How do I stop being a poser and consume a media? I'm addicted to obsessively checking wikis and lurking in discords. My Steam played to unplayed games ratio is 1:12. I follow ~5000 anime art accounts but my only anime is a single episode of JoJo's. Same with vtuber porn. I can't stop doing this. How do I sit down and read a Star War comic instead of learning the precise schedule of when the next ones will come out. How do I consoom
>>82467169How do you check your steam played to unplayed ration? Also, do you know what a good manga would be if I liked Houseki no Kuni? I've already read Fire Punch and don't really feel like reading Chainsaw Man (I've finished the first arc but don't wanna read any further). Also I have someone at work I wish your pic related happened to.
>>82467169you'll find that media worth consuming and media that have visible "fandoms" online have almost zero overlap.
i'm not quite that bad but yeah i feel you especially with the played to unplayed rstio, it's worse with vidya too because of the time commitment and how fast people get over one game and move to the next, my only advice would be to stop trying to keep up with everything and just focus on one thing like a genre or medium and also to try to watch things people are talking about whether it's old media that gets perennial attention or something that just came out knowing other people are engaging with the same thing and trying not to let them get a head of you helps
>>82467566i agree but it's the almost that i try to focus on
>>82467169God I'm glad I'm not a zoomer this sounds like a miserable way to exist
>>82467169I bought an RG34XXSP and I've been playing Pokemon Prism every day after work.
>>82467613how would you even know when you don't try consuming it in the first place
>>82467755wanna add that it's taken over my doomscrolling. except for right now, haha. I'm just getting home and got fininished eating at my desk so I'm gonna go start playing again :)
>>82467613start by just reading/watching something good that people have heard of but praise in normal ways like by writing reviews or whatever. hang out on letterboxd or whatever instead of nerdslop places and torrent random shit.
