People are too used to applying and interviewing online that if you just show up to a place introduce yourself and apply in person it gets you a much better chance. And if you get the job, just show up. I've seen people canned non-stop for being late or constantly calling out but genuine fucking idiots that constantly fuck up and make life difficult for everyone else get tons of slack and second chances because they show up consistently.
