have anyone found it difficult to socialise even on the internet? questions always seem to be unanswered and messages go unseen. even if I manage to find someone to talk to, conversations seem very awkward and don't seen to last very long, which leaves me puzzled. has anyone experienced that?
I have no one to talk to online and I have been trying hard for a couple weeks
>>82463273I think most of the users here experience this. I read your thread and though "what do I care?" and left the thread. But I felt bad desu and had to respond. Internet conversations just aren't right.
>>82463347are they not right though? every day I see dozens of people enjoying socialising without any barriers (I'm not just talking about 4chan,social websites on the Internet in general) but can't quite do it myself. is there some kind of fallacy I'm missing?
i spent the whole day seething about not living in early 2000s internet.i spent an hour contemplating if i should make a discord account. if i should install windows and play multiplayer games.idk anon, i just know that people say early 2000s internet felt more genuine. even normal people used tons of forums with a lot of activity. MSN, myspace, tons of blogs. i guess today the issue is having 10 mega websites with billions of people always online. there's no exclusivity, nothing feel special or unique. i actually tried living this summer only using a text browser and niche communities and i was kinda feeling like the world is bigger. the issue is that no one else does anymore, so you go outside and the world will never be like it was in the 2000s. so you kinda need all this distraction in this day, youtube, streamers, fandoms, games, because we truly have nothing else.but as for how you make friends on the internet, idk. maybe someone else will teach us in this thread.dungeon synth enjoyer spotted btw.
>>82463273I get ghosted irl and online all the time. Truth is if you aren't liked irl you won't be liked online either.
>>82463273I felt like it was easier to socialize on the internet before. I have not made a meaningful connection online in years. All of my computer friends are people I have known for at least ten years now.
>>82463520im too young to remember 2000s internet but maybe you're right
>>82463549me too, i'm just 20 something and clinging on the hope that it was better. most people say it was and i kinda believe it. hell even 10 years ago i remember it being better. i'm mostly talking about the relationship between real and internet life too.
>>82463568normies are weird. I'm not even creepy, generally people enjoy my presence and laugh at my jokes but it doesn't seem like anyone wants to be more than an acquaintanceI guess you can never fix poor social skills, they will always feel like something is off and keep their distance
