I thought i was being smart by getting a nice aquarium for cheap but then i realized that i hate this household and want to leave as soon as possible and that actually using the thing would make me responsible for many little lives and shackle me further to this terrible place.
Not its standing 1/4 set up in my room and i don't know what to do with it.

If you can move out slowly and not just have to pack stuff up and leave it's not hard to transport aquariums (or at least the plants and fish) the hardest is just getting everything out and transporting the glassware

Easy solution, just get into aquascaping. I want to do it, too. Great news too the moss balls are back in stock everywhere across the usa the parasitic invasive snail was dealt with that was causing the shortage

Its more of a mental thing. "I don't like this place, but i am still growing roots here"

plants on their own don't really work i think. I also don't want the inhabitants to be the only allure but it looks like at least some shrip are needed to keep things going unless you inject co2 and stuff.
