, the situation is disturbing
>>
>>82381369
wew, those dastardly monks. I remember I heard about a more scandalous thing happening recently involving monks too. It was crime related iirc. I'm doin' alright myself, just busy. Had more ideas too, but I need to research them all more. Being a recluse is also nice, I can agree.
>At least someone's happy.

I see.
I moved to Hong Kong about a year ago without knowing any Cantonese (and I still don't, honestly). It was a big step and the first few weeks were really difficult and I felt completely out of my depthy but once you figure out how to feed yourself a lot of the pain goes away, especially if you can work from home and go at your own pace. I like it a lot here but the rent is very high so you'd be better off in somewhere like rural Japan.
>The worst thing, of course, is that I am alone, the language barrier and the fact that I can not work long, after 4-5 hours of work my energy drops to zero. In general, the situation is disturbing
It's good to learn the local language, but it may not be necessary if English is widely-ish spoken like it is where I am. But if you want to make friends with locals you should probably make the effort. I can't really give any advice for the loneliness though, I haven't made any friends here and almost all of my interactions with others are over the internet now...
Don't worry about not being able to work that long. Few people are productive for the entire work day (I think full time employees actually only work for like 3 hours a day or something).
I think the opportunity is worth doing, especially if you're not that happy with your life where you are now. I'm definitely much happier here than I was in my old city.

Some magnet stuff amongst other things. I had more ideas about a design I told you about before, but it'll be a bit difficult for me to make anytime soon. It's an improvement on the idea I had that I think is the key to making it work wonderfully.

I understand. I didn't have many friends in my home country either, I haven't been very social for the last year, but I still meet sometimes. When I move there will be no one to turn to, except for a couple of acquaintances in Norway and Switzerland, which I can't afford with my salary. >I think the opportunity is worth doing, especially if you're not that happy with your life where you are now. I'm definitely much happier here than I was in my old city.
I've been planning to move for a long time, but I was planning to do it around 2027 when I save up money, but now the conditions force me to go with almost nothing as there is a high probability that I won't live till 2027. On the plus side, I'm white so I'm not likely to face racism.

>I've not but I really should. And just read more in general outside of work. I've only read that one extract from Dubliners and his letters to Nora Barnacle. Maybe don't read those...
i've read a bit of one letter and it seemed funny to me lol. it's interesting to see how people would communicate with those back in the day, when phones weren't widely used, so you'd have to write long letters fairly frequently tailing everything, as they were the only method of communication (i guess the telegraph also existed, but it wasn't used for things like that). i've sent postcards and stuff when i was a kid, but it's nothing like that.
to be honest, even though collecting the letters that are sent to you and having to really thing about what you wanna write sounds romantic, i think i prefer how we are now, since we can choose how we wanna communicate and we can opt for more asynchronous communication channels if we so wish

may we know where are you from? and which languages do you know other than english? i think knowing that would help at making recommendations. for example, i think the average person from southern eu wouldnt like Japan, as people are less sociable over there. that being said, this is 4chan, so you prolly aren't like the average.

it would also help to know what kind of job do you want over there. if you think you can get a remote work, you could do as eiki said and move to a more rural area, if you wanna meet with fellow expats or just young people in general, you should go to a capital city.

eiki also made a good point and it's that there are many countries and cities in which you can get by with just english (Netherlands would also be another good example!). you'll have to learn the local language if you wanna interact with locals optimally, but you can generally still interact with other expats in english.

That was the case for me here. If you're the kind of person that can get by without others it's not too bad. Maybe even a little liberating.
>And when you arrived you already had a job and everything?
Yes. Technically I'm a PhD student but I get a very generous stipend and (am supposed to) treat it like a full-time job.
>How did you deal with bureaucracy and stuff, hiring translators?
Fortunately English is an official language here, so it was straightforward enough getting everything done. The hardest part was the visa application, and that was straightforward enough. I think HK is pretty lax in that regard though, so your mileage may very in other countries. You should probably hire a translator or immigration lawyer if you need to fill out paperwork in another language though. Also make sure you have enough for your housing and utility deposits.

We're basically reading someone's old-timey sexts. It's crass and not the kind of love you'd see in Hollywood pictures, but that was real love there. Plus it's funny to know that the guy who wrote Ulysses had a fart fetish.
I wrote a postcard for someone recently and it was nice planning it out before committing it to cardboard. Plus it was nice picking out the stamps, which I have since bought a bunch of for future mail. But you're right, it's good to have the option. I think it'd be more stable and last longer, but genetics is only one part of the equation. As an example for why it can't be the solution would be with brain damage. Your genetics can leave you to be a very prosocial person but brain damage can easily make someone more psychopathic, despite that.

>indeed! make up sucks anyway
Yeah, I don't get it. I've heard before that makeup may be more of a thing because women use it to compete with one another, but it's beyond me. Guys appreciate how pretty someone is long-term without makeup, makeup only really helps in hooking up which isn't what girls like.

If you do have a large, fenced yard then you could probably make it work out there. It's an investment to make their coop and everything -- I honestly don't recommend it :'^).
>i do love pigeons too! i dont get why people hate them so much.
I think it's proximity. Pigeons aren't as afraid of humans as other birds since we domesticated them for so long and now the ones in the cities are like feral cats, relatively tame and they thrive around people. Feral cats don't really poop on people though.
>very cute! my fav part about pigeons is how their head wobbles
I like it when they ride trains B^)

I'm from Ukraine and the war is getting really close to my hometown so I can't stay here anymore. If I don't leave the country I'll probably get mobilized and killed in a couple of months. I know English, native Russian and Ukrainian and a little German, Japanese and Czech. I generally don't mind learning the local language. I want to work remote - I've been doing it for like 3 years now i guess but in software development I only have about a month of professional experience. I'll probably get refugee status and either keep my current work or switch to something better if I find a good option. I just don't have enough skills/qualifications to immediately apply for decent work and get a work visa instead of some factory job.

>did he wake up late or do roosters call at midday too?
I've never had one, but I'm pretty sure they'll do their calls all throughout the day based on their mood. They serve as watchmen for their hens too, they'll alert them if they notice any dangers like a hawk nearby. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB91GIgoEUI
The hen I mentioned before was doing a similar call.
>that's always yummu. i used to drink milk every morning for breakfast but nowdays i dont even feel hungry anymore anyways
But if you stop then your bones will grow weak :pensive:. You must consoom.
>it's my second fav one, spring being the first for obvious reasons. though if flowers didn't exist then fall would be my fav. best temperatures and vibes too.
A good deal of mushrooms will sprout up during Fall though! Also parasitic plants sometimes bloom in Fall and Winter and they can look quite odd, especially as they'll be a lone flower with no leaves. Mistletoe does have leaves but it's a parasitic plant and it blooms in Fall too :).
>green isn't really an inviting colour when it comes to food (that isn't a vegetable) i think.
I agree, it's an odd color for anything that isn't a vegetable and that makes it seem like it could be rotten. His final recipe should include food coloring B^). They already do that for cheeses to make them appear more yellow and orange.
>whenever a waiter comes in the kitchen saying "table x has a vegan" then literally everyone just sighs loudly. or insults them.
kek, from what I've gathered a lot of farmers don't like them either. They see a lot of the ignorant claims they'll make about farming and farmers and just roll their eyes. I know from my own point of view that the idea that eggs from hens you own being a bad thing is just non-sense and the only real argument I've heard in response to it is "well if you sterilized your hen she'd live longer."

>well it surely is an unique idea. why would it be so stinky though?
Must be all of the broken down proteins. Two different amino acids contain sulfur and that sulfur can make all kinds of stinky compounds. That's why burning hair or nails smells so awful, keratin is rich in those amino acids. The vats they ferment them in also isn't enough to keep bacteria from proliferating, just limiting it. Even saturated saltwater can host bacteria as long as it's sodium chloride for the salt. So all of that bacteria is also making a stinky mess in the anaerobic breakdown of the fish.

Thinking on it, I wonder how it'd go with other salts. Saturated sodium hydroxide(lye) would stop all microbial activity to my knowledge, so too would saturated potassium acetate or carbonate. Hmmm... Ideas for poisoning myself :)

It sucks, but you do get a kind of confidence knowing you came out the other end okay. The key thing for me was learning what the food/grocery delivery apps here were. After that I could learn my surroundings.
This thread helped a lot, too. Even though I was miles away from anyone I knew, the anons here were good company.

>rearranged brain tissue to manufacture
hmm... that seems interesting. could you explain?
>may be more of a thing because women use it to compete
other than that, i think they might just like using it cause it makes them prettier, considering how almost every woman is insecure about their appearance. kinda like how guys go to the gym not really for actual strength, but more for looks and to appease their masculine side. i guess!
>fenced yard
i wish i had a yard in general... sadly i don't since i live in a flat. i would happily make the investment though.

well, its kind of the only thing you can do when it comes to people like that anyway. sadly one of my friends is becoming a really strict vegan and it's starting to worry me

The character I have had for the longest is a girl who has the "Mark of the Last Unicorn" (a star on her forehead). She grew up being hidden by her adopted sister until she started gaining magical powers, re-igniting the unicorn hunts that used to occur in her world(one without magic for 1000 years). And so she sets off on a journey with her adopted older sister and a new witch friend to discover the source of her magic...
Um.... so yeah ! That was a lot of talking for such a simple idea.... but, I really loved the movie The Last Unicorn as a kid, and later on the Unicorn Tapestries, so it's a mix of those two inspirations plus generic fantasy desu...
Meow, now I feel shy, I know it's childish, but it's a really important story to me !

the pointlessness of things. of people. of concepts, events, existence. if the shell is empty, the world perceived is also empty.

I used to think the same way, but singing is a skill just like any other instrument ! You can learn and improve over time. And you don't have to sing high, you can always change the key or octave of a song to fit your voice. Lower voices are really pretty too, so just keep at it !

idk if you're gonna see this wall of text, hopefully you are still lurking here and it helps you a bit

in normal circumstances, people usually get the job first and then move away, but in your case you could just move away if you think you're in danger and then try to get a job. if you go to somwhere close like poland (even if it's temporary), you'd probably have more help than if you were to move outside of europe, since there'll be many ukranians who have gone through the same, and there'll be resources to help you.

i think you should prioritize getting some sort of stability over the destination. i know germany is better than poland but your life is worth more. you cannot predict when war will get to you after all. choose a few countries in europe, start applying and see how it goes.

if you want some recommendations so you can start somewhere (dont take me too seriously, i dont know you or your circumstances), i'd recommend, apart from the obvious and ideal central eu countries that everybody would like to go as their first option (germany, denmark, netherlands, switzerland, belgium and luxembourg) for you to go to:

bulgaria: hey, hear me out. i know it's gonna adopt the euro soon and it'll become a bit more expensive, but i think it's still affordable. it's very european for a balkan country and i THINK (im a bit sleepy so i could be wrong) that i've seen that you'd be able to apply for temporary protection for one year, so you'd be able to more tomorrow and have a permission to stay for a while while looking for a job over there (though you'd still have to figure out the housing stuff). it's not ideal, but it'd be good as a temporary stay.

czechia: not that expensive, the central part of prague is gorgeous and you know the language

malta: official language is english and, even though there's no much work and it's a bit expensive, it's often overlooked and worth to search for job offers online just to see if you are lucky.

>>
>>82394366
idk man i just keep telling mysefl that i need to be super productive but then i spend hours on my phone instead of getting things done. procrastination at its finest... i shouldnt even be on 4chan rn. gosh if only my mental state were better maybe i wouldn't be brainrotting so hard
like ive isolated myself from everyone and i think that fucked my brain a lot so i havent been functioning properly as a person. i mean i also got ghosted recently so that hurts, and i keep ruminating about why they ghosted me. idk i'm just sad and frustrated and hurt
>>
>>82394895
If you're sad, frustrated, and hurt, it makes sense you'd want to do the brainrot easy things to take your mind off it. Do you NEED to be super productive, are you running behind on anything immediate? Or are you just piling requirements onto yourself because you think you should be doing them, which only ends up bogging you down more, making you feel too overwhelmed to get anything done? Try not to think of these as rhetorical questions, because they aren't.
>>

Prioritizing is the way! Let yourself be soothed a bit, forgive yourself for not doing everything, and don't judge how much your "best" is. I've noticed that personally, I have to do things with momentum. Start small, work towards bigger things, it's a pretty common strategy for a reason. But the main thing to remember is that small could literally just be "didn't procrastinate X chore." My advice is vague and general because all I know is vague/general stuff, but point is sorry if it's kinda annoying/repetitive with what others say!
>>
>>82395011
anyway i started doing what you said and i actually got one or two things done, thanks anon, now i just have to check off 10 more items from the list. oh well it never ends lol. ijust need to stop ... procrastinating... the start of these sessions.

The point of lists from a mental health standpoint is to feel GOOD when you cross one off, but there's always the danger of mental doom/dread when you look at the rest of it in comparison. Focus on "oh wow I improved and got something done THAT quickly in response to some positivity/advice" because it is indeed impressive and good!
>>
>>82395225
Honestly I'm used to lists with like 50+ items that I never fully complete. I just move the items to the next list or just never complete them lol.

>Have you always been such a positive person?
Relative to this place? Yes. Relative to normies, kinda. Relative to now, no.
I started my path down mental health stuffs about a decade ago now, and I've come a long way. Initially, I would be outwardly positive, but inwardly negative and pessimistic, but I kinda faked it til I made it. That an abundance of therapy really does just do that to you if you actually open up to it and try everything they suggest.
>what should I call you?
Everyone called me Bandage back in the day, because I used to trip to make people mad. That and I liked attention, which very apparently has not changed!

>Bandage

>attention

>No wonder why you feel like you feel like you don't get anything done...
I actually feel great about it honestly. I tell myself, "it doesn't matter if everything doesn't get done, you're allowed to be lazy as long as it is done eventually :)" What really matters is if I complete 10 to 20 tasks per day! Feels amazing when I do. Actually, being able to move tasks to the next day helps with time management since it's actually pretty unrealistic to complete everything in a day. However, it's necessary for me to write everything down so I can keep track of absolutely EVERYTHING I need to do. Hmmm... maybe I should apply that mindset to my hobbies. I've been feeling like I haven't been doing my hobbies consistently...

>I wish fixing my brain wouldn't take so long...
It's a very unfortunate thing to be so slow, but slow it is...
>What's therapy like? Haven't tried...
Different therapists have different styles and schools of thought, but for the most part it's not too dissimilar from the things I'm saying to you. I often regurgitate the things I've been taught, though usually with a 4chan-accepted coat of paint. Unfortunately, mental health stuff can have a very ugh gross normie tone that feels condescending, and it turns a lot of people away from taking it seriously.
In terms of what you actually do, you walk in, tell them how it's been since you last saw them, and discuss problems you want to work on. "I have panic attacks at home when I'm just sitting around thinking about stuff" can be met with the trick of filling a bowl with cold water and dipping your face into it. That's my go-to example, because it's worked for me in the past back when I even had panic attacks. Nowadays I just using more general grounding techniques to avoid the panic attacks altogether, but a good therapist will give you something immediate for you to try to see if it helps, then take your feedback on it next week if you tried it, and finally adjust their advice if needed. It's pretty simple, and therapists are usually particularly chill. You have to vibe with your therapist though, it really makes a big difference.
>However, it's necessary for me to write everything down so I can keep track of absolutely EVERYTHING I need to do.
This would drive me insane!!! Lists make me feel terrible, I can't overcome that aforementioned dread of looking at the unfinished parts... I'm pretty sure my therapist and I talked about it at the time, and I'm not sure if they advised it or if I came up with it, but now I just tell people what I have to do out loud, usually my girlfriend. It helps me remember because I guess... I hear myself say it? Makes it stick for some reason!
>>
>>82395327
Ohh, okay, the "uwahh" honestly is what made me think you crossed the line towards parody, lol.

>What kind of exercises do you do in vocal training?
Scales, breath training, variations on warmups... my teacher used to make me sing lying down with my hands on my diaphragm to feel my breathing. And of course practice !
Maybe one day I'll share my voice meow... I really like to record myself singing and I have lots of my old vocal exercises saved
>Are you sick? :(
yeah, I have a feeling it's the flu since that's been going around.

I used to sing along with scales on the piano, and then we would do slides, where you go from a high note to a low note. Those were my favorites !
>I dunno, i've been told that i always sound depressed despite me not really wanting to be that way.
I see.... I've been told I look depressed often. Maybe it's just how you modulate your tone ? Or you're not as expressive ?

>you ask too much of me
But think of the possibilities!!
>would you like it if someone drew a karen for you?
Well of course!! I'd appreciate any drawing for me, probably no matter how good/bad it is, honestly. I'm a sap. If it's a gift, I pretty much already love it. So long as it's not like... obviously atrocious... like if someone gave me a dead raccoon...
>have you ever tried to make something with karen in it?
I'm not very good at anything that involves visuals, I'm more a music person. Technically I could do like one of those MAD type videos, but that sounds pretty hard!

>>82396645
>Is there anywhere you'd like me photograph while I'm there?
Oh goodness I'm so unfamiliar with that place I have no idea what's there! I just did a quick google search and saw big tall buildings, and they make me go oooh and ahhhh very easily.

>>82396734
>I cursed myself uwahhh !
It's okay, you have plenty of time to draw more on better days!! I'm pretty sure everyone would love to keep seeing the occasional drawings.
>I really like to record myself singing
Same... I'm always waiting for vocaroo threads to pop up so I have excuse to sing and post it. Usually no one replies though.
Do you think the vocal lessons were worth it? Also were you a total noob when you started? I've been singing just for fun for years now that I've eventually made some pretty good progress but I'd really like to actually git gud one day. I'm not sure how valuable lessons are or if I should just be a practice maniac.

>I've been told I look depressed often
my mom constantly asks me why I keep making sad faces but i'm really not doing it on purpose... when im in a decent mental state and im in public i manage to look somewhat normal i think. the only giveaway of my actual mood would probably be the bags under my eyes
>you're not as expressive

i am too stupid anyways. i used to make sfm posters years ago but it always took me ages to finish because in my eyes every little detail has to be perfect or i get annoyed. best i can do is put funny captions with taos next to them.
>If it's a gift, I pretty much already love it.
heheh i think the best kind of gifts are the handmade ones. like, i'd much prefer to receive something made specifically for me from a friend rather than something store bought, even if what they made is not perfect. it really makes me feel like im appreciated and thought about! which is exactly what i need to be happy. sadly.
>if someone gave me a dead raccoon...

Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. Or five small hims.
Today I went on adventure to Donki and to try and find a caterpillar cake after hearing rumours you can find them here. I haven't found the full-sized cake yet, but I'm getting close...
Later I got a pizza from somewhere else. It was quite nice. A schoolgirl approached me as I was eating it outside and asked if she could have a bite. I'm not sure if she was trying to flirt with me or if she just wanted to eat it. I must still look very young either way...
The MTR was incredibly busy today.

No instruments, exactly... Unless you count playing finger drums on one of those MIDI drum pads... Or the kazoo... Or otamatone... Stylophone... Kalimba... Jaw harp... Slide whistle... I really like silly/weird instruments. Above all, I love singing! I noticed we have a lot of sing-happy people itt.

It is, especially here. It was a white kid from an international school though which maybe explains it a little. I almost have her some but I figured I paid $50 for that slice and I was going to get my $50 worth.

Everytime I hit the bunk I get so depressed. The moment I stop being distracted by something my thoughts remind me of what a miserable life I have. I've got nothing to show for having lived. I don't have a passion to follow blindly. I don't have a someone to dedicate myself to. I don't have any desires other than the one to be happy, yet my happiness depends on things outside of my control.
The idea that I might just have to keep living bouncing from distraction to distraction, fills me with an awful feeling of dread. Is this really all I'm going to live for? To do nothing but work, consume, work, consume, work consume... As a kid I was sure I wouldn't end up the way I ended up. I had a dream but I gave it up. I still regret it to this day. I feel like I had the potential to be someone, to do things in my life, but it has been stripped away from me due to my mental illnesses. Depression takes away so much energy from me. I can barely make something to eat, and when I do, it feels like I'm trying to lift a truck. Everything seems like too much effort, even the things I enjoy, even the things I want to fight for. I wish I was normal. I wish I could wake up in the morning and look forward to the day, rather than curse the world for not having killed me in my sleep. I'm so tired anons. But God knows I'm going to keep trying until I cannot even breathe anymore. There is no point in anything anyways.

Right now it's probably Kaiju by Sakanaction. Apparently it's an opening to an anime, which makes me feel like a dweeb, but my voice really suits a lot of Sakanaction's songs, which makes me have more fun singing!
>i only started last year
