>>82455193Classical music, mainly because I don't know how to discover bands. Also since I don't want to pay for Spotify I use youtube, its algorithm isn't that great compared to Spotify's (you mostly get the same song's over and over), except some rare gem here and there such as this one.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T4CGjMkJ2s0

>>82456150I missed this, I do appreciate the blackasses for their culture, even if they are blackasses.
>>82456173What's wrong with The Smiths?
>>82456302I think Morrisey's vocals (and sometimes lyrics) are really insufferable.I don't hate whiny fops but his moaning is pretty irritating in particular
>>82455965This is beautiful anon. What kind of classical do you like? I don't know much about it but I have some favourites. I mostly like music that reminds me of nature in some way.

I know some people can't stand Morrissey's voice, and honestly, I think a lot of that criticism is rooted in homophobia. His lyrics touch something so deep in me, it's like they speak directly to my soul. As a Latina, I can't even explain how much I love him... his voice, his presence: it's something unreal.
>>82456365Meant to reply to this lol --> >>82456321
>>82456350You know. I just realized that you are halfway around the world, most probably... You are not wrong, though, but the Caucasus in not much better, really. It is only a matter of time before another war, even if Georgia is not involved. If you ever go to former USSR nations, just go to the Baltic states if you want modern Western lifestyle, or Kazakhstan for some nice culture immersion (plus some of the best horse you can eat).
>>82456365>I think a lot of that criticism is rooted in homophobiaI genuinely never clocked him as gay. Metrosexual at most.>As a LatinaYour opinion on The Smiths is genetic.
>>82456388>It is only a matter of time before another warIt's a grim thought, but such is lifeYou're right, I'm halfway across the world but don't think your actions over there do not ripple into my oceans, they doIt's going to be an interesting 5-10 years, huh?
>>82456365>As a Latina,Post tits hoe
>>82456392>Your opinion on The Smiths is genetic.Yes, totally! Morrissey is basically part of who we are now. It's kind of sad the Brits don't really get him like we do.
>>82456415It will be, my friend.

>>82456437I know some Mex and Argentinians who say that there's just a general obsession with white alt (for lack of a better term) shit.
>>82456458We're just so emo. You wouldn't get it lol.
These threads only exist so glowies can fill out your profile
>>82456478>You wouldn't get it lolMask off, I'm latino. Only reason I got my gf was because I checked all the boxes of that 'alt' obsession.

>>82456604That's such a cute story. I met my now ex at this bar where he was bartending at the end of 2022. I had begged my friend to go inside because the place looked so cute, but she kept trying to convince me to go home. Finally, I convinced her, and we ended up sitting at the bar. I remember thinking, "wow this bartender is cuteeeee" He gave us free drinks and shots, and wouldn't stop talking to me, so I got a little bold and wrote my number on the receipt. The rest was history. The funny part is, he never liked The Smiths or Morrissey but he tolerated my obsession just like I tolerated his, let's say... very questionable taste in music. We're not together anymore :/ and I did make myself a little sad about it, but I really hope everything goes beautifully for you two. <3
>>82456336I'd say I stick to a few well known composers and pieces I like, especially piano since I play it, but also other instruments or orchestra. My favourite composer is Schubert, very intimate but also deep and original, you can listen to the "unfinished symphony", piano chamber music (death and the maiden is the best one imo and the most well known) or piano sonatas (D. 959 and D.960 which are the most famous ones) he also composed a lot of Lieder (German poetry transformed into songs) wich are beautiful. The song cycle Winterreise (winter's travel) is deeply sad though, truly you feel as if you were travelling along in the snow with the protagonist (read the texts as you go), some highlights are "der Lindenbaum" "gute nacht" (first song)I also like rachmaninov (esp. Piano concertos), beethoven, French baroque music (very glorious sounding it's really cool and sadly not too well known to the general public, try with "march for the ceremony of the turks") bach (a genius, you can give some of his cantatas or organ music a try), the French impressionists (Debussy, Ravel, Faure, Saint Saens) which you might like if you like music that reminds you of nature, you could listen to: "La mer" (debussy), "miroirs", "daphnis et chloe"- absolutely amazing work, but maybe too long to begin with (ravel). There's also a work by Schnittke called "voices of nature" it's a but weird but maybe you like it.Sorry for the long post I don't want to be annoying, but classical music is a great passion of mine and I'm always glad when someone wants to know more. I can't stand the view that it is only for snobs and that you need to understand the musical theory behind it to fully enjoy it, I'm the living proof of the opposite.
>>82456702>very questionable taste in musicdish>I really hope everything goes beautifully for you two. <3aw ty, 3 years strong so far
>>82456693Y-yeah... Sometimes I hear a song from a tik tok that sounds upbeat and I listen to that :skull emoji:
>>82455193I've been unironically listening to music I pick up from insta edits like poster boy or washing machine heart
Mexican jams and crunkcore.
there was this poster, i kind of grew to be a secret admirer of hishe's (i believe)asian, canadian, probably mentally ill, a library user, and a disagreeable shitposter. i like disagreeable shitposters with taste and personalityi like stalking his posts on desuarchive if i can find himhe posted some classical music, and i really like it. ive definitely found a fair amount of music from r9k, as i literally live here, as a loser autistso ive been really enjoying violin music quite a lot, for some reasoni played violin in school but i sucked at it. i even got an A at it, i think the teacher had the hots for me. i was quite good looking back then. i think in actuality i was quite a lousy student, but i got away with murder so often becuse i was decent looking. looking back at it, many times i was so bad and i still passed with decent grades because of lookism. i wasnt really aware of how well i looked back thenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8TtZbuO_nY
