Personally, I think people give 2020/COVID far too much credit; society's always been fucked like this (socially, anyway), and people being told (but not actually doing) to stay home for 2 weeks only ripped off the mask of decency and decorum everyone wore prior. Though it is hilarious how unprepared everyone was, you'll notice how quickly everyone stopped giving a shit after 2021 started.
